The Alwaysmind I know likes to hold town to a high standard. He gives people shit for not posting and voting and is always complaining about inactivity. A "day 1 is always like this" post doesn't fit him.

There's no other way to start a game unless you give the cop a headstart or something (which is not appliable to every setup).

If there's no Day 1 then Day 2 is the new Day 1. We have to go through the phase where everybody is uninformed first before we can have stuff to accuse and analyse.

I think we should come up with new rule, like make games start with Night Phase but restrict certain actions, make N1 totally safe but few Roles can perform their Actions. This way we at least have a small chance of finding something to talk about D1

Or maybe make N1 kills a delayed kill, like the target is informed he will die next NP, i dunno just find a solution because imo both N1 deaths & D1 without info are bad

That can be fixed if you lot start non-troll posting and maybe lynch the people who refuse to contribute Day 1.

The quality of Day 1 is as good as you make it.

There are three methods a Scum can play during DP
Be inactive, accuse others, be neutral

Inactivity during D1 with no info is perfectly normal so can't suspect based on that, if they start to accuse someone it will be for something stupid most probably and anyone who tries to debate will be a suspect and the lynch will end up random at the end, and if they act neutral then there is nothing to accuse them for

Seriously, with no info, scum can only be caught if they slip or make a stupid obvious mistake and since lynch is purely based on luck & town are always the majority, we will end up killing a townie anyway especially since it's a Majority lynch, Scum can EASILY vote anyone they want

As for Meta Read, i never ever rely on that because i don't know anyone face to face in a game that is supposed to be played IRL
I can only guess & catch mistakes & pressure but that's when we have info

But if we start with N1 then at least we will have Info D1 and anything can happen during NP really, it's better chances

Most Games start with Evening Phase and it's literally the same as this D1 and the chances of catching a Scum in Evening Phase are like 5% or less, especially since most Posts will be trolling & memes

Anyway my point isn't that D1 is totally bad, of course we can have a good start and it's actually an amazing opportunity
I was just thinking about teaming-up and try to come up with a new way to start games
Something better than Risky N1s & Boring D1s, something in the middle
And i suggested restricted/limited Actions N1 as an example
