Jade Palace - The Great Vault
The prophecy. The two warriors, one wielding a blade of red and another of blue, with green of his own, stared each other down. Tai Lung, with the promise becoming the 'Dragon Warrior', had severed the line between the Spirit Realm and the Real World. From it, a centuries-dead warrior, General Kai, had stepped forth. It was said he was a fellow trainee with Master Oogway, turned wishful apprentice, back before the Void Century. A martial arts master who fell into ruin when he chased power. Power corrupted. Like the land and the room around them, the corruption took hold, birthed from the green aura of Kai.

Finally in front of one of the Apprentices of Oogway, bearer of the Prophecy, Kai could grasp the power. The ox asked the boy if he wanted to know the prophecy, what was on the Poneglyph. And so, Kai's voice filled the room.

[Kai] "The Prophecy speaks of two Apprentices of Master Oogway, each wielding a blade of legend. Their clash will sever the line between those alive or dead. An ancient evil will be unleashed, to consume all. An evil that'll infect the very land."
[Kai] "The Prophecy states that the Apprentice wielding Twilight's Edge, called Yūgure, will fell the Apprentice wielding Muramasa, called Takeuchi, and free the Spirit Realm. The ancient evil will be extinguished and the world will be saved. They who survive will be granted power unmatched."

Kai turned to the arch, now infected by the green. The burly ox looked at Twilight's Edge on his hands, glowing blue, before his gaze turned towards Muramasa, glowing red in Akira's hand. As if the prophecy traced the very moment they were in.

[Kai] "Master Oogway trained me centuries ago, until he ran away fro the quest of power. Master Oogway trained your mind at the lighthouse."
[Kai] "Do you see now, boy? You and I are the Apprentices! Today, each wielding the blades of legend, we shall clash! I shall defeat your evil and be granted power unmatched!!

With those words, Kai unleashed a burst of color of King's haki. A statement. The very room began to shake. Green tendrils began to overtake the room, as if infected by Kai. Tai Lung had pulled himself off the floor, in a fighting stance. The final fight would begin.

[Kai] "EVERYTHING HAS BEEN PRE-DETERMINED! EVEN YOUR DEATH!"

Humor me. The boy decides to listen to what Kai has to say, after all – there is no reason not to, perhaps with enough luck, Kai may babble something that became important to the fight ahead. And sure enough, Kai was willing to do so – perhaps from confidence that he could not lose. Here Kai would spoke about the prophecy, which upon their clash of swords from the apprentices between Muramasa and Twilight Edge would unleash an Evil.

Kai would make sure to identify the apprentices as himself and Akira, himself as the wielder of Twilight’s Edge and Akira as Takeuchi, the wielder of Muramasa. The mass of green mist which Kai is exuding became to overwhelm the world around them. A burst of Conqueror’s Haki came forth from Kai as he announces his plan for power, to defeat the evil that hounds Akira, or Oogway would put it the great evil that would infect the seas but in return, the fate that of Akira would be determined – for death is what awaits him at the end of the fight.

Tai Lung slowly slump into a fighting stance as they would ready into the final fight. The Haki would eventually pass through the arena and beyond, settling down. But Akira having thinking through his words quietly, suddenly laughed – despite what Kai said, the situation become somewhat ironic for the boy, and perhaps not even Kai nor Tai Lung realized the prophecy have a different meaning. The boy slowed his laughter, almost crazed – his free hand stretched across his face like a palm to contain his laughter. Before long, Akira’s laughter starts to slow down, his expression calms. Perhaps Kai is right, he is the apprentice Takeuchi would be prophesized to meet his end. That much, no one could defer otherwise from its narrative. The boy is named Takeuchi as his family name and he wields the Muramasa.

“I see! You the apprentice you say?”

The boy smiled as he looked upon them.

“You are right, perhaps I am the apprentice that you have been waiting for. But are you truly the apprentice?”

The boy’s smile became devious.

“Based on what you said, Tai Lung should be the apprentice. After all, he took upon Twilight’s Edge and release you into this world – the ancient evil. Perhaps he should be the one to attain the power, not you.”

The boy changed his demeanour, his facial expression almost instantly focused up, from a devious smile to a serious yet seemly frivolous expression. Was the boy right in his theory? Who cares. But whether or not both of them cares about Akira’s opinion doesn’t seem to matter at the very end. The boy understood that he would have to fight both and accepted the circumstances at hand. But his words carry meaning to those whom may interpret his words differently, specifically for Tai Lung, whom risk his life up till this point yet seemly achieve nothing for his own gain.

Could have Kai misspoke the prophecy that paints him as the apprentice? Perhaps all that this whole prophecy entails meant nothing. Oogway choose him for a particular reason. To trust in both blades. Words of the foreseen future, it is not what Akira could believe. But what Akira choose to believe is Oogway’s particular words. He should believe in both Muramasa and Twilight’s Edge, words that should not be taken seriously now that he understood the intention behind Muramasa’s bloodlust, or was it?

“Come. I will show you how wrong your prophecy is.”

The boy’s facial expression continued, exuding a strange calmness. He has not trusted in the blade he held – but now he would have to let Muramasa guide him. There was not hatred nor mistrust of the blade, Muramasa intended to fight Twilight’s Edge and perhaps that is what Oogway wanted – to believe in both swords and their intentions. And he believed in Oogway’s faith upon him. After all, Oogway’s words is opposite of Kai’s. Akira could not be the apprentice of Takeuchi in Kai's story.

Nothing can be gained from running away.

Humored. Quite literally. Kai's words, laced with the prophecy, drew the humor of the young boy, told to be Takeuchi, fate sealed. Power unleashed. Two apprentices to engage in battle. The line between the Spirit Realm and the Real World will hang in the balance. In the end, the one wielding Twilight's Edge, Yugure, will come out victorious. With that victory, power unmatched will be granted. Kai cackled. He said Akira was Takeuchi, making himself Yugure. Fate sealed. Akira could not be the apprentice of Takeuchi in Kai's story. Or so the boy thought. The Prophecy was up to interpretation - perhaps only Oogway truly knew, now gone. However, Kai believed in his interpretation to the end. The end was now.

Kai took a step, his hand grazed over Tai Lung. From his hand, green leech came, wrapping around Tai Lung's wounds. The tiger stood upright, as if given a second wind. Now, Akira faced off against two.

[Kai] "Speak what you wish. I told you before: 'that blade won't even touch me'."

