The two men had come to an agreement all that was left was to act it out. With a firm handshake, the deal was struck while Kallavan had asked the man a rather important question. At least in regards to himself. Thors would lay out a chuckle, thinking he was just told a plain old joke. Bluelanders were indeed a strange and curious folk, but devil fruits did not accept borders. In more secluded regions like Wano they were disguised as sorcery or 'Jutsus'. In these lands, they were either not found or eaten yet or they had a different term for them. Whatever it was, Kallavan would also chuckle before starting his explanation.

" As I figured. You people have yet to discover them. These creations are all-encompassing to our world. It can take any shape and size but it always looks like a fruit. It tastes vile and once you've eaten one of them they grant you a random power, be it terrifying or bizarre. I shall give a demonstration. For it'll come up regardless and I'd rather show it here than when our allies flee in panic for a monster." Kallavan said, giving a quick overview of these so-called devil fruits.

Once he had done so the man took a look around him to observe the hut he was in and the furniture that stood around him. Quickly came to the conclusion that a full transformation or his hybrid form would damage his surroundings. With that, the man would go with a partial form. Kallavan would roll up the sleeve at his right arm, showing it without clothing covering it. And if Thors would observe, a transformation unlike anything he had ever seen before would take place.

The marine's right arm would slowly completely shift in colour, going from a slightly tan skin to a completely dark green one. His skin resembled more and more that of a reptile. Even the man's nails extended giving him natural fangs to be used as a weapon. And when Thors would look up at Kallavan he'd see the man's normal regular face but his eyes were replaced with deep orange colour as his pupil went from a sphere-like shape to a slit one. In that instance but for a split second Thors would've caught a glimpse of the power the marine was hiding. It was a form of strength not far away from his own. A first most likely for the pacifist Thors. Then after showing these two types Kallavan finally spoke. " It is but a small demonstration for I'm afraid the full one would destroy this building. What I've eaten is a zoan type devil fruit, it bestows the power of beasts to the one that has eaten it. It can range from dogs all the way to mythical beings like a phoenix as an example." Kallavan said as he had kept his sanity what many unknown to this power fear initially. His body would soon afterwards revert back to the form Thors was accustomed to.

"It is but one of 3 types and depending on who you ask it is the weakest of the 3. But that's up for debate in my honest opinion. This power, however, comes at a cost. A very grave one for our seafaring nation." The marine would say as he took a deep breath while forcing a cough, trying to hide his shame for what came next.

"I'm useless underwater. Like a hammer dropped into the ocean, I shall sink until death takes me or a fortunate soul saves me."

Thors had a good chuckle when he heard the term "Devil Fruit". For him, it signifies a childish remark for some sort of sorcery. However, when he saw the look on Kallavan's face, it was not somber but he was seriously talking about it. It caught his attention. He lent his ears. And when he heard his latter statement, "I shall give a demonstration....", Thors felt the sincerity behind those words. Or perhaps, the determination to impose his own power and retribution. And with those insights, the former captain of Jomsvikings channeled his advanced instinct, activating his technique called 'Allfather's Sight'. It is a technique equally attributed to advanced Observation Haki, the Future Sight.

As he faced the admiral, he saw a little bit into the future and was beyond surprised at what he encountered even before Kallavan's transformation. Thors was indeed a fearless warrior but witnessing such a bizarre outlook and a transformation of a fine soldier into a breed of ancient creature made his pupils narrow and seemed to flee from the expanding whites of his eyes. But all these shocks was but brief. He regained his composure. He rolled his right fingers into angry knuckles. And his left arm gestured at the elder and Arin to stay calm, albeit, it would be really hard to acknowledge.

The transformation began. The marine displayed such magical enactment of this power called Devil Fruit and partly convert himself into something else. Arin, a man of kitchen and farming is not a hostile being, skid backward when he saw the stranger became even more strange. The elder was in awe and shock. Sweats fall down his cheeks. Thors would notice. "Elder, please. Keep calm."

And when the transformation has concluded, Kallavan would start to reason once more. This became the trigger for the elder to finally regain his sanity over what he saw.

