Larsi had never liked other giants, ever since he was a child. Not only did he find their sense of honor antiquated, it was hypocritical. Strength and size was king, and the smaller and weaker were often excluded or even outcast. As the smallest runt of his generation, it was relentless. And so now that he stood there, facing the creature he barely reached up to the knees of, it started coming back. Even the blade of the axe was far bigger than Larsi. As his foe leapt into battle, weapon raised high, he briefly contemplated using Hina as a living shield. He didn't need to give up his hostage so soon.

So instead he prepared himself, tossing the pole from his right to his left hand. Stepping slightly to the right, he waited until mere moments before impact when he whipped the pole around. Slamming his weapon into the side of the huge axe, it pushed the strike aside so that it would not crash down in the middle of the walkway, instead striking near the edge of it. At the same time he followed up with his right arm, seemingly punching in the air, only for the second chain finally unfurling from his wrist. Shooting forward like a whip, Larsi aimed to wrap it around the hilt of the axe since it was already so close, tightening it just below(if the axe was held upwards) the axe's head. Should he be successful, he would hold tight, pulling back and not allowing the other giant to pull is weapon free. For while the other giant was larger, and likely would have been stronger if they had been children together, this would no longer be the case.

Ronse's large, heavy axe came down upon Larsi, threatening to cut him down in one strong blow. Larsi changed his weapon from one hand to the other, before swinging it sideways, hitting the descending axe from the side. This parried the axe sideways, causing it to hit the very edge of the platform that they stood on. The entire platform shook and trembled under the might of the Giant, fissures of shockwaves spreading about. The platform was not destroyed, but it was definitely weakened at its core - and if the two men didn't want to end up in the water, they would have to be more careful with their actions.

Larsi followed up with a counter attack, hurling his other hand forward. The chain flew forward, aiming to wrap around the handle of the axe. Ronse's other hand interfered, catching the incoming chain and grabbing it tightly. He yanked onto it, hoping to send Larsi flying off of his feet, but the large Ronse met his match. The two struggled against one another, with Larsi seeming like the stronger man. Enraged, Ronse swung his axe once again, this time right down toward the chain.

With black Busou-shoku no Haki cladding the weapon powerfully, Ronse aimed to cut the chain in two with a powerful cutting technique that could cut even steel.

Steel Splitter...!

To Larsi's surprise his followup was interrupted, the other giant grabbing hold of the chain and tugging. Although it wasn't what he had in mind, it still worked for the pirate. As his foe pulled his massive axe back again, Larsi dug his feet in. And then he heaved, stronger than what the other giant was capable of. Twisting his body he pulled his right hand and chain back, pulling the Vice Admiral's arm with him, unless he let go of the chain. At best, his arm would be pulled along, at worst he would be pulled off balance.

Then as a followup, he flipped his weapon in a reverse grip, coating it in black haki as he swung it forward. Striking the side of the axe head, his goal wasn't to stop the attack, merely redirect it, striking it with nearly the same power as it delivered. The combination of pulling at his opponent's arm and striking at his attack should set him up so that the devastating blow would actually hit himself in the arm.

Vice Admiral Ronse caught the chain and the two large man were now potentially locked in a tug of war. As Larsi twisted his body and pulled, Ronse initiated his attack, slashing downward with his axe in an attempt to sever the chain, and thus destroy one of Larsi's weapons. Larsi, realizing that that was about to happen, flipped his own weapon into a reverse grip and then swung it, hitting Ronse's axe from the side in order to parry it once again. However, in that moment of time, Ronse did the unpredictable.

Instead of continuing the tug of war, Ronse jumped forward just as Larsi hit outward with his weapon, leaving Larsi's front exposed. He let go of the chain and his massive hand came forward, aiming to grab Larsi and drive him to the ground. Their massive size difference would result in Ronse's hand to be as large as Larsi's own torso. Even if Larsi himself was stronger, the sheer difference in size and how much of Larsi's body the hand would hold down, would make it difficult for Larsi to use his full strength.

