A Sniper Showdown- #6
@Gambit @Guren

The Sea | Marine Warship
The battle reached a critical point on the Marine warship. Despite the clever tactics employed to cut off the pirates from their ships, some Whitebeard Commanders managed to reach the deck and push back against the Marines. Ice Witch and Atmos aimed to achieve a significant victory by neutralizing Hagiri, who was being held at bay by the marksman Curiel. However, Hagiri's quick reactions thwarted their coordinated attack. In the ensuing confusion, both Atmos and Ice Witch were left stunned as Hagiri, suspended in mid-air with guns drawn, took aim.

An audible grunt from Atmos and a scream from Ice Witch echoed through the air as they collapsed to the ground, their legs giving out. The Commanders were handicapped and in a dangerous position.

[Namur] “Atmos! Ice Bay! HOLD ON!!!!!!”- a voice cut through the air, as the ocean itself rose menacingly

The Rankyaku that Hagiri sent into the depths only met water, as Namur emerged from the deep, allowing the attack to zip past harmlessly. Amidst the confusion, powerful columns of water surged upwards, bolstered by the fishman's underwater strength and the ocean's power. One large column targeted Hagiri, aiming to slam into him and flood the deck, hardened with black haki. Simultaneously, another column aimed to engulf Ice Bay and Atmos. A third aimed for the mast.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Namur swam swiftly in the second current, aiming to grab both of his fellow commanders and retreat back into the water. They needed to regroup and call for reinforcements.

Before anyone could interrupt Namur's escape, a watermelon-head interrupted them.

[Curiel] "My brothers will not fall here! I'll hold you off!"- Curiel said, all his weapons drawn, landing a few meters from Hagiri

As the battle continued aboard the Government vessel, the bullets unleashed by Hagiri found their marks on Atmos and Ice Witch, causing them to collapse in pain. The burly warrior grunted while the icy navigator let out a piercing scream, their movements momentarily halted by the sniper's precise strikes. Meanwhile, the residue of the Rankyaku attack met its match in a powerful water column conjured by Namur, further adding to the tumultuous scene.

Observing the three columns of sea water with a keen eye, Seaman faced a critical decision. "The mast could still be repaired. This is my ship after all. But we need to capture those commanders. I need to be promoted to the ranks of CP9! This is the right timing!" With determination fueling his actions, Seaman raised his trident, invoking four dark clouds in rapid succession.

The first cloud unleashed a mighty Haki-clad lightning bolt, targeting the second column where the commanders stood. The remaining three clouds formed a triangular formation, poised to electrify anyone who dared to pass through the middle—a thunderous trap set to ensnare the enemy. Meanwhile, Hagiri, utilizing his superior awareness and flight abilities granted by scientific shoes designed by Vegapunk, deftly evaded the large water column, though the safety of the ship remained uncertain.
Thunder Lance Goddess: User creates an artificial black cloud above him. From there, he would invoke a barrage of lightning bolts about the size of a lance, hence its name.
- DPR: B, AOE, Mid paralysis, requires 71 Navigation
DPR: 81-100: 3 + B + 2 = 7. Mountain Level

Thunder Trap: Gambit creates three dark clouds in what appears to be a triangular formation. When someone passes through the middle, the clouds electrocute them.
- DPR: B, AOE, Mid paralysis, requires 71 Navigation
DPR: 81-100: 3 + B + 2 = 7. Mountain Level

Seaman, undeterred by the chaos surrounding him, employed another Navigation technique with swift precision. Pointing his trident against the water column targeting Hagiri, he unleashed a pressurized air burst resembling a whirlwind, trying to disperse the water across the battlefield. "I leave that gunner to you, Fish!" Seaman declared, his voice resolute as he entrusted Hagiri with the task. The first attempt did not work, so he has to repeat the sequence twice to drive away the water. A testament to the Whitebeard Commander's power!

"Huff. Huff. Huff! I'm almost out of gas.", he panted poking his trident against the deck.
Gust Sword: The user points the Clima-Hammer at an enemy. A small bubble forms at the tip facing the opponent which then bursts and shoots a gust of pressurized air at an enemy at high speed. It resembles a thin whirlwind.
- DPR: B, requires 71 Navigation
DPR: 81-100: 3 + B + 2 = 7. Mountain Level (He did two of these to neutralize the water column)
Drawing another gun—a sleek automatic pistol—with his rifle resting on his back, Hagiri faced Curiel without a word. With a single bullet fired, seemingly missing its mark, the sniper's Devil Fruit ability came into play, cancelling all noise around him. Activating Silence Perception and Mute Maelstrom simultaneously, Hagiri heightened his senses and dampened any sound he might produce, achieving a state of calmness.
Mute Echo: The user can project concentrated waves of silence towards their opponents with a flick/snap of his fingers affecting a certain target area or by imbuing it into his bullets to land in a certain target area, temporarily depriving them of their ability to hear anything outside that radius.
- Unranked, requires 81 Nagi-Nagi no Mi

Mute Maelstrom: A more advanced version of Silent, as this technique dampens all sound within a certain radius around them. This ability can be used passively to muffle ambient noise or actively to create a stealthy environment for sneaking past enemies.
- Unranked, requires 81 Nagi-Nagi no Mi
- Can extend from x2 up to x4 of the user's mastery in meters at will

Silence Perception: The user can perceive the presence of sound waves and vibrations in their surroundings with heightened sensitivity, allowing them to detect hidden enemies or incoming attacks even in complete darkness.
- Unranked, requires 81 Nagi-Nagi no Mi

In a blur of motion, Hagiri vanished before Curiel's eyes, utilizing Soru to move in all directions. With precision and speed, he fired his pistol ten times as he circled around Curiel in the air, each shot a testament to the sniper's formidable skill and determination in the heat of battle.
Basic Soru
11 Mastery, 21 Movement Speed.
The user's movement speed is increased by Mastery/5.
11-40 mastery: 3 turn cool down
41-80 mastery: 2 turn cool down
81-100 mastery: 1 turn cool down

A-rank Bullets, 10 x

Vista stood firm against the Admiral's devastating Kokusen attack, but the sheer force overwhelmed both his offence and defence, sending him crashing to the ground. Vengeful and determined, Ace summoned all his remaining strength and willpower, channelling it into a swirling torrent of blazing dark flames and energy aimed directly at Kallavan. The clash between Inferno's Fury and Kallavan's Boro breath shook the very air around them, but ultimately, Ace emerged victorious, at the cost of his own life force. With two commanders down, the battle raged on.

Meanwhile, Marco engaged in a fierce duel with Draco, exchanging blows that dealt further damage to the already beleaguered Moby Dick. As Izo's gunfire echoed across the decks, Jozu's Imperial Diamond attack overwhelmed Sun Wukong's Gekko Jusshigan. Amidst the chaos, Izo's bullets found their mark on the wounded bodies of the Government's top forces, adding to the carnage.

As both Kallavan and Sun Wukong unleashed their demonic and primordial auras, Marco's eyes widened in shock. Standing on the submerging deck of the Moby Dick, he summoned a large-scale blast of bluish flames, enveloping both Vista and Ace in its healing embrace. "Heal Blast," he declared, determination etched on his features.
Heal Blast: This allows Marco to summon a big blast of the Blue Flames of Resurrection, which can heal a group of people all at the same time, by engulfing their area in the Blue Flames of Resurrection. Unranked - not an offensive technique.
This will take two turns for the commanders to recover from injuries but having said that, their staminas remain depleted.

"Jozu, take the two away. I will hold the line and buy us time to recover and escape. The legacy must live on," Marco commanded, his resolve unwavering. With a swift nod, Jozu prepared to leap to where Izo was, ready to ensure the survival of their comrades and the continuation of their cause.

As Marco activated his Armour Point, encasing himself in the Blue Flames of Resurrection, he steeled himself for the battles yet to come. "Whatever happens here, someone must carry on. Until the dawn breaks, we must protect all that we hold dear," he declared, his voice echoing with determination and conviction.
Armour Point: This allows Marco to don the Blue Flames of Resurrection as full body armour without transforming any part of his body or losing any of his human physiques. This does not serve as actual armor, but rather covers his body in the Blue Flames of Resurrection completely, giving him the ability of the Phoenix Form, while keeping all of his human features. Using Heal Blast and Armour Point consecutively will consume a lot of stamina making it virtually impossible for him to re-enact the same skills during this battle.
- requires 120 in DF

I am GModding at this point now.
This form allows Marco to access a Z+ rank armour which has Durability Points of 30! :dogkek:

“Not bad, but you lot aren’t even close to what I experienced in that doomed castle.”

