Orc Pirates #1- @The Fool
Narration

Kurobe=This colour
Hakurou=This colour

Everyone who had seen the ship recently could see they was doing their duties and had been on a few raids, but the demeanor of every member of the Orc Pirates had been very subdued and it was easy to see they had lost most of their spirit. Even in battle they had lost their intensity and become much more mild, as if they were a different crew.

The truth was they now kind of were a different crew. Their leader Benimaru was arrested along with another strong member, Shion. They had tried to find out where the two of them had been taken but no local Marine bases or places close to it had seen anyone matching his description. This meant he and Shion had probably been taken to Impel Down, which had had a few breakouts in the last few years but was now more secure than ever so there was basically no chance of them breaking in, let alone getting out with two people. Beyond just being the captain, Benimaru had been their strongest and most respected member, to the point most of the Orcs were only on the crew because of him. His loss was felt by everyone and the very absence of his loud voice seemed to echo around the ship.

However there was a loss that was felt even more than Benimaru, his younger sister Shuna. If her brother was the heart of the Orc Pirates, she was the soul. She made everyone feel welcome and a simple smile of hers could have brightened a room. During the attack that had half-broken them, Shuna had been killed. Cut in half at the midsection, the second-in-command had immediately surrounded as soon as he was able to process it. There had already been too many deaths and their captain was obviously no match for the strongest Marine, losing an arm around the same time as his sister died. Benimaru and Shion basically let themselves be arrested so the others would be safe, which was why the rest of the Orc Pirates were free despite also having put in cuffs at the time.

The remaining members had gone to a special place to bury Shuna and stay quiet. Although most wanted revenge and rage filled their hearts, by the time they finished mourning and laid low for a while it had mostly dissipated. Starting raiding and other activities again, the crew had changed and had lost most of their spirit. Souei tried his best but he wasn't Benimaru and everyone knew it, but he was still the best man for the job and tried to keep his head high.

However things had changed in the last few weeks as they had found something that might help them not only become stronger but might even help them get their captain and Shion back, a Devil Fruit. Regaining a lot of their lost spirit, the deck was now like a very different crew as the Orcs were roaring as they sailed through the intense storm. Below the hold, three people sat around debating as they had been since they acquired it; trying to decide should Souei or someone else eat it, should they sell it or should they keep it for Benimaru/Shion. In the noise and lashing of the storm and voices louder than thunder, panic started to take over as Orcs were yanked off the ship and disappeared in-front of people's very eyes.

[ORC PIRATES]
Post 2 - @Ziosa

The storm had become the perfect curtain. Gehrman Sparrow stood upon the deck of a modest vessel cutting through violent waves, his long coat snapping in the wind as rain rolled from the brim of his hat. Through the darkness, the colossal Orc ship emerged and disappeared between towering walls of water, its thousands of occupants roaring with renewed vigour. That change had not escaped him. For weeks, the Orc Pirates had sailed like a crew carrying a corpse upon their backs. Their raids had continued and their duties had been performed, yet something fundamental had been missing. Their captain was gone. Another of their strongest had vanished with him. Their second in command had been killed. The crew had survived, but survival was not the same as living.

Gehrman watched silently, dark eyes narrowing as lightning briefly revealed the vessel ahead. So that was the reason. Their sudden recovery had not come from courage alone. Something had given them hope. Hope was troublesome. Unlike fear, it made people unpredictable. His fingers moved beneath his coat, producing a single tarot card, which he turned once between his fingers before slipping it away. The rumours had been remarkably consistent. The Orc Pirates had acquired something valuable enough to attract attention from the Underworld, something they believed could change their fortunes. A Devil Fruit. Perhaps merely a weapon in the hands of desperate pirates, perhaps something considerably more troublesome. Either way, the details did not matter. What mattered was that they had begun to believe the object could restore what they had lost.

Gehrman smiled faintly.

“People become careless when they finally have something to hope for.”