A daring declaration. One Akira had heard before. There two sides were ready to engage, and things looked grim for Akira. But, before the two would launch, the door to the Vault blasted wide open. A terrible strong aura, matching Tai Lung, entered. A white streak appeared between Kai and Akira, holding a scroll. A scroll with the picture of the dragon.

Enter the trespasser.

Fluffy butt. Portly body. Uneven eyes. Staunch face. A large white panda appeared. The Panda had his back to Kai and pointed at Akira. He made comical kung fu noises, prompting Kai to look bewildered, as if having second-hand embarrassment. Tai Lung's mouth was wide at what he saw. A panda of all things acting like a kung fu master.

The newcomer's voice filled the room with portly comical tone.

[Po] "Evil Tai Lung! You shall not open the Vault! The Dragon Warrior is here to stop you!"
[Tai Lung] Uhhh. I'm over here..."

Comically, Po spun around, falling with a large thump, his fat legs caught on one another. Tai Lung focused his eyes and saw the scroll, before his voice roared.

[Tai Lung] "YOU! THE DRAGON SCROLL! YOU ARE NOT THE DRAGON WARRIOR! I AM!"
[Po] "Sorry, its hard to spin with all this weight. I hurried here to avenge my master, Master Shifu. You want this scroll, Tai Lung? Come get it..."

Tai Lung grit his teeth in anger. Po and Tai Lung got into position. Did Akira finally have an ally? Suddenly, Kai's voice interrupted the comical back-and-forth. With a step, the room shook. Kai launched himself towards Akira with anger.

[Kai] ENOUGH! TIME TO END THIS!"

The boy laughed. Of course, he could only interpret differently from Kai – truthfully he didn’t care if Tai Lung or Kai is the apprentice. Kai and Oogway’s story is different in terms of their interpretation, and as far as Akira is concerned, Oogway’s prophecy so far seems to be the original and then interpreted differently by others, or at least in regards to Kai and perhaps even Shifu. And with Oogway’s prophecy, he wanted Akira to do something, to balance her. Though Akira could conclude that the her refers to La Spada – after all the ancient malice that only Akira could assume to be. This time however, there is another way to think about it – the one of the sister swords. A balance between swords as seemly put by Kai and Tai Lung that would unleash the ancient malice that Oogway mentioned. From his observation – Kai is obviously the ancient malice from what he seen so far. Perhaps that is what Oogway is referring to, to deal with Kai. But at the same time, his original thought did not completely escape him. If La Spada is the malice, presuming the same logic where Akira is the apprentice of either one – who is the other apprentice?

The blade could not touch Kai, perhaps. Kai is the apprentice of Muramasa, thus the reason why the blade could not touch him, or rather – won’t. And perhaps the other blade is required, which as he believed – if he could not be the apprentice wielding Muramasa, then perhaps he have to be the other. Is that too much of a stretch? The method to dealing with Kai remains out of reach for Akira, for now. Several theories came into the boy’s mind. For now, the boy has to trust in Muramasa’s guidance, it’s all the boy can put the eggs into. Kai was ready to fight, as with Tai Lung whom seemly healed through the strange greenish power that Kai demonstrated. But before the fight could start, the door behind them blasted open. And through the door came a powerful aura followed by a streak of white coming between them.

Po arrived. A panda of strange origins, but a mink nonetheless. He would immediately point towards Akira, in a midst of confusion in which he would call him Tai Lung, prompting slight confusion but otherwise with no response – for Tai Lung would quickly come into correcting the panda. But in the midst of further chaos from the panda, Tai Lung screamed in anger – the word ‘Dragon Warrior’ came back. And before long they would enter into a scuffle. But for Kai, he seemly loses his patience. Anger came forth from him, something that surprised even Akira as the Ox sprang forth towards him with power. What made Kai angry? He went from confidence to sudden outburst of anger. Did the panda shown something that changed Kai? Akira wasn’t sure but the strange outburst even in such nonsensical situation that happened shouldn’t have affected anyone like this.

With Tai Lung and Po within their own bubble, it ensures that Akira would not face both of the same time, a stroke of luck perhaps – whether or not the panda remains an ally is yet to be seen but given his words, Akira should not have to worry much, though his words of avenging Shifu, though the boy knows naught of the name Shifu, the conclusion to be made in regards to the raccoon’s injury before is enough to make an educated guess. Worrisome, that the raccoon perhaps has succumb to his injuries. With Kai coming after Akira, the boy immediately jumped, having rested enough to fight – making use of his Zoan flight capabilities to allow him to maintain gliding over the skies.

Akira backed away, choosing to maintain distance. After all, he can’t harm him yet. The boy needs to find an opportunity and taking to the skies makes it easier for Akira to deal with a land-based opponent, in a sense.

OCC: Sorry for late reply Dx

Jade Palace - The Great Vault
The definition of an oddball rolled into the Vault. Comical, foolish, and clumsy, a large fat polar bear entered the fray. Holding an item that enraged Tai Lung, calling himself the Dragon Warrior, the tiger fell into a rage. Po was determined, intending to avenge Master Shifu's wounds. With a scared face, the polar bear engaged the tiger. Incredibly, though Po kept falling, his new age martial art was flawless, able to trade blows with Tai Lung evenly. The two went all around the room trading blows, Tai Lung screaming in frustration.

That was the background that quelled Kai's shout. He saw his fate in front of him. Kai would obtain it. It al began with the Apprentices death. Declaring that sword won't touch him, Kai dashed towards Akira. If the young boy would remember, those were the same words as the last time they met, where Akira's blade Muramasa passed through the ox, unable to cut him. The spirit from the Spirit Realm was more than just a threat. Could he really not be cut? Did the prophecy speak of this?

[Kai] "The skies won't protect you from me! This whole land is mine to control!"

Kai stopped his charge when he arrived beneath Akira. The ground that followed him was green. All this time, the green had been infecting the Vault. The statutes, the ground, the portal, the Poneglyph, and even pouting upwards to the sky like trees. The General made a motion upwards towards Akira with his arms. From it, supplemented by the green around him, erupted large pointed and bladed green tendrils. The human-sized tendrils shot out like arrows, aiming to impale Akira in multiple spots. To the Pterodatctyl, the tendrils would be a towering slew of tendrils, at least 2 dozen, that grew from the ground and extended, stayed connected to the earth. The tendrils had electricity, lacing the sky with charges, aiming to shock whom it touched. If the man attempted to fly away, the tendrils would follow. The sky would not be safe for long.

Kai's eyes glowed green. Twilights Edge pulsated blue as if trying to communicate with someone.

