So Oden was a savage playboy with his own "unique" code of morals & charms. I like him. Sanji can learn a thing or two from him.


Kyoshiro "killed" Komurasaki who turned out to be Kozuki Hiyori, which is also cunning if he indeed works with Hiyori.
Not surprised if he's at least related to Denjiro or he is actually Denjiro.

If Denjiro takes off his glasses, his hair grows longer and gets tied to the front, he can effortlessly look like a different person (Kyoshiro).

The Luffy and Oden parallels are REAL. We've been given content in Wano that makes us think Oden was like a Luffy that failed to achieve his dream and his nakama were left behind to carry out his will. That seems to even further pushed by Oden being cast to the quarry and doing so well there that he ended up taking over the quarry, like Luffy was jailed in Udon and took over it.

Page 12 first big panel after the transistion. When I saw the laughing and open mouth from Denjirou I had to instantly think about Scopper.

It all depends how old Denjiro and Oden are in this chapter.

Kinemon addressed Denjiro as "brat", which implies Denjiro is younger than Kinemon.
Kinemon is currently 36 because of time travel (he should be 56 now).
So Denjiro should be in his early 50s or late 40s by now.

It is quite possible that Scopper Gaban is around that age.
In flashbacks, Scopper was seen as being older than Shanks & Buggy (who are both 39 now), but younger than Roger.

We don't know what happened to Scopper after Roger's execution, so it is possible he went back to his hometown (Wano).
But then again, we still have the Witching Hour Boy. This guy can either be Denjiro or Scopper...or I guess both.

He does resemble Koushiro, except Koushiro wears transparent glasses.
That sword Denjiro was carrying also looks a bit like Wado Ichimonji. Could be just a coincidence though.

You're right but I don't think Koshiro is Denjiro tho... Koshiro was born in East Blue so unless Oda reboots the Vivre Card Koshiro can't be Denjiro.

I still think Denjiro is Kyoshiro.

I don't believe than Denjiro is either Koushiro or Scopper Gaban, I can definitely see the resemblance but to me it doesn't add up for both scenario.

Spoiler: Scopper Gaban

Pros:

• Same hair color, and shape, wears similar circle shade.

Cons:

• To me personally, Scopper is implied to be one of the senior members of Roger Pirates, if Denjiro joined along Oden, this would put him in junior/apprentice level and only sailed with Roger for the very last 1-2 years portion of Roger's voyage. Neko and Inu also did not mentioned Denjiro joining their voyage at all. While this is inconclusive, but this is also the strongest evidence against Denjiro=Scopper for me.
• Denjiro has no reason to change his name to Scopper Gaban while on board Roger's ship, Oden did not.
• Denjiro carries around a katana (possibly Wado Ichimonji), Scopper was seen using an axe.
• Again personally, Scopper has 0 Wano vibes/design aspect about him.

Spoiler: Koushiro

Pros:

• Same hair color, wears glasses, ties to Wano, owns Wado Ichimonji (Possibly, connection to Shimotsuki Family and Village)

Cons:

• Koushiro is shown in Strong World Chapter 0, when Kuina is born, +- 22 years ago to be already in East Blue, also it is implied that at that moment he already owned the dojo for quite some time. Denjiro supposedly fought Kaido side by side with Shutenmaru 20 years ago.

This point alone pretty much disproves Denjiro=Koushiro theory, as it is not realistic for him to travel back and forth between Wano-East Blue. I also don't think people in Shimotsuki Village can get up-to-date news or even any news about what is happening in Wano. Denjiro's silhouette also doesn't match Koushiro's in that 22-20 years ago time period.

The only mystery is if that sword is indeed Wado Ichimonji, Oda will have some explaining to do.

Denjiro can still be Koushiro but it would probably require Oda to explain or even retcon some stuffs. But it would mean that Denjiro fled Wano and stayed in Shimotsuki Village all this while, which is a very weak move.

Very glad we got to see Oden and Denjiro's face reveal this chapter, looking forward to information on Ushimaru Shimotsuki and O-Kiku/Izo.