His voice was quiet, almost swallowed by the thunder, but there was no uncertainty behind it. This was precisely why he had chosen Gehrman Sparrow rather than Klein Moretti. Klein would have considered their circumstances, sympathised with their losses, and perhaps wondered whether taking their treasure was cruel. Gehrman had no such luxury. He could acknowledge their suffering without allowing it to interfere with his objective. That was the purpose of the persona. Klein Moretti could remain human while Gehrman Sparrow dealt with the monsters.

He slipped the tarot card back into his coat and stepped towards the edge of the deck, the monstrous vessel now looming through the rain. His expression hardened, the mildness of Klein Moretti disappearing completely beneath the cold composure of Gehrman Sparrow. There was no anger in his eyes, nor any hatred towards the Orcs. They were simply obstacles standing between him and what he had come to retrieve.

Gehrman adjusted his gloves.

“Let us see what you have been protecting.”

Then he moved.

Orc Pirates #2- @The Fool
The three Orcs that were now in charge of the crew sat around the table and discussed the Devil Fruit. The debate had been going around in circles for weeks and most arguments for each option had been mentioned multiple times. All of them were quite fed up and frustrated, but didn't actually want to stop discussing as they still weren't sure what was the best choice.

If someone were to individually ask each one what they wanted to do, they would all say to give it to Souei as the main goal was getting their imprisoned members back and he was easily the most skilled so would make the best use of it. However they had to also think long term, just making one member stronger wouldn't automatically make them able to get into Impel Down and the main reason they were in this scenario in the first place was because the crew relied too much on their strongest and were unable to do anything if there were multiple powerful enemies. As such, giving it to one of the weaker members was also a very good option but wouldn't help them with their current mission. These sort-of conflicting ideas were the main reason the debate had been going on so long, they only had one shot to get them back as if it went wrong more people would die or be imprisoned.

The table was rectangular and not that long, with a chair each end and two each side. No one sat on the larger and more ornate one at the head as that was Benimaru's, the one to it's right was also empty as that was where Shion always sat. A black sheet was draped over the seat to the one on the left of Benimaru's and the Orcs tried their best not to look at it as they talked and listened to the others. Kurobe and Hakuro were sat on opposite sides of the table, the former making their chair look small and the latter making theirs look slightly large. Souei was on the chair on the opposite end of the empty captain's but had turned it to face away from the table and would turn so only the Orc currently talking was in view, as without doing this he would be able to see all three of the empty chairs.

In front of Hakuro was an old chest, closed but all had looked at the contents enough to see it anyway. The Devil Fruit was sat on a pile of gold coins and had a round blue shape with swirls and a green stem. None of them actually knew the exact ability it will grant, but knew it was quite powerful and defensive; multiple groups had fought to the death over it before they had acquired it.

Souei internally sighs as Hakuro went back to talking about the advantages of keeping it for Benimaru or Shion. The room shakes as a large wave hits the side of the ship, the blue haired Orc barely moves however as they had long since figured out how to always keep their balance and posture on a boat even when sitting down in a storm. Despite this and knowing they won't be able to see much, their eyes drift to one of the windows. Outside, everything was black and even the flashes of lightning barely lit up the dark sea.

Above deck, the Orcs were trying to stop the mast from falling down. Some brave members of the crew were climbing the ropes and trying to tie everything while being lashed by rain & wind and trying not to fall off. Lightning was the only thing that was lighting up the deck and allowed them to see more than a few metres infront of them, the lanterns and other light sources either being swept away long ago and the few remaining being inside or so dim they weren't really helping. More and more Orcs were going below deck, having had enough of the rain/wind or making so little progress they had given up.

Nobody had yet to notice the missing members and the ship that was actually quite close to them. A small group of Orcs were near the edge of the side Gehrham was coming from but couldn't differentiate the other vessel from the dark waves despite it being nearby and the lightning making things brighter for a few seconds. All of them were shouting at eachother but the wind stole most of the words so they had to keep repeating them.