The boy took to the skies, backing off from Kai – yet the monstrous Ox possess superior Electro powers that seems to be even greater than what Akira have seen thus far. Perhaps the greatest Mink Akira has ever face. A slew of tendrils – electrifying green would extend towards the boy, following him wherever it goes. The boy is fast, but if not dealt with he would just be chased forever. But given the nature of his attack, it might be given that while Kai possessed greater versatility in his powers, such versatility that Kai displayed however may not be used for too long - Kai may not have that great of a stamina that he could do this forever. Though he could ultimately be using a different sort of power considering the greenness of this ‘infection’ that is spreading. Regardless of it, perhaps forcing Kai to utilize big moves to exhaust him might tilt the balance towards the boy, especially since the Ox’s emotions have been running from one end to another.

....

The boy have thoughts about it, in regards to the prophecy - if not Muramasa then the other blade would be the key to defeating Kai. But does he have time to figure everything out needed to stop Kai? Or he just have to pick his belief and go straight for it?

Further backing off, the boy spends several seconds in the air distancing himself from Kai’s attacks as Akira zigzags around in the skies before suddenly taking a nose dive closer to the ground and closer to Kai in an instant, the boy’s free arm suddenly transforms into a bigger wing – using partial transformation as he swung out the arm, generating an air blade through the bladed wings, coated in Haki, before swinging his other arm, untransformed to generate another air blade this time with Muramasa, coated in Haki as well. Aimed to chop away the root of the tendrils from Kai’s arms. While Muramasa may not truly harm Kai, there is a chance that an attack outside of that works, it would also aim towards the tendrils rather than Kai – allowing Akira to see the effects of both attacks onto Kai.

Name: Blade Wings (Passive)
Rank: B (True Hybrid) | A (Hybrid/Beast)
Description: When he is in his Human-Beast or Beast Form, Akira is able to use his Pteranodon wings like swords, allowing him to release powerful air blades by swinging them. These slash attacks can deal massive damage, and he can launch them in rapid succession. Akira is also capable of using the wings to attack normally, as the wings are both strong and durable enough to utilize it in melee. Doesn't stack rank bonus with other techniques using the bladed wings.
(Normal attacks: 41 Mastery, 41 Strength | 61 Mastery, 61 Strength)
(Air blades: 51 Mastery, 51 Strength | 71 Mastery, 71 Strength)

Akira's DPR: 6. City Level (121+, Zoans only) + A: +3 + CoA: +3 = 12. Large Continent Level

Name: Crescent Moon
Rank: C
Description: The user can generate an air blade with a swing of the sword. (31 Shuurin, 31 Strength)

Akira's DPR: 6. City Level (121+, Zoans only) + A: +3 (Sword Rank) + CoA: +3 = 12. Large Continent Level

Should the roots of the tendrils be chopped out, so will likely cause his technique to fall apart, though not everything would likely follow as planned, as Akira would back off to distance himself once more, never touching the ground.

Jade Palace - The Great Vault
The battle in the Vault continued with a perilous conundrum. That blade won't even touch me. Akira had seen it firsthand. He took to the skies. How could he defeat something he cannot hit? What would be the answer? The situation was even more troublesome when the ox could use those green tendrils that had overtaken the island, electrified, to its fullest extent. With an impressive display, near a few trees erupted and gave chase to the flying swordsman. The boy retorted, using a wind blade in an attempt to cute tendrils at the bottom. The boy was successful, allowing the tree that was just on Akira to fall, as if one cut a tree. The tendrils were able to be touched.

Some airblades slipped through and were to hit Kai, filled with haki. Much to an onlooker's surprised, the air blades slipped through his body, the same way Muramasa had passed through Kai in the Spirit World.

Without missing a beat, more tendrils erupted from the base. Where there was many, now there where more. What's more, the tendrils that had fallen were now around the ground, slithering.

[Kai] "You underestimate me, boy. Do you think that attack was to hit you? What do you think happens to air particles when they are electrified to such an extent?"

If Akira looked around him, blue crackling could be seen here and there. The tendrils carried such thick electricity, bound to the air particles by different electron charges, that an electric field was created all around Akira. There was no escape. The electricity was all around him in a ten meter radius. Suddenly, Kai swung Twilight's Edge, it crawling loudly with an enormous amount of Electro and haki. The offset charges triggered an explosion as it entered the electric field, carrying both will and lightning. An electric explosion that blotted to the sky, bringing even more charges to the area.

This was a true master of Electro.

[Kai] "Electro Style: Raijin's Wrath!"

Right before impact, time would freeze for Akira. A voice would sweep through the plains. A voice that seemed to come from within Akira's heart.

[Woman] “H-H-H-He is not the b-b-b-boy of p-p-pprophecy. H-H-H-He is… my son.”
Suddenly, the aura from Twilight's edge exploded. For that split moment, Akira may have fuzzy flashback of the darkest day of his life. Memories that could not be seen fully, only glimpses. Memories triggered by wanting. An aura that Akira had felt long ago - long repressed. An aura that embodied Twilight's Edge, calling out in the past that Akira was not the Boy of Prophecy. There was no mistaking it. Twilight's Edge was trying to communicate with Akira, her son.

The air blades thrown to hound Kai with its ferocity, for Akira to see what actually work and what doesn’t, like a puzzle needed to be solved. Kai remained untouchable however, though remained more or less expected, he would have been surprised if he has not attempted to strike Kai before. Yet the root of the greenish tree was cleanly cut off, though not before more of its tendril erupts from its freshly cut roots. But that’s not all, electricity conducted by its tendrils charged the air particles as crackling sounds could be heard all around – generating a field of electricity around the boy. Electro far beyond what he seen, that Kai could manipulated electricity to such degree even when they are no longer in contact. The boy back off, but the field of electricity surrounds him – preventing him from backing off too much.

Just then, Twilight’s Edge start to crackle in lightning as well, suddenly triggering an explosion around Akira, though the boy – fast enough to completely coat himself in Haki, aimed to reduce the damage. Yet right before the explosion would hit the boy, time would freeze as the blue blade’s aura exploded once more, followed by a female voice – somewhat familiar as if he has heard of it before. Memories of his past flashes through his mind like a
grainy flashback in black and white, but mostly glimpses of his past not fully shown.

W-Wha…

The boy’s thoughts were absolutely confused – but his split second decision from before to defend himself allowed him to greatly mitigate the electrical explosion, one that may otherwise cost him the fight and even his life. Yet the aura of warmth that Twilight’s Edge that Akira felt, familiarity yet the answer cannot be reached. But the words of the lady are important, a repressed memory. He knew those words, or rather – his heart does.

