Despite what she was expecting, Mad Treasure actually smiles wider at seeing her do something he can't even see. She thought he might decide to cut his losses even with his personality but it shouldn't be too surprising and was just a final attempt before the battle starts since the small girl wasn't really sure what she will do with him and his crew when she wins; they were in too much of a hurry to call the authorities and it would bring a risk she wasn't willing to take for the current mission anyway.

Jade listens to his replies, her sword and stance back to their previous positions. Even though she has heard many semi-similar speeches and comments over her time in the Marines and Revolutionary Army, the Dwarf doesn't tune him out and keeps giving him her full attention. During it he gives her a look of curiosity that borders on fascination, which doesn't even make her squirm as she is used to odd looks & expressions due to things like her size, large weapon and personality.

"He is surprising me a bit, most people would run if they saw so something so powerful and couldn't see it; even if they are someone like him who likes the danger." Despite the earlier interaction and Jade basically telling him to keep quiet for now, Nikko can't help but comment since the battle hasn't started between them and they were still just talking.

She doesn't take her eyes off the pirate captain or change her expression but internally Jade rolls her eyes ever so slightly
"This is you being quiet huh?"

Nikko's chuckle echoes in the Dwarf's mind slightly "Sorry, after so long of being alone I am just used to saying things outloud. Or my equivalent anyway. Besides it's not really a distraction when you are still just talking." He goes quiet again, for real this time just as Mad Treasure asks the Warrant Officer two questions.
"Now, small warrior, let me ask you something."

His voice dropped low, serious for the first time.

"If breaking the world is the only way to save it, how much of yourself are you willing to shatter along the way?"

The chains around his arms rattled in the breeze.

"And when the world pushes back, will Jade Belle remain Jade Belle, or become something else entirely?"
Jade barely let's a few seconds pass before she answers him, not needing to think about it as she thought it through a long time ago "If it takes breaking the world to save it, it stands to reason that breaking myself to do the same thing is worthwhile if it helps people. I have already gone against the things my mentor taught me and the values he tried to instill in me just by leaving the Marines. I have fought and defeated friends and people I looked up to, toppled the governments of countries and destroyed individuals who were just doing their job. Everything I have done would be kind of meaningless if I was unwilling to go as far with my own body or soul as I am with the world itself"

There is a slight pause for her to figure out how to word the next few parts of her response "I am already a different Jade Belle from the one that joined the Revolutionaries, let alone the one that joined the Marines. By the end I'm sure I will be as different as I am now to the child I started life as. But as long as I have my Justice and philosophies, I am willing to go as far as needed and will push back against anything the world hasn't already thrown at me"

Mad Treasure watched her closely as she listened, blade lowered, stance returned to calm readiness. He felt no fear at what she had shown him earlier. If anything, his smile widened further, teeth bared in open delight.

Most people panicked when faced with power they could not understand. Others retreated. Some begged. Jade Belle did none of that. She listened. Properly. As if his words mattered.

That alone fascinated him.

When she spoke again, her answer came without delay. No uncertainty. No doubt. She spoke of breaking herself alongside the world if that was the cost. Of abandoning mentors, clashing with former allies, tearing down nations, and accepting the weight of every consequence without flinching.

Mad Treasure felt a thrill crawl up his spine.

She is already broken in all the right ways.

"So you have already burned your past to keep walking forwards" he said quietly. "That explains it. You are not chasing justice. You are carrying it."

Her words held no arrogance. Only acceptance. That was what made them dangerous.

"You know" he continued, chains shifting lazily as he spoke, "most people who claim they would sacrifice themselves are lying. They believe there will always be something left of them at the end. You do not."

He laughed softly, not mockery, not madness, but genuine amusement.

"I admire that. Truly. It takes a special kind of resolve to accept that you will never be the same again and continue anyway."

His gaze sharpened, excitement burning brighter.

"But understand this" he said. "I am no different. I have abandoned everything except my hunt. Friends, safety, reason. I do not care what is left of me so long as I keep moving forwards."

He took a slow step closer.

"You fight to change the world. I fight because the world resists being taken. And that resistance is glorious."

The chains around his arms began to stir more actively, metal whispering against metal as his intent rose.

"So when you tell me you are willing to break yourself, I believe you" he said. "And when I tell you I will not stop, not here, not ever, you should believe me too."

His grin spread wide, eyes gleaming with unrestrained hunger.

"This is why I will not walk away, Jade Belle. Not after meeting someone like you."

The chains lifted higher now, coiling and multiplying as his body prepared for violence at last.

"Let us see which of us the world breaks first."

Jade goes back to listening, letting the pirate captain react to her various replies and impromptu speech. She wouldn't have expected someone like him to understand her and what she is trying to do but Mad Treasure seems to be one of the few she has met that at least somewhat gets it, or at least able to recognize her resolve and that she meant what she was saying.