"A small demonstration, you said? I honor your politeness not to render the elder's dwelling useless. Too much for a small demonstration."

Thors scratch his nape with his right hand as Kallavan explained his ability and the likes. "Just now, you just became similar to a race called Reptilia. And you're right, I guess I kind of get it why it was called Devil Fruit for there's a curse behind that source of power. I am not going to try to ridicule you, Kallavan, but don't you slow me down when the depths of the Nordic Sea call you down."

Thors said as he turned his back at Kallavan and headed outside. "Prepare yourself young marine. And brief your troops. For tomorrow, we sail across the sea."

And before he finally left, he uttered, as if not yet getting over with what he saw, "Devil Fruit huh. Hehe."

Kallavan had shown his little demonstration to both Thors and the others. The elder's fearful reaction was a given, the marine expected as such. But Thor's reaction surprised him a little, he remained calm and collected. Even giving ease to the other's fears as if he had seen what took place before it happened. Curious, Kallavan thought to himself. "My apologies Elder. But it was necessary for me to show it here. My crew is aware of this ability but not Thor's. I fear what would've happened if I changed on the battlefield. The last thing I want is us fighting amongst ourselves." Kallavan said, apologizing but also stating his reasons. Afterwards, he'd glance his eyes on Thors listening to the man's own reaction. "I've got ways around it, you don't have to worry about me." He'd say with confidence in his own abilities.

The marine would afterwards walk towards the outside and with a nod agreed to meet tomorrow to set sail.

Kallavan would move back towards his ship and briefed his crew, telling them what had happened within the house and also the background of these islands. The remainder of the day and night they'd take a headcount of their supplies and prepared the ship for combat. Kallavan would be outside looking at the bright night sky, counting the innumerable stars that filled it. It'd ease his burning desire for power and test his limits. Kanda was a few meters away from him, practising his sword drills while Trevor was down below increasing the men's morale with drinks and dumb tales, it was a jolly affair for many bursts of laughter could be heard from even up top. Everyone was doing their own thing to ease the tension of what would come tomorrow. While many had tension they didn't show fear for the danger that was ahead for they had seen it many times. Moments were all hope seemed lost but with the two officers and the Admiral at the top, no threat seemed too big for them to tackle. They'd even dare ask if the Vikings and Saxon's were ready for Kallavan for his combat readiness had never been higher than today.

Eventually, the next day came and gone was the relaxed and easygoing nature of this marine vessel. Everyone was up and ready. Even Trevor the jester within the ship was up in the morning, armed and ready to go. With his arms crossed and leaning against one of the masts, he awaited their departure. Kanda, Kallavan's second in command, stood next to his superior at the front of the ship. The crew was ready now they awaited for Thor's to arrive. Would he join on his own or would someone join him on this adventure?

The Gjallarhorn would rally these men and strike fear to those they came for.

Onward to Vinlandia

5 AM in Icelandia, 10 locals would board a single boat in the port about 2 meters wide and 8 meters long. When you look at it from a distance, you wouldn't recognize that something is off with the way it was built.

"What is wrong with his oar?", another local said.
Arin: "That's Thors'."
Local: "I know that it's his, but is he alone on the other side? Does he plan to-"
Elder: "Yes he is. He is that strong to row the other side of the boat on his own."

Thors would look around trying to find where his son is but he couldn't locate him. He would then turn to his wife. "Please tell him that I shall return. He doesn't need to worry about me."

Helga looked at him sincerely but there lied sorrow in her eyes. What that might mean at that certain point in time remained a mystery. All she knew was, "I love you, my love. Please be careful."

Thors' nod in response. The way he looked into his wife's eyes was much more mysterious than it was before.

The Norse Gods bestowed ideal weather to the sons of Odin. The ocean was in perfect condition. The 10 men that joined him on this venture were all agitated. Perhaps, the excitement that lies into their sleeping veins of ancient warriors propagated in all directions of the compass. Thors would look around for one last time, searching for his marine acquaintance which he expected would be up early as well.

"Vice Admiral Kallavan and your fellow soldiers of the sea, this may be the battle that will put us all in grave danger. But should we triumph this war, eternal peace will be in hand. May Odin and his sons guide us."

