Sun would trek towards the market. He would need directions. Sure enough, the agent would approach the first one he saw. Though it was not the first one who saw him; eyes stalked each other with suspicion. The Monkey King was a versed observer of human nature; that was his very nature. He felt something was off. The question was how to uncover it?

Sun kept low to the ground as to not intimidate, first asking about the market. When he saw the Skypiean lose his composure, Sun took a step back. The monkey man reached into his bag, bringing forth a small but beautiful figurine of an eagle. The agent offered it to the man and spoke with a gentle tone.

[Sun Wukong] “In my land, the eagle represents freedom. It represents flight. Energy transferred to this figurine will help your the bad energy that plagues you fly away.”
[Sun Wukong] “Take it. A gift from your friend Sarurobi. May your troubles fly away…”

The agent spoke gently. As a mimic, he mimicked the sweetest voice and movements he ever saw. Non-threatening and gentle. Sun would give the figurine to the Skypieans and close his eyes, muttering what appeared to be a prayer. Sun smiled gently before turning to the crowd that inevitably was staring at them. With similar gentleness, he spoke.

[Sun Wukong] “My name is Sarutobi. A friend. I come in peace. Where is your market? I shall sell my wares so that they may mend your people’s spirits.”

Sun Wukong was not valuable for his combat prowess, but for his ability to mend to any situation, his ability to act and mimic. A double-agent extraordinaire. Whether his actions would gain him favor remained to be seen - but Sun’s energy was not threatening. How broken were the Skypian’s spirits? Beyond repair?

Sun’s appearance thrown the Skypiean off, and worse of all the agent reached into the bag – causing even more fear into the man. But only through the reveal of the object which Sun took out from his bag that it was an eagle statue that the Skypiean became relieved for a short moment. Sun would offer the statue to the Skypiean as a friendly gesture, given how religious the people of Skypiea are – Sun’s decision to appeal to that seems to a smart one. However, he would not be met with the same warm attitude, the reciprocation coming from the Skypiean could simply be regarded as ‘neutral’ for the lack of better word.

“I-I see. The market is simply right around the corner.”

The Skypiean would gesture towards the right once more just as the guards at the entrance did. Not taking the statue, for obvious reasons of not accepting gifts from strangers. This is especially even more important with the acts of terror throughout Angel Island, who knows whether the gift will be something dangerous or not? Even if Sun’s intentions are well, the Skypieans aren’t gullible enough to be convinced with just gifts and friendliness, not at this period of time at the very least. The man would quickly gave the Agent directions and left quickly, aiming to get back to the safety of his home.

As long as Sun quite literally takes the corner, he would find himself at the market hub of Skypiea.

The man would point to the market. Not the reaction Sun was hoping for, but he gained the knowledge nonetheless. It was quickly becoming clear these people were on edge. The agent had been sent because of an event that shook the Sky. Was it the culprit? And more importantly, what was it? Sun nodded and headed to the direction of the market, leaving the figure behind.

The agent turned the corner and took view of the market hub of Skypiea. Sun marveled at the sight, at the cloudy roads in and out of the streets, and the streets paved with sky.

Sun would take a stroll, keeping to himself, but keeping his ears open for any information he may gleam in the market. Any hint as to the state of the Sky. His watchful eye on the shops, Sun would take a small parchment and open it, trying to identify the “dials” with the crude drawing he had.

[Sun Wukong] “These be the ”deals”, huh?”
Once more comically misspelling the word, the agent approached the first vendor. He tried to approach non-threataning, head down, and observed the shells. He’s soon ask the shopkeeper.

[Sun Wukong] “Any “duals“ for sale?”

The agent comically said, again mistaking them, gesturing to the crude drawing of the dials his parchment had.

Sun was given the directions to the market, and it seems that Sun’s gestures weren’t too well received by the Skypieans, but it wasn’t the worse kind of reaction he could have received. Despite that, he made his way to the market. From the market, it was a large hub of trading and transactions but does not have many people going around the market, yet it is still somewhat busy enough. Sun would walk around the market, now true to his objective he would look for dials. The agent would keep things straight to the point and went ahead to ask the very first vendor he could see. The vendor however seems to be busy thus did not pay attention to the incoming customer till the voice came.