His gaze then seems to sharpen and the atmosphere around them shifts ever so slightly, like a prelude to the actual battle as he seemingly had the answers he needed to know who Jade was. Mad Treasure then starts talking about himself in a similar way to how the Dwarf just did, mentioning that he fights because the world resists being taken rather than because he wants to change it. His words are not quite the reverse of the Warrant Officer's but they are definitely not the same and clearly show he isn't going to back-down.

His last sentence doesn't echo but it definitely resonates around them and Jade recognizes it as a direct challenge that she doesn't need to respond to, able to tell the time for talking has passed. Silence seems to pervade her and her opponent, as if they are waiting for a tangible signal to start the inevitable battle. The Dwarf stays in the same stance but subtly prepares her body to move, her expression also hardening slightly.

A large shadow goes over the ship and right over the top of them, Zazu finally having taken flight and flapping it's large wings to gain altitude. Many people fighting end up looking up but very few actually take advantage as they are also distracted by the large bird.

The small girl doesn't directly react to the shape flying over her head but she does use it as the waited signal to start fighting. Rather than letting him attack her first or heading straight forward to stop him, she sidesteps to her left and his right and instantly gets into more of a fighting stance. Her sword changes positions so fast that to most people it just suddenly changed angles and location, now being held out horizontally to one side with the one edge slightly pointing upwards.

Although she easily could use her Cursed Sword's ability to do a ranged attack, by habit the Dwarf automatically does her own sword style without really consciously noticing as she is in 'battle mode'. As normal she even uses the technique she generally first uses against an opponent, swinging her blade in an arc infront of her and creating a small air slash. Due to the slight starting angle of her weapon, it actually goes up rather than straight as she was using the distance between her and Mad Treasure to give it enough height to aim at more at his chest rather than the legs she was level with.

The silence after her words pleased Mad Treasure.

She listened. Properly. No fear, no flinch. Most people talked at him, not with him. That alone marked her as different. As dangerous.

His grin widened as the air between them tightened, like the sea drawing back before a wave.
So that is who you are,’ he thought. ‘Good. Now I know what I am breaking.

He spoke again, voice steady, almost conversational, laying himself bare in the same way she had. He did not fight to change the world. He fought because the world resisted being taken, and that resistance thrilled him. There was no misunderstanding between them now. No space left for retreat.

When he finished, he did not wait for an answer.

Something vast passed overhead, a moving shadow that briefly swallowed the deck. Shouts rippled through the fighting pirates as heads turned skyward. Mad Treasure did not look up. His eyes stayed on her.

That shadow was the signal.

She moved first.

Not forwards. Sideways. Clean, precise. Her blade shifted so fast it seemed to blink to a new position, then swept in a rising arc. The air itself split, pressure screaming as a compact slash tore towards his chest.

Mad Treasure laughed.

So that’s how you open.

He slammed his foot into the deck and threw both arms wide. Chains erupted from him in a violent surge, not striking at her, but launching past her.

Mad Anchor.

The chains screamed across open water, biting into the Sea Pixie’s hull and then into his own ship. Metal wrapped, tightened, and locked. The two vessels groaned as they were dragged together, decks shuddering as distance vanished.

The rising air slash tore through the chains, shredding several links, but the rest held. Sparks flew. Wood cracked. The ships lurched closer still.

Mad Treasure planted himself, chains coiling around his arms as the gap between them collapsed.

Run, dodge, or strike again,’ he thought, exhilaration flooding him. ‘Either way, the hunt begins now.

His laughter echoed across the joined decks as the ships locked together, the battlefield finally sealed.

Jarararara! Let’s see if your resolve holds when there’s nowhere left to step back.

Mad Treasure just watches as she moves and then laughs. Rather than dodging, he instead faced her attack head-on like Jade kind of expected from a man with his personality.

What she didn't expect was for him to send out many chains and attach them to both her ship and his own, several links even going past her and biting into the wood of the deck. The two ships are pulled together much more until they basically collided, creating a battlefield out of the two vessels.

Most of the combatants are knocked off-balance by the floor suddenly moving or slanting, a few even half-fall over as they were in the middle of an attack. Below deck a few pirates and Revolutionaries find themselves being hit by or buried under barrels and other loose items after they were knocked off the selves or from where they were stationed.

Her air slash cuts through a lot of the metal links but quickly loses power and dissipates before going through all of them. Jade hadn't even wobbled and was still standing in the same stance as when she launched the projectile. Seeing that he dealt with it pretty easily, she doesn't wait for him to counterattack and decides to improvise with her Cursed sword as she hadn't used it that much and was always looking for good opportunities to use it.

Jumping onto the nearest metal chain, the small girl then launches herself up into the air slightly towards Mad Treasure. As she reaches the apex and just before she starts to fall, the Warrant Officer suddenly makes the blade of her sword very bright; to the point it will temporarily blind someone if they look for more than a few seconds

Mad Treasure watched her move and laughed, the sound cutting through the chaos of battle. She shifted aside with speed most would lose track of, but he did not bother following it. He stood his ground and met her attack head on, exactly as she likely expected.

