No offense but Italy suffering for self neglecting ! I've heard that they ran campaign about hug Chinese (mostly tourist)

There was some Chinese expert that came to help them with the outbreak a few days ago, and he literally told them at a televised press conference that they are completely insane and irresponsible as a nation, that he drove trough Milano and saw large groups of people at public venues, overcrowded restaurants, pizzerias, coffee shops, they were already having death casualties in thousands but no one respected the quarantine. I know a guy that is a heart surgeon here and his sister is working as a nurse in Bergamo, she told him that Italy FUCKED up so much that literally every 3rd doctor/medical staff in the whole country is infected. The fact that the virus has spread so much in their hospitals means that death rate there will keep exponentially growing, since they don't have the capacity to treat every critical patient...

Following the example of Italian stupidity Croatia is at an almost complete lockdown (we can now basically only go to buy food and medicine, everything else is shut down including public transportation, intercity migration is forbidden since today, and all ships to islands have been stopped).

Since today I'm not allowed to sit in my car alone and go visit my grandma 60km away. And we only have 250 infected and 1 death for now, but the initial first growth of infected is the same as it was in Italy 1 month ago.

We're at 48 cases statewide, but 500 people went to get tested yesterday, only 500 cus that's how many tests were available.

That might be true but China have no moral right to preach any other country about corona.
Actual death count in China is still a mystery

Honestly if the US had the ability to test 10000 people a day our numbers would jump up above the combined of Spain and Italy numbers.
There are stories coming out where people have to wait 6 days for test results. (But every celebrity and government official gets their results within 8 hours ) oh and folks are still having to pay to get tested.

It cost around 60 $ for corona test ! But test and all medical facilities about corona are free here.
If you have flue , you just have to call the emergency number and government official admit you in the hospital.

So far our government is focusing on people who have travel history ! And I think it's a good strategy..

Yea they were only testing those who traveled but we had a lot of community contact with those travelers and a lot of people spread it around from there.

Well, we officially have a statewide lockdown here in NY. Everything that isn't a pharmacy, or a supermarket, or a gas station has to shut down until further notice. no outside non-solitary activities. not supposed to leave your house for anything other than essential needs. We have 10,000 cases here now and will probably rise considerably before slow down starts from social distancing.

They closed eviction courts here for 90 days so no one can be evicted during this time--but you can still royally piss off your landlord and the onus is still on you to decide not to pay. Meanwhile me and everyone I know are on unpaid indefinite leave from work.

I really hope they freeze rent completely and start sending checks cuz if not this is just the tip of the iceberg for how hard the US is going to be hit by this.

this will start to die down in about 90 days I think, but there will definitely be a second wave that hits in the winter... hopefully we are more prepared then.

I'm getting cabin fever hard core.

Yea US started that way... here in HI they were able to trace all cases to travel from the mainland, but then community spread started showing up and these people had no interactions with the cases that were known about. As of yesterday we have 71 confirmed cases, only 6 attributed to travel. (More to come since a whole bunch of people tested Saturday).

But thats based on the low number of unrecorded cases. If you don't get all cases you also won't get the people who recovers.

And Germany has a very good health system compared to Feance and Italy.

Did you check the link I posted? Says Germany has 30k+ cases. And highest recovery rate of 500+ people.

Yea, I dyslexic'd the numbers for France and thought they had more cases than that.
I was mainly comparing all to US, where we only have 35 recovered with 46k cases