“Let me bestow upon you a fraction of the terrifying force I witnessed that day.”
"Heh. I don't care about the castle you're talking to, Marine boy," Marco retorted, his voice dripping with defiance and determination. "And to be fair, you've been bestowing us with a terrifying force since you stepped onto our ship."

"It's about time I show you something to remember."

With those words, Marco's eyes blazed with an intense fire as he tapped into the full extent of his power. The air crackled with energy as he unleashed his ultimate technique, a devastating attack that would leave both Sun Wukong and Kallavan reeling.

"Phoenix Beyond: Awakening!"

"Celestial Nightmare: Supernova!"

In an instant, the entire area was engulfed in a blinding explosion of bluish flames, circling 100 metres in diameter to create a dome-like structure of bluish flames, their heat and intensity unmatched by anything seen before. The shockwave rippled across the battlefield, tearing through everything in its path with unstoppable force.

Sun Wukong and Kallavan would be both caught in the inferno if they preferred NOT to escape its wrath. But knowing their ferocity and endless dismay towards the pirates and their unending resolve to fight to the death, they would stay.

And if they did, the flames would attempt to sear their flesh and singe their hair, leaving them battered and scorched as a multitude of bluish flame feathers blitzed in all directions while some bluish flames attempted to grab the opponents, preventing their escape.

"This dome is my Awakened ability," Marco declared, his voice echoing with power and authority. "This is the first time I've used it in battle after many years. We have been living in peace."

"Inside this dome, any healing abilities outside my own would be useless. Don't even try it. For it would only backfire to you."

"If you choose to break free, that dome is as sturdy as my Armour Point!"

"Here I come!"

With those words, Marco launched himself forward with unparalleled speed, his wings gleaming with a diamond-like hardness as they were enveloped in a shroud of Haki. Swirling violently, he aimed to cleave through the formidable defences of his adversaries, his determination burning brighter than ever before.

"Diamond Inferno Phoenix Barrage!"

The durability of the Dome is 30 Points
DPR: 120 + S+ + 2 = 13. Large Continent Level, AOE

The Moby Dick - #11
@Gambit @Guren

Moby Dick Ship
The pirates had made a grave mistake: they had pissed the duo off. Transformations flared through the battlefield, intensifying the battle. A duo forged in mythical tales was born. A terrible red aura surrounded Sun Wukong, born from spirit and will. His muscles ballooned, and his eyes turned white. Kaioken. The Cipher Pol agent's strength, durability, stamina, and speed had increased dramatically, enough to "rip them apart".

Marco the Phoenix intended to heal his allies. The agent intended to interfere, but a terrible attack from Marco changed the plan. By awakening his Devil Fruit, the Phoenix expelled a blast of fire. The agent was more prepared this time, his hands flying forward with defensive haki, employing the terrible strength gleaned from Kaioken. This technique, known as the "strongest guard in the world," was learned from a new friend gained on Egghead Island. Hanuman was not fuc*ing around anymore.

[Sun Wukong] "Ashigara Dokkoi!"- Hanuman stated, as a burst of will was ejected as a shield

The dome hung around them. The agent realized what it meant. In succession to the guard, the Humandrill abruptly lowered his arms, keeping his shoulders heavy. In what seemed like a trance, the agent began to sway from side to side, a mysterious purple aura emanating from his movements. This technique, a remnant from his early days as a Cipher Pol agent in Syrup Village, filled the air with the tension of impending danger.

[Sun Wukong] "I haven't used this technique since it felled Edward Weevil. It's impossible to control it completely. Once I release it, I have no say. Resisting it not something I would do..."- a demonic voice addressed the Vice-Admiral with a warning

Suddenly, and without warning, the agent vanished into a cloud of purple smoke, leaving behind an eerie sense of uncertainty on the battlefield. All around the dome, Hanuman materialized in rapid flashes, bringing a Mukarogimi down in a blast of armaments and King's Haki before disappearing once more and re-appearing again, repeatedly. With each appearance, the agent executed Weevil's Bisento Slam, delivering a relentless barrage of attacks around the dome. To an onlooker, it would seem like a young Whitebeard delivering his beastly strikes, adorned with that infamous Haoshoku Haki.

A voice filled with a King's aura echoed through the battlefield.
[Sun Wukong] EVENING BEAST: MONKEY KING!!!!!"- Hanuman's screamed, the red blur blitzing the battlefield

Sun's mastery of Life Return and his enhanced capabilities under Kaioken played a crucial role in managing the stamina drain, allowing him to sustain the incessant onslaught without a break in between. This unique ability showcased Sun's perfect control over his body through Life Return, enabling him to execute a terrifying attack of unparalleled speed and numerous strikes, a technique likely only he could perform with such precision and quantity. The use of Mukamogiri demonstrated his high power output.

The strikes were primarily aimed at the dome, with Marco potentially catching some strays. The Heat Dial imbued in the Bisento could absorb the heat and protect its wielder. Although the dome was highly durable, the sheer number of strikes would only need 2 1/2 out of the ten to shatter it. If Marco's flying attack did not miss when the agent initially disappeared, Hanuman trusted Vice-Admiral Kallavan to intervene. However, he warned Kallavan to keep his guard up - he was also in range.

The technique had a distinct effect. Hanuman transformed from Monkey Sage to Monkey King.
Kaioken: The Kaioken is a unique technique and mastered state within Life Return. By accelerating the heart rate, the user boosts blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body. This enhances the user's strength, speed, and damage output. However, at its maximum output, excessive use of high-ranking techniques risks rupturing blood vessels and harming the body. The technique boosts strength and speed by +10 for 5 turns, but then incurs a -10 penalty in those stats for the following 3 turns.
Requirements: 100 Mastery, 100 Vitality
Rank: S+ (Supplementary)

Note: Kaioken starts this turn. It was prepped last turn.
= 1/5 turns of Kaioken used

Marco DPS Dome Attack: 12. Large Continent Level
Sun DPS: 120: 5. Town Level + 4 (S) + 3 (defensive CoA) = 12. Large Continent Level
= Block successful
Ashigara Dokkoi (literally meaning "Leg-Locked Heave-Ho")
Sentomaru smashes his opponents with an open-palm using Busoshoku Haki. It does not actually need to connect to cause damage; the force of his Haki alone is enough to send his opponent flying and cause damage. This can also be used as a shield. Sentomaru calls this the "toughest guard in the world".
Rank: A / S
Requirement: 61 Strength, 61 Armaments / 81 Strength, 81 Armaments

Sun DPS: 120 5. Town Level + 2 (CoA) + 4 (S Rank) + 1 (CoC)= 12. Large Continent Level
Note: Ten attacks or so in light speed (120) succession
Shakushi: Kuro's signature technique, a maneuver combining speed and stealth for nigh-undetectable movement. The user moves at high-speeds often undetectable, attacking aimlessly and quickly. Under this technique, the user cannot direct or distinguish foes. Increases movement speed. Follows Soru guidelines.
Requirement: 41 Mastery

Bisento Slam: The wielder hoists their Bisento high above their head, channeling all their strength and momentum into a ferocious downward strike, reminiscent of a wild beast, unleashing a devastating and immensely forceful slam. Sun Wukong copied this technique from Edward Weevil in Little Garden.
Requirements: 100 Mastery, 120 Strength
Rank: S / S+

The Moby Dick - #11 @Gambit @Ichimonji

"Hah, try as you might...you lot are but mere relics"

Kallavan said beyond the curtain of smoke and flames that had now completely covered and coated the Moby Dick, the ship now under Kallavan's complete control. The clouds even raised above the ship's masts and deck but whether they'd be on time to prevent Jozu and the others from escaping remained to be seen.

Marco recognizing the threat that was developing prepared his most powerful state and was on the verge of showing his awakening. But beneath the clouds of flame, Kallavan was already undergoing a most terrifying transformation.

"Rgh...GRRRR...UAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The man roared from within, releasing all kinds of guttural noises, escaping with a scream.