The boy of prophecy… son…

As the explosion slowly dissipates away in smoke, revealing a burnt body of Akira, charred – a powerful hit managed to land on the boy, and his injuries proves the power of Kai, though on the hand, him being alive at the same time proves the power of Akira as well. It wasn’t just Akira’s body is in pain. A sharp headache struck the boy, forcing him to drop to his knees, though not completely that despite the bloodied burnt body, Akira manage to held on to Muramasa, stabbed onto the ground to support himself, though his other hand – painfully pressed upon his skull, his head throbbing. A combination of damage and repressed memories – they are slowly but surely seeping in. The ones that Akira himself did not remember, glimpses of those memories – they are out of order, yet these memories are unseen till now.

Akira's Dura: 8. Island Level (121+, Zoans only) + CoA: +3 = 11. Small Continent Level
Result = DPR 1 higher than dura: quite effective

Trying to recompose himself the boy kept breathing loudly, the boy has seconds to think.

Her voice came from his past, in the island – that what he remembered, or rather believe he remembered. If that’s the case, who is the boy of prophecy? Kai and Shifu made note of the prophecies, but Shifu in particular made note of Yugure. But if that’s the case then Kai and Shifu’s words are contradictory. One spoke of him as the prophecy and the other of the apprentice. And those words came when Twilight’s Edge’s aura exploded, something about Twilight’s Edge, no about the soul in particular perhaps that Akira should know about but don’t. Not only was Kai invulnerable to Muramasa’s weapon, he is also invulnerable to an attack not fired by Muramasa. Two swords. Two apprentices. Untouchable.

Oogway said:
“Your mind is like the sea, my friend. When it is agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear.”
The boy almost smirks a little. The boy is losing. Smiling would be the last thing on his mind. Yet Oogway’s words hit him like a truck. He’s thinking too much.

The boy gave one deep breath before he slowly stood up from his kneeling position, no words are spoken, even if Kai were to speak or taunt – he would find no response. A quiet sense of calmness took over Akira, as if Akira found his answer.

Could he know what to do? Probably not. But the boy’s instinct came up to him. Even in the face of death. There is only one path he could take right now.

…..

The Electro master blew the boy out of the sky. A statement. This was no mere kung fu master. This was the master. Unparalleled Electro mastery, and the blade of legend. Indeed, even the prophecy seemed to forecast Kai’s victory. Emerging from a thick sphere of thunder, General Kai approached, Twilight’s Edge placed over his shoulder. The ox grinned, his green glowing by the second. The prophecy was just as predicted. In the cusp of what Kai considered his victory, the green and tendrils around them were witness to a change of age in this island. An apprentice was about to be cut down. The one who wielded Takeuchi was tone cut down by the one wielding Twilight’s Edge, just as foretold.

In the midst of the drama, a voice came to Akira: Master Oogway. Allow it to settle, and the answer will become clear. Covered in wounds and facing a foe he could not even touch, the boy’s mind raced. He was thinking too much. Feel. A feeling that would slap Akira in the face.

Muramasa squirmed. She pulled towards Twilight’s Edge. A chilling hateful roar came from the blade. Akira could not recognize it, but it was also familiar somehow. The hateful voice was familiar. If Akira would feel instead of think, he’d feel Muramasa’s hate was born out of fear. Fear for the blade born in blue.
[Kai] “Nghhhh! You bitch!!!”

Suddenly, Kai grunted in pain. The blade of legend on Kai’s shoulder suddenly jerked, aura prime. She would protect her son. A shallow cut appeared on Kai’s shoulder. The General roared with anger, making thick Electro surround the blade, forcing it into submission.

A feeling. A feeling Akira had felt before. One shrouded in the darkness he walked. Protection. Was it love? Twilight’s Edge called for Akira‘a warm embrace.
[Master Shifu] “The time has come, young apprentice. Which soul will you follow?”
Raising the blade into the sky, the tendrils all around the two rose up in a dome, covering the immediate area. There would be no darkness within. The electricity employed all this time pooled above them - all of it. The lightning above them was so thick, it formed a dragon of wind and haki, illuminating the inside of the dome. The dragon roared as it looked upon its prey. Like literal Thunder, the dragon came down.

[Kai] "One apprentice and his hate dies today. Begone… YOU AND OOGWAY’S LEGACY!!"

Would hate still cloud Akira’s feelings? Believe, my dear apprentice.

[Oogway] “Let them guide you through the hate. But first, you must believe. Believe, my dear apprentice.“

The boy has made up his mind, he would just have to go for it – while the boy isn’t actively sensing the auras of the blade, Muramasa squirming once more project the same feeling she has always been – Hatred, an active hatred struck against her twin. Things aren’t looking good for Akira, however on the other hand Kai grunted in pain as he cursed the sword, a small cut appeared on his shoulder. The first time Kai took damage. This of course did not escape the young boy’s eyes. He stopped thinking, or rather in essence he followed his instincts, and his instincts tells him something that felt logical. Kai applied Electro onto the sword, counter balancing the aura that emanates from Twilight’s Edge, the opposite of Akira as well whom did not force Muramasa into submission. A warmth feeling, from Twilight’s Edge came. Different. Complete opposite of Muramasa. He could feel something call him, from Twilight’s Edge. Familiarity yet strangeness, a feeling that someone like Akira could not understand, as he has not felt it before – the life of an orphan, or supposedly one.

The boy’s mind has quickly become clearer. The answer has been there – or rather his answer has been there. All that’s left is to reach for it. Kai started to amass more of his powers, creating a dome that envelops both. Then electricity came, shaped into a dragon that would illuminate the dome – aimed right at Akira the Electro attack roars before it would come crashing down onto him. The boy however, calmly as he did – spun around himself, Muramasa glowed red and in his vicinity the wind changes its direction, following the horizontal spin of the blade as a powerful tornado arise from Akira acting as a wind barrier of sorts.

The power of the tornado blocks itself against the powerful Electro attack but with its stronger force forced the dragon into submission, dissipating the attack along with the wind while the remaining strength of the tornado aims to cut Kai and the surrounding dome. Though the attack would unlikely to harm Kai, the powerful wind however may subject the Mink to its pressure. Regardless of which, the tornado would eventually dissipate away, leaving the Akira exactly where he would stand.

Calm. The boy offered no offensive – he could only look at Kai, logical of course considering he could not harm Kai. But his strange calmness may set Kai off as creepily strange.

“Oogway is right, things do get difficult to see when you are agitated.”