Turning around, it turns out to be a female shopkeeper – it is Conis. As luck would favour Sun, he hit right on the mark on his first try. Hearing the words from Sun, Conis was confused for a moment but immediately responded to Sun.

“Dials you mean. If that’s the case I do have dials for sale. But I do not recommend getting too many flame dials, everything is tense now and seeing someone with a lot of dials is sure to set people off.”

Conis warns Sun, it seems that carrying too much dials in public would likely cause scrutiny amongst the Skypieans. But of course, Sun is free to buy whatever he wishes, though he would likely need to exercise caution for whatever he decided to do, eyes are all over everywhere in the market.

The agent would find the first vendor. The name was not correct, but it was understood. The vendor largely ignored him, leading Sun to frown, again picking up the subtleties of the land. A land stuck in a perilous mood. Thankfully, a woman’s voice piped from behind him. Sun turned, looking at the beautiful winged woman with a warm smile, at least compared to the others.

Words came as a warning, too many dials would arise suspicion. She confirmed what Sun already surmised, there was tension in the air.

[Sun Wukong] “Dials they are called, then? Thank you, kind shopkeeper. In my land they call me Sun. What do they call you?”
Sun began making conversation, skirting the warning. He wanted to make sure not to come across hostile. This Skypieans was the only one who addressed him with just more than their suspicious eyes. The agent saw an opportunity. As for the dials, he opened his parchment and cross-referenced the ones he was told.

[Sun Wukong] “Ah! These be the ones! I’ll take them! I have the beri, I promise! I also have some native objects from my land! Here!”

The agent pointed to the Flame Dial [150m], Flash Dial [100m], Flavor Dial [50m], Heat Dial [100m], and Eisen Dial [100m]. It was a total of 500m purchase, a large amount of money and dials. The agent either did not heed Conis’ warning or welcomed it. Whatever the reason was, Conis was set with the large amount of Beri Sun placed on the table and various animal figurines made out of fulgurite, a substance they likely did not have in the Sky since there was no sand - a token of good faith.

[Sun Wukong] “Thank you kindly, Mad’am. My people thank you. I’d like to do something for you as well. This land seems to be… in tension. Is there any way I can help you or your family beyond beri?”

The agent sounded sincere. His mimicry to empathy was second to none.

Sun would turn around, looking upon the winged lady in surprise, the only Skypiean so far that would be willing to help the Agent. Sun would ask for her name in which she would easily respond in kind, giving her name to the Agent without thinking too much. Transactions for the dials were done afterwards where Sun would purchase the dials he needed. Perhaps due to the most warming conversation he has in Skypiea at the moment, Sun would chase his other objective further, perhaps a way to gain further information in regards to what is happening in Skypiea by asking Conis if there are any way to help her. However, this can be regarded as suspicious easily – a foreigner stranger offering help in these times can raise an eyebrow. However, before Conis would respond a large explosion would occur at the other end of the market.

BOOM

The explosion occurs, and the other Skypieans started running away from the source of the sound, many were screaming and panicking – turning the whole situation into a chaotic mess quickly. Conis however looked to be equally anxious, but not one to scream and completely panicking. Instead Conis would finally respond to Sun in a clearly uncomfortable and anxious tone.

“I would advise you to stay out of trouble. It seems you are an inquisitive person so I would be careful getting involved with the recent terrorism if I were you.”

Conis gave another piece of advice to Sun before gesturing him with her hand, signalling good bye as she too would leave the area quickly, not wanting to be caught up into serious problems. But for Sun, he could choose to investigate – the source of the explosion could be seen from afar as smoke rises to the very top into the sky. It may answer his question about the situation in Skypiea, but doing so may also attract the guards’ attention.

The dials we’re placed in various parts of his clothing. It looked natural, but the reality was that once inside his pockets, Sun’s body would literally swallow them. A peek of being a Numa man. The man repeated the name ‘Conis’, as an appreciation for her sharing her name. Sun would burn it to his memory.

