The chibi look is weird but honestly not a huge deal. Gen 4 was my official start to the main games so I'm looking forward to it.

I love the chibi look. They had to do something like that, as the original sinnoh games were still firmly on the grid. A full proper human protagonist walking through a blocky landscape would look weird.
I hope in the park where pokemon can follow you they do it like in lets go.

as long as the remakes are similar to omega ruby/alpha sapphire with more focus on making them good games, i dont mind what else they have.

the stuff i would want though

• megas and no dynamax
• new/improved story
• platnium episode after the elite 4; with an expansion to giratina like what they did with rayquaza
• hard mode/new game+
• most/all the newer pokemon but make them rare/can only get one etc. so it feels like the originals somewhat
• official arceus event
• make regigigas useable

I worry more about the difficulty of the game. If it’s like Sword and Shield I will not touch it. The game had no real « maze ». A toddler could go from one city to another. Cynthia was the real deal for me, when I played Diamond and Plat’

It's probably because it was my first genuine playthrough of a Pokemon game by myself; but I remember some clutch, close-call moments in Diamond.
I'd say 5th generation was the last set of games to not totally hold your hand.

The only pokemon i had on a high enough level was my infernape, so that goddamn hippowdon the ground lady had was the bane of my existence. I lost to her so much. I had to win against the bugboi with a coin amulet and then loose to her over and over to increase the level of my starter and get money for full restores. Then when i wanted to beat her i had to hope to hit two fire blasts in a row. I needed the rest of the fire blasts for cynthia, to deal wth the milotic and the garchomp. I was often almost out of pp for good moves when i got to her. Thats why i still had ember. Maybe Cynthia was just hard because I was bad? It never occurred to me to train up the two water types i had in my party to beat the hippowdon.
That damn Bertha scarred me so much, when i later played a kanto game, i think fire red, i got vietnam flashbacks when i saw agatha. I was so relieved when she was just a ghost poison specialist.

"Fliegli" ("Flyli") was the first pokemon i ever caught. My Bidoof was the second one i caught. I was playing in german, but i trade evolved Machamp with an english copy, so it was called "Machamp" and i couldn't change it. Machamp was the second pokemon in my party to reach level 100. Fliegli, Bidoof and Floatsel still haven't.

The sixth spot was free to hatch eggs or train up pokemon for evolution. I wanted to finish that pokedex.

Arceus Legends in concept makes me excited for a Pokemon game again. Let's hope the execution is good, I want to play a Pokemon game again. Well, in a year's plus time, anyway.

Even though Lance had them cheats Dragonite or Red with the strongest team ever, Cynthia is still the worst foe. My father was in UK. So the version he bought was in English. I was so lost

yeah it doesnt matter if you have really high levels if all your team is weak to ice or you have a pokemon with a terrible stat total

Never was big on the stats parts. IV Evs etc... I like the Pokémon, I capture it.

Funny thing is iirc you had a hacked rom game with a talking Pikachu.When you face it, it’s strong as hell. But once you capture the beast... >.>

i used to always use the same pokemon, but ive branched out more recently

I believe the Diamond and Pearl remakes are there to hype up Legends Arceus, so I actually don't have as much of a problem with them being remade as I potentially could have. I still think that outside of the battle scenes, the graphics are a let down. People had a lot of problems with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, but they at least didn't complain about the graphics, LOL.