If Ronse was successful in driving Larsi to the ground, he would get on top of him, raising his axe high up into the air. Glaring down at the much smaller giant, Ronse would speak.

Surrender, this is your last chance!

Ronse said, a cold breeze of the sea hitting the two. Would Larsi make it out to sea, or would he fall here?

Larsi fell himself fall backwards, the chains loosened much sooner from Ronse's grip tha he had anticipated. Not only did the bigger giant avoid his own axe cleaving his limb, he also jumped forward, his now free hand grabbing ahold of Larsi, slamming him down into the walkway. The planks that made up the path shook and creaked, and from his forearm he heard Hina complain, still conscious but subdued.

The force of the move almost knocked the air out of Larsi, and for a moment he was disoriented, though he clung to his weapon, knowing he'd likely need it. His eyes scanned his new surroundings, but didn't see the axe. Had he dropped it in the scuffle? Regardless, the bigger figure loomed over him and held him down with his overwhelming weight. It had been a while since he had been in such a position, so once again it reminded him of his younger days. Once more he felt his rage boiling, the arrogance of the bigger man driving him on, as it did the night he escaped Elbaf. Perhaps he would duffer the same fate as the guards that time.

His right hand and chain mostly free, he swung it up, past the arm, using it as cover to hide from the Vice Admiral's line of sight. Up and behind his head, disguising the snap as he whipped the chains back around as struggling against Ronse's grip, pushing against the hold with both his body and the jutte. He yelled, seemingly in frustration to obscure the clinking of the links as the chain attemped to whip around his foe's neck. Once it made a loop and wrapped around itself as a knot he pullet it taut, the chain turning black from the haki that it imbued. And then he pulled with all his might, tightening the noose around the larger man's neck, trying to squeeze the life out of him. Growling through gritted teeth, his eyes met those of his foe.

Surrender, this is your last chance!
Your last chance has already passed I think, Larsi spoke, his words dripping with derision.

The giant Vice Admiral Ronse jumped forward, using his free hand to grab Larsi and drive him to the ground. Getting on top of Larsi, Ronse put all of his weight down onto the smaller man. While Larsi was a stronger puncher, or even a stronger puller, this particular situation equalized the two men. Ronse's large hand immobilized most of Larsi's body, preventing him from using all of his strength - and the sheer weight of the giant man made it very difficult to get out of the grip.

Larsi, generally stronger out of the two, realized that he would not be able to muscle his way out of the situation. So instead, he went for the tactical approach. With his hand given some room, Larsi swung the chain behind and around Ronse, wrapping it around his neck. Larsi then yanked onto the chain, tightening the noose in an attempt to strangle Ronse. Ronse's eyes widened as the rough chain wrapped around his neck and he felt the pressure on his wind pipe.

Hng...!

Realizing the situation that he was in, Ronse grit his teeth. He realized that this would now become a battle of attrition. And with his breathing compromised, he had no room for error. Black Busou-shoku no Haki clad the arm that he was holding Larsi down with, and Ronse increased the pressure. Putting all of his weight, strength and Haki into it, Ronse started to press down heavier and heavier, aiming to crush Larsi's bones before Larsi could choke him out. A battle to the death - but who would outlast the other, and come out on top? A Vice Admiral's pride was on the line. A Giant's pride was on the line.

The Vice Admiral didn't relent. Instead he tried to overwhelm Larsi, laying his entire weight on top of the pirate. While before it had been hard to move, now it was hard to breathe. He felt his bones starting to bend. Beneath him the planks were still loud, and had he not been so preoccupied staying alive, he probably would have been surprised that it didn't break under the pressure. Knowing that it was a battle of who gave in first, Larsi began his countermeasures to assure his victory.