From within the cloud, a shadow could be observed, jittering, like a puppet under strings, increasing twofold in size before compressing the massive increase in bulk to useable proportions. From within the cloud, Kallavan was gritting his teeth as pristine blue scales covered his entire body. Their shine was almost comparable to Jozu in his diamond form before tightening until they were as hard as titanium. However, during this transformation, Kallavan tried to maintain and control this transformation, the urge and overwhelming sensation of this mythical beast was unfathomable. Many would've yielded before him. Not even Kaido, a yonkou of these seas could tame the beast within. And yet, Kallavan was attempting the impossible.

Taming a dragon.

And yet at the end, the mark of success came to the marine, pitch dark flames coated his back and tail until they wrapped around and above his shoulders. A true mark of an awakened Zoan. His eyes shot wide open as fire exploded all around him, unleashing one terrifying and earth-moving roar.

"UAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHGH!"

Lightning shot forth all around the Moby Dick as a wave of Kings haki nearly engulfed the vast ocean they were in. It was one of the most terrifying and shocking haki any of them would've ever felt before in their life. This was the inexhaustible potential of the dragon zoan fully unleashed with all its brutal glory.

"GAUS...CANNON!" A terrifying beast roared from within the clouds. Its voice was nothing similar to the marine from before.
120: 5. Town Level +5(S+) +3(Haki) = 13. Moon Level

Following that guttural roar was a compressed shot of air and fire towards the expanding dome. The projectile the size of a small van heated up at such a rate it turned blue itself. Carrying enough force and power to shoot a straight hole within the start-up of Marco's domain expansion. Kallavan would still be swept up and contained within it but the initial expansion would not hurt him one bit. Sun himself would deal with it but in his own way, defending and showcasing his mastery over defensive haki.

The agent saw the threat of this dome and quickly sought to deal with it. Through Shakushi, Kaioken and heavy slams from his Bisento the agent saw to obliterate the dome through an incredible string of combo movements. Whether Marco would be able to deal with it or not remained to be seen but first, both he and Kallavan had to clash. With wings clad in diamond Marco aimed for Kallavan, trying to cleave him in half but from out of the clouds a gnarly beast emerged, fist clad with a tempered blue flame.

"GAUSS RIFLE!"
120: 5. Town Level +5(S+) +3(Haki) = 13. Moon Level
No winner

The two warriors clashed, the epitome of zoan vs epitome. But their might and power were equal and the force like many times before could go no further but to reject both of them. Marco would be pushed back with overwhelming recoil and the same was said for Kallavan. But the man, now in a state that was completely submerged in instinct and blood lust launched an attack as he flew backwards. Using a single spin to position himself upright. His right arm pushed forward as both Hasshoken, haki and intense fire mixed and merged before his very palm into a massive orb of bright orange fire. "BIG BANG ATTACK!"
120: 5. Town Level +4(S) +3(Haki) = 12. Large country Level

The orb flew towards Marco who most likely was still trying to pull himself together and yet here another incredible attack was heading his way. An attack that upon contact would explode with a massive plume of fire. A new type of attack for Kallavan within this transformation. For now, he could merge all of his powers into one, and this one was but a glimpse of the many new possibilities.

Eventually, Kallavan would hit the ground yet again, skidding on it for only a few meters before coming to a standstill. The creature moved from a hunged to an upright position. The entire time it growled and licked its teeth and lips.

"Now now birdie....SHOW ME MORE! I WON'T REST UNTIL YOU'RE BURNT TO A CRISP" The being shouted as yet another burst of haki erupted onto the field. Whatever hold Kallavan had over this awakening was shallow and just enough. It seemed like he would lose to it at any moment. But the dark flames of truth still held firm on his back. Whatever this was..this was a true Kakusei form.

"Let's play a little bit further, shall we?"
Blue Fire: An elevated version of the already present flames. In his awoken mode, Kallavan can switch to blue fire making it burn much hotter. But this fire goes beyond the limit of what he can handle. Even in his awakened state. As such he can only use these flames sparingly.
Requirements: 100 mastery
Destructive Potency Rank: S+ [This is both Gauss Cannon and Rifle]

Big Bang Attack:
In order to perform it, Kallavan extends his arm, opens his palm and turns his hand up at a 90 degree angle. He then condenses his hasshoken energy in his palm and launches a fire blast that proceeds to detonate in a massive explosion.
Requirements: Hybrid/Awakening Form, 91 DF, 91 Hasshoken, 100 strength
Destructive Potency Rank: S

The Sea | Marine Warship
The water rose up in desperation, unleashing three large columns that assaulted the ship simultaneously, a formidable attack characteristic of the fishman race. The Navigator attempted to intercept. The column aimed at the mast was deflected, saving the ship from destruction, but it and the second column flooded the ship. The third column of water, housing Namor, deftly moved mid-air, diverting its path to evade the lightning trap. The water column enveloped Atmos and Ice Witch, washing over the rails and into the sea. The Commanders had been saved.

Only one remained. Curiel stood behind to shield their escape.

[Curiel] "This is how it's supposed to be, boy. Mano a mano! Come at me!"- Curiel said, the water and electricity around them casting a unforgettable landscape for their battle

Thunderous booms echoed from Moby Dick as the two gunners faced off in battle. Electricity crackled and water surged around them. Curiel stared down Hagiri before taking his initial shot. However, something quickly befell him. The chaotic sounds of battle on Moby Dick and the fighting of the remaining pirates on the Marine ship fell silent. Suddenly, Curiel realized he could not rely on his senses to react, and he gritted his teeth at this grim realization.

[Curiel] "What the hell is happening?! Tch!"- Curiel shouted, before his eyes lost track of Hagiri, "If I can't figure out where you are, I'll just have to shoot everything!!!"- the man shouted with fervor
In a precarious scenario, the Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates opted to destroy everything. Knowing his allies were not in range and only enemies remained, he decided to spin, unleashing all his weapons in a combined attack. The continuous blast of the weapons seemed to merge into one large beam-like blast, circling all around him as he spun. It aimed to throttle everything in his path. Yet, even one of Curiel's high-level attacks paled in comparison. Bullets broke through and a couple hit Curiel's body, forcing him to stop spinning. This agent was far above him, but he needed to stall for more time.

As blood oozed from his body, Curiel's mind was flooded by memories of his friends and his father. With surprising energy, the man roared and got back up, performing the same technique on a larger scale, blowing his surroundings away in a last-ditch effort to fell his opponent.

Back at one of the Whitebeard ships, a large man pointed his fingers at the Marine Warship as a column of water arrived on the deck of his ship.

[Blenheim] NOW! LIGHT THEM UP!!!- the bearded man screamed, pointing at the Marine Warship

The 9th Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates gave the order. All the pirate ships, encircling the Marine Warship in an oval entrapment, fired cannonballs toward the vessel, attempting to deal major blows. The water from Namur's attack also had the added effect of flooding the cannons, theoretically making them unable to fire. The Whitebeard Pirates were playing chess, but a piece was missing. Blenheim looked at Namur, Ice Witch, and Atmos with hesitation. The bearded man thought they had all made it back.

[Blenheim] "Namur? Where the hell is Curiel?!"- the bearded man asked in confusion

[Namur] "... we don't have much time! Get on the horn! We need... COMMANDER IZO!"- Namur ordered, his eyes cast with concern

Hagiri DPS: 10. Large Country Level
Curiel DPS: 81-100: 3. Large Building Level (marksmanship) + 2 (CoA) + 3 (A Rank) = 8. Island Level

As the gunfires erupted from the two marksmen, the air crackled with tension, each shot sending reverberations through the very fabric of the universe. The marine warship trembled beneath the onslaught, its once pristine decks now scarred and battered by the relentless barrage. Bullets tore through metal, splintering wood, and shattered glass, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Amidst the chaos, a towering column of water surged forth, flooding the deck with its thunderous embrace. Waves crashed against the ship's hull, threatening to engulf it entirely. Yet, amidst the cacophony of destruction, an eerie silence descended, a deafening quiet that seemed to defy the chaos raging around it.

Unbeknownst to those caught in the vortex, Hagiri's devil fruit ability worked its sinister magic, muffling all sound within its sphere of influence. The deafening roar of gunfire became nothing more than a distant memory, lost amidst the chaos and confusion. And as the battle raged on, the world seemed to hold its breath, awaiting the inevitable clash of titans.

