"Impressive," he murmured, his voice a blend of amusement and malevolence. "But not enough."

X's predatory eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on Magera's legs. With a quicksilver movement, he shifted his stance, his fingers dancing over his weapon with deadly precision. In the blink of an eye, a volley of bullets erupted from his firearm, each one destined to find its mark in Magera's limbs with chilling accuracy.

Speed: 81, 81-99 Massively Hypersonic Speed
If your reaction speed is one bracket above your opponent's movement/attack speed, you have no problem reacting to what they do.
DPR: level 3 + B rank bullets (2) + CoA(2) = 6. City Level
Magera's confidence soon sank as he realized the situation he had gotten himself into, as he dashed to slice his opponent he noted a very strange visual contort in the man's figure. To be quite frank and specific X's speed far surpassed Magera's own and from the very proud showcase one could clearly see how apparent this was, Magera's assault was extremely unfruitful; X had avoided him completely and now he was in a grave situation.
Speed: 61, 61-80 Hypersonic Speed
Durability: 61, 61-80: 4. City Block Level
DPR: 61-80: 4. City Block Level vs 6. City Level = DPR 2 higher than dura: super effective

Speed Comparison: 81-99 Massively Hypersonic Speed vs 61-80 Hypersonic Speed = If your reaction speed is one bracket below your opponent's movement/attack speed, you will struggle to keep up, but still see most of the movements.

Magera turned about to see where the man might've gone and right as he did he felt and immediate and sharp pain in several body parts on his body. Blood gushed from him and immediately he fell to the ground; he stabbed his sword into the Earth in an attempt to hold himself up however his arms were losing strength by simply attempting to do so...

"Wh-What?! I've been defeated? No, this can't be... I am the last line of defense for this kingdom; if I failed here then who says you can't simply murder the entire army of the King. Please, Take me... Take me and I'll give you what you wish." He pleaded, it was an act of selflessness and desperation; He had failed however he was not unable to act and so with what remained he intended to protect others. He could not bare to be the sole reason that many people had to do.

"I was foolish; to attempt to strike you down, but please hear me. This can be ended without any extensions. Let me give myself to you and you may spare my people." He continued with his head lowered in shame.

X's malevolent amusement deepened as he watched Magera's desperate plea. The champion's valiant efforts had come to a futile end, leaving him broken and defeated. The pain radiating from his wounds mirrored the anguish in his eyes.

"You see, champion," X taunted, his voice dripping with sadistic pleasure, "I was never interested in the lives of your people. I merely enjoy watching the futile struggles of those who dare to oppose me."

Despite Magera's offer to surrender himself, X showed no signs of mercy. His eyes glinted with a cruel delight, relishing the opportunity to crush the last glimmer of hope in the champion's heart.

"I appreciate your willingness to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others," X said, his tone mocking. "But know this: your sacrifice means nothing to me. Also, your king is coming with us."

"I shall claim dominion over this kingdom."

X held his chin in his hand as if in reflection. "Fear not. No one besides you and the king shall face the same fate... if they cooperate." He turned his gaze to the horizon.

Magera held onto himself with all his might, the pain from the attacks were severe and if left untreated could cost him his life; He had long calculated the repercussions of his decision to attack this adversary, he accepted the meager fate of death but he had done something far worse. He wagered the lives of the people over their ruler, his comrades would not agree with this; they would have scolded him for this foolish decision and would have brutally sentenced him to death for such a traitorous act... But could you blame the Captain for his decision?

"You're a tyrannical sadist..." He uttered, his head held low as he is forced to crouch before the Villain that X so carefully painted himself to be. "...But when it comes to protecting the people I am willing to do anything it takes, the lives of Lvneel were entrusted to me and the King was the overseer for their daily lives and how they may continue to peacefully live it. It was my own fault that I fell here, I will take you to the king on your promise not to hurt the people. I cannot reveal to you where they lie but I can lead you to the path they are to cross." He continued.

Magera made a great attempt to lift himself from the dirt, readjusting his claymore into the dirt he grabbed the handle with both palms and thrusted it deeper into the earth. He lifted himself, he just barely managed to lift himself over the sword. Groggily he balanced himself atop the sword and his injured limbs. "Follow me..."