The air split as she swung, a compact pressure slash cutting upward towards him. Clean. Efficient. Sensible. His grin widened.

Chains erupted in answer, not scattered but deliberate. Links shot past her, slammed into deck and hull alike, and bit deep into both ships. Metal screamed as tension snapped tight, dragging the vessels together in an instant. Wood cracked as they collided, the decks becoming one unstable battlefield.

Fighters stumbled as the ground shifted beneath them. Below deck came the crashes of loose cargo and the shouts of men caught under it.

Her air slash carved through chain after chain, slicing metal apart with precision, but it bled strength with every link. Before it could reach him, the remaining chains swallowed it whole and the attack died out harmlessly short. She did not flinch. She did not move. Mad Treasure felt a flicker of approval.

Then she vanished.

One moment she was there, the next she was a blur streaking along his chains, using them as a path. As she rose, her blade flared with blinding light.

The brightness burned across his vision, sharp and sudden. Mad Treasure snarled, blinking hard as white flooded his sight for a fraction too long. When it steadied, she was already too close, her form still refusing to resolve into anything solid, just pressure and intent rushing towards him.

Fast little thing,’ he thought, lips pulling into a grin that mixed irritation with excitement. ‘If I keep letting you dance, I’ll never get a clean hit.

The chains answered before his body fully did. Metal rattled as he snapped his arms outward, abandoning brute force for precision. He needed her bound. Needed her pinned, even for a moment, or she would keep slipping through every opening.

Enough running,” he growled.

Chains surged towards her in a tight, predatory weave, no longer meant to drag ships or tear the field apart, but to seize. Links twisted and overlapped, snapping shut as they lunged for limbs and torso alike.

"Chain Lock."

Mad Treasure leaned into the timing, teeth clenched. If he could bind her, even briefly, the fight would finally slow to his pace. And if she slipped free again, he knew exactly what that meant.

This fight would not forgive hesitation.

The small girl watches Mad Treasure get half-blinded just as she begins to fall, his eyes blinking hard as he tries to quickly regain full vision. The chains around him that stopped moving or went slack when his attention was suddenly taken away quickly become taut again when he focuses on precision rather than brute force, the metal seemingly responding before his body fully did.

Many chains launch towards her, aiming to bind and trap her rather than do damage. The links twisted and snapped open & shut as they head towards her limbs and other body parts. Jade had switched her attention to the chains so doesn't notice the pirate captain clenching his teeth and being hyper-focused on slowing her movements, making her unaware how much Mad Treasure was hoping to change the fight to his own pace rather than hers.

In mid-air so would be unable to fully dodge any of them, the Warrant Officer figures out how she is going to deal with the attacks very quickly; mainly because she is doesn't have many options. Bringing her sword up and twisting her body so she is head on with the chains as if she was standing in a normal stance on the ground, Jade lets gravity and the speed of the metal bring them close.

She slightly moves her blade left and right to hit the first few metallic attacks, having enough power to easily deflect them away from her despite the small amount of movement and the fact she was falling through the air. The next couple she just maneuvers her small body out of the way of or brings her arms and legs in to avoid them. As the amount of chains she has to deal with increases, the Dwarf starts to swing her blade around in a circle; spinning it fast enough by switching between her two hands that most of the chains hitting it are shredded and metal shards fly off in every direction. The ones that are not near-instantly destroyed are deflected away and land on the deck or in the sea if they were hit far enough away.

Despite how skilled and experienced she was, Jade doesn't notice one of the links was coming at her from below and slightly behind her. The Revolutionary wasn't using Observation Haki but would have usually noticed it anyway if it wasn't for the fact she was in mid-air and dealing with so many other chains right in front of her. The chain wraps around her small leg in a way that she can't easily cut through without risking her body or use raw strength to break, at least until she reaches the ground in the unlikely case Mad Treasure doesn't take advantage of it.

Mad Treasure felt it the moment their attacks met and came to nothing. No impact. No advantage. Just more wasted force swallowed by her movement and that damned blur of steel.

His teeth ground together.

What do I have to do to put you down,’ he thought, not in rage this time, but with the first real edge of doubt cutting into him. Every exchange kept slipping out of his hands, every attempt to drag the fight to his pace answered by speed he could not pin.

The flash had cost him a heartbeat. He knew it. Hated it.

But the moment his sight steadied, his chains were already moving again, no longer wild, no longer meant to crush. Precision. Capture. Control.

Bind her.

Chains surged upward in tight lines, snapping and twisting for arms, legs, anywhere they could catch. He locked onto her falling form, every instinct screaming to slow her down before she could vanish again.

She met them head on.

Even in the air she fought like she was grounded, blade shifting just enough to knock aside the first strikes. The next she slipped through, folding herself tight, letting links scrape past instead of bite in. Then her sword spun, fast and relentless, shredding metal into fragments that scattered across deck and sea alike.

Mad Treasure watched links die by the dozen and felt his jaw tighten further. She should have been caught already. Anyone else would have been.

Then one chain slipped through.