Hagiri successfully landed multiple shots even against the high-calibre beam-like attack from Commander Curiel. However, the three commanders for some reason, managed to escape the lightning bolts prepared by Seaman.

Two major problems occurred nonetheless, back at one of the Whitebeard ships, Commander Blenheim ordered all the pirate ships to encircle and bombard the Marine Warship in an oval entrapment, unloosing cannonballs toward it, attempting to deal major blows. The water from Namur's attack made them unable to fire back. "Shit!", Seaman said.

At the same time, when Curiel prepared a larger scale of his prior technique, Hagiri knew he needed to act fast as he certainly felt the threat that it announced! "No!"

Akin to Curiel, he also reminisced about the times he was mentored by his former crew's scientist Gairam. The teenage boy Hagiri once asked him, "What makes an explosion so powerful teacher?"

"GaiRaRaRa!", laughed Gairam. "An explosion's power is determined by several factors, but primarily it's related to the rapid release of energy. Gunpowder or any explosive material contains a large amount of potential energy stored within its chemical bonds. When triggered, this energy is rapidly converted into kinetic energy, heat, light, and more importantly─sound!

The initial explosion itself generates a shockwave, which is essentially a rapidly expanding sphere of high-pressure gas. This shockwave propagates outward from the explosion's centre, causing damage to nearby objects. The sound waves generated by the explosion are also part of this shockwave and contribute to its destructive power.

So, while the explosive material is the source of the energy, both the physical force of the explosion and the accompanying sound waves contribute to its overall power and impact.

You nullify the sound, and you mitigate the risk but not all! It's a great effort nonetheless.
"

With that in mind, Hagiri tried to concentrate using the calmness of his ability, and from the previous technique that he used to muffle all the noises across the battle ocean, he forced his right palm sidewards swiftly against the impeding dangers around him and invoked a technique he would only use for the first time, not even knowing if it would work. "Sonic Siphon", he uttered inside his head.

The invisible ability he sphered omnidirectionally, trying to coat a bubble-like appearance all over the ship against the incoming beam of concentrated energy and all the cannonballs fired at them. The latter made its way towards the ship but the damages it dealt became much less effective as they were meant to be. The marine vessel stood!
Sonic Siphon: The user can absorb sound waves directed towards them, rendering them completely silent. Or if the incoming attack is too strong, this ability can be used defensively to nullify them that rely on sounds, such as sonic blasts or shouting-based abilities.
- Mountain Level defence, AOE Mastery x2 to x4, requires 61 Nagi-Nagi no Mi
Mountain Level Durability against Island Level = loses 5 DPR
Large Building tanked by Hagiri and the cannonballs rammed the sides of the ships but not that effective

However, as the clash resolved against Curiel, Hagiri would be seen standing, panting, his red jacket torn apart, bloodied on his right temple, and bruises all over his body after he tanked the residue of the beam he tried to desolate. "Huff. Huff."

"Mano a mano, you said?", Hagiri put back the pistol on his left holster. "Here I come.", he calmly proclaimed.

Blitzing at the equally bloodied enemy, with all ten of his fingers hardened at once, he launched a deadly blow against the enemy and recalled his hardest training days under Sun Wukong.

"The secret lies in the firmness of your muscles, the timing of your attack, and the speed you put into it. Adding Haki to your physicality, you could deal serious damage to the opponent. This attack is originally called Gekko Jusshigan! And you need to master it first before unlocking the final form of Rokushiki. You can do this Hagiri. You're my student."

And it happened, the sniper summoned forth the agent in him, rushing towards Curiel as he fortified his hands with his growing Haki, turning them black. And for the first time, he roared, mimicking his master when calling his attacks, "Gekko Machine GUN!"
"Gekko Machine GUN!"
Requirements: 81 mastery, 71 strength, 61 movement speed
DPS: S
A variation of Jusshigan and Geppo. After using Geppo to get himself into the air, the user finally uses it to launch himself towards his target in a vertical drop or horizontal propulsion. The added momentum and the vulnerable target make the following Jusshigan more effective, and harder to avoid. Its key difference is that Hagiri seems like firing a machine gun a dozen times using his ten fingers in a rapid sequence.
DPR: 81-100: 3. Large Building Level + S + COA = 9. Small Country Level

After dealing with this attack, Hagiri momentarily loses his Awareness across the game. This could be a cue for someone from the opponent's side to launch a stealth attack against him even from a distance. @Ichimonji this is your cue

A Sniper Showdown- #6
@Guren @Gambit

The Sea | Marine Warship
The cannon fire lost power as it closed in on the Marine Warship. Damaged but still standing strong, the ship held. The bubble discouraged any further attack by cannon fire from the Marines. As the smoke cleared, the Marines could see the Whitebeard Pirates' ships retreating. With several commanders down, the Whitebeard Pirates had no choice but to regroup, putting their faith in one of their own.

Meanwhile, back on the ship, Curiel stared down Hagiri. The second barrage from Curiel was a last ditch effort, causing further damage to the sniper. However, Hagiri moved swiftly, passing through Curiel and dealing a perilous blow. With an audible grunt, Curiel fell to his knees, his abdomen destroyed by Hagiri's Gekko Machine Gun. The clanking of Curiel's guns hitting the deck signified his defeat. The 10th Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates fell forward, body limp. It was over.

Suddenly, a barrage of gunfire rang out, and a figure appeared between Hagiri and Curiel.

[Curiel] "C-C-C-Commander Izo...."- Curiel said with difficulty, a relieved smile on his face, before his head fell forward and into unconsciousness
A tall, beautiful man with a pale complexion emerged through the chaos, his black hair tied up in a ponytail. Draped over his shoulders was a pink and purple kimono adorned with the Whitebeard Pirates' flag on the lower portion. The crest of the Kozuki family was visible on his back as the wind gently moved his kimono. This was Izo, one of the Nine Red Scabbards of Wano.

[Izo] "Thank you for saving our comrades, Curiel. You've fought well."- the Commander said, his voice tender and true. "Rest. Leave the rest to me."- assured Izo, aura flaring

Izo turned to Hagiri, his aura and power at a whole other level compared to those Hagiri had fought before. A certain air of respect and honor surrounded the man. Commander Izo had the opportunity to strike Hagiri during that attack, which would be clear to the young sniper. However, the man had chosen not to, displaying honor reminiscent of those who followed the samurai code and revered Kozui Oden's name. The shots that Hagiri had heard earlier were fired into the sky above them with purpose.

The most formidable pirate this side of Moby Dick had arrived.

Amid the swirling mists and tumultuous waves of the open sea, the Marine Vessel stood as a bastion of order amidst chaos. Its sleek hull, decorated with the emblem of justice, cut through the water with purposeful determination, a silent sentinel guarding the world against the encroaching tide of piracy.

On the deck, Seaman stood at the helm, his weathered face set in a mask of grim determination. His eyes scanned the horizon, ever watchful for signs of danger, his hand firm upon the ship's wheel as he guided them through the treacherous waters.

Fodder marines moved about the deck with practised efficiency, their weapons at the ready, their eyes sharp and alert. They knew the stakes of their mission, and they were prepared to lay down their lives in service to their cause.

And amidst it all, Sniper Hagiri stood, his form battered and bruised from the relentless onslaught of battle. Despite the wounds he had sustained, his eyes burned with a fierce determination, and his gaze and awareness momentarily disappeared like the tight grip he once had upon his rifle.

As the tension mounted and the battle raged on, a new figure emerged onto the scene. Commander Izo, his presence commanding respect and awe, strode purposefully onto the deck, his gaze locked onto Hagiri with unwavering intensity.

"Thank you for saving our comrades, Curiel. You've fought well.," Izo's voice rang out, cutting through the chaos like a blade through the night. "Rest. Leave the rest to me."

Hagiri's voice cut through the din of battle, his words carrying a weight of curiosity and challenge as he addressed Commander Izo. His gaze held a mixture of respect and defiance, his expression a mask of determination and intrigue.

"You and I, Commander Izo," he began, his tone laced with a hint of admiration, "we share a common scent, a scent of gunpowder and steel. You had the opportunity to end me, to cut me down where I stood, yet you chose to stay your hand. Why, Izo? What game are you playing at?"

At this point, Hagiri's weapons were still kept in their respective holsters but the marines Kallavan sent with him─a couple of dozen remaining stood pointing their arms at the comely commander. "Lower your weapons."