Was he talking about himself or was he referring to Kai? Or perhaps even both. But one thing is for sure, one of them has a greater hatred than the other right now. And whether or not Kai realize it – their roles are reversing.

“Your hate. I will receive it.”

The boy spoke with upmost confidence, despite his weakened self. He understood hate. He bathes in hate. His hatred for La Spada was all his life. Yet the boy made the realization. He saw himself in Kai, thanks to Oogway’s words, he could see part of himself within the Mink. And with the most unlikeliness of feelings, the boy pitied Kai. Is this how Akira acted? The boy quietly watched his opponent.

Jade Palace - The Great Vault
The dragon roared inside the dome, lighting the darkness, thick with electricity. Twilight's Edge called to Akira, awakening inside him something. Perhaps his true self. One not burdened with thoughts. Calm your mind. What would Akira see? Seeing his destiny within grasp, General Kai lowered his blade, causing the dragon to pounce to the boy beneath him. The result as catastrophic, blowing the dome away and destroying the green thickets surrounding them. When the mist settled, Akira was inside a circle, his gaze as thick with will.

General Kai stood bewildered. The attack had consumed him, but he could not be harmed. Yet, he felt a very mortal chill on his spine. The ox did the unthinkable: he took two steps back in apparent fear. The change within the boy did not go unnoticed. The legendary swords each had a particular reaction. From Muramasa, a voice blared.
[Voice] “Kuhahahahahaha!!!" KUHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!"

A deep dark voice echoed within the Great Vault. The voice was distorted: one could not tell if it was male, female, or human. Yet, one thing was clear: the voice was thick with hate. All this time, Muramasa had been in contravention with Akira, even thwarting his attacks, all while seeking to claim Twilight's Edge. It had never happened before. Perhaps it was Akira's behavior in the island, in contravention with his assassin. Now, his aura of bloodlust flared, and Muramasa drank it whole. The blade of legend was no longer squirming, no longer protesting. In fact, Akira could feel an aura extend from Muramasa, powering up the boy's spirit through bloodlust.

Twilight's Edge had her own reaction. The voice had calmed, no longer screaming. General Kai panted heavily as he gain composure once more.

[Kai] "This is preposterous! I have nothing to fear! The Prophecy is clear! You can't even touch me!"
The last, Kai said with a battle roar. Green tendrils came from his back. The large ox then stepped forward, breaking into a sprint towards Akira, Twilight's Edge in tow.

The calmness of Akira was such a surprise – one that even unnerve someone like Kai, whom felt perhaps something akin to facing the Grim Reaper itself. Kai took a step back. Fear. Yet perhaps not written across his face, but his actions led to the belief that Kai stopped to think for a moment. But in that moment of thought, a voice echoed from Muramasa, a laughter. Heinous and one full of hatred yet most importantly, the boy could recognize the laughter even if is distorted. But he cannot confirm his own suspicion – a laughter unique to his ears.

Similarly, the aura that emanates from Twilight’s Edge starts to silence herself, the fleeting feeling slowly overwhelmed by Muramasa’s will – feeding upon Akira’s feelings while empowering the boy’s spirit like a parasite. And then, Kai whom became agitated regained composure only to shout – for he has nothing to fear since he is invulnerable, Akira could not hurt him. And that is true, Akira could not hurt Kai, Muramasa would not harm Kai. But one thought that Tai Lung mentioned before, whether by mistake or by ignorance – become a focal point. Yet, Kai would engage in close quarter combats, or at the very least attempt to do so. Charging straight for Akira, Kai took an immediate path towards his target – yet the boy did not move, instead he would position himself towards the side, slightly facing away whilst wielding Muramasa with both hands, positioned horizontally behind Akira himself.

The boy chooses to stand his ground – his eyes stared at Kai with almost no emotion to it – Kai would more than likely sense Muramasa’s aura than Akira’s own. And now, the blades would likely meet once again.

The large ox stepped forward, dashing towards Akira, tendrils propping from his back, thick Electro surrounding him. Long-range had failed. They lived up to his reputation as the Apprentice, and more. His power was as rare as the zoan he possessed, ancient. Ancient power that dwelled within him and the blades of legend. A pterodactyl that lived long ago, perhaps when the prophecy was foretold.

The large ox roared as he cocked Twilight's Edge back, brimming with Electro. This electricity was not blue or white: it was green, mixed with the ox's King aura. The ox had something up his sleeve.

[Kai] "YOUR STRENGTH MEANS NOTHING IF YOU CANNOT TOUCH ME! I COME FROM THE SPIRIT WORLDI CANNOT BE HARMED!"
Upon reaching the boy, Kai swung his blade. This time, there would be no long-range attack. The electrified blade would aim to slice the boy from his left shoulder to his right hip. The Electro on his blade, contact or not, would explode outwards in a field of electricity. This one was different from Tai Lungs'. It would not do damming damage. More of a twitch in the muscles and not paralysis. Instead, similar to before, a field of electrodes surrounded them.

Muramasa savored and roared with a hate fr Twilight's Edge that could be tasted. Twilight's Edge was awoken once more, though calm, resolute. The time was finally now.

The boy prepared to deal with Kai, whom in his own anger charged rather recklessly towards him. Wielding with Twilight’s Edge on his hand, lightning brimming with greenish energy, coating the blade with his own will. Kai shouted, with absolute confidence that he would be untouchable, that Akira has no means to defeat him. However, the boy calmly watches – only that when Kai got completely close onto the boy that Akira moved – twisting his body forward with Muramasa in tow, towards Kai.

But at the end of his motion, the boy made perhaps the most shocking of move. Suddenly as Akira swung Muramasa, he lets go of the sword – not tossing away Muramasa, but almost gently did it, dropping the sword towards the floor.

A swordsman without a blade.

Kai would likely continue his attack regardless, considering he would have been in mid-swing. And with Akira, time would slow down to a crawl. His inner thoughts of everything so far he have learnt came rushing into his head.

Kai said:
"The Prophecy speaks of two Apprentices of Master Oogway, each wielding a blade of legend. Their clash will sever the line between those alive or dead. An ancient evil will be unleashed, to consume all. An evil that'll infect the very land."

"The Prophecy states that the Apprentice wielding Twilight's Edge, called Yūgure, will fell the Apprentice wielding Muramasa, called Takeuchi, and free the Spirit Realm. The ancient evil will be extinguished and the world will be saved. They who survive will be granted power unmatched."

The Prophecy.