First, his entire body took on the black shine, strengthening his defenses. Although the force that was crushing down on him was still immense, he was able to endure it longer. His bones no longer felt like they were going to snap and tear him apart from the inside. Then, he moved his left arm to the side, where Hina still hung helplessly. Holding his arm a bit up and to the side, he managed to force out a few words again.

I will will -hng- kill her before -hng- you kill me. Each word took significant effort, needing to force his breath several times. All the while, he kept pulling at the chains, tightening his grip around his foe's neck. The threat to Hina's life would hopefully also be a distraction, but he spoke true. He would not go down alone.

Vice Admiral Ronse, giant in height and immense in weight, was pushing down on Larsi with all of his might. He aimed to crush Larsi's torso. The ribcage was the part that was most exposed to damage, and if Vice Admiral Ronse managed to rupture it, the broken ribs would likely cut and penetrate other parts inside Larsi's body, leading to internal damage. Ronse's neck started to bleed from the immense pressure that was being applied. His eyes turned bloodshot as he increased the pressure.

I... w-will not give i-in...!

Ronse said, putting his justice on the line. Summoning forth all of his might, Ronse pushed downward with all of his strength, giving it one final push - with enough strength to break a rib or two. However, before Ronse could deal irreversible damage to Larsi, the lack of oxygen in his muscles would suddenly bring weakness. Ronse's eyes would blur, before going blank momentarily. He was passing out. His pressure started to loosen up, and within seconds, Ronse lost his strength.

He would collapse to the ground, likely falling ontop of Larsi - though as heavy as Ronse was, this would not threaten Larsi's life. If Larsi managed to crawl out from under the large giant, the endless sea would span out in front of him.

All Larsi had to do was board the vessel, and he was a free man once again.

Larsi's chest felt ablaze with pain, even through his darkened flesh did the immense weight of the other giant feel as if it were about to cave in any moment. It felt as if his body was crying out in pain, but the only one that did was himself. His voice was hoarse, pain mixed with anger as he fought against the much larger foe.

For how long they struggled he didn't know. Time no longer seemed real to the pirate. Not since he had been imprisoned. How long had that been? Weeks? Months? Years? He didn't-

Ronse faltered, his strength vaning. For a moment Larsi felt reprieve, then the enormous body fell on top of him. While it wasn't nearly as much pressure as before, the huge body enveloped him, making it hard to breathe. He took only a moment to gather himself, then heave and push. Off the edge of the walkway the big cadaver went. Not in one throw. It took multiple pushes before the weight dragged the rest of the body over the edge, into the deep water below. The movement of the body coupled with his last push caused him to turn around, his upper body hanging over the edge.

As the body was fully swallowed by the sea it send a huge splash of water that washed over his enture body, soaking him from head to toe. It was one of the best sensations he had ever experienced. Not only was the cold a welcome contrast to the pain was still ever present, it was also proof that he was free from that hole. Sure, he had smelled the fresh air already, but it was a whole other thing to feel the saltwater on his body. He found himself laughing as he lay there, seemingly about to fall in with the man he haf just killed, the loose chain still hanging limply from his wrist into the water below. However as the water stilled he abruptly stopped laughing as he saw a face in the water. The face of an old man staring up at him.

He wiped water from his face, only to see the face in the water did the same. No, that couldnt be right! The face took on a shocked look. The face in front of him was a man with a shaggy beard and long hair, both a dim grey, with a face of skin that sagged, bones pronounced beneath the skin. No! There was no way he had been imprisoned for that long, right?

He stumbled to his feet, away from the reflection Larsi was too distracted to notice the water running through this hair, coming away dirty, as he turned towards the building he had emerged from only minutes earlier. A gaggle of prisoners stood stunned, pouring out from the doorway. Forcing his mind off of what he had seen - it had to have been his minds playing tricks - he steeled himself and spoke, his voice still hoarse, breathing heavily.
Anyone seen a set of seastone cuffs?