As Marco unleashed his Celestial Nightmare: Supernova, the air crackled with intensity as searing heat waves engulfed the battlefield, painting the sky with fiery hues.

Seeing their nemesis unleash such devastation, both Kallavan and Sun Wukong braced themselves, their resolve headstrong as ever. With a thunderous roar, Kallavan's hybrid form surged forward, unleashing a compressed release of wind and fire towards the dome, his fury palpable. Alongside him, Sun Wukong summoned his newfound defensive prowess, his movements fluid yet decisive as he erected a barrier of sheer resilience. The dome took as much as it could but stood nonetheless!
Dome Dura: 30
Sun Wukong's attack: Equal to Marco
Kallavan's attack: Moon Level - Large Continent = Island Level 8 goes towards the dome
(30-8 = 22 remaining dura points from the Dome)

Unbeknownst to the two, the Dome would only heal by itself, harnessing stamina and lifeforce from the Phoenix himself. Marco gritted his teeth as he felt the strain of his exertion, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Yet, undeterred, he pressed on, his wings ablaze with determination. "Forge ahead, relentless and untamed," he growled, summoning the Diamond Inferno Phoenix Barrage. With a swift motion, he launched the attack towards the two formidable adversaries, his aim persistent. But as the barrage met its mark, a Gauss Rifle thundered to life, its deadly projectiles sending shockwaves reverberating through the battlefield, sending both the Admiral and the Emperor's Right hand reeling to the ground but quickly rose.

Marco staggered, the impact jolting him to his core, yet his resolve remained unbroken. "I am the phoenix, eternal and undying!" he declared, his voice a defiant cry amid the chaos.

Even as Sun Wukong's deadly Bisento Slam threatened to shatter everything in its wake, Marco stood firm, resolute. "Feel the flames of renewal," he murmured, summoning the protective swirl of fire. So strong, these two, he spoke inside his head as he defended himself against Big Bang Attack and stray Bisento Slam that rammed everything including his companion! "Fujiazami!", he roared, holding on against the two titans!
DPR: 120 + S + 2 = 11. Small Continent Level, AOE
Draw against Marco and Sun Wukong's Stray Bisento Slam

Yet, despite his valiant efforts, his swirling offence weakened and the remnants of the twin attacks punctured, ramming against his armour! He grunted but survived! "Is that all?"
Dura: 30 - Island Level from the 2
30 - 16 = 14

And whilst this all occurred, the dome fully recovered (at 30 points) and unleashed a relentless onslaught of Haki, flame, and shockwave, testing the limits of their endurance. Scattered across the dome. Not even Marco could escape! "Shock a Dome!"

In conjunction with this shockwave release, in a display of unparalleled resilience, Marco summoned his fingers intertwining to form the potent "Twin Bluebirds". With a primal roar, he unleashed the attack, a blazing torrent of phoenix feathers hurtling towards his adversaries with unstoppable force. As the flames danced and the battlefield raged on, Marco stood as a beacon of unwavering resolve, his spirit unbroken amidst the chaos of war. "Attacks coming from all sides and these two bluebirds! No escape yo!"

The Moby Dick - #12
@Guren @Gambit

Moby Dick Ship
In the heat of battle, each enraged strike of the Bisento resembled a young Whitebeard taking down his foes. At the end of the sequence, Sun appeared with his back figuratively to Kallavan's massive form to protect from all sides. The Humandrill's eyes widened as he saw the dome regenerate; they would have to defeat Marco to escape. The dome showed no sign of yielding; instead, it retaliated.

With impressive agility, Hanuman ducked around Kallavan, calling the Dragon to block against the dome attack that came from all sides. Sensing the intent of the follow-up attack, the man swiftly Geppoed towards it; Sun let the Admiral know he would handle this one.

[Sun Wukong] "Shigan Madara!"- Hanuman said, a shell held right within his right palm

Hanuman intercepted each feather through the barrage of Shigans, using an open palm to deflect them. The force of each blow was absorbed by the Reject Dial clutched in the agent's palm. The remaining power that managed to pass through met Hanuman's body, which was blackened with defensive haki. The feathers bounced off, leaving scratches and scars that would one day tell this tale.

With Whitebeard's Bisento clutched by his hair, it was all Hanuman now.

[Sun Wukong] "Looks like the bird wants our undivided attention! Let’s answer in kind!"- Sun stated, as the feathers bounced off his body

Suddenly, Sun used the boost in speed given by Kaioken to close the distance, swiftly wrapping around Marco's back. A loud boom echoed as Sun's right palm shot forward in a devastating punch aimed at the center of Marco's back. At the end of the punch, the Reject Dial that had absorbed the earlier blows activated, unleashing a devastating combination of haki, shockwaves, and power coalesced into a flashy beam.

This maneuver, if combined with Kallavan's attack from the front, could create a powerful combination assault, akin to making a "chicken sandwich" out of Marco “The Phoenix”.
[Sun Wukong] JET REJECT PUNCH!!!!!"- Hanuman's screamed, ugly cuts opening up on his right arm from the Reject Dial’s blowback, the agent’s muscle fibers tearing
OCC: Sorry for the (somewhat) shitty post. Trying to do this on the fly.

Marco DPS Dome Attack: 11. Small Continent Level - 3 (Reject Dial Absorbs) = 8. Island Level
Sun Dura: 120: 7. Mountain Level + 3 (defensive CoA) = 10. Large Country Level
= not very effective

Sun DPS: 120 5. Town Level + 2 (offensive CoA) + 5 (S+ Rank) = 12. Large Continent Level

Jet Reject Punch: An even more upgraded version of Gedatsu’s Jet Punch. The user activates one of the extinct Jet Dials on his elbows to throw a punch so fast that it disappears. Upon touch or will, the Reject Dial the user holds is activated, hollowing out an area. It deals extreme external damage and internal damage.
Requirement: 100 Mastery, 100 Vitality
Rank: S+
Kaioken Timer: 2/5 turns used.

A Sniper Showdown- #7
@Gambit @Guren

The Sea | Marine Warship
The Sniper had faced many adversaries during his career, but none quite like Izou. The man standing before him was not just a skilled marksman, but a true master of the art of powder. He was more than twice Hagiri's age, immersed in the world of powder and steel long before Hagiri was even born. Perhaps this showdown and Izou's words would leave a lasting impression on the young sniper. Maybe the traditions and expertise of powder and steel passed down from the masters of the trade would influence the young man. Enemy first, teacher second.

In response to Hagiri's question, the samurai master replied with a gentle smile.

[Izou] "There is no game. To shoot someone in the back is to bring dishonor to the powder."- said Izou, with an air of a true marksman, "Living in dishonor is no life at all."- the Commander finished, inheriting the values of a man who sacrificed himself for his land

The sound of guns cocked from the Marines did not faze the man or elicit even the slightest reaction. For someone whose existence revolved around powder, the smell was as familiar as the scent of home. His calm gaze scanned the Marines before settling on the young sniper. With an unsettling composure, Izou reached for Curiel at his neckline and began to speak.

[Izou] “Tell your men to lower their weapons.“- the Commander said, words shot out as if from a gun, ”You and I both know a bullet will cross their hearts before they touch that trigger.”- Izou calmly said, walking to the bow

With a thud, Curiel's body was placed against the bow of the ship. The marksman then let out a loud whistle. Hagiri could tell that Izou had signaled for a small rowboat from the retreating Whitebeard warships to come and pick up Curiel. If the Marines made a move to touch their triggers, Izou's expertise with powder would be on full display. The bodies of the men would hit the ground, their hearts pierced by bullets before their fingers could even reach the triggers. Izou was hoping the young sniper would intervene and call off the Marines.

The marksman started to walk back towards the center of the ship. With a gentle tap to his holster, two shots rang out, creating two bullet holes in the deck twenty yards apart. The symmetry and precision of the bullet holes in both position and distance were almost unimaginable.

[Izou] “Masters of powder settle their differences only one way…”- said Izou, walking behind one of the bullet holes, “Take your position, young sniper. We duel.”- said the Commander with a confident smile
Pistol dueling: a competition of skill where lives hung in the balance. In dusty tomes, legends were inscribed of powder duels fought for supremacy. No gimmicks, no powers, no gambits, no tricks. Just one bullet. One shot. Powder and steel alone. It was a lost art, remembered by only a few.