Tai Lung said:
“Haaa… Haaa… I see. The Goddess does not follow your command. It seems you are not Muramasa’s true master, Takeuchi,”

Two blades, two apprentices. The prophecy is as such. One of them holds one of the sword. Muramasa with Akira, and Twilight's Edge and Kai. Yet Muramasa could not strike Kai, the only problem with the prophecy. Destined to fail as the villain to fell the hero. But Tai Lung and Kai's words has finally brought a whole new meaning.

Oogway said:
“Believe in Muramasa and his sister. Let them guide you through the hate. But first, you must believe. Believe, my dear apprentice.“
Kai said:
“Nghhhh! You bitch!!!”

A feeling. A warm embrace. The boy recalled just moments ago what happened with Twilight's Edge. The sword called out to him, but time did not gave him enough time to process his thoughts. Yet such feeling, and what transpired at that point left a powerful mark onto the boy's mind.

....

If Kai and Akira are the apprentices, and perhaps - their blades could not harm their master. Then there is only one answer left.

Shifu said:
“The time has come, young apprentice. Which soul will you follow?”

Yūgure

The boy took the call of Twilight's Edge. He casted away Muramasa. The blade of hatred. The warmth of the sword's aura that struck him. The boy accepted Twilight's Edge. Quite literally. Akira held confidence in his answer. Akira is not the apprentice that wields Muramasa. Kai is the true apprentice of Muramasa, which is why he could not be harmed with the blade. If the prophecy is true then Akira would have to be the apprentice that wields Yūgure. Only Twilight's Edge could harm Kai, because Kai isn't her master. A gambit that could easily cost him his life. But the boy believed. He has made his choice.

He believed that Twilight's Edge - No, Yūgure would heed his call.

The Prophecy would rear its head. The Boy Prophecy stood firm as General Kai attacked with Kingly might. Akira, one apprentice. Kai, the second apprentice, or so the ox boasted. If that were true, the natural question would be: which one were they? Would Takeuchi, the name adopted by a young boy, but not birthed with that name, be the answer to the riddle? Was Akira the apprentice whose legacy was Muramasa? Believing himself superior, one to cut down that name, Kai established himself as the heir for Yugure. Using an original mixture of aura, haki, and Electro, the General swung his sword, intent on cutting the young boy down. Kai expected Akira to clash with his blade, in fact, his strategy depended on it.

Yet, shockingly the blade would go unopposed. Akira dropped Muramasa, placing his faith on Twilight's Edge. A feeling. A feeling that would spell their fate.

Twilight's Edge did not cut Akira.

A voice from the blade echoed: from the boy’s memory. The blade edge stopped blue on skin.

[Woman] “FROM THIS DAY FORTH, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE HIM! I WILL MAKE SURE OF IT! HATE CANNOT DEFEAT LOVE!”
The blade did not cut. Similar to when Muramasa failed to cut Kai, Twilight's Edge failed to cut Akira. Instead, the attack, because of Electro, only sapped him of stamina, proportional to the attack. However, there was no physical damage. No boon on durability. No harm came. Kai's eyes could be seen wide in bewilderment, in complete disarray.

[Kai] "I-I-IMPOSSIBLEEE!!!!! T-T-THIS CANNOT BE!!!"
The bewildered eyes of Kai would witness the explosion that occurred after his words. Both of the fighter's aura intertwined and exploded in fury. Each fighter would be pushed back. If Akira paid attention through the clash, he'd notice that Kai also dropped his blade: though this one forced by the shout of Yugure. As Kai flew back, he managed to grabbed Muramasa from the ground, with no choice but to leave Twilight's Edge behind.

A reunion - a decade late.

General Kai slowly got up, breathing heavily. He had not been injured, but his psyche was broken. For the first time it dawned on him: perhaps he was the apprentice with Muramasa. The ox knew what that meant more than anyone. The Prophecy had already committed a winner of the Battle of Apprentices. The ox had shown anger before, but nothing else. He turned towards Akira, witnessing what the boy had become. For the first time in hundreds of years, Kai felt another emotion.

Fear.
[Kai] “No… I-If you’re… that means… you are…. the prophecy… NOOOOOO!!!”

Akira made his decision, it wasn’t just a mere decision based on his absolute confidence. His decision is a gambit – that his decision is right. One mistake and it would have been over. Yet the boy did not falter in that decision, with little to no hesitation.

And, he would succeed.

Twilight’s Edge would not cut Akira, the blade stopping at the boy’s skin – leaving not even a trace of injury only for Kai’s own burst of electricity to flow through the young boy, sapping away even more stamina with the amount of Electro the Ox managed to will into his attack. A voice echoed – a voice of a woman. A fleeting memory that stirs the heart of Akira. He is familiar with the voice. He has heard it before. Yet he has no recollection of when. The mind stirs. There could only be one point in time where he must have heard it. Yet his mind could only draw blanks at the moment. It would not be the time to figure it out, for the aura between both fighters generated a powerful force that blew them back, for Akira’s case his physicality strong enough to recover from it, only pushing him back several metres back. There he would see it; Kai no longer wields the Twilight’s Edge – instead perhaps due to being unarmed choose to pick up Muramasa as his weapon.

The Ox became somewhat distraught. His prophecy was correct. But the roles – they are reversed. Twilight’s Edge stood onto the floor, the blade stabbed onto the ground. With Muramasa now at the hands of Kai. The boy did the only logical move – sapped away of his strength and stamina – Akira’s gambit left him exhausted. But now, the prophecy is on its right tracks. The boy slowly walked forward towards Twilight’s Edge, his hand touches the hilt of the blue blade. A warmth struck the boy almost immediately. A flood of memory. Of his past. Further convincing the boy of what is going on. Almost gently lifting Twilight’s Edge from the ground the boy looked at Kai.

Fear. As Kai realize the meaning of it. The prophecy is reversed. And according to the prophecy he harped on, the one wielding Muramasa would fell. Which meant Kai’s demise is all but near. Huffing and puffing, the boy is tired – perhaps far more than Kai would have been. Unsure of how much energy the Ox has used so far. A fact still remains: one remained mostly uninjured while the other have been battered from fighting.

Huff….. For someone whom have been so close to Oogway, you have forgotten his words. Huff….”

The boy spoke, having knew how one with emotions can bring about lapse of judgement. Kai himself fell prey to his emotions, his mind is like the raging sea. Though he may not have known such a phrase by Oogway. The tides of battle have completely turned. Kai would have known this. If Twilight’s Edge could hurt him then his one single advantage in this whole course of battle is no more. The boy in his hybrid form continues to sustain his power, but he does not have much time. Akira have to end it soon before he ran out of stamina. The shock from Kai became a small opening, that Akira has to make use of before the Ox regained his composure fully.