It came from below, just out of her line, and he saw it bite around her leg, the links snapping tight.

His breath caught.

For the first time since the fight began, something went his way.

Not enough to end it. Not yet. But enough.

His grip clenched and more chains shifted, not pulling yet, just holding, testing how much she could move with steel wrapped around her.

Got you,’ he thought, not triumphant, not relieved, just fiercely focused. ‘Now do not slip again.

Hope did not return to him. Not really.

But the fight had slowed, even if only by a breath, and that was all he needed to keep pushing.

As soon as she felt something slightly hit her leg, Jade knew she must have somehow missed a chain or it had come up in her blind spot. Feeling it start to wrap around her limb, she tries to shake it off but it was a bit too late for that.

When the chain has finished going around her leg, the metal goes taut. Normally this wouldn't have much effect on someone even when in the air unless it is pulled, but Jade was not only a fraction of the size of anyone that wasn't also a Dwarf but was also much lighter. As soon as the links tightens, her entire body ends up being suddenly yanked and tugged from below.

The small girl ends up twisting in mid-air until her legs are pointing directly towards Mad Treasure, the rest of her body in the air diagonally. With the added weight of the chain, Jade ends up falling faster even though she has more air resistance from the changed position of her form. Despite the sudden change and lack of control, she doesn't do anything as the pirate wasn't yet doing anything with the chain and she was in an even worse position to try and get rid of the metal shackle than when it first started to grab onto her.

From where she was in the sky, the Warrant Officer could see Zazu flying around and casting large shadows below. Every now and again, he would soar closer to the deck and create a gust of wind. Most of the Revolutionaries were slightly use to it so either quickly grabbed hold of the nearest solid object so they aren't knocked off their feet or just recovered faster than the pirates. The large bird only glides just long enough to affect a few people before pulling back up, although a small breeze can be felt across most of the deck whenever he does it due to how big his body and wingspan are.

Mad Treasure felt it the moment the chain went tight.

Not just through the metal, but through her. The blur finally broke enough for him to see her twist in mid air, legs dragged down, body forced into a bad angle as gravity and steel worked together.

So even she could be caught.

He did not pull yet. He wanted to see how she would handle it, whether she would snap the chain, cut it, or turn it against him.

She did none of it.

She fell.

Faster now, weighed down by the links, and for the first time she was not in control of the distance between them. That alone made his jaw tighten.

Wind tore across the deck as the great bird swept low again, knocking men sideways and sending gear sliding. Then he caught movement to the side.

Naomi had already raised her bow, arrow aimed at the falling girl, eyes wide with tension.

Psycho P had stopped fighting altogether, sword clenched in fury, staring straight at her like he was ready to charge no matter the cost.

So she matters that much to them,’ he thought. ‘Good.

Still, she did not panic. No wild movement, no desperate cut. Just watching, waiting.

His teeth ground together.

Why are you still so calm.

He tightened his grip, not to slam her yet, but to keep her exactly where she was, trapped between falling and being dragged.

For the first time, the pace of the fight was his.

And he was not about to give it back.

Now Jade was face-to-face with not just Mad Treasure, but also with Psycho P and Naomi.

Jade expects Mad Treasure to take advantage of the chain wrapping around her leg so looks towards him as she falls. She was keeping an eye on his movements so she knew what she had to react to and would therefore never be fully caught off-guard.

However he didn't do anything, letting her fall and watching the small girl be pulled back down on to the deck just by gravity. This meant they were kind of just looking at each other as she fell through the air.
Maybe he is waiting until I land or just before, hoping to attack before I can recover and react. Or perhaps he has something else in mind that I won't expect?

Wanting to keep an eye on the pirate captain but also wanting to look at what was happening below her, Jade activates her Observation Haki. She quickly expands her senses and is able to see all the people fighting on the deck and make out the presence of people in the lower levels of the ship. While she is 'looking', the Warrant Officer notices that two of the people she hit earlier are also looking up at her. They were easily the next most powerful members of the opposing crew after Mad Treasure himself, she could tell that from just the glance she was getting.

Her second-in-command Sophie was helping the other Revolutionary Army members, mainly by quickly defeating the pirates as she was much stronger than any of them. Either by some sort of sixth sense after knowing the Dwarf for a long time or because she was also using her Haki, the lavender-haired woman looks up at Jade and catches her eye. Seeing where their leader was, Sophie's eyes go downwards and sees the expected Mad Treasure but also sees the two other strong combatants from earlier waiting for her.

Despite her small size, Jade quickly reaches the deck due to the weight of her weapon and the metal chain. There is a loud boom and small bits of splintered wood and a decent cloud of dust goes up in the air around where she landed. The Sea Pixie was made of pretty durable wood, although nowhere near as good as actual Adam, so doesn't take much damage from it's leader landing on it at quite high speed. The small girl lands a fair bit away from Mad Treasure, Naomi and Psycho P; but still easily in attack range of all three.

Mad Treasure watched her fall, chain tight around her leg, waiting for the moment she would panic or lash out.