He would start to row the oar with one big pull inwards and form an arc. "Soldiers! Onward to Vinlandia!"

"You all have 30 hours to back out. But should everyone aboard this boat and that ship have rested their fate to moral code, I have your back."

The day to set sail had finally arrived. Kallavan and his crew had been hard at work to make sure everything and everyone was ready for this adventure. The Admiral himself stood at the front of the ship, like he so often did, and observed the small vessel Thors had chosen. Compared to his own navy one. It was an odd sight if these two vessels would sail side by side. If he knew beforehand Kallavan would've offered him to join his frigate. But it was far too late for that. He had gotten to know the man as Thors a little bit and knew that he would not accept it. For it took him a long time to even accept this help from Kallavan. No. He wouldn't try to poke at his pride once more. How silly it would seem. Kallavan respected the man that much. Especially when he saw that the man would take the entire left side for his own to row. It sparked emotions of disbelief in the locals. But Kallavan knew this would hardly break a sweat upon the man's brow.

"How about that. Why don't you try that one of these days?" Trevor said with glee as he moved next to Kallavan.
"Could you imagine the size of our oar if we made it to scale with our vessel? It'd be the size of a small house. Looking at the weight it would most certain-."
"I'm joking Chief..." Trevor said cutting the man short. Having forgotten his inability to perceive humour or perhaps oblivious by it.

Kallavan would sigh which in turn would prompt Trevor to give out a heartful chuckle. He liked to tease his captain every now and then. And for some odd reason, he was the only one who could do so. If another would try it they'd feel the Admiral's wrath. But Trevor always got away with it. To the displeasure of some within the crew. Kanda in particular found it appaling. But the two shared an adventure most grand which established a bond that blurred the line of hierarchy. That much was plain to see.

Trevor would take his leave and allowed his Admiral to his duty to oversee once more. Casting his gaze Kallavan would meet that of Thors. The time to move was at hand. " We're ready when you are Thors of Icelandia." Kallavan replied with a nod and turned around to face his own crew.

" Prepare for departure! Helmsman, Navigator. Keep our speeds tied to Thor's vessel. He is our guide. We must not lose him in this vast ocean."
"Aye Aye "
"Aye Aye "

Thors boat would set off while Kallavan and his crew awaited for it to take up speed and momentum. Afterwards they'd drop one of their sails and proceeded to follow Thors and his crew.

Into the Storm

Hours have passed and the night has come, darker each time Thors' boat was smoothly dancing in the surface of the ocean's wild waves and underneath the foreign skies. The Nordic Sea breeze kept telling them that the weather wasn't in their favor; it was cruel yet well-calculated. There were annoyingly a massive number of clouds blocking the moonlight and not a single seagull tried to mesmerize them. Rains. It suddenly poured down to earth, adding hustles to the sailor. And in a matter of minutes, a hurricane emerged out of the darkness! The fully-rigged marine ship and the Icelandic vessel would encounter a taste of an act of god. To top that, hails spread across the seas.

"This is not good, Thors!", said one of the soldiers to him as the latter kept on rowing the boat with his huge oar. He looked at the sky; he knew its danger. He would turn to Kallavan's vessel, signaling to reef the sails further so it wouldn't be caught in the wind. They die if they wouldn't.

The rough touches of waves on the wooden sides of the vessel granted a melodic cry as the deck of it rattled every time it danced with it, swinging left and right in an attempt to outmaneuver the climate. Swirling into their ears were the alto whistles of the ocean gales, testing the strength of both masts and sails. The lone sail, white and bold, fluttered heavily every time the mixture of rain and wind blew it. "Reef the sail!!!" He ordered his minions. An order indirectly conveyed to the marines, too.

As the ship played with the wind, some Navy should run astern and aft and tossing themselves upwards and everywhere. These were men in action. If they are skilled enough, those who do the riggings should go to the mainmast, locking it before pulling themselves upwards. Running onto the yards, they should begin to slack the mainsails. Some others should do the same to the other pole while the other crews who had lesser experience in sailings, particularly the fighters should use the ratlines to crawl up. When they reached the top, the other crew should swing out around the top while the rest would take the safer passage through the lubber hole inside. When they reached the yard, the men would spread out along the yard using the foot ropes for support. They should think of dropping the anchors for added support. Let the ship hold into the waters while it last.