Moments later Hina hung from her wrists from a pole near the entrance to Impel Down. Although she was dirty and bruised, she was largrly unharmed, aside from her pride at least. Yamakaji had still not shown himsrlf, and every moment more prisoners trickled out from the building, passing them by. Hina will make sure you pay for this! She will have you back in your cell if it is the last thing she does!

Well, let's hope you live past this day.
Larsi sat crouched in front of the Vice Admiral, then leaned in to whisper to her. Because my ship can't fit all of these men, so I hope your friend I fought isn't dead, for your sake.

Hina spat at his face, but Larsi only laughed and brushed it off, standing up and walking away. As the strode down the walkway, other prisoners made way for him, either out of caution or respect, if there was a difference. He strode past the gaping hole Ronse's axe had made and to his surprise he saw the pole he had used to fight off the three Vice Admirals laying there, untouched. In a snap decision he picked it up and moved on.

There were several smaller boats parked along the pier leading out past the outer walls of Impel Down, but only one big navy ship. It seemed to have been the one that had btought Jack the Drought here earlier in the day. He almost felt sorry for the man, but brushed it off. There had only been a skeleton crew left aboard the ship, and they had quickly been overwhelmed, neither able to mount a resistance nor take off. Now thry sat bound on the pier as the former prisoners laughed and kicked them as they walked past.

Larsi pulled nudged a couple of mem next to him speaking quietly to them before moving towards the walkway onto the ship. As the stepped over the plant and onto the deck with his roght foot, the two he had spoken to untied the ship, grabbing hold of the ropes and jumped across onto the ship itself. His left foot still on the pier, Larsi pushed, sending the ship out into the water in one fluid motion, as he took his last step to freedom, firmly planted on the deck of the ship.

Below him a couple prisoners pulled the walkway in, fully closing off the ship. Already too late, those left behind started to realize what was going on, yelling and cursing. Some even leapt into the water, trying to swim after the ship. His voice mostly returned, the giant spoke a single command, sending those aboard into action.
Get rowing, we need to get out of the calm belt!

P.S. Nice touch with the face reflection in the water.

P.S. Don't open the spoiler below until you reach to reading that part.

Vice Admiral Ronse's hulking body collapsed down onto the pier with Larsi trapped underneath. Larsi had won, and the Vice Admiral had lost - the former was now a free man, and the latter would visit the depths of the sea. Summoning his strength, Larsi pushed Ronse off of him, rolling him off of the pier and into the water. The Giant's body hit the water, splashing a large amount of water onto the pier and onto Larsi. It was a sign. Larsi was once again a pirate, one with the sea, able to feel it on his skin. When Larsi looked over the edge of the pier and into the water, he saw a reflection of his own face. Surprised by the hair and the beard, Larsi had realized just how long he had spent in Impel Down. It was time to get the hell going.

The next few minutes were spent with Larsi leaving Hina behind, parting with her with some words that caused her to spit on his face. Yamakaji was still nowhere to be found, likely still fighting his way through the horde of prisoners. Larsi boarded the ship and a battalion of other escapees did so along with him. When the ship was reaching its capacity, Larsi pushed off of the pier with his leg, sending the vessel off to sea. The prisoners that were left behind were enraged, realizing that they had been used. Regardless, Larsi now had himself a ship, a part time crew, and he was out to the waters. Ordering with his booming voice, Larsi told his part time crew to get rowing. They had to get out of the calm belt.

Another cold breeze would blow past Larsi and the ship. If he had enough recollection, he would remember that cold breeze from minutes ago, when he and Ronse were struggling against one another at the peak of their battle.

And then it happened.

Suddenly, from the horizon and all the way to the pier, the entire sea as far as the eye could see, was instantly frozen. Ronse, as well as all of the prisoners that had jumped into the water, were frozen as well - though whether they were dead remained to be seen. The ship that Larsi was sailing on, came to an instant stop, frozen halfway up its body and caught in the ice. In the distance, a man and his bycicle were seen.

