Maybe because of his DF powers. It is implied that Kaidous skin is almost unbreakable due to his Zoan power same can be applied in Orochis Zoan.

But since Oden managed to give Kaidou a scar and Orochi didn't have one it is also possible that Kaidou came in time

Since Oden is already back in Wano we can expect the flashback ends soon.

But even if the end of 968 looks like we are super close to the end and only Oden vs Kaidou is missing its actually wrong.

I mean it is still 25 years ago and Oden will not die soon still 5 years to go. I was actually expecting that Kaidou would come later, but suprisingly(at least for me) this is not the case.

Also.one should not forget in 2 years Moriah will appear!

Looking at the chapter it strengthens my feeling about Kiku being the traitor.
How he reacted to Oden was for me like Kiku said "I am not interisted in what you habe to say about my brother".
It also seems like there was already a traitor back then this would explain how Orochi know about the attack before it happen and prepare the ambush on Odens castle.

So the traitor really have to be one of the scabbards.

Raizo, Kinemon and Kanjuro know the way, Kiku should know too. And Kiku was left behind in Wano able to tell Orochi about everything.

I don't remember luffy to have such figurative or symbolic lines. Maybe this statement is literal. And if that's the case, maybe Zoans in RP should have more boost in durability.