He said, He lifted the sword from the dirt and jutted it ahead of him. Using the blade as a pseudo-cane to aid him in keeping his balance as he walked. He intents was to lead X to the destination of the march, It was a horrible Idea. A Horrible one indeed as his reputation would fall almost immediately, this he knew. This he knew he had to bare, so he walked with a head held low. His pony tail slung over his left shoulder in shame, waving and wavering as he did. He trembled in both shame and agony, he didn't know how to face his comrades; in actuality he did not know how. Any words he may have uttered might as well been used against him had they escaped X's evil...

X's voice, laced with a chilling amusement, echoed through the desolate area like a sinister melody. His eyes, glinting with malevolent pleasure, fixed upon Magera's hunched figure, tracing the arc of the champion's descent with predatory satisfaction.
"Tyrannical sadist, you say?" The words hung in the air, a mockery cloaked in silky tones. X tilted his head slightly, feigning genuine consideration of the label. "Perhaps. But you fail to grasp the grand tapestry of power I've woven in this realm."
His words declared his absolute dominion over the fates of those trapped within his web. "I am the arbiter of fate," he proclaimed, savoring each syllable. "In this twisted game, the lives of these people are but pawns, mere playthings in the grand theater I orchestrate."
The darkness in his eyes deepened, a chilling reflection of the shadows that now enshrouded the once-vibrant town. "Their hopes, dreams, their very existence—mere threads I weave and unravel at my whim. They are at my mercy, dancing to the tune of my symphony."

X eyed Magera warily with a languid grace that seemed to defy the chaos surrounding him. His predatory gaze, sharp and unrelenting, scrutinized the fallen champion's every move. The once-stalwart defender of these streets now staggered ahead in a painful display of vulnerability.
As X observed Magera, a shadow of doubt flickered across his eyes. The evil presence seemed to question the authenticity of Magera's actions—the motivations that drove the wounded champion to guide him through the desolation. The aftermath of destruction played out around them, the echoes of chaos and twisted remnants of once-standing structures forming the backdrop to this uneasy alliance.

X's skepticism cast a subtle tension over the scene, an undercurrent of doubt woven into the fabric of their grim theater.
Against this backdrop of uncertainty, X's voice sliced through the tense air. "I'll follow your lead, Champion," he declared, his tone dripping with a veiled threat. "But remember, if anything goes awry—if I sense a hint of deception or betrayal—our little arrangement will be swiftly rendered void."

Each step Magera took, a dance of uncertainty, carried the weight of X's questioning gaze. The mysterious figure hesitated momentarily, contemplating whether to follow the wounded champion further into the heart of the fallen town. The air crackled with a sense of distrust, and as the two figures moved towards the ghostly streets, X's doubt lingered like a chilling fog, adding a layer of complexity to the unfolding drama.

"If I betray you now, you're simply going to murder the innocent people of Lvneel." He replied. The weight of his decision weighed on his shoulders, there wasn't much that could have been done now; Magera was the greatest line of defense Lvneel had to offer and he was effortlessly defeated. His self sacrifice held a grand amount of importance and it was for the betterment of the Island.

Over in the distance marched the grand Army of Lvneel, with Lieutenant Hogger leading the march. The King was hidden within the array of soldiers riding along on his horse, Hogger rode up ahead to further secure their path and here he came upon an extremely damaged Captain Magera.

"Captain!" He shouted, he lead his horse; commanding it to run and meet the military powerhouse. He came upon Magera and looked at his superior with eyes filled with worry however an additionally mysterious figure had been following him. "Captain Magera, What is this? Where is the perpetrator and why are you so heavily damaged?!" Inquired Hogger, his eyes flickered between his Injured Captain and the Man so sinister that the title "X" was too light of a name to express his malice.