Conis would not have to answer his query, for an explosion interjected. Sun mimicked the anxiousness, turning to the explosion after seeking shelter. He saw the many running from the area. Then, Adonis said something that caused him to raise an ear.

[Sun Wukong] “Terrorism? What do you mean? H-H-Hey! Where are you going?! How can I... Damn!”

The agent trailed off. Coins had left, not giving him the opportunity to inquire more. Once more, Sun did not take her advise. He knew that as the strange man in the land, terrorism could be blamed on him, but if he was to Divide the Sky, he would need to find what was going on in the Sky.

With little hesitation, Sun ran towards the explosion. He would jump right in the fray, right where the mouth of the explosion irrupted.

The agent took off towards the source of an explosion, and soon he would find the source of the explosion, smoke and fire set ablaze of a hut with many items laid upon the ground, some damaged by explosion. Seems like a shop was destroyed by unknown means. Inside the hut, with the now flames and smoke being slowly extinguished by guards using bucket of water, a Skypiean man could be seen, completely engulfed by the explosion and now charred as the body laid face down inside. Dead. There are some onlookers but with the guards setting up a perimeter, approaching it directly is likely difficult if not impossible without catching the guards’ attention.

However, as Sun is investigating the situation in Skypiea, clues may be left upon the scene of the explosion. But whether or not Sun can get himself into the scene to truly investigate the situation and visualize what has happened depends on whether or not he could either sneak himself quietly into scene or somehow talk into getting in. There are no suspicious-looking person, or at the very least since all of them are Skypieans, it may be difficult to notice anyone, as everyone else seems to be fairly shocked by what happened.

Of course, Sun could also choose to leave and come back later, but doing so means likely any clues for investigation might no longer be there. Perhaps for Sun, as a Cipher Pol Agent – a detective adventure into the tension of Skypiea is about to begin.

The agent made haste towards the explosion, seeing from outside the wanton destruction. He needed to investigate, but how? He could try to sneak in or try to talk himself him. The decision was clear. These people were so wary, there was no way a non-Skypiean would be seen as anon-threat in a terrorism attack. A new angle arose.

[Sun Wukong] “Time to try out these new powers.”

Sun moved out of sight, and churned. His body turned brown, swallowing the bag he had and his own body. By swallowing his own body, Sun became a small puddle of mud. The mud slithered through the smoke and into the hut, using the smoke and the panic as a shield.

Mud Sun moved inside the hut and looked for a vantage spot, hidden enough but well enough he could see a full view.

The agent would find a use of his powers by turning into a puddle of mud, the swamp element to be specific. This would allow him slither into the burnt house undetected, seeping into the cracks. With the large amount of smoke still obscuring the house from an outside view, this allows Sun to remain on the vantage point he has secured to take a look at the crime scene. It would take a while before the guards would come into the crime scene and see what is going on, but for Sun he now has the completely untouched crime scene to figure things out.

Near the entrance of the house, now completely caved in from the roof structure collapsed down to block the entrance – a completely burnt corpse as well as what seems to be the epicentre of an explosion on the ground, charred flooring, a shell and some sort of could be seen around. At the back of the house lies a safe, only slightly damaged. On the shelves near a desk, many shells could be seen, as well as papers, some burnt some covered in dirt litters the floor and desk. Right now Sun has the opportunity to at least inspect certain areas properly, but he would have to be careful getting out of the ‘mud’ form he is using for a human form within the house can be easily discern from outside eyes even with the smoke.

The agent, turned to mud, got inside the home. He slithered in undetected, gaining a view inside. No one was in yet, so Sun was largely unhindered. Even through the smoke, Sun surmised the silloette would give him away, so he went another way.

[Sun Wukong] “Partial transformation. Don’t know how to sustain it yet, but it should be enough.”

After inspecting the explosion area, Sun slithered towards the room with the safe. As promised, he partially transformed. From the kid came a hand and an eye. With the hand Sun moved the papers and tried to decipher them. If they held anything of value, he would digest them into his body. The same was for the dials. If he did not have them, he would swallow them.

The agent looked for the truth of the Sky.

