As Professor Dondigo looked onwards, his friends fighting with all they had against such powerful enemies, he felt a flame well up within himself. A flame of burning passion! All his life all he wanted to do was help people and do right in the world. Yet here before him were his most valued companions, in need of dire help, and he felt he could do nothing to aid them! "I must cross this river and support my comrades!"
As he searches for a way accross he notices the gondolas which they used to get here, and that Gatsu used to cross the river himself. Although he did so in a manner which the professor unfortunatly could not replicate. No matter however, as the gondolas have since moved do to Gatsu's vigorous movements upon them, drifting into a sort of make-shift floating bridge.
"This is my chance!" He rises to his feet and runs over to the slowly drifting gondolas. Shakily hoisting himself onto the first, and then jumping onto the second, then finally lowering himself down to the shoreline. He begins sprinting as fast as he can to where Casca and the giant bird landed moments ago.
As Casca regains her composure laying atop the huge bird she feels the large beast stir beneath her, croaking out a deathly sound that makes her blood curdle. She quickly rights herself and begins removing her sword from the birds chest. Its blood curdling croak turns to an ear defining shriek as the blade slides out from deep within its chest cavity. As the sword comes loose the hellish noise comes to an end and the beast begins to stir again.
Casca slides down its stomach to the ground, sword in hand, as the creature rights its self. "Damnit! This thing won't stay down!" She lands doing a somersault and turning around to face the bird. At the same time the bird turns around and begins climbing up onto a stone wall of the ancient ruins. "Is it trying to get away? Or maybe..." It didn't take long for the bird to scale the wall, still retaining the partial use of its wings, it was able to effectively run or claw up the wall. (You know how birds do from time to time.)
Once on top and done steadying its self, the bird turns and faces Casca with eyes full of fury and vengeance. She could almost read its mind from the look alone. " You have done this to me...! You shall pay...!" And so the bird opened its beak and with a vengeful croak sent yet another torrent of flames towards the young warrior woman. "Shit!" She thought as she dove to the side.
Dondigo having walked into this scene thought Casca would be done for. After all, based on the inferno it created before, there was no way Casca would be able to escape. However, the size of this fireball paled in comparison to the previous one which consumed Shalki. Perhaps the deep wound to its chest was limiting his fire breathing. No matter! The attack barely grazes Casca as she dives to the side and merely catches her cape on fire which is promptly put out by her rolling away from the fireball. "Now! I must act!" Dondigo thinks to himself as he draws his pattented bubbler-rifle and switches it to slippy-dip mode taking aim at the bird as it stands on the wall. He fires a volley of bubble-bullets at the beast as it ceases its torrent of flames.

Bubbler-rifle (requires 25 science): uses special juices (the same as from Sabaody Archipelago trees) to make bubbles which are then fired at the enemy. The blaster has two modes. - 10 invention points (because of versatility)
1) Bubble-floater mode: (projectile size ≈ 1m diameter) creates a bubble around the impacted target which will cause the target to float. The encapsulated target still maintains some control over motion while in the bubble (movement speed 1, can move in all directions). These bubble bullets can be broken before impact by projectiles or strong enough air waves. Any attacks from inside or out can break the bubble. (Durability 1) One could however reach their arm outside the bubble and attack or defend from there.
2) Slippy-dip mode
projectile size ≈ 5cm diameter) coats impacted target with a slippery substance getting rid of nearly all friction around the object. Players hit by this will not be able to stand or hold on to weapons and weapons hit by this will become impossible to hold effectively. These bubble bullets can be broken before impact by projectiles or strong enough air waves. (Durability 1) Washing off the substance or rolling in an absorptive substance like dirt or sand will cause the effect to wear off but will use up the players turn.
2) Slippy-dip mode