She did neither.

They locked eyes as gravity dragged her down, and the calm in her gaze set his teeth on edge. Most fighters would be scrambling by now, trying to break free or twist the chain into something useful. She was reading him instead, measuring when he would strike.

You are still watching me,’ he thought. ‘Even now.

That alone made him hesitate, just for a beat. Was she baiting him to pull? Waiting for the instant he committed?

Then he felt it shift. Not in the air, but in her presence. Like the deck itself had come into her awareness.

She was looking everywhere at once.

He saw it in the way her focus sharpened, not just on him but on the battlefield, on the crew, on the lower decks. And then he saw Naomi and Psycho P glance up at the same time, both of them tracking her fall.

Psycho P’s hand tightened around his sword, knuckles white with anger.

Naomi already had an arrow drawn, breath held, eyes fixed on the point where Jade would land.

So she had already marked them too.

Damn it…

She hit the deck hard, wood cracking and dust bursting outward in a dull boom. The ship groaned but held, splinters scattering as she rolled through the impact and came up low, chain still biting into her leg.

Not close to him. Not far either.

Close enough for all three of them.

Mad Treasure felt his jaw clench.

She had landed in the middle of his field, surrounded by his strongest fighters, chained and still somehow composed.

And yet he could not shake the feeling that she had chosen that landing.

What do I have to do,’ he thought, a flicker of doubt creeping in despite himself, ‘to finally break you?

Jade casually comes up after landing hard, the only actual damage being to her clothes and even that was just a few small rips. Despite being surrounded and not even coming up to their ankles, it seemed like she was standing much taller and was not in any danger. Although she stays facing Mad Treasure, her eyes quickly look towards Psycho P and Naomi; taking in their position and stances even though she already somewhat knew due to her earlier use of Observation Haki.

While she is bringing her sword up to a fighting stance, it seems to blur ever so slightly and next thing most people watching notices is that the chain around her leg has been severed. The metal links around her leg go slack and then fall off, the chain it was connected to makes a loud thud as it also hits the deck. If the pirates didn't already know they were facing someone fast and powerful, they did now as she had used her sword to cut so fast it didn't seem to move.

The small girl let's out a breath and takes her one hand off the grip of her sword, flexing her fingers as if she was limbering up. It seemed kind of impossible for someone her size to be able to hold the blade steady with two hands, let alone just with one and without concentrating on it as it points to the sky and doesn't even wobble slightly.
"Shall we get to the main course? The appetizer needed a bit of work". Despite her words sounding as if she was mocking or taunting the pirate captain, Jade was actually genuine and often talked without fully thinking it through; she commonly insulted people or said things that could come across as arrogant or mocking without even realizing. In fact her even talking in a fight and acknowledging, even indirectly, new opponents was actually a sign of respect rather than the joke or derision it would be from most people.

Jade keeps an eye on all three of them but stays in her stance and doesn't move. Although a few people might think she was waiting for them to all attack as she knew she could deal with anything they can do, the Dwarf was actually being cautious as she caught Psycho P and Naomi completely off-guard before so wasn't sure how good they were. Letting them make the first moves was a risk but so was trying to move from the middle of them or attacking one of them, the Warrant Officer deciding that caution for now was better and changing her approach later when she had more information or was in a different situation.

She rose from the broken deck like the fall had meant nothing, only a few torn seams to show for it. Too small. Too steady. Mad Treasure felt the pressure of her presence like a weight on his chest, like the fight had already tilted and he was scrambling to pull it back.

Her eyes cut to the sides, quick and knowing. She had already clocked Naomi and Psycho P, already decided where they stood.

Then the blade blurred.

One moment the chain was tight around her leg, the next it lay in scraps at her feet, links skittering across the deck. Mad Treasure barely saw the strike, only the proof that it had happened. His grin faltered for a fraction of a second before he forced it back into place.

Naomi’s breath sharpened. Her bow snapped up, arrow drawn to the cheek, hands steady despite the knot in her gut. She did not wait for orders. She released.

Psycho P moved at the same time, boots slamming against the deck as he surged forward, sword screaming from its sheath. Anger burned through the fear, driving him straight at her centre, teeth clenched as he raised his blade to strike.

Mad Treasure growled under his breath and hauled the chains over his arms, wrapping them tight around his fists. Metal bit into muscle as he pulled them into place, shoulders tensing under the weight.

"Chain Hammer!"

This was getting away from him. He could feel it. If he did not crush her now, if he let her keep setting the pace, the fight was done.

Tch… you are not walking out of this,” he snarled, planting his boots and drawing his chained fists back. Not a boast. A demand. A refusal to accept what the fight was trying to tell him.

Naomi’s arrow cut the air. Psycho P closed the distance.

And Mad Treasure launched forward behind them, chains roaring as he swung, gambling everything on breaking her momentum before it broke him instead.

Naomi is the first to attack, letting the arrow fly free as soon as she was able to. Jade wasn't sure if she had been given a signal or just decided she needed to help her captain take her down on her own. The projectile is in the air for a few seconds before the Dwarf looks away, knowing she could deal with it any time as she was easily able to see it's movements and react.