The house is still covered in smoke, allowing Sun to inspect the explosion area, through closer inspection of its epicentre, it seems like something exploded just on the doorstep and with its vicinity is the victim itself. The shell on the crime scene is definitely a dial of sorts, though its function remains to be seen without further testing or comparing dials to its function. Sun may start to have an idea what has happened, but the motivations are not known, and so far the identity of the victim remains unknown without going through the papers, as the corpse is essentially burnt to the point not even the back survived burning. There seems to be of no use to identification, except that the victim’s physicality for what it’s worth is well-built, has no breasts to consider the victim anything but very likely male.

After the inspection of the explosion area, papers were amassed and absorbed into his bodily fluids, for the lack of description upon deciding which one is it useful to keep. Sun would notice several letters, with its contents seems either requests to do something or very administrative. There is however, a singular letter – marked with a strange emblem – three black magatama. And when read, the letter was completely blank, saved only by one single word at its bottom. ‘G’.

A mysterious letter for sure. But without context it is hard to decipher and understand, Sun would need to find a way to get the context. Time is running out however, for the smoke is slowly clearing as voices from the outside can now be heard. There are still a couple of letters however, marked with the same black magatamas – but is unread. The safe remains unopened for the time being as it is likely absorbed by Sun.

The agent used his mud body to shift through the evidence. No profile from the man, but Sun did take the letters and the strange dial. The letters were with a strange emblem, at least one with the letter G. The smoke began to clear, and with no background to go on, Sun had to absorb and go, safe and all.

Sun turned to mud completely again, leaving the crime scene the same way he entered it, stealthily.

[Sun Wukong] “Without any context, this evidence is useless. I need to find someone who would be willing to share information.”
[Sun Wukong] “Wait... Conis!”

The agent thought the aforementioned to himself. He needed more pieces to make this puzzle, and with no background of the Sky, he needed someone who would. Conis, as she introduced herself, was the only person who had spoken to him, who had given him the time of day. She was the key, he thought.

The agent turned back to normal when he was not seen. He retraced his steps and figured out where he last saw Conis. He had seen Conis go in a particular direction after the explosion, and that is where Sun went. He looked for any housing. Sun had given her so much Beri, she was likely done for the day. He sought settlements. If he found them, he would kindly ask bystanders whether they knew if a Conis lived there.

The Agent would acquire all that he needs from the crime scene, and all that’s left for now, is to piece together the evidence and figure out what happened. Sun would start to brainstorm, he needed a person to help contextualize the situation but there’s almost nobody – except one. Conis. Sun’s hope to find the truth. He needed to find her after she have hastily left the area, likely to return home for safety. The Agent would slither away, reforming into his humanoid form once he is cleared to do so with no witnesses.

Sun started to retrace his steps, back to where the first meeting with Conis was. Fresh in his memory he was able to discern and recognize the path she took before the explosion. Not much to work with but it is a lead that could bring him to his goal. Sun would continue to a path he sought, and eventually he would leave the market area and ultimately find himself in Angel’s Island residential area, a place full of housings. Sun would notice no one is around however, but soon if he was to continue inwards to the area he would eventually heard noises near the centre.

Should Sun continue his investigations to the noise, he will find a large number of Skypieans gathering near the centre, a rowdy crowd as there are a lot of talking and murmurings, at the centre seems to be a small stage and a podium, perhaps an open council meeting sort of space. Here, Sun would find it troubling to search for Conis if he were to believe that she is around, like a needle in the haystack.

“Why isn’t Gan Fall doing anything to stop the remnants of the God’s Army?!”

“Where is our militia?! Why aren’t they attacking them in the Upper Yard?! These Terrorist is going to kill us all!”

Many complaints, many shouting – a troubling crowd. Sun would find it difficult to get any information from the crowd as they seem to be busy complaining to the one man at the podium, whom seem to be finding it really hard to calm the residents. Sun could continue to search for Conis, whether in the crowd or elsewhere – but he could also find a workaround to his solution here.

