I tested both Spotify and Soundcloud and thought the latter would be the better option since it contains less ads and you don't have the shuffle shit. But now I often listen to songs on Youtube on repeat because that avoids advertisement. :feelsbadman: It's not the ultimate solution either though.

Indeed, I hope as well that most sites realize that too much advertisement can ruin the user experience. The same goes for the newest idea to ask for push up notifications on sites. Also the thing with Adblock is superfun nowadays. I eventually turned it off completely because every site said "please turn off adblock and show ads because we need the money" and otherwise you couldn't see the content. Why is this world so influenced by ads nowadays, it's awful.

Currently there is no platform similar to Youtube that kept standing. There were some in the past but I believe they didn't hold it. Youtube has lots of positive sides but they are slowly destroying themselves.
I never used SoundCloud so I dunno how it works there, but the free version of Spotify is a pain indeed. I always hated the shuffle, the ads between music and that you can't skip too much songs. YouTube is good to listen to music since there are songs you can't find in neither streaming apps. I use it a lot when I want to listen to some songs.

Its because this era is online. Everything is moving over to be online and that includes ads and a lot of other things. Here in Brazil we have some news that you can only read if you sign monthly because the site only allows a sneaky peak. Since everything is migrating from physical to online forms, I think we're still going to suffer a bit until there's a common ground and familiarity with the new stuff.

In the end it makes me think that technology is advancing fast enough, which is awesome, but we're not keeping up with it's advance, which is bad.

I have my playlists on youtube and don't use any other service for listening to music. Mostly because I am just really familiar with it and it's not a burden to use when you do have blockers installed.

I dont have an issue when I have ad blocker on, but I recently reinstalled google and haven't got around to adding the ad blocker back and it is quite annoying.
Yeah the change is quite frustrating. Maybe I should retry Adblock but I think I am just gonna say "fuck it" :ghostie:

Oh yes. That were the reasons (beside lots of ads). In SoundCloud you can have them on repeat and choose songs yourself and change as often as you want. But there aren't always the songs you're looking for in my opinion. Even though it's known to be a startbase for new artists.

Yeah right. We have that too. Mobile online news but no, you need to sign up and have an abo instead of just reading. So frustrating.

Oh yes. It will still need some time. Laws need to adjust and there needs to come structure and order without cutting too mich freedom from the users.

Glad I am spotify prime user and I think about using youtube prime.
I don't remember the name of it but I actually considered getting the youtube subscription for the brief moment because they had an exclusive series I wanted to watch because the trailer seemed interesting, however, I changed my mind. Likely a good thing because I don' even remember what the series I wanted to watch was about now lol.

Same goes for me with Netflix. I have it for a year now probably and watched maybe 5 things. I luckily share it with a friend so the price is cut in half. But why do I have it even if I don't use it

dont understand how twitch is involved with amazon xd
I use to order alot on amazon, the cheapest and neatest stuff, so I am glad using amazon prime (once for the shows and the utilization of the fireTV stick for my father) but mostly for the free shipping.
I feel like I am manipulated lol

I loveeeeeeeeeee my netflix. I use it constantly, that is the one thing I ever purchased that I have got my money worth out of it. Currently binging the Black List.

Great to hear that. I know it's convenient but I have trouble keeping focus with watching anything. If I am really into something I have no problems. Recently watched all three seasons of MHA. But I stopped for example Stranger Things after 4 episodes even though I liked it. I just get distracted and I forget about it :dogkek:

I never finish anything, I lose interest in shows quite quickly. For me to continue to watch or read something, it actually has to keep me interested the entire time, or I will get bored and drop it.