Twilight’s Edge suddenly starts to glow in blue, a blackish blue smoke emanating from the blade itself. Haki is being coated upon to Twilight’s Edge. A strange phenomenon as if the soul of the blade, Yugure would flare up. But the boy, focused on the objectives have not realized the change.

In a flash, the boy suddenly performs a Soru-esque move. Rushing towards Kai in hopes of his emotions overtaking the Ox’s ability to respond well, in a split second the boy performed a flurry of skewering strikes, thirteen times simultaneously to be exact. Each movement firing an air blade straight towards Kai’s vital points.

The Great Vault
The Prophecy had been fulfilled. For the first time in a decade, since last they were separated, Akira and Yugure were reunited. When the young boy grabbed the blade it glowed a gentle blue. A warm sensation of a mother's love. When Akira poured its haki on it, the blade crackled with marron blue lightning, a combination of two wills. Akira was the wielder of Twilight's Edge, not Muramasa. Oogway's prophecy had been misinterpreted by General Kai. Perhaps his vague words made it so. Perhaps the interpretive nature of his words were deliberate. Perhaps it was part of the prophecy, to guide one to their fate.

Fear seeped into General Kai's soul. A kung fu master knows how much psyche affects the battle. The realization that Akira was the wielder of Twilight's Edge broke the ox. For hundreds of years, Kai had made plans based on his interpretation. But now, even he must accept what this reality meant. Akira looked fearsome, stalwart. General Kai shook in fear. Yet, he was a seasoned warrior. The ox stood up through his trauma, ready to engage. The ox saw the boy unleashing his powerful attack. The ox would meet to head-on. The power of the attack was more than Kai could likely handle - but he would not give up. General Kai lifted Muramasa and poured his haki Electro combination to the sword, as the attack came.

Suddenly, a few seconds before the clash, his aura, haki and Electro left Kai's body, absorbed by Muramasa. The blade pulled down, exposing Kai's body to the oncoming attack with a malevolent chuckle.

[Voice] "Kuhahahahaha...."
[Kai] "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, MURAMASA?! I MUST BE YOUR MASTER!!!"

Unopposed. Much like when Kai's attack hit Akira a moment ago, the force went unopposed. This time, however, the attack went unfiltered. Kai's body erupted in blood as the mass of air enveloped the large ox. Earthquakes erupted through the Great Vault. Master Shifu, Tigress, the Furious Five, and Vachir, whose prison army had just defeated the remnants outside, felt the whole area shake. A blue light erupted from the Great Vault, illuminating the valley. Those outside stood mesmerized by the light that glowed against their eyes, believing a prophecy fulfilled.

Once the blue light died down, General Kai could be seen face-up, body mangled. A testament his strength, the ox still lived. Even through his stamina had been drained by every attack, much like Akira in that last attack, the ox still breathed. He lay defeated. Green light began to make his body disappear from the bottom up. The green light would slowly inch towards the pillars that divided the Sprit World and this world, newly opened by the blue light from Twilight's Edge. Now perhaps Akira would realize; Kai was a soul all along. As his soul drifted, General Kai looked towards Akira, eyes watering.

[Kai] "It isn't fair, you know. Oogway and I fought side-by-side. Until he betrayed me. Left our quest for power for his stupid prophecies. Did he know all along how it would end? Is he laughing at me now? Muramasa would not listen to me. If I'm not the apprentice of Muramasa, who is...?"
[Kai] "Oogway and his cursed calm. Oogway and his cursed feelings. Tell me, boy. Do you feel it within you? Who is Muramasa's true wielder?"

General Kai cried as he spoke. His whole life, centuries, he had believed one thing. Now, he had been proven wrong. His mind was shuffled. He spoke of Oogway lovingly, like a best friend who betrayed him. General Kai lusted for power. Oogway wished for peace. Two contradicting ideologies that could not stand side by side. That last question posed to Akira would be significant. General Kai's soul would not know peace until he knew. What would Akira's calm mind feel?

The curtain had begun to fall. Many questions lingered.

The boy struck with ferocity, and he would aim to take down Kai before he could recover – yet the Ox, battle-hardened accepted reality and regained his composure. It is his only choice after all. Electro and will pours into Muramasa, the incoming attack he would have to deal with it. No matter the case Kai would deem to survive, for it is not over yet.

And yet, fate would not allow it.

Muramasa would suddenly absorb all of Kai’s powers just as the two were about to clash. The blade forced Kai into a position of vulnerability, there is no escape. In just mere seconds, the thirteen strikes from Akira, air blades pierce through Kai’s body like butter – causing blood to erupt from every orifice. A mass of air envelops Kai, following a series of sudden earthquakes that would shake the very island that they stood on. The boy, strong as it is maintaining his stability, balancing himself from the very cracks that appears in the vault. A blue light would fire through into the sky like a beam of light, illuminating the island in vibrant blue – though in which Akira himself wasn’t able to observe such spectacle. As the blue light died down, Kai could only be seen upon the floor, barely alive, or rather – not enough to completely kill him off instantly. A testament to the strength of the Mink. The green light that normally surrounds Kai would start to dissipate away, fluttering gently back to the pillars that opened up.

Here, the boy may not have fully notice the soul-like properties that now shows in full display, but at the very least – he knows Kai isn’t normal in a sense. A ghost. One may consider. A soul. Kai’s eyes would become watery as he returns to the Spirit Realm, or Akira could only presume to wherever he came from, this time with no power at his beck and call. The solemn tone in which Kai would speak – perhaps his ‘death’ would release all the tensions and emotions that he would bottle up. A regret, yet in some of his words carry resentment towards Oogway. Perhaps a lack of communication between friends that ended up like this. But Kai wasn’t ready to go yet, not till he would receive his answer. In tears, the Ox needed to know – who is the master of Muramasa?

The boy wasn’t sure at first, his thoughts cling to this prophecy that everyone spoke of. But what happen just before the clash was the same that Twilight’s Edge did to Kai. The Ox isn’t the one as well. The boy could only kneel down beside Kai in one knee. His eyes closed for a moment. Then he would open up slowly.

Oogway said:
“You see, my boy, not just the island’s fate stands, but the whole ocean. Ancient Malice. Will you balance her out?
Of course.

