Larsi had never liked other giants, ever since he was a child. Not only did he find their sense of honor antiquated, it was hypocritical. Strength and size was king, and the smaller and weaker were often excluded or even outcast. As the smallest runt of his generation, it was relentless. And so now that he stood there, facing the creature he barely reached up to the knees of, it started coming back. Even the blade of the axe was far bigger than Larsi. As his foe leapt into battle, weapon raised high, he briefly contemplated using Hina as a living shield. He didn't need to give up his hostage so soon.
So instead he prepared himself, tossing the pole from his right to his left hand. Stepping slightly to the right, he waited until mere moments before impact when he whipped the pole around. Slamming his weapon into the side of the huge axe, it pushed the strike aside so that it would not crash down in the middle of the walkway, instead striking near the edge of it. At the same time he followed up with his right arm, seemingly punching in the air, only for the second chain finally unfurling from his wrist. Shooting forward like a whip, Larsi aimed to wrap it around the hilt of the axe since it was already so close, tightening it just below(if the axe was held upwards) the axe's head. Should he be successful, he would hold tight, pulling back and not allowing the other giant to pull is weapon free. For while the other giant was larger, and likely would have been stronger if they had been children together, this would no longer be the case.