A Sniper Showdown.

Hagiri Kaname, once a member of the infamous World Pirates has claimed a seat under the wing of a strong Cipher Pol Aegis Agent, Sun Wukong aka Hanuman. Following his deadly training to master the art of the 6 Paths of Rokushiki, he managed to defeat Prince Darius of Broc Coli Island, giving freedom to its constituents and gaining an alliance with the now Queen Katarina.

Shortly afterwards, he was summoned once more to aid his mentor and another companion, none other than Vice-Admiral Kallavan, the future of the Navy ─ no one else qualifies. As the eye of the World Government Warship, he spotted the Moby Dick and not for long, the battle commenced.

As the two titans faced off the commanders of the Whitebeard Pirates, Hagiri would be forced to defend against the 2nd unit of the said crew, easily gaining victory against Commander Curiel, Icy Witch, and Atmos. But now, the worst adversary he has yet to face has finally boarded their ship.

Enter Commander Izo, the most formidable king of pistols he has ever encountered. The young sniper turned to him and they spoke, questioning the veteran's motive. There's none.

And as the infamous gunner unloosed two bullets, the pirate-turned-agent had a decision to make, a duel to death. The calmness in his heart momentarily departed, feeling an immense amount of worry and fear. Fear of dying in the hands of the best shooter and the worry that it would be his last day without even saying goodbye to the one who welcomed him to form a new life. He turned to the marine fodders, gesturing them to drop their weapons. And for the first time, Seaman, as he watched from a distance holding his trident felt the same for the kid. "He needs to pull this one off or we all die after all. I don't have much energy to fight back. Izo looks fresh and nasty."

Hagiri never had a duel in his life before, at age 10, he was already feared as one of the deadliest shooters and nobody from his crew nor anyone outside his nest would challenge him to this game called death. But for the first time, someone beyond his rank and current capacity did so.

"What would Sun do in this situation? Right now, he's still engaged in a battle against Marco. A battle to the death. And yet here I am, fearing death itself. Where did all those courage go? Is this what it means to face someone above you in every aspect of the game?"

He looked at the crew once more, their faces, fazed. He gazed at Seaman and he saw the concern on the man's face. They needed him to win. Hagiri couldn't kill because he has always been peaceful even towards his enemies. But does saving others would help him save his allies? And the more important question is, could he even win?

He closed his eyes, regaining back his calmness. The effectiveness of his devil fruit ability already dissipated the moment Izo fired those shots. In a fair distance of twenty yards, he stood. His pistol was particularly locked in the holster on his right hip. He knew what duel was all about, no tricks, no nothing.

He drew his pistol but did not fire, he dislodged all its bullets in a rapid sequence before he put his single best bullet inside the magazine. "And I respect you for that. You have a lot of honour in you. I am wondering if you're really a pirate or something else."

As he stood face to face with Izo, the weight of their impending duel hung heavy in the air. With a solemn nod, Hagiri acknowledged his opponent's honour, a rare trait in the world of piracy. "You're the realest pirate I've met, Izo," he admitted, a note of respect in his voice.

With practiced precision, Hagiri readied his pistol, his movements fluid yet deliberate. In a gesture of respect, he emptied the chamber save for a single bullet, a testament to the gravity of their encounter. "May the best shooter prevail," he declared, a flicker of determination in his eyes.

As the wind stilled and the world held its breath, the two adversaries stood poised on the brink of destiny. In that fleeting moment, amidst the chaos of battle, Hagiri found a sense of clarity, his heartbeat steady and his mind focused.

With an initial exhale, he awaited the signal to draw, knowing that in the dance of life and death, only the swiftest and most skilled would emerge victorious.

He breathed once more. For this is the type of battle in which the highest percentage of being killed is 82%! Every dueler MUST not try to even dodge the bullet. The fastest one to draw his gun gets the upper hand. The accuracy of your aim and the precision of your shot guarantees your win. But if two shooter wield the same level of feat, only god knows who falls. Hagiri was ready. And miraculously, the wind suddenly stopped, signalling the two.

A Sniper Showdown- #8
@Gambit

The Sea | Marine Warship
A Sniper Showdown. Izo smiled with amusement when the agent said he was the "realest pirate" he'd ever met. The crossdressing man responded that whether pirates, samurais, or Marines, they are all the same: forging bonds which they hold dear. The sniper said he was not defined by labels, but by the powder of his gun. Izo was, underneath all the things others placed on him, simply a marksman. That's all he wished to be remembered. A marksman with a code.

Izo smirked and began speaking to Hagiri once more.

[Izou] "When you lot attacked Pop's boat, there was only one answer. Rage consumed me."- the man said, still calmly at the start line, "But seeing your skills, young man... perhaps here is where I'll taste that honorable death I've been seeking."- the marksman shockingly said

With that statement, the marksman expert called for Seaman, the only one standing with enough vigor, to join the deck. He would be chosen as the "director" to call out the countdown. A quick explanation of the rules would suffice for Seaman to get into position. Curiel would groan awake, resting agsint the bow. The silence that hung in the air for this Sniper Showdown was one a marksman could hear miles away. The aura of expectation would make any marksman shiver.

Izo grabbed his pistol and presented it, showing it devoid of gunpowder. With his free hand, he grabbed a small bag filled with gunpowder, and took a single grain.

[Izou] “A grain of powder decides the victor. Too many grains of powder and the reckless explosion will run afoul against control. Too little, and the speed, power, and accuracy wane.“- the Commander said, as he placed grains of powder into his pistol, grain by grain, ”Wind, altutude, distance, weight, height, temperature, position, and even the light all influence how much powder to be used, down to the last grain, in an ever-changing formula.”- the master of powder declared

A master of powder. Izo spoke of such complexities in marksmanship that it would confound even Curiel. To fixate on each grain of powder against the ever-changing variables was a shocking skill. Izo calculated how many grains he would need. With his life on the line, Izo spoke of secrets of powder. As if the veteran was invigorated by the new generation, and shared his secrets as a master would an apprentice. The two savored these moments of expectation as a virgin would his first night of copulation, almost euphoric. A slow burn for a battle that would end with one bullet.

This was no longer a battle between a pirate and Cipher Pol agent. This was a duel between marksmen.

[Izou] “To live beyond a duel can only be done by the victor. A tie is a shame on the pistol. Tell, me, young man, what does the pistol tell you about the outcome of this duel?”- said Izou, insinuating pistols spoke to their wilders

Hagiri's eyes narrowed, a flicker of respect passing through them as he listened to Izo's words. The veteran's calm demeanor and mastery over his craft were undeniable, and for a moment, the young sniper felt the weight of the duel settle over him like a shroud. This was more than a battle; it was a rite of passage, a test of everything he had trained for.

With a slow, deliberate movement, Hagiri drew his own pistol, checking the chamber and feeling the familiar weight in his hand. The silence was thick, almost palpable, as Seaman took his place to oversee the countdown. The air was charged with anticipation, the kind that only true marksmen could sense—a silent, invisible force that heightened every sense, every instinct.

As Izo meticulously measured out the grains of powder, Hagiri watched with a mix of awe and resolve. The older man's meticulousness was a lesson in itself, a demonstration of the precision and control required to be a true master of the art. When Izo spoke of the variables that could affect a shot, Hagiri nodded, understanding the depth of the skill involved. This was a level of expertise that went beyond mere shooting—it was an intricate dance of physics and intuition.

Hagiri felt a chill run down his spine as Izo spoke of the pistols and the outcome of the duel. The veteran's words were laden with wisdom, and the young sniper couldn't help but feel the gravity of the situation. This wasn't just a fight for survival; it was a moment that would define their legacies.

He took a deep breath, steadying his nerves, and looked Izo in the eye. There was no fear in his gaze, only a fierce determination. "The pistol speaks of fate," Hagiri began, his voice steady and clear. "It tells of a path chosen by the wielder, a destiny forged by skill and resolve. But in this duel, it's not just the pistol that speaks—it's our hearts, our wills. This isn't just about winning or losing. It's about proving who we are, what we're made of."

He raised his pistol slightly, a gesture of acknowledgment and respect. "I understand the honor of this duel, Izo. And I won't take it lightly. But know this—I've trained under masters, faced death more times than I can count. My journey's just beginning, but I won't let it end here. The pistol tells me one thing: I will rise, no matter the outcome."