Yare yare... this was a long ride. 3 days and 20 frozen Sea Kings later, I'm finally here.

Hmm? What's that?

The man spoke, recalling his long journey, before noticing what was happening in the waters of Impel Down. An escape.

Jeez... not again. This place is a mess.

The man spoke, referring to the two consecutive breakouts. It was time to get this sorted. Enter...

Admiral Aokiji.

New generation? Whatever. We're still here. The Navy will not fall under my watch. Sengoku... send him to Impel Down for now. I want that place guarded.

Kong said. Sengoku nodded, though the identity of ''him'' remained unnamed.

Larsi felt a chill wash over him just as he pushed off. It was unnaturally cold, as if night had suddenly fallen, yet they still remained in the light of day. Then in an instant the sea froze over, their ship wedged in spot. Still wet from the splash before he felt frost covering him, but he shook if off, as it was only superficial. Those that had leapt into the water were not as lucky, some of them where trapped beneath the ice, others encased in it. Regardless they were likely going to die. Those that remained on the pier suddenly realized they preferred the inside of their cells as they scrambled in a mad rush back towards Impel Down itself. Several would end up pushed off the edge, falling onto the ice below.

Meanwhile Larsi himself leapt off the ship, the sound of his feet touching down on the frozen water reverberating far away. Looking at the ship and the area around it, he knew trying to dig a path for it to sail would be the worst thing he could do. Should he just run? Could he get away from this man? Perhaps, but it was unlikely. Once he reached the end of the ice, what then? The other man could just freeze the water again if he started swimming. So it was that he strode from the ship towards the sole figure that approached, chains dangling from his wrists and pole strapped to his back.

still1.png

He recognized the man soon enough, though he had been expecting it to be him since the moment the sea froze. Admiral Aokiji looked just like he had in newspapers he had read about him. Curious, maybe his mind really was playing tricks on him. He stopped a good distance away from the smaller man, taking him in. Sighing, he hoped somehow this man would be more reasonable than the zealots he had already fought today. What's an Admiral doing here? He raised his right hand and pointed at the other man. I'll fight you if you force me, but I think enough blood has been spilled here today.

The sea froze and the temperatures started to fall. This apocalyptic sight was the doing of but a single man of overwhelming power. An Admiral of the Navy, Aokiji. When Larsi jumped off of his ship and landed on the thick ice, Aokiji stopped, getting off of his bycicle. He put it to the side and then took a few steps forward, waiting for Larsi to do most of the walking. Despite Larsi's large strides, it would take a good few minutes of walking before he would reach Aokiji - after all, the initial distance between the two of them was several hundred meters. When Larsi finally reached Aokiji, Impel Down and the frozen ship would be a fair distance behind him, out of reach. Mostly out of sight, definitely too far to overhear anything. Larsi was now essentially alone with Admiral Aokiji, in the middle of a frozen wasteland. With a chain in hand, Larsi spoke, asking what an Admiral was doing here. Before Aokiji could even answer, Larsi already brought up fighting, stating that he would fight if he had to - but that enough blood had been spilled.

Aokiji sighed, finding Larsi's eagerness for violence to be a pain.

Yare yare...

I'm here to stabilize Impel Down. It's been a mess. Orders from the higher-ups...

As for the blood spilled, you are right - there has been enough. But I can't help but notice that the only blood that has been spilled... is ours.

Aokiji said, referring to the fact that the only ones to have had their blood spilled on this day, were members of the Navy - not pirates. And that it was rich of the pirate to try to leave things at just that. Whether Aokiji's words were a threat or not was hard to discern, especially with his nonchalant demeanor. Frost started to appear on Aokiji's body, parts of it turning into ice. He had a question to ask.

So, was it worth it? Spilling all of this blood. What is your purpose? Is there something you need to do?

Aokiji asked, asking for Larsi's motives.