The man with the pink coat moves next, or perhaps had moved at the same time, surging forwards and taking his sword out of the sheath. He raised the blade and aimed for her center, anger and resolve chasing away any fear he might have had. Like the arrow Psycho P was moving like he was in slow motion to the Warrant Officer, making her able to see every step he took and watch as he slowly prepared to attack as he got closer. Jade was leaning towards dealing with him first but decides to wait and see how Mad Treasure would attack before actually making her own move, just in case he used his chains to catch her off-guard while she was busy or did some other action that would make regret moving too early.

She looks at her third and main opponent just in time to see the last of the metal wrapping around his arms. A few moments later he draws his fists back and then launches himself forwards. Mad Treasure was faster than the arrow and Psycho P but had moved after them so wouldn't reach the Dwarf first unless there was much more distance between them and her. Satisfied, the small girl focuses her attention back on the pink coated man just before his blade would start to come down.

Jade casually readies herself as the three attacks converged on her, bringing her sword up in a horizontal position. She barely braces herself before half-jumping and half-striking with the flat of her weapon into Pyscho P's stomach, her feet still break the wood she was standing on despite not using her full power. As almost an afterthought while still slightly in the air, she looks at the arrow and neatly cuts it in two with a casual vertical slash; even though she had moved and it wouldn't have hurt her anyway. The Revolutionary officer looks at Mad Treasure when she lands back on the ground and let's him pass by if he couldn't react to her moving in time or waits for his attack to be reaimed at her if he does.

Jade is two brackets above all their attack speeds:
If your reaction speed is two or more brackets above your oppponent's movement/attack speed, you will basically see them in slow motion.

Naomi moved first.

The bowstring snapped and the arrow flew, clean and true. She did not wait to see if Mad Treasure gave a signal. There was no time for that. If they hesitated now, they would be crushed. Her eyes stayed locked on the small figure ahead, jaw tight as the shot cut through the smoke and heat of the deck.

Mad Treasure saw it all line up and felt a flicker of grim satisfaction. Good. Pressure her. Force her to react.

Psycho P surged forward at the same time, pink coat snapping behind him as his sword came free. He roared, anger burning hotter than fear, blade raised for a killing strike aimed straight for her centre. He did not slow. Did not hesitate. If he stopped now, he knew he would never move again.

Then it went wrong.

To Mad Treasure, it happened too fast. To Psycho P, it felt like the world lagged behind him.

The girl barely shifted. No panic. No rush. She stepped in.

The flat of her sword slammed into Psycho P’s stomach with a dull, brutal crack. The deck beneath her feet splintered as if struck by a hammer. Psycho P felt the air tear from his lungs, pain detonating through his body as he was flung backwards, skidding across the wood. Blood oozed from his mouth and nose as he came to a stop, sword clattering from his hand. He tried to breathe and failed, eyes wide as the truth finally hit him.

She was far stronger than them.

Naomi’s arrow never reached its mark. Without even looking strained, the girl flicked her blade and split it clean in two. The halves spun away uselessly, clattering across the deck. Naomi froze, fingers still curled from the release, a cold knot forming in her chest.

Mad Treasure was already moving, chains wrapped tight around his fists, body committed to the charge. He saw Psycho P fall. Saw Naomi’s shot vanish. Saw the girl land lightly, calm and balanced, eyes lifting to meet his.

His swing cut through empty space.

Either she slipped past him, or she waited, daring him to adjust. Mad Treasure could not tell which, only that his attack had missed and the deck suddenly felt very large and very hostile beneath his boots.

For the first time since the fight began, the laughter died in his throat.

This was not a battle turning against him.

This was a wall he had just smashed into, and it had not even moved.

Psycho P Durability = 46 vs Jade's Large Building Level attack
Result = DPR equal to dura: normal damage
Allowing Psycho P take hefty damage in his point blank strike from Jade

Landing lightly on the ground, Jade doesn't even look at Psycho P after hitting him; his body seems to take a second to realize it has been hit. He is sent flying backwards across the wood and bleeds drips from his mouth and nose, his sword clattering to the ground as he came to a stop and just tried to breathe.

Mad Treasure was seemingly unable to adjust himself so his attack just hits empty air where she was originally standing. The small girl was standing to his right, half-facing towards him. She looks up and meets his eyes as he recovers from his own attack, in her pupils wasn't strength/resolve or even pity but compassion & warmth; as if she was his friend or trying to help him rather than in a fight she was winning without barely trying. Jade's mouth turns from neutral to an innocent-looking smile, something that would usually be seen on a young child rather than the experienced warrior infront of the pirate captain but it also somehow didn't look out of place.

