i shouldn't do this but i havent played mafia in so long and i miss it and i can still feel the dopamine in my brain and that urges me to just chime in and mediate between people

rej, there is nothing mathematical about me giving a townread on a bunch of people and stray cat reacting to that (since i didnt randomly call them town, i gave reasons, or at least i had a reason). for harry potter, it was illogical of stray cat to react in such a way of me just playing the game normally, so in his mind, the logical conclusion was that i just happened to be right and stray cat being scum would feel panicked that things arent going well for her. that is before we grew on stray cat and decided that shes town now

Greetings everyone,

I don't consider myself to be the type of person that stands out and makes enemies, but I'm also not really the type of person that's loved by others either. So, therefore, I hate you all no offense (Nah I love you all even the strangers).

Now that I am done with my Monologue I wanna say game moving rather quickly and players giving readings like candy when it should be treated like a diamond. Though It is auspicious to get reads fast I suppose. Ergo, giving "read" like candy is actually a sign of good game.

Well, good luck to you all. This probably my one and only fluff post.

oh don't worry I am the type of player who likes to play with odds and I never leave them out of my eyes, I know ted's in depth tought process is towny and I rly felt he genuinly tried to understand Stray Cat
but I don't like discussing hypothetical flips this early, like if player x flips scum then player y's reads are all correct
I know ted likes to throw theories and chase them, but at this point I couldn't track it down something was off 🤷

i don't think theoretical flips are ever early. like, they can be wrong or right just like any other read can be wrong or right, no difference
ofc u can disagree, i just felt the need to speak on harry potter's behalf since most of the times town uses due to allienation, and i felt harry potter feeling alienated by you implying his post was based on math, and then him expressing his frustration at you which in turn could have maybe made you feel a bit alienated, and yea its just better to nick these stuff at the bud. when town loses 99% of the time its due to lack of communication/compromises

1) You know that you can get reactions by calling people scum. And reactions I got. You are overly defensive and that's what I don't like. Also, asking if scum would do this or that is WIFOM. Not liking that either. Because why would ask if scum would do that or that or whatever when you're Town? Townies are way more confident than what you're portraying right now.
2) Where was I insinuating anything when I was, again, just asking a question? I asked a question, you answered. And your answer and overall reaction was poor.
3) Pointing out multiple possibilities is not an inconsistency at all.

Can you explain what you're trying to pull here?
State where i became defensive? If responding to your questions and pointing where your inconsistencies are is defensive then you are wrong. It's called probing..
WIFOM? Point it out.
Do I lack confidence in questioning you and addressing what your inconsistencies are? Do I feel pressure everytime I responded to a posts esp to those calling me out?
I am not questioning you pointing out possibilities LOL but the manner in which you present it..

Between the two of us, you are inconsitent..

Nah, that's not what Ted meant I think. Ted expressed his frustration over Rej trying to presume his alignment based on maths rather than his thought process. Ted was never based on maths it was Rej.

I get your point, I personally just never really worked with theoretical flips, except it is rolemadness and claims are involved lol.
I like the word "alienated", feels very welcoming.
Anyway let's move on. I have like a bit over a hour before going to bed.

All I can finally add to this is that I feel Rej - ted interactions are always weird. I hosted him as his Alpha Town match on another forum, then I hosted his worst mafiosi game I have probably seen from someone in a while. And inbetween we always had random matchups and shortly ephemeral match ups and in the recent game we both got early gamed D1 as town. He was a D1 mislynch and I got vigged N2. :pepeclown:

No tbh he didn't sound frustrated, you should know ted is rational or his scumplay consists of wishthinking. He replied with sarcasm and sounded genuine I feel. Genuine is rational, no frustration. That's how I interpreted it

I was just expressing my own opinion and I did not say anything about his post doesn't sound genuine regardless frustration is also genuine emotion it just all depend on how you express it I suppose.

Inb4, I have only played one game with him where he was scum.

Sounded pushy but okay, I am curious how you will proceed.

Ah damn you subbed out of my AB game I think, ted's performance was legendary for AB standards, people gonna remember the "wtf, who the fuck is this guy" reactions and then he revealed himself in the end. That was dope. I saw that similair town ted on TS and I expect to see a similair town ted here in this game.

I am actually curious what made you think I sound pushy? Don't let anything stop you from explaining

Maybe Pushy is still to hard for what I tried to express. But I found it interesting that your first take on the game was revisitting the ted/Rej interaction. I was just irritated that you interpreted him as frustrated, that made me think that your post was forged with another possible intend.

sorry to be half asleep at this hour :p
I make reads in layers. Let's take Cat i said I liked. That is the first layer.
Any towny behaviour I notice is adding to that to form a town read, or at contrary is developing in a scum read for scum behaviour.
I am always reevaluating.
How do you make reads early on in the first 2 pages? Normally it takes me a while for me to get a read on a player on day 1.
oh, dat dude does GTH reads, you should try it too, just call out some players you think are towny, now and without thinking :sarcasticshottie:
What is GTH? It's my first time hearing this. Calling out multiple players on day 1 town I would need to hear an explanation on so that way I can figure out if that is AI or NAI.

Backpedalling isn't necessarily a scum tell, hence my neutral read on you for now.
Most of the time I always consider backpedaling to be a town move since I would consider the player to be sorting. Ted originally leaned scum on you and after observing you more he came to a town read on you and I thought that looked towny.

You see the bold part... people tend to have a habit using words that have already been used by someone post you're addressing to express your own view of something. Also, I was correcting him that it was not Ted who implied something based on math.

GTH is gun to head i think

i think michelle was explaining how she forms reads (in general) cuz she thought i was questioning her about meta, when i meant something very different with the sentence that included the word meta

GTH = Gun to Head
oh Drago just recently published a guide to traditional mafia you should check it out for some new stuff maybe

GTH means you react fast and genuine often with gut, like someone holding a gun on your head, people do it to not waste time and to have something to discuss

you often have a GTH/RVS stage and the followed by a discussion stage where you discuss what is thrown in, that is the purpose of GTH, it also helps to track down how people flipflop and pace their PoE. that's some high end stuff and, no I am still not that experienced with it, but I can handle that playstyle. :pandaawn:

oh damn, it is just fair to ask @Onadaga the same question.
How come you interpreted it as frustration?