Larsi shrugged at the accusation, knowing that there definitely was some truth to it. Maybe mostly truth. But could you blame him? Well most people probably would. But he had given them a choice, they had left him with none.

I only killed one, he said, as if only killing one person somehow was acceptable. I gave them all a choice, they could let me pass and I wouldn't harm them. When I left them, both Hina and Yamakaji were alive, though what those angry prisoners will do to them I don't know. Really, you left three small fries who couldn't handle a single prisoner in charge. You should be glad I only freed small fries for the chaos they'd cause, plus I needed a few deckhands. He gestured towards the ship he had left frozen.
So, was it worth it? Spilling all of this blood. What is your purpose? Is there something you need to do?
Was it worth it? Yes, as long as he made it out free in the end and reach those he cared for. It was worth whatever cost, more than this. None of these people mattered to Larsi. But he chose his words more carefully. As long as I reach freedom and my friends, it was worth it, to me. It will also be worth it to you I think.

Even from inside Impel Down I heard tales of the man who put me there, the man who took almost everything from me. A man I will not rest until I see dead.
He could have pretended to be angry at Blackbeard, but the rage he showed was from deep within.

Admiral Aokiji questioned Larsi and the latter answered, stating that he had left most everyone alive and that he hadn't caused too much havoc inside Impel Down. Larsi's one and only motive was to get out of there and to reunite with his nakama. However, when Admiral Aokiji questioned his purpose, something more came out. With a glare in his eyes, Larsi spoke, telling of a man that had taken everything from him. Larsi wanted his revenge. Admiral Aokiji knew what Larsi was talking about. After all, he was an Admiral. He had his intel.

Marshall D. Teach... he is the one, right?

Aokiji said, well aware of what had gone down between Larsi and Blackbeard.

He has gone on to become one of the world's biggest threats. Many people in the Navy fear what he is capable of.

Sighing, Aokiji looked up at the sky, staring at it momentarily before looking back at Larsi.

So what now...? You're going to go after him? Two pirates taking each other out doesn't sound too bad.

Aokiji said. Letting Larsi go sounded preposterous for an Admiral, but one couldn't argue Aokiji's logic. Pirates fighting among one another could be useful, too. Especially given the mess that the Navy had on its hands currently, with the state that Impel Down was in. But, did Larsi have what it takes?

How would you defeat him? I doubt you could even get away from me right now.

Larsi waited patiently for the other man to finish speaking, but couldnt help but chuckle when he was done. Sorry, but that's rich. Of course I can't run from you! He spread out his arms, gesturing in all directions. I am in your domain! If I reach the end of this wasteland you've created you can just extend it, or freeze me if I try to swim. I'm more likely to get away if I try to kill you..but that's exactly it!

He raised his fist up, holding it in front of his face. You see this? He shook his hand, the chains and cuffs clinking from the movement. This thing has no effect on me! And neither will that power of his, because he already took the power from me! I don't know how, but he took it without killing me. When I heard rumors that he was using my fruit, I waited for you to come for me, since the seastone obviously wouldn't work. Yet none of you did, you must have thought I died.

No matter. The point is that he has two powers, one which has no effect on me, another that I am more familiar with than he is. Plus, Jack the Drought informed me my friends are already powerful enough to challenge an Emperor, so what makes you think I can't do it together with them?

Admiral Aokiji questioned Larsi's ability to take down Blackbeard. But why was Aokiji even going through all of this talking? Would he actually consider something as insane as letting a prisoner go just on the off chance that he was telling the truth, and was willing to - and able to - take down another pirate? This was uncharacteristic of the Navy and of Admiral Aokiji. And yet, here he was, entertaining this conversation. Did Admiral Aokiji know something about Blackbeard that others didn't? Did Admiral Aokiji have an ulterior motive? The two were alone in the icy wasteland, with no one to hear them. Aokiji's next words would likely surprise Larsi.

You stand no chance of killing me right now. But... it doesn't matter. I have a proposal for you.