Then the air shifts and pressure seems to build around Jade as she moves the sword bigger than she is to her side
"Flowering Sword..." Starting her technique, the small girl slashes from her left upwards until she is past the right shoulder and then moves her sword back to the same position except on the side she is now on. Before the first slash had really materialized, she strikes again in the same manner; basically slashing so quick it creates a V "...Twin Thorns!". Due to her small size, she has to aim more upwards than anyone else would as otherwise she would just be attacking their legs. This gives Mad Treasure several precious seconds to react as the V-shaped sword-slash was targeting his upper chest; which was a fair distance from the Dwarf despite them not technically being far from eachother.

The large bird in the sky was now attacking the few remaining pirates on the large golden ship, a few Revolutionaries shouted at him to stop creating gusts of wind while they fight so he stopped and moved onto different targets. A single cannon was being fired at him but was coming nowhere close to hitting as Zazu was just too fast and agile in the air.

Sophie and Amy were mostly dealing with stragglers on the deck, any remaining invaders being either in small groups on the lower levels or the ones Jade was fighting. Both of them had glanced at their leader every now again since she had fallen from the air, just to make sure she had everything under control. Neither was too worried about her safety but even a high ranked and powerful individual like her could be caught off-guard when facing multiple enemies on their own.

Name: Flowering Sword: Twin Thorns (Twin Black Thorns with Haki)
DPR: C
Requirements: 21 mastery, 11 strength, 11 Movement Speed
Description: a high level two handed sword technique, two slashes that are done near instantly in a v shape
Strength= 81 (Large Building Level) + DPC C (+1)= City Block Level

I am fine with having the attack be less powerful so Mad Treasure doesn't take much damage if you want to @The Fool. This is the weakest Named Technique she can do so we can have it be D-Rank instead if you think he will be hurt too much.

Psycho P hit the deck hard.

For a heartbeat he was still, then his body gave up entirely. He collapsed in a wet sprawl, blood dripping from his mouth and nose onto the planks. His chest hitched once, twice, before his breathing turned shallow and ragged. The sword lay a short distance from his hand, untouched. Whatever fire had driven him forward was gone.

Naomi saw it and felt the cold sink in deeper. Her fingers tightened around the bow until they ached. That strike had not just beaten him, it had erased him from the fight. The gap between them and the enemy suddenly felt vast and impossible to cross.

Mad Treasure barely had time to process it.

His punch tore through empty air, chains whistling uselessly where Jade had been a moment before. The recoil twisted his balance just enough for him to feel it, that wrongness, that sense of being outpaced. When he turned, she was already there at his right, small and steady, half-facing him.

Their eyes met.

There was no triumph in her gaze. No contempt. Just warmth. Compassion. It hit him harder than any blow. His jaw clenched as something ugly stirred in his chest, a doubt he had not felt in a long time.

Then the air changed.

Pressure built around her as she drew that oversized blade to her side. He heard her voice, calm and clear, cutting through the noise of battle.

"Flowering Sword..."
She moved.

The slash came up and across, then another just as fast, the two strikes forming a sharp V that carved through the air towards his upper chest. The speed was unreal. Even so, her size betrayed her, forcing the attack higher and buying him precious seconds.

Mad Treasure reacted on instinct alone.

Chains flared as he shifted his weight and took the hit at an angle. The force slammed into him like a wall. Pain tore through his torso and rattled his bones, driving the breath from his lungs. He staggered, boots scraping across the deck, vision swimming as he fought to stay upright.

For a moment, he barely registered what had happened.

But he was still standing.

Naomi saw him endure it and felt a flicker of grim relief. If their captain could still move, then maybe this was not over. Not yet.

Mad Treasure straightened slowly, teeth bared, chains tightening around his arms as the pain settled into something dull and angry. The deck around them was thinning, the rest of the fight slipping away as his crew fell one by one.

Bleak did not even begin to cover it.

And yet, he laughed.

It was rough and strained, but real.

So that’s how it is,” he muttered, eyes locked on the small figure in front of him. “Still not enough to put me down.”

Even as the situation darkened by the second, Mad Treasure planted his feet and leaned forward, refusing to give ground. If this was where his confidence would shatter, then it would do so screaming.

Mad Treasure Durability = 58 (41-60: 3. Large Building Level)
Jade's DPR = City Block Level
Result = DPR 1 below dura: somewhat effective

Jade's attack was on target and would have done a lot of damage if she wasn't so "far away". The difference in size was enough that the large gap in power & speed was semi-negated and gave Mad Treasure an extra few seconds to react, if his opponent was even just a foot taller he probably wouldn't have time to respond before it hit him.

Her opponent didn't have time to think things through and had to rely on instinct, chains flaring as he took the hit at an angle.
The attack hit with such force it staggered him back and nearly made him fall over. The Dwarf watches him straighten back up and laugh, although it was devoid of any actual humour and sounded quite strained. He plants his feet and leaned forwards, still in the fight and refusing to give in despite having a taste of her true power.