"Lieutenant..." Uttered Magera, shame belittled him and killed his confidence. He did not possess the strength to ask this of his subordinate but lying was no better. Magera was caught in quite the bind; He did not know how to explain the situation to his subordinate, his actions were more than traitorous it was mutiny. The Soldiers marched closer to the pair, one by one they expressed their surprise and shock at the sight of Magera bleeding and covered in injuries. "...I faced the aggressor who attacked the castle, however due to some compromises we need to protect the people. Lieutenant Hogger, we need protect the people of Lvneel by sacrificing our King."

"MUTINY!"
Shouted the Lieutenant. "The King must be protected above all else, the people of Lvneel prosper because of him. Who is he that follows you; Did he convince you to commit such a grave act of treachery?" He sternly inquired, Hogger reached for his blade and jutted it outwards at Magera and then to lastly X. "Speak, Who are you!"

As the tension in the air reached a fever pitch, Lieutenant Hogger stood poised, and his blade raised menacingly towards the enigmatic figure of Magera. Unfazed by the palpable hostility, X stepped into the fray, his demeanor as cool as a mountain glacier. His predatory eyes, gleaming with an otherworldly intensity, swept across the ranks of the soldiers, finally locking onto the armored figure leading the interrogation.

"Hold on there," X interjected, his voice a mesmerizing blend of eerie calm and suppressed power. "I'm not here to start a war. I merely seek to end this unnecessary conflict and spare the lives of innocent people. I have no desire to disrupt your peaceful existence on this island."
"My name is X,"
he continued, pausing briefly to correct himself, "or should I say, I was once a pirate. But I suppose that label still holds some truth." He gestured towards the armored figure standing silently at the group's rear, revealing him to be none other than the King of Lvneel, concealed amidst his loyal subjects.

"I need him alive," X declared, his voice carrying an undercurrent of steel. "He has incurred a significant bounty, and I intend to collect it. However, I am willing to spare the lives of the people of Lvneel if you agree to my terms."

"I promise that if you accept my deal, life on this island will continue as usual. The King and his Captain will be gone, but their absence will not disrupt your daily routines or peaceful existence. You will still be free to live as you have always done, unburdened by their presence."

X's eyes narrowed, his tone darkening as he issued a chilling ultimatum.
"Make no mistake; I am not a man of patience. Refuse to comply; your king will not be the only one to meet a swift and unforgiving end. The lives of everyone in this town hang in the balance. The clock is ticking, and with each passing moment, the specter of doom looms closer. The choice is yours. Will you accept my offer and preserve your peace, or will you risk everything in a futile attempt to defeat me?"

"A Former Pirate?" Muttered Hogger, he slightly lowered his blade as he begun to ponder. A soft uproar of Murmurs surged throughout the Horseback Army, each of their attentions snagged upon the calm yet distrustful introduction of the Figure that had appeared behind of Magera. "Was he the one who dealt in Magera?" Sounded an unknown soldier, the frequent murmurs quelled and became a strong and prominent Silence as all their Eyes fell upon Lieutenant Hogger and then to Captain Magera. The Lieutenant was at a loss of words, what he believed to be a blatant exhibition of mutiny from their Captain swiftly shifted to a display of Selflessness in his eyes however he was conflicted...

"H-How do we know we can trust his words?" Hogger hesitantly inquired reaffirming his opposition to the idea of giving up the King. He jutted his blade once again however Magera had, had enough of this opposition. He temporarily balanced himself, gathering whatever strength he could muster from his injured limbs he lifted and deflected Hogger's blade out of his face.

"We don't have a choice! The people of Lvneel are at stake, if we decide to oppose him then our venture would only bear the fruit of futility. I have faced this man and he is strong, he is far stronger than myself; even if we managed to take him ourselves there is a high probability that he will over power us in a singular moment!" Shouted Magera, he grew ever so frustrated at their opposition. He had already diminished any ounces of hope he could muster, his courage and his will to protect these people were what one would describe as fickle; He so desperately knew a grave danger approached their peaceful island, he faced it with all his might and his will broke. He was too weak to protect his people and so he bargained, He didn't care about royalty his focus was centered around the safety of Lvneel's people.

"The King must go with me, I will be your sacrifice. I will be your intermediary for secured peace; Look at me men. Look at me! I have faced X, Yes; This figure beside me was responsible for my Demise and yet you stand before him attempting to hold your ground? Foolish!"