The agent found a settlement. Armed with little evidence and no context, Sun sought Conis. A needle in a haystack, he thought. However, voices called his attention, and the Humandrill followed. He had covered his body with a coat pulled from his bag, trying to not attract unwanted attention. After all, these people were on high alert from a ”terrorist”.

A man in the podium. Sun widened his eyes, taking in the words. Upper Yard. Army. Gan Fall. God’s Army. Suddenly, the Humandrill widened his eyes, coming to a realization. Those named started with the letter ‘G’. His hand turned to mud, birthing the letter with the strange emblem.

Sun walked to the man in the podium.

[Sun Wukong] “Excuse me, sir! The terrorists have left this behind! Do you know whose symbol that is?!”
Sun decided to take a gamble. Even he seems to know more than Conis. He offered the letter to the man, already having committed it to memory. The agent did not show the dial. If that was indeed the weapon, showing it would arise too much suspicion in this wary crowd. Sun aimed to find answers, and, if need be, get a riot he could follow or get more information from.

Shake the bee’s nest to have them exit.

A surprise revelation perhaps to Sun as he made connections with the names and the letter, however whether the connection turns out to be as what Sun seems to be implying would be another story. But for now, Sun would take a gamble, walking to the podium and calling to the man on it with the letter in his hand. The letter is then offered to the man, prompting him to took it as the crowd would watch, once again murmuring in regards to the what has just transpired, looks of confusion or even suspicion could be grasped from the atmosphere.

The man would see the black magatamas as the emblem of the letter, there is only a letter ‘G’ read. The man’s face became pale, it seems like the man knew of something, but did not respond. Then after a moment of silence, the man would finally spoke. This time in a rather serious tone, his facial expression seems to one of suspicion towards Sun. The Agent spoke of the terrorist where he or she left behind such letter.

“Where did you get this?! This… black magatama… is the emblem of the God’s Army… For Enel once have this very emblem on him!”

The man’s words would hit the crowd, once more the crowd would start to raise their voices as things became rowdier once more. But what does the G means? The man did not answer the question, for he instead poses another question towards the Agent in a more suspicious tone.

“Who are you? Are you in cahoots with the God’s Army?!”

“Y-Yeah! M-Maybe you just made the letter up on your own!”

Perhaps a little backfire on the Agent’s part as he chose not to be more forthcoming in regards to the letter which leads to even stronger reaction from the crowd. The suspicion towards Sun wasn’t too unfounded either, for he produces a letter from nowhere beyond that the terrorist has ‘left it behind’ – It could be a bluff and perhaps even a way for the Agent to use this letter, whether created on his own or not to push the suspicion from him away to someone else. Sun would need to find a way to convince them that he was not. He could show his cards earlier and mention about being in the crime scene, but it may be a double-edge sword which may result in a worse outcome for him.

How would the Agent go about convincing them that he is on their side?

The agent got mixed response. The man accused “Enel’s Army”. Was this the one called God’s Army? The man had said that they should attack them in Upper Yard? Is that where the terrorists lived, or was more deceit laid out? Sun made his life work to be deceit. He felt that the soap box man was hiding something. His reaction did not track his response.

However, Sun had bigger problems. He was a suspect.

[Sun Wukong] “M-m-e?! No! I saw this man running from the explosion and he dropped this letter! He had a LOT of dials with him, but one in particular! He had a strange dial! Let me describe it to you!

Sun had learned a lot with his ten years serving as a Kingdom Spy. A lie is better if coated in truth. The corpse was male, so Sun said it was a male. The letter was also a fact. The dial was also a fact. Conis had told Sun that carrying a lot of dials would be suspicious, so Sun also added that in. A lie coated in truth. To not arise further suspicion, Sun did not produce the strange dial, but did describe it to a T.

[Sun Wukong] “Why would I come forward if I was in cahoots, knowing I was a stranger, to those trying to find the truth?! I’m here to help! I can’t stand people in pain.“
[Sun Wukong] “Conis-San would vouch for me!”

Sun hedged his bets. If someone recognized the name, at least he could find out information on her if he lost the trust of these men.