Hagiri's voice was firm, resolute. He was ready to face whatever came next, fully aware of the stakes. The duel between them was not just a test of their marksmanship but a testament to their spirits, their honor as warriors. As Seaman began the countdown, the world seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the inevitable clash that would determine their fates.

Seaman, sensing the weight of the moment, stepped forward. "Alright, gentlemen," he said, his voice steady but filled with tension. "This is a duel of honor. No tricks, no interference. Just you, your skills, and your resolve. On my mark, you will take your positions."

He looked between the two duelers, ensuring they were ready. "Ready... set..." The silence grew heavier, the air thick with anticipation. "Go!"
The duelists stood ready, each preparing to demonstrate their prowess in this defining moment.

A Sniper Showdown- #9
@Gambit

The Sea | Marine Warship
A Sniper Showdown. A duel between master marksmen. A tie is shame on the pistol. A great death. Those were the thoughts that ran in Izo's mind as each grain of gunpowder was carefully placed into his pistol. Fate had been cruel. Lord Oden and Father Whitebeard had died with great deaths, ones that ushered the new generation. Yet, the marksman was left to wander in search of same. There had not been a marksman worthy to give Izo the great death he sought.

Yet, in this conflict, Hagiri’s words of hearts and wills shaping their pistols fashioned an all too rare satisfied grin on the great Master of Powder. Izo seemed content.

[Izo] A Last Stand. I've missed too many chances for a glorious and meaningful death.- the man thought to himself, Let honor and gunpowder decide.- ran across the true marksman's mind

The countdown slowed. Words uttered in slow-motion fashioned over the tension that grew its own orchestra. The wind, the raging water, the booms from battle at Moby Dick, the soft click of their pistols, they all danced together in an orchestra that went in rhythm with the marksmen's heartbeats. This was a moment.

In the retreating rowboat, Curiel watched the scene with astonishment. The spirit of these two marksmen materialized behind them. Behind Izo, a large silhouette of an oni dressed in samurai armor rose up from Izo's pistol. Those red eyes were cloaked with a golden aura that was reminiscent of Lord Oden, bearing the infamous grin of Edward Newgate. In the mind's eye, the marksmen would only see their opponent. The ship was gone, replaced only by two mounds of rock that rose them above the rushing waters. Only their auras and pistols remained, with Seaman's voice echoing in the background.

This was a duel to make any other envious.

[Curiel] “Are you seeing this?! I've never seen anything so impressive my life. To them, it's as if nothing else exists!"- Curiel said to the equally extralled pirate who rowed the boat, "Such focus. Such pain. I wish it was me in there. This is no longer a duel between two men. This is the stuff legends are made of...!”- the Whitebeard Commander said in awe

And it began!

The sea roared with the tumultuous waves crashing against the Marine warship, their rhythmic pounding a stark contrast to the stillness that had settled over the deck. The sky, once a tumult of dark clouds and flashing lightning, was now a calm expanse, the wind holding its breath in anticipation. The clash of titans had reached a profound silence, a heavy pause before the storm of destiny.

Seaman's voice cut through the tension, his declaration hanging in the air like a promise of imminent conflict. "Go!" The single word ignited the moment, setting the stage for an iconic duel that would echo through history.

In slow motion, the world seemed to narrow to just the two figures on the deck. Izo and Hagiri, locked in a timeless stand-off, each a study in focus and determination. Izo's eyes gleamed with the cold calculation of a master marksman, his fingers dancing with practised precision as he held his pistol, each grain of powder meticulously accounted for. Across from him, Hagiri stood with a calm resolve that belied the storm raging within him.

Hagiri's movements were a symphony of discipline and skill. His hand reached for the holster with a fluid grace, the pistol sliding out with a soft metallic click that echoed in the stillness. The world seemed to hold its breath as he raised the weapon, his fingers curling around the grip with an unyielding steadiness. His eyes narrowed, focusing intently on Izo, every muscle in his body tensed and ready.

The deck beneath them was a chaotic battleground, littered with the remnants of battle—the shattered wood, the scorch marks from earlier fights, and the ever-present salt spray from the sea. Yet at this moment, all of it faded into insignificance. It was as if the universe itself had paused to witness this duel of fate.

Hagiri's heart pounded in his chest, each beat a drumroll to the impending climax. His breath was slow and deliberate, the air around him almost shimmering with the intensity of his focus. He could feel the cool metal of the pistol against his palm, the weight of it a tangible reminder of the stakes. His finger twitched ever so slightly, the final preparation before the inevitable.

Time seemed to stretch as he steadied his aim. The world around him dissolved into a blur, leaving only the sharp, clear image of Izo’s silhouette against the backdrop of the ship's deck. The distance between them was a chasm that would be bridged in a heartbeat, a mere fraction of time in the grand scheme of fate.

And then, in a heartbeat, Hagiri pulled the trigger.

The pistol discharged with a deafening roar, the bullet slicing through the air in a straight line of lethal precision. The muzzle flash was a brief, blinding flare of light, casting stark shadows across the deck. The bullet cut through the space with an almost palpable force, a streak of deadly intent aimed straight at Izo's heart.

In that fleeting instant, every detail was magnified. The bullet's trajectory was a shining arc, its shot determined and true. The air around it seemed to ripple, bending under the weight of its purpose. His expression remained resolute, his own pistol raised in a mirror of his opponent's resolve.

The two marksmen, locked in this ultimate test of skill and fate, were caught in a moment that transcended time. The outcome of their duel was written in the air between them, a testament to their prowess, their honour, and their destiny.

The world around them seemed to hold its breath as the bullet sped towards its target, a singular thread in the grand tapestry of this legendary confrontation.

A Sniper Showdown- #10

Bang.

The bullets made haste down their respective barrels, pushed to their fate by the gunpowder and fire that birthed them. One shot. One opportunity. The aura of the yokai samurai bearing the spirit of Oden and the grin of Whitebeard swung its weapon, signifying the sniper pulling his pistol from its holster and firing. A movement so quick, no one this side of the Moby Dick could follow.

Pull the curtain back. Unravel the Master of Powder at work. With equal measure in speed, observation haki, and skill, only one variable remained. Strategy. The yokai samurai’s bullet had a distinct path. Each grain of powder a calculated decision akin to moving pieces on a chess board. Check.

[Izo] Twelve grains to preserve the iron’s form in the expulsion. Twenty-two grains for the path upward. Six grains to combat the wind. Eleven grains to cut through humidity in the air. Thirty-nine grains to dull the impact to his bullet. One-hundred and two grains to stabilize the bullet’s path. Fifty-one grains to pierce his heart.- words were shouted inside Izo’s mind

Izo’s hand curved as it pulled the pistol upwards, whipping it with a twist of the wrist and firing before the hand extended. This caused the bullet to be shot lower than the norm and on an upward trajectory. Expecting the young man’s bullet to be a shot through the heart, Izo’s bullet would aim to collide with Hagiri’s own as it passed below it, the touch only a hair, less than a millimeter at its edge. At that speed, it could deviate the young man’s bullet north just enough to miss Izo’s heart by a centimeter. Meanwhile, Izo’s bullet, having been initially in an upwards trajectory, theoretically stabilized to a fully horizontal path straight to the center of Hagiri’s heart.

Only one man could walk away from this duel.

[Izo] “One grain of powder to decide our fate. Let our deaths be grand!” - Commander Izo clamored, chest swelling with expectation

@Ichimonji
I needed to research a lot to come up with the best plan as I already shot the shit lmao :feelslaserman:

As Hagiri Kaname stood on the deck, the air thick with tension, he replayed the moment in his mind. The duel had become more than just a test of marksmanship; it was a complex dance between man, weapon, and the very forces of nature. Time seemed to slow, and in the stillness, Hagiri could see every detail of his actions, every calculation that had led to this point.

His mind raced back to the instant he had drawn his pistol. He remembered the weight of the gun in his hand, the familiar feel of the trigger under his finger. In that split second, before he fired, he had accounted for every variable—the wind speed, the angle of the rays, the distance between them, the slight curvature of the Earth that could affect the bullet’s path. Every factor had been meticulously considered, and yet, he knew that there was still one element he couldn’t fully control: the interaction of the bullets.