While giving him a few more seconds to recover due to her personality, Jade notices how far the sun had gone across the sky and realizes they have spent too long on this skirmish. The Revolutionaries needed to be on their way as soon as possible if they were still going to make it to the rendezvous in time. She looks at the nearest members of her squad and gives them a signal by pointing her open palm at them and slowly closing it into a fist. The ones that were also looking at her quickly pick up what she means and tells the others. Although the pirates were losing before, they start to lose even faster as soon all the people under Jade's command know to defeat them as fast as possible; although they are still sure not to risk serious injuries.

The small girl turns her attention back to Mad Treasure and takes a few steps back while she brings her sword back up to her fighting stance
"Sorry but I'm not going to hold back anymore, we are running low on time and need to reach our destination soon. I would usually still ask if you want to surrender but I know what the answer will be due to our earlier talks so let's end this here and now." Jade wasn't going to leave anything to chance so prepares to do one of her strongest techniques, the chosen one also being one of the best ways for her to combat anything Mad Treasure's chains could counter with. Similar to when she did her last attack, pressure builds up around her but this was more intense than anything previously; even feeling like gravity itself had increased in a radius around the Warrant Officer. She starts slowly, moving her sword in a small circle infront of her with the blade pointing outwards. It picks up speed and then she shifts her feet and weight to do several complicated slashes that were so fast they leave a trail in the air itself and create a sort of pattern near her, but nowhere close to the pirate captain.

"Flowering Blade: White Rose!!!" As soon as the last word of her technique starts to echo around the Sea Pixie, her slashes intensify and the 'pattern' expands outwards as she moves forwards at great speed. Anyone watching from slightly above would see the attack is in the shape of a rose but all Mad Treasure will see is a force even stronger than the one he struggled with a few minutes earlier, Jade Belle and her blurring blade. Wood fractures a few seconds after her feet have taken another couple of steps and she is actually pushing off the floor so powerfully it rocks the entire ship.

Name: Flowering Blade: White Rose (Black Rose with Haki)
DPR: S
Requirements: 81 mastery, 81 strength, 61 movement speed
Description: doing a highly complicated quick series of sword slashes; creates a rose shaped slash that hits anyone with 5 metres
Strength= 81 (Large Building Level) + DPR S(+4)= 7. Mountain Level

Sidenote the description of this technique is very bareboned and I had to figure out how it might be done lol. When I get around to doing new techniques and adding them to my bio I will probably update the descriptions of ones like this

The hit should have caved him in.

Jade’s earlier strike had been true and devastating, and only the cruel difference in height and distance had given Mad Treasure those few stolen seconds to survive. Had she been taller, had she been closer, instinct would not have saved him.

He had not thought. He had simply turned and endured.

Chains flared as he angled his body, absorbing enough of the force to remain standing. Even so, the impact had thundered through him, boots carving into the deck as he staggered back. His laugh afterwards had been thin and strained, dragged out of him by stubborn pride rather than humour.

Now that pride was all he had left.

Naomi saw the way he swayed. Saw the blood at the edge of his mouth. Her fingers tightened around her bow as dread settled deep in her chest. Psycho P lay collapsed on the planks, barely conscious, blood pooling beneath his cheek, his sword far beyond reach.

The fight was collapsing around them.

Jade glanced at the sky as if noting the hour, then signalled her crew with a slow closing fist. The Revolutionaries reacted at once. Their movements sharpened, restraint gone. Pirates began falling faster, overwhelmed by opponents no longer holding back.

Mad Treasure felt the shift like a tide turning.

Then she faced him again.

"Sorry but I'm not going to hold back anymore,
The air grew heavy.

Pressure gathered around her, thicker than before, pressing against his skin and lungs. She began to move her sword in a small circle, slow at first, then faster, faster still. The space around her warped under each motion, faint trails marking where the blade had passed.

Mad Treasure tried to lift his arms.

They felt slow.

Too slow.

"Flowering Blade: White Rose!!!"
She vanished.

Not truly vanished. But to him, it might as well have been. One instant she stood before him, the next she was a blur tearing across the deck, wood exploding beneath her feet as the entire ship rocked from the force of her launch.

He saw nothing clear. No opening. No angle.

Only a blooming storm rushing towards him.

His chains did not even rise in time.

The impact swallowed him whole.

It was not a single strike but a cascade of them, layered so quickly they felt like one overwhelming force. His vision went white. The sound of splintering wood and tearing metal filled his ears as his body was lifted and hurled back.

Naomi cried out, though she did not remember doing so.

Psycho P forced his eyes open just in time to see his captain consumed by the blinding surge of motion.

When it ended, Mad Treasure hit the deck hard.

The chains around his arms fell slack, clattering uselessly against the wood.

He did not rise.

He was still breathing, barely. Each breath shallow and ragged, blood spreading beneath him in a dark stain. His body refused to answer him. Even pain felt distant, muffled beneath the ringing in his skull.

Naomi lowered her bow slowly, horror hollowing her out.

The golden ship no longer felt powerful. It felt fragile.

Mad Treasure’s eyes flickered open just enough to see the sky above. The sun had travelled further than he had realised.

A faint, broken breath escaped him.

So… this is how it ends…

This time, he did not try to stand.
