Orochi is a like a Oden copycat. So the boiling Orochi did, I wonder if it was a daily thing. It would remind me of Alexander Fu Sheng. And his character in this movie called men of the monastery (That he plays the same character in multiple variations). They said his character was taking special baths from a child which made his skin as strong as iron and impervious to wounding. But he only had one weak point in his groin/rectum (depending on the film).
I wonder if the macho idea of Oden comes from him. Hence the being able to boil in a pot. And I wonder if, like it was stated above, if Orochi will get that tough skin to make him harder to beat. Where before he needed the barrier and now his body toughness is his barrier.
As for Toki, she covers Oden's mouth because he's oblivious to the fact that Toki is content living her life with Oden. If she is dead, I wonder who took the time devil fruit. That may explain the traitor. Who gets the plans, goes a couple moments into the future and warns Orochi. Of course that seems pointless.
Anyway, the Kyoshiro thing is interesting. It clearly had to be someone we had introduced already. At this point. Well not really. So Denjiro was giving to the poor. Ashura was building ships. Kiku was rounding up samurai. Kanjuro and Kin'emon were out at sea. Dog and Cat on Zou. Kawamatsu in prison (the only one Kaido had true access to). Kawamatsu is really the only one who really has no ties to Wano whatsover. The humans were all born in Wano. The Minks from Zou, with connections. Although the fishmen may be connected to the Kozuki and Ancient Kingdom. But Kawamatsu was recovering the weapons, I believe. Raizo was on Zou but now we get this flashback of Oden telling them all to meet up on Zou. So that seems to hint about Raizo being on Zou. Cat and Dog captured, maybe a vivre card was made through one of them.. Willfully or not. Bepo has a vivre card to Zou, I believe. And apparently luffy probably didn't recognize a vivre card was made for him while he was out cold. May have been Kaido's idea to let them go and lead them to the other scabbards. Because how exactly did they escape Kaido?
Kyoshiro now, he said that he'd love to cross blades with the scabbards. That may hint that he has grudges towards them (him not knowing they got sent 20 years into the future and thinking it was just abandonment) although he is loyal to Hiyori or that he is just playing his role. I did say that Kyoshiro never mentioned he was the shogun's guard dog, but that depends on who he sees as the true Shogun (Oden). And seeing as he was guarding Hiyori, maybe he sees her or Oden through her. Anyone who disrespects the Shogun (Oden or Hiyori) must be dealt with. So he seems like he's speaking for Orochi but is actually speaking against him. He is now in charge of the Flower Capital now. So in Hiyori's fake death, she gave Kyoshiro the message. He took time to decipher it. Then he used it to his advantage and gave Orochi the information. To take advantage of Orochi destroying the bridges and giving Orochi a false sense of security. Plus if Oden message of pirates coming to Wano in 20 years got to the scabbards, then Kyoshiro may have tested them. By sending Drake and Page One. To determine how strong these intruders were and see if they were the people Oden spoke of. Because as they said, why send Drake and Page One to take out a shopkeeper. Then the cross blades with the scabbards, could mean that he intends to test their strength or play along to the very end. Meaning seem like he's against them during battle and then at the last moment catch Kaido's men off guard as they did to Oden. So anyway, he tested Sanji. Then he stepped in front of Zoro's sword slash to test Zoro. But to also say that revenge against Orochi's is there's and to not ruin the main plan. Possibly through those two incidents, testing Sanji and Zoro he was forming a plan.
Oda's leaving us in suspense though. We don't know when the flashback ends. We thought it ended last chapter with the 20 years into the future plan. Then we see mention of Today, as if the flashback ends now. Then we'll probably get a Kaido flashback too.
One oddity is that I noticed that for some reason, Toki gets knocked to the ground in black robes. Then all of a sudden is in white robes. Which is weird. This prior to the cloak she has on leaving the castle.
Damn. I usually use Oro Jackson, where there's like 50 pages of comments on a chapter. It's odd to me to only see three pages now.