Hagiri’s bullet blazed from his pistol at nearly 1,200 meters per second, a speed far beyond conventional weaponry, and approaching the sound barrier. This velocity, fueled by his devil fruit abilities and years of unparalleled training, set his shot apart from typical sniper rounds, placing him just beneath the elite snipers like Van Auger and Yassop. As the bullet tore through the air with a force of nature, Hagiri’s mind swiftly anticipated the legendary marksman Izo’s counter, bracing for the true battle to unfold.

Hagiri’s inner dialogue was relentless, a stream of thoughts that raced through his mind as the duel unfolded. He could see the bullets meeting in midair, the collision creating a burst of energy that sent his own shot spinning wildly. The impact had been perfectly timed, a testament to Izo’s skill, and now his bullet was being pushed upward by the Magnus effect, a phenomenon he had studied but never seen in such a perfect form. The spinning bullet, caught by the wind, began to curve upward, its trajectory shifting in ways that defied conventional wisdom.

"The Magnus effect..." Hagiri thought, recalling the physics behind it. "The spinning bullet creates a whirlpool of pressure differences. One side faces less resistance while the other side encounters more drag. This imbalance causes the bullet to curve, altering its path. But in this case, it’s more than just a curve—it’s a new arc, one that could change everything."

As he watched his bullet climb toward Izo’s head, Hagiri marvelled at the beauty of it. It was a shot that shouldn’t have been possible, and yet here it was, defying the odds. His thoughts turned to the wind, the invisible force that had played such a crucial role in this duel. He had always known that wind was a factor, but this... this was something else entirely.

Standing nearby, Seaman was also deep in thought, his mind working through the scientific principles at play. As a seasoned navigator, he had spent years studying the wind, the sea, and the forces that governed them. He knew that the wind could be both a friend and an enemy, a force that could guide a ship to safety or drive it to destruction. And now, he saw it in action, shaping the very outcome of this duel.

"The wind... it’s creating lift on Hagiri’s bullet," Seaman thought, his mind racing. "The interaction between the bullets sent it spinning, and now the wind is catching it, pushing it upward. The Magnus effect is amplifying that lift, creating a new trajectory. This isn’t just a shot—it’s a miracle of physics, a combination of speed, spin, and air pressure that’s sending that bullet right toward Izo’s head."

But even as Seaman marveled at the science behind the shot, he knew that the duel was far from over. Izo’s bullet was still in play, and it was on a deadly course toward Hagiri’s chest. The wind had less impact on Izo’s shot, thanks to his precise calculations of gunpowder and trajectory. The bullet had been fired with a slight upward curve, designed to stabilize after the collision. It was a shot meant to pierce the heart, and it was on target.

Hagiri’s thoughts returned to the present, the moment of impact looming. He could see Izo’s bullet approaching, and he knew that it would hit. The collision had deflected it slightly, but not enough to save him. The shot was coming for his chest, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

As the bullets neared their final destinations, Hagiri’s mind whirred with the final calculations. “Izo planned this. He knew the collision would alter my bullet’s path. But did he anticipate the exact angle of deviation? Did he factor in every grain of powder, every millisecond of delay?

Watching the bullets, Seaman could only see the inevitable conclusion. “The wind played a part, but it’s Izo’s mastery of the pistol that’s guiding this outcome. He used just the right amount of gunpowder, calculated every variable down to the last grain. The wind gave Hagiri’s bullet a new path, but it’s Izo’s shot that’s the true masterpiece—a shot designed to kill, no matter what.

As Hagiri’s bullet arced toward Izo’s head, his own thoughts turned to the final seconds. The wind, the spin, the trajectory—it had all come together in a way that no one could have predicted. But as he felt Izo’s bullet strike his chest, the impact driving him backward, he understood that this duel had been decided not just by skill, but by forces beyond their control.

Izo was no ordinary foe. He was a master, a legend born from countless battles and trials, with a connection to the aura of the greats that stood behind him—Oden, Whitebeard, and the countless others who had shaped his path. Their spectral presence loomed large as if the weight of history itself bore down on this fateful duel.

Hagiri fell to his knees, the world spinning as pain surged through his body. His thoughts raced, reflecting on the duel’s complexity. "I’m nothing more than a remnant of the World Pirates and a mere shadow of Master Sun Wukong. A wannabe agent trying to make things right, and in the end, just—" but the thought dissolved as the reality set in: the bullet had missed his heart by mere centimeters, a close call that left him reeling but alive.

As Hagiri grappled with the aftermath, his mind buzzed with the scientific precision that had shaped the duel. It had been a contest of physics as much as skill, and he grasped the depth of Izo’s brilliance.

Seaman, watching the duel’s conclusion, marvelled, “The wind, the bullet, the Magnus effect—every detail played its part. Ultimately, it was Izo’s mastery of these elements that decided this battle. Hagiri, you fought with everything you had, but this was a clash of legends, determined by the very forces of nature.

With Seaman’s words echoing in his mind, Hagiri’s consciousness faded, the duel’s outcome etched not only in skill but in the intricate dance of science and fate.

Only one man would walk away from this duel.

Take a breath. Before it escapes, the duel would be over. A trial of skill, speed, strategy, mastery, and fate. The bullets collided in mid-air. Izo's bullet stabilized to a horizontal path. Hagiri's bullet ascended in an unexpected turn of events. The Master of Powder's eyes widened slowly. The view slowed down, showing Hagiri's bullet beginning to pierce Izo's forehead. Before the iron fully penetrated the skull, a pail would veil over the camera.

The camera shimmered to shed the view of the tumultuous ocean. The clouds parted to show Mount Fuji, the highest mountain of the Land of Wano. On its peak, a pool water glistened in the bright sunlight. A natural spring hugged the top of Wano, a symbol of gaiety. The steam that rose from the pool water created a beautiful sight to behold.

The pitch of a Japanese flute gently bounced off the large stones that made up the natural spring. Izo sat in the waters of the small spring, his muscles and ripped chest hung above the waters and rested against the stone. In front of Izo was a tall muscular man in underwear. He had long, wild hair of black color that was notably gathered into a large, flat, circular plane at the top, and also included a prominent widow's peak and triangular sideburns. His hairy legs and clogs were plopped into the water. The true Shogun.

[Kozuki Oden] "What happened next? You accounted for every variable. How did this Magnus person curve the kid's bullet upwards?" - Lord Oden asked, dumbfounded by the explanation of physics he recieved
[Izo] "Hehehe. Magnus is not a person, Lord Oden. It's a scientific phenomenon."- laughed Izo, dumbing down the concept as if he was speaking to a child
[Izo] "There was one variable I did not predict accurately. The speed of the young man's bullet defied my expectations and allowed the Magnus Effect to take effect. The bullet's acceleration tilted the formula. That was my error."- admitted the Scabbard

Commander Izo filled his and Oden's cup with sake. The Master of Powder brought the cup back and downed it. As he lowered his head, a nasty scar could be seen in the center of his forehead. Yet, Izo smiled wide as he relived the battle that reunited him with his Lord. Oden showed a confused face, all these scientific phenomenons and explanations eluding him. Comically, the samurai nodded as if he understood, much to Izo's jest.

[Kozuki Oden] "What about the kid? I've never known you to miss your mark. Did the kid live?" - Lord Oden asked, filling their sake cups anew

[Izo] “Beats me."- Izo answered with a shrug, "There was just enough powder to pierce his heart even after colliding with his bullet. However, the unexpected speed of his bullet would have slowed my own."- said Izo, tweaking the formula of powder with the now known speed of Hagiri's bullet
[Izo] "The bullet may not have enough power to pierce his heart after all."- the Master of Powder said, curling an ever rare smile
[Kozuki Oden] "You sound like you're happy about that, Izo."- Oden laughed, seeing a rare cathartic conclusion to his vassal's turmoil
The camera shimmered back to the Marine ship, showing the bullet now piercing Izo's skull. With a powerful push, the Commander's body fell backward with a loud thud. A shrilling desperate shout echoed through the waters as Curiel called out his fellow Commander's name. However, the retreating vessel was soon lost to the mist. Izo's eyes were wide open in apparent shock. Yet, that grin was hard to uncurl. Tension filled moments passed as fate watched the Commander.

Suddenly, the man's chest rose with a breath. The Commander would stay death to see what became of his student-rival; his words echoed within Izo.

My journey's just beginning, but I won't let it end here. The pistol tells me one thing: I will rise, no matter the outcome.