Thors, on the other hand, continued to attend to the jib sail, countering the mad ocean's gales. He then tried to reduce the strain and motion by pointing one of the ship's ends toward the waves. Having been able to secure their position, they held onto it while trying to sail slowly. Men were restless. Clinging onto the tempest. They hold on to the ropes and bars as hard as they could. Their lives depended on it.

An hour has passed and the storm vanished like a fart in the storm. The anchor was pulled back in. The lone sail was pulled in tight, and the boom is centered down the centerline of the boat. The curve of the sails resembled the shape of an airplane’s wing, generating lift—a force that, in combination with the effect of the keel, results in the ship being pulled forward. "We sail at full speed!! It's the sun over the Valhalla!"

As the sail was being attended to, other men, dropped the butts against the deck. Others held onto their knees, panting heavily. Others were catching breath from the sky as their heads were held up. Thors, still standing up looked around, still manly, though panting heavily. "Huff. Huff. Huff."

When the mist went away with the tempest, a clear abstract of terrain emerged before their very eyes. A land they would call.

"Vice-Admiral Kallavan!!! We landed."

Kallavan had anticipated rough weather in this land but that it'd shift so quickly and so violently was unseen. Even to the experienced commander, the new world had plenty of tricks in store for him.

"Quickly! Raise the sails, this weather is incredible!" - The navigator shouted from the other end of the vessel. Kallavan was just enough in earshot to hear her orders.
"On me everyone! Kanda, Trevor. We must raise these sails quickly!" Kallavan said moving with haste as his officers followed his commands.

With a team effort, the Marines had managed to raise all of their massive sails under dire circumstances. It wasn't an easy feat. The ship would rock left and right violently, unable to bear the might of nature's waves. It'd take most of the experienced crew to keep their footing. Those unable to front nature's wild tendencies retreated back below deck.

Together with Kallavan and his officers, the crew's most experienced sailors would work around the ship like clock work. Locking the mainmast as it'd allow them to crawl upwards. Kallavan and the others would use the ratlines to keep themselves locked in place and move in case it was necessary. "Sir I'd suggest we drop the anchors. This weather is unnatural!!" One of the sailors would shout at the top of his lungs. The gales and pouring rain nearly silenced the man. Kallavan himself, using his arms to shield his eyes, could barely hear the man. But he heard enough to make an assumption. " Do what you must, private! I trust in your judgement!" Kallavan shouted back, the weather still as violent as ever. The sailor/private acknowledged and quickly went to work with a few of his men.

After an hour the storm vanished nearly instantly. Taking its chaos and desperation with it. It wouldn't take long before everyone noticed this instant shift and so they'd work yet again. But this time to undo their precautions. They had to keep up with Thors and the others who were more in their element than the marines. A given since this was their lands. "To work everyone, Kanda, Trevor. Aid in raising the anchor! I'll help lower the sails!"

Everyone would reply and acknowledge the man's orders almost immediately and in sync. Kallavan's crew wasn't the most experienced crew in the navy. But their teamwork and chemistry were nothing short of amazing. Everyone knew what to do and when to do it. They simply lacked the experience to allow them to reach adaptability. But even that wouldn't take too much time.

The ship would move in pursuit of Thors after a short while. Its massive sails and size allowed them to close the distance rather quickly. Thors' shouting would eventually reach Kallavan and his crew. A sigh of relief echoed throughout the vessel as the weight fell off their shoulders. Kallavan, however, did not participate in this feeling of relief. He knew. He knew that the hard part hadn't even started yet. His gaze locked onto the land that loomed over the horizon.

Port, Southwest of Vinlandia

Icelandic, I will let you row the boat until we go ashore.