"Magera..."
muttered a voice from within the crowd of people.

The Soldiers were stunned at Magera's outburst, Hogger was still in opposition of the idea but the words of their Captain were right. What could they do? Each of the Soldiers then began to lose hop, they're will for battle was snuffed out without prejudice, their adversary is far to strong and with the condescend of their Champion it added to this newfound hopelessness. The Horses of the Soldiers stepped aside, the pitter patter of hooves smacked the ground as a singular stallion pushed through the crowd...

"Magera, There is no need to treat your men that way. I understand the situation well; Though my life was in grave danger, I understand your sacrifice. Please, Take me." Spoke the King! He emerged from amidst the Army, the Soldiers and Hogger turned their heads in surprise at what they had just heard, how can this really be the turn of events that Lvneel shall take.

A hush fell over the assembled soldiers and Lieutenant Hogger alike as the unexpected arrival of the King sent shockwaves through their ranks. The King emerged from the crowd, his regal bearing starkly contrasting the chaos that had engulfed their once-peaceful town. His willingness to comply with the demands of the ominous figure known as X added another layer of complexity to an already fraught situation.

Observing the unfolding drama with a predatory curiosity, X couldn't conceal a glint of satisfaction. "Wise choice, Your Majesty," he remarked, his tone dripping with sinister delight. "Now, let's not waste any more time. My patience wears thin, and the lives of your people hang in the balance."

As the reluctant procession moved forward, the air thick with tension, X couldn't resist further asserting his dominance. His voice, cold and commanding, cut through the uneasy silence. "Consider this your wake-up call, people of Lvneel," he declared with an air of authority that sent shivers down the spines of those who heard it. "From this moment onward, I claim dominion over this kingdom. Your fate is now in my hands."

With a chilling certainty, X continued his proclamation, clarifying his intentions to the subdued crowd. "Fear not, for my dominion is not one of cruelty but of necessity," he stated, his words echoing through the somber streets. "Consider this a shield against the chaos that threatens to repeat in your future. I will bring order, and you will be spared the horrors that might have occurred to you."

In X's twisted logic, his dominance was not an act of tyranny but a sinister form of protection - a safeguard against the unpredictable cruelties of fate.

The Soldiers stood by, the King had communicated his motives; his will to indeed give himself. First, he cowered at the mere thought of death at the hands of the brutal attack, his champion had been defeated and his spirit badly injured from the excessive might their attacker seemed to possess. Though he was nested deep within the swarm of soldiers he heard a bit of their conversation and he heard Magera in great detail. It was a moment where the importance of the King and it's monarch were weighed in the height inequality...

"My King..." Muttered Hogger, his resolve crumbled. He opposed this course of action, It was wrong; No, He simply could not accept this. He sheathed his blade and murmured in silence. Sassily he turned his head and angrily he lead his horse back from before both X and Magera.

"If this is what it takes for my people to be safe then so be it, I do not know what will come next; Maybe I shall perish within your clutches but with that declaration of yours and our lack of resources to defeat you I will trust that you entreat my people to the peace that they worked hard to maintain." Demanded the King... "That is all I demand of you, anything else is within your grasp to command." The King reached for the royal crown which sat atop his hazel nut coloured straight hair. He lifted the crown from his head, relinquishing his status as current king and thus royalty of Lvneel; he dropped it to the Dirt.

"There is my agreeance and My Declaration. Lvneel now sits in your hands." Added the King.

"My King, forgive me..." Said Magera, he was wistful and guilty. Though this idea was insinuated by Magera before X he began to doubt whether or not they should do this. This man was a pirate afterall, there is no telling whether or not he will keep the people safe.

"You have nothing to be remorseful for Captain Magera, You did your best to defend your Kingdom. I admire your tenacity and your selflessness however it was traitorous to offer your King before he had gotten involved in the bargain. You have served me well these past few years..." He began, he turned to face the rest of his Army; one last time he must give them a fair well... "And to you as well my subjects! You have served both myself and the people far greater than I have known, protect them whilst I am gone and never forget to fight for what is right and for the people. Remember My Sacrifice and take heed in Magera's example. Be Selfless and sacrifice for the needs of others. This is good bye, as my last orders formerly as King, Be good."