The onus is now onto the Agent to refute the claims made by the locals – leading to his immediate self-defence which he would speak in great detail regarding the ‘man’ that ran from the explosion. The description of the man was made regarding a male Skypiean by the Agent carrying a large amount of dials. The lie however would only be effective if there wasn’t any suspicious person looked on by onlookers near the crime scene, and potentially if Conis is within the crowd and did not catch on – a somewhat dangerous lie. But for now, the Agent would find his defense to be undisputed.

That is until the Agent would refute that there’s no reason for him to be here if he is truly in cahoots, but the soap box man would appear unimpressed, perhaps there is something about the man? Yet regardless, his intentions are to help, at least from the outside and uses Conis as his vouch. This would lead into more murmurings as the crowd would debate amongst themselves. A feminine voice would appear soon afterwards, the same voice that Sun would only recognize.

“He indeed, is with me when the explosion occurred. But we split up soon afterwards.”

Conis would speak, perhaps Sun’s true angel in Skypiea. A local has pretty much confirmed his alibi, but her second sentence might be troublesome, yet it is nothing but the truth for Conis. The crowd would noisily continue their debates, whether Sun is truly here to help or merely part of the terrorists. Soon afterwards, the soap man box would finally speak – carrying a certain authority.

“Since Conis has vouched that you are not involved when the explosion occurred, if you are here to help us – stranger, for both your sake and ours do help us to get to the bottom of this. I’m Mr. Rajiv, a councilmen in-charge of the residency in Skypiea. And since she has vouched for you, Conis. You are in-charge of him.”

“W-Wha?!”

“You heard me, since you are the only contact he have, you will watch over him. I will let the guards know of your… help. The rest of you should return to your homes soon.”

The crowd would slowly disperse, but suddenly, another explosion would occur, this time not very far away given the source of the noise being rather near. This would prompt the crowd into havoc and disarray. This time Mr. Rajiv wasn’t able to calm the people down as easily, but still tried to shout for people to stay calm. It wasn’t really all that effective.

“Well stranger…!?”

A passive aggressive tone towards Sun was made by the councilman, waiting for the Agent to get to work. Should the Agent leave towards the new source of explosion, Conis would quickly follow the Agent, having no choice but to obey the words of her leader.

Tension rose. The gamble was laid out. Half schemes and half truths set to blind the populace. The Humandrill’s heart quickened, before a familiar voice broke the silence. Conis had been listening. The kind-hearted girl vouched for the agent with full truths. Sun was indeed with her when the explosion occurred. A lucky draw.

Mr. Rajiv tasked him with the investigation. Comically, Conis was tasked to look over him. The guards would be tasked, but the scene was set. Suddenly, a most familiar explosion occurred.

[Sun Wukong] “Roger! Conis, meet me at the explosion, I’ll go on ahead! Soru!!”

The Humandrill disappeared in a flash. He was once there, and then he was not. A technique of the Blues. The first time, Sun did not blitz the explosion. After all, he had little information, did not want to become a suspect, and had met Conis, his guide. This time, however, those concerns were naught. With his speed, Sun sought to catch the culprit in the act.

Utilizing Geppou, Sun appeared above the building, scanning for any movement, keeping his nose, ears, and eyes peeled.

69 Movement Speed + 12 movement speed (60 Rokushiki / 5 = 12)
Speed during Soru = 81-99 Massively Hypersonic Speed

The Agent moves at incredible speed, effectively abandoning Conis as he would rush to the explosion, Conis could only play catch up. Sun would get towards an area, several houses set in flames, perhaps fortunate that most people were at the evacuation point thus likely there are no further victims. But on the other hand he could see a couple of people running from the area pretty quickly, with excellent eyesight one could see rocket launchers slung on one of them at least. The speed in which the Agent utilize was a smart decision, allowing him to see what is going on at once.

From here, Sun could get to the couple of people, seemingly suspicious with the weapons on them. They seem suspicious enough perhaps, would Sun go ahead to confront them? Or would he attempt to look into the houses set ablaze, for despite what should not been victims given the situation prior – there may be actual people trapped, an outlier – an unfortunate situation. Things have not been black and white for the Agent so far. And no matter how fast the Agent could be, it is unlikely he would have time to do both.