I will let you go. On one condition.

Aokiji said, reaching with his right hand into his pocket. He took out a Den Den Mushi and started to walk toward Larsi. Once in front of him, Aokiji would raise his hand and let Larsi take the Den Den Mushi.

If you find Blackbeard and manage to corner him, ring this Den Den Mushi. Do we have a deal?

An ultimatum. Would Larsi serve his purpose to the Admiral, or would he deny Aokiji's request and attempt to force his way out to open sea?

The giant tightened his fists in anticipation, focusing on his breathing and keeping it calm as the smaller man approached. He was probably correct, it was unlikely that he would be able to kill him in his current condition. Not only had he been locked up and was malnourished, he had also fought three Vice Admirals and they had caused him more trouble than he'd be proud to admit. But it was still the same. He would rather die than to end up back in his cell again.

He didn't need to worry though he realized, to his amazement, as the other man stopped before him, speaking too calmly about shat he assumed would be viewed as treason. Here in front of hundreds of witnesses. He nodded as he accepted the den den mushi into his hands, and found himself laughing again.
You know I heard you were different. But not this different. His eyes took in the small snail phone, its appearance strangely normal considering the implications it held. He then looked up, meeting the other man's eyes. You've got a deal.

Larsi took the Den Den Mushi in hand and took Aokiji's deal. He commented that he had heard Aokiji was different, but he didn't think he would be this different. Aokiji sighed, clearly not looking forward to the job that he would have for the next few hours.

*sigh* I guess I'll take it as a compliment. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go clean that place up. Don't forget our deal, Mr. Pirate.

Aokiji said, walking to the side to pick his bicycle up, before walking away. After a few minutes of walking next to his bicycle, Aokiji would arrive to the pier, never having looked back at Larsi. Aokiji would jump onto the pier, leaving his bicycle off to the side before looking around. Most of the prisoners had scurried back into Impel Down already, likely running for their lives at the sight of the Admiral. Hina was still there, however. Aokiji gave her a nod. After freeing her, he looked at her and spoke.

Vice Admiral Hina, stay here on guard duty for the next 3 hours. I will handle things inside.

Aokiji said, before walking through the front gate. As soon as Aokiji stepped into Impel Down, the coldest day of Impel Down was upon it.

An enormous cold wave burst from Aokiji, reaching a few kilometers wide. The ice that had frozen the sea surrounding Impel Down, became even thicker and stronger. An enormous and thick sheet of ice closed up the gate of Impel Down, preventing anyone from going in or out. The walls of Impel Down started to freeze. Even from outside, it was clear.

Aokiji was freezing all of Impel Down until he had it back under control. Soon, the ice age of Impel Down would be upon its prisoners. The World Governmen's most important prison... was back under full control.

Larsi watched only for a moment as the man walked off, just making sure that he didn't go back on his word, then turned himself and rushed back toward the ship. He considered for a moment to simply start breaking the ice, only to feel the temperature sink even more. No, that wouldn't work. Instead he spoke to the remaining prisoners, which it seemed Aokiji was content to let go, though tried to not speak too loudly in case he simply had forgotten. Get down here and help me!

Together with them Larsi liften the ship out of its hole in the ice, putting it atop the shiny surface. Wrapping his chains around the prow of the ship he started pulling, while the smaller prisoners aligned themself around and behind the ship. A normal ship might be damaged from this, but the seastone that coated the bottom protected the vessel well. It was probably an hour later that they reached the end of the ice sheet. It was announced by Larsi's feet breaking through, causing him to fall into the deep water, followed by the ship, though hd managed to pull himself away. Once again the feel of water signaling freedom for him. Using the chains he pulled himself on board while around him the other prisoners scurried about trying to get on. A reflection caught his eye in the water. It was him, but where he had looked grey before his hair once more shone with the silver sheen. He laughed as they set sail, heading towards Laughing Archipelago. He should have known better, of course he was just dirty.