The Words of the King conveyed the very giving nature he'd expected them to adopt, The Royal Army lowered their heads. The Words of their King were impactful, sincere and most of all revered. The Kindness and expectations sat upon their shoulders not as a weight but as birds preparing to spread their wings and lift them to stand tall. Magera admired the King's resolve, admired enough to lift him from his sorrows but for how long. He was still injured however he was not on the verge of death. The People of Lvneel were to be left in capable hands as a promise to the King. Both Magera and the King were ready to go, their minds were made up and they were more than willing to go without a fuss. As for the citizens, it would not be until the next day where they were expected to return will they be informed of the events that occurred.

"My King," X addressed the deposed monarch, his voice echoing with a chilling calmness that was often his signature. Now, without a crown, the king stood before the man responsible for the current turmoil, a mixture of resignation and curiosity etched on his face.

"I want you to understand," X continued, his eyes piercing into the former ruler's. "I have ensured that your kingdom suffered little to no casualties. I prioritized negotiation, and to my surprise, it yielded positive results. Rest assured, I shall keep my promise to make sure no further harm comes to your kingdom."

A faint flicker of assurance flickered in X's gaze as he addressed the king directly. "Your sacrifice for the greater good is not lost on me. Your kingdom will not endure more suffering than necessary. Consider this a transition of leadership, not a prelude to your realm's ruin. Your people will find stability under my rule, and I have no intention of bringing further chaos to Lvneel."

"Your words are comforting..." Replied the King, He momentarily abandoned his horse to help his fellow soldier move; supporting Magera as he climbs atop the Stallion. Now the positions have shifted, King or Formerly King; Cayree XII. "Where exactly are you taking us?" Inquired Magera.

The King began to spark a similar curiosity that Magera had just displayed; "Where are we going?" Pondered the king.
-
The Armies stood by in complete silence, they were saddened. The King's speech was truly inspirational and it pushed them in the direction to do great things however... Nothing hurt more than witnessing a sacrificial Betrayal. To Hogger specifically it was Magera's fault, He sacrificed the king to seemingly save his own skin. Hogger was furious but he felt as though he never truly understood the situation, the Other soldiers remained Silent in their sorrows...

"Come Men! Let's go and round up the people!" Shouted Hogger, He pulled the reigns about his stallion. The Animal's hooves loudly clopped and slapped the dirty before loudly rushing off to Gather the remaining citizen's within Lvneel. The Soldiers paused, they looked at on another in absolute confusion, atleast let them process their emotions... Horses Neighed and soon a rumbling of Stallions soon followed Hogger's lead. It was their parting from their greatest hero and their king and it's not something they wished to so easily forget.

As X guided Magera and the deposed king through the dimly lit labyrinthine streets, he couldn't ignore the emotions swirling around the duo. The weight of recent events pressed heavily upon them, and X showed a rare understanding.

"Your city has witnessed turmoil tonight," X acknowledged, momentarily shedding his usual cloak of malice. "However, what has transpired here was inevitable. The Cross Guild has placed a bounty on your heads. I am merely fulfilling their demands. If not me, someone else would have taken up the task."

His predatory gaze swept across them, reflecting a peculiar blend of sympathy and indifference. The night air hung heavy with the scent of uncertainty, and the city streets whispered with secrets yet to be unveiled.

"Your actions, intentional or unintentional, disrupted a delicate equilibrium," X explained enigmatically. "Cross Guild perceives your presence as a threat. The world beyond these familiar streets is far less forgiving than you imagine."

The revelation cast a pall over the duo. Their journey with X seemed less like a march toward salvation and more like a descent into the unknown.

As the trio faded into the veiled night, their figures swallowed by the city streets, behind them lay the remnants of a kingdom in disarray and the specter of a looming threat that now extended far beyond the familiar borders of Lvneel. The tale of Magera, the fallen champion, and the dethroned king unfolded into the shadows, a narrative whispered among the night winds, leaving the once-tranquil town to grapple with its newfound, uncertain destiny.
