Moby Dick #6 @Gambit @Ichimonji
Kallavan stood eye to eye with the massive Whitebeard pirate force. The men and women of this famed pirate gang took turns readying themselves for what would be mortal combat. Marco burst with blue flames, initiating his hyper-focused healing factor. Vista drew his blades and Ace ignited himself with the mera mera no mi. Three of the toughest fighters this crew had to offer and all of them were about to dive first towards their opponents. But not before asking Kallavan a question.
What did we do wrong?
"The fact that you have to ask it, truly shows how much of a fool you are Marco. You do not gain such notoriety by simply sailing through the waters. But enough of this, I will show you the vast difference between us." Kallavan said, taking a step forward and placing his hand on Sun's shoulder. He was going to deal with this on his own.
By this point Marco shot high up into the air, morphing into a hybrid phoenix state. True to his moniker, Marco the phoenix. But it wasn't only Marco. Ace and Vista also joined the fray channelling their powers and mere moments away from striking the navy that stood before them. However, that same navy would not let them showboat like this on their own. The moment Marco shot up high into the air Kallavan moved his right arm up and in front of him but also a left arm made of the very same flame clouds that held their ship. The two arms together stood side by side, hands and palms coated with jet-black haki. The hands joined and started to channel jagged red-black sparks at their palms, Kallavan was ready.
And so were the Whitebeard pirates.
One by one they deployed their techniques, Marco flew like a bullet with his leg outstretched. Ace threw a punch of flames forward trying to engulf everyone and Vista released a flurry of sword strikes. But before all of them would even reach Kallavan the man would utter only two words.
"Rho Aias."
From the palms of Kallavan, a transmuted form of Haki shot outwards. Three layers of visible concentrated haki in the shape of flower petals hardened through his haki and infused with the will of a king. This was Kallavan's strongest defence in his arsenal. And the Whitebeard pirates would know.
Up first was Marco who hit the first layer instantly with his right leg. The massive construct of such quality that it nearly bounced the birdman back for such was the immense force it could contain. Whether it was all of Marco's might or not the fact remained that the man hadn't even made as much as a dent in it. But he had softened the core of the technique. He could take credit for that. But if the commander would notice it was a different matter.
Up next was Ace whose flaming fist came up after Marco equally hitting the first layer of this flowery shield and met nearly the same resistance as Marco. But the key difference was that he with his attack could push through. The first layer was destroyed upon impact and the second also nearly but it held on with a sliver.
And finally, Vista arrived with his storm of slashes. Finally, they had overwhelmed the shield that stood before them. An act that took the 3 of them combined sadly remained. The last remaining layers finally cracked and Vista's slashes had reached the marine, causing smoke to erupt as his technique crumbled.
The crew and Sun looked on with worry and excitement. Was this everything? Not by a long shot. However, when the smoke cleared both parties could see an injured Kallavan to some extent. Various cuts were all over his body a decent hit, one might say. But Kallavan could only laugh in the face of this adversity. The curse of the thrill, his Viking blood was taking control more and more. It's a true crux for the otherwise stoic and in-control marine. The man would loosen his pelt tunic, toss his cloak and marine vest to the side, and potentially overboard. He cracked his knuckles as steam started to pour out of his body, the various cuts on his body also fading with each second. And in moments, the visible damage Vista had achieved was gone.
"Not bad. But if this is the best you lot can do combined. I'm afraid I've got some bad news."
Kallavan said, having successfully blocked a combined attack of their 3 veteran officers on his own merit.

Enhanced Recovery: The user can boost their body's recovery rate by elevating blood-borne oxygen and white blood cell production. This accelerates healing, allowing them to quickly return to fighting condition even after sustaining serious injuries or enduring significant stamina depletion. The user also has the ability to elevate cortisol production, effectively reducing inflammation and halting bleeding from cuts.