Akira and Muramasa, they did not chance upon each other by coincidence. The boy remembered his past vividly. La Spada gave him Muramasa. How could he forget something so important? Memories starts to flood into the boy even more vividly. And not only that, the words that came from Twilight’s Edge. He vaguely recalls such words, yet he could not recognize the person. After all, the boy fainted at one point – yet outside stimuli still reach his ears, his mind. Something happened when Akira fell unconscious back then. But no such memory could be retrieved.

Oogway never talked about Kai. Kai isn’t a her. This prophecy – is about La Spada and Akira. The ancient malice, Akira knew Oogway must have been referring to La Spada to a certain extent, but he did not expect it to be such an extent. This meant that La Spada have come to the Valley at least once before.

Pain. His memory hurts the boy’s emotions, his feelings. A terrible past that the boy tried his hardest to forget, to ignore. He would only channel his hatred to defeat La Spada once and for all. But even the boy has seen what hatred is. Here he seen the effects of Kai, his hatred, his anger. All that reminds Akira of La Spada.

Muramasa. The soul within her, is it truly the soul called ‘Kurai Takeuchi’? The boy wasn’t sure now. the bone chilling chuckle that haunts even someone like Akira whom should have been well-accustomed to. Some questions have been answered, but not all of them. Without a clearer look at the history even Akira cannot tell. But alas, all these thinking came only to one foregone conclusion. The boy finally spoke, whether to let Kai knew the answer so he could be relief of some burden, or merely to mock him – is up to Kai’s own feelings. Yet the boy calmly responded. There is no malice nor lies in his words.

“…. La Spada. The Grim Reaper herself.”

The Great Vault
The Great General Kai had fallen. The blue light signaled the end. Many believed the prophecy had been fulfilled. However, it was clear Kai was not the wielder of Muramasa - it rejected the ox. The soul inside the blade was as malevolent as it was ruthless. His soul and mind broken. The ox asked a question, receiving an answer from Akira. "La Spada. The Grim Reaper herself." The ox chuckled, shaking his head. A fitting Apprentice of hate, that which called the Grim. An infamous woman of death. Who else would be better to bear the name of Takeuchi? General Kai's soul returned to the pillar, the middle ground between the Spirit World and this world. The soul reappeared at the pillar, yet clung on. General Kai stumbled, before being caught by a golden light.

Behind Akira, Master Shifu limped into the room with the help of Tigress. Po had Tai Lung pinned down with his huge butt, the tiger defeated. Master Shifu glanced at Po before turning to the golden light that grabbed Kai. The old tanuki widened his eyes.
[Master Shifu] "Master Oogway!"

The golden light took form, much like Kai. It formed the semblance Master Oogway, the same way Akira had seen the old tortoise last. General Kai looked up, seeing the gentle smile of the tortoise. General Kai's eyes watered as he looked down, not accepting his destiny - regret in his voice.

[Kai] "To be nothing. That's my destiny? To not be a part of the Prophecy. I was not even able to save my island. Our dream, Oogie, was it really folly?"
Master Oogway grabbed Kai and pulled him up until he was standing. The old tortoise used his staff to lift Kai's head up. With that gentle assuring smile, Oogway spoke. Spoke words that cut deeper than any sword.

[Master Oogway] "You misunderstand, Kai-san. You did save our island. Our world. Not as an Apprentice, but as a Sensei. In your own way, you taught the boy more than anyone else. Were it not for your teachings, the ones bearing the Prophecy would not be reunited, and our world lost."
[Master Oogway] "Rest, Kai-san. The Great Sensei of the Apprentices."

General Kai's eyes widened to the words. His mind raced. He thought back to the words he told Akira through their battle. The emotions he showed. The actions he took that forced Akira and Twilight's Edge to come together. Akira had calmed his mind, followed his emotions, and reunited with the blade of legend, because of Kai. The ox took a deep breath, letting go of the hate, the fear, and the regret. For the first time in centuries, Kai was at peace.

Suddenly, Kai's soul began to disintegrate completely, passing over to the Spirit World for good. His words filled the room, as his gentle aura of acceptance swept the Vault.

[Kai] "Thank you, old friend. I look forward to training with you again."

Master Oogway nodded as Kai passed over. The old tortoise turned to Akira and looked him and down, as if seeing a new boy than the one he had seen last in the lighthouse.

Master Oogway would stay for a few minutes. What would be Akira's first question?

His answer given to the Ox, another entity – one that bears a great hatred more than anyone one could think of. Instead, Kai chuckled in response, perhaps the absurdity of such infamous being as the apprentice may or may not been likely. But regardless of his answer, that is what Akira truly believed. Things are somewhat making sense in terms of the prophecy so far. Soon however, Kai’s soul would finally return to whence it came, but it would only take a few mere moments before it would reappear as a golden light cast upon him. Soon, the results of Po and Tai Lung became clear, the panda managed to defeat Tai Lung that even the boy forgotten momentarily, a rather impressive feat to do so by Po. Behind him however came to be Shifu as well as Tigress. Shifu would quickly shouted, calling out for Oogway as the golden light took shape – transforming into the tortoise he knew.

Beneath Akira however, a surprise turns of events. He would not expect more to gather, and in particularly – Oogway to reappear once more. Though perhaps with the Spirit Realm opened up, it became more logical that this should been more expected. The boy’s body starts to transform, or rather de-transform as his Zoan form would disappear, reverting to his human self, though his clothing is mostly tattered, what only a fair few bandages kept parts of his face concealed. With the reversion comes with a huge amount of pain, exhaustion that immediately builds up. The boy’s breathing has become a lot harder and louder. Pain inflicted upon his body tenfold. But the boy kept his cool, watching as Kai and Oogway converse – much like friends. And perhaps in death, one may truly understand to let go of their resentment. Despite the dangers that Kai has posed to the Valley, Oogway managed to bring out positivity to his actions – that Kai’s action led to the prophecy that would eventually come true. And those words allowed Kai to find meaning in his actions, and perhaps his life in retrospect. As the Ox starts to disintegrate fully, all that’s left is Oogway whom know looks upon the boy.

There are many questions to be had. After all, only Oogway as far as the boy is concerned has the answers. And this time perhaps there will be enough time to acquire all his answers that he need. Taking a couple of steps forward, Akira would pick up Muramasa – whether or not the sword would find repulsive did not matter, he originally wielded Muramasa – which may have been intended by her. As he did, he would pierce the ground with Muramasa gently in front of Oogway. The boy would pose his first question.

“Tell me. What is the truth with Muramasa and Twilight’s Edge? Who are they?”

Akira asked. He needed to know, the history behind those swords, the souls that inhabited them. The apprentices. The boy needed to know everything. But most importantly.

“Why me?”