As soon as Thors' fellow Icelandic heard that, 5 from the selection quickly attended to the paddle, struggling but they kept going. Thors is now standing at the bow his arms crossed, looking fiercely at the nearby port. A handful of memories kept rolling back in his head. Back when he was still a ruthless warrior. A memory of his most trusted friend was one of those thoughts he has right now and after several seconds of thinking about him, suddenly, the wind whistled as a fast-approaching spear heads its way. And when Thors took a closer look, he saw one of his men being shot in the face with the same spear before it actually happen.

And so it unfold, a spear was thrown by a certain someone back in the port and blitzed Thors' boat. But since he was able to foresee a little into the future, he rushed in front of his man rowing the vessel, ducked, his left leg on his rear. His right arm held momentarily against his right hip, timing the arrival of the spear. When it finally reached the gap, Thors' made a swift leftward twist of his hip before quickly raising his right arm, pushing his right fist against the momentum of the blitzing spear, breaking its velocity and force. Rising up, he looked at the port. Whom he saw was the same person he had just been thinking of a while ago.

"Thorkell..."

"Hmmm. It wouldn't be Thors if he wasn't able to see that.", Thorkell said as he turned to his men, "Prepare for the arrival of your old Captain and whoever it is that he brought with him."

The marine vessel was still approaching, afloat the Nordic Sea. Manning the vessel is quite a sturdy figure he would want to test, too. Thorkell grabbed another spear by his right hand, impaled into the soil of the port. He made his throwing stance and outstretched his right arm a bit. A second later, the giant Norseman would launch the spear across the air and aim for the direction of Vice-Admiral Kallavan. He was intending to kill or learn who this man truly is. Let's see if you could do the same., he thought, grinning.

The marine vessel, courtesy of its size and ample crew, finally caught up with Thors. Now it was smooth sailing or at least that's what many on Kallavan's vessel wished it to be. The Admiral, however, knew that it was just about to begin. Entering strange lands, guided by an exile would round up troubles sooner or later. It was logical to think that something bad would happen. But Kallavan didn't waver and kept his eyes firmly on Thors and the land ahead. Now that the storm was over he could concentrate once more on the path ahead.

It wouldn't take long for Kallavan's suspicions to come to reality. He'd notice erratic behaviour from Thors before he'd rescue one of his crew by a sliver from being pierced through the head. Kallavan would quickly furrow his brow upon such an observation, the spear came fast and was especially deadly. Whoever had thrown it was skilled very skilled. For it looked more like a casual throw than one aimed to kill his true target, Thors. Kallavan would quickly turn to his second in command who had finished his own preparations. " Kanda. Observe our surroundings. If you will. I fear our welcome party has arrived."

Kanda would nod as his eyes flashed a blue colour, indicating that he had activated his mantra. It was not on the level of future sight which had its trademark red eyes. But it'd allow for much better insight than Kallavan could do, his mantra was more suited for close combat. "I sense various signatures and one that stands out above them all. It's incredibly power- Sir!" The captain would say, having sensed a threat was imminent. Kallavan, obvious to the attack as his own mantra flashed. Not by will but by the threat level that was on its way towards him. While not able to fully avoid by the grace of Advanced Mantra. Kallavan would deflect on his own terms.

The marine would twist his body to the direction of the incoming spear while at the same time raising his right arm. The muscles in his arm would bulge, flexing every fibre in it to the extreme. The arm would simultaneously turn a pitch dark colour with a red outline, showing an advanced mastery over the art. Kallavan at the last moment would open up his hand palm allowing the spear to hit the centre of his hand dead on and with incredible velocity. And while the spear did push Kallavan back a few meters. It only achieved this feat due to its momentum and the weight that it carried. Eventually the spear would shatter and break, dropping down on the ground. Leaving Kallavan pretty much unharmed. Despite a minor red tinge and a scrape here and there. It was hardly something to worry about. Kallavan would offer a quick smirk, knowing that whoever threw that spear was watching. Afterwards, he'd keep his gaze on the front. He had shown a glimpse of his power and had hoped it was enough to satisfy the unknown assailant. "
Keep an eye on our six Kanda. Until we're ashore at least. "

An Invitation

Thorkell's subordinates rushed to the lone structure of the base - a typical range of row houses made of timber and nipa. One cannot call it a castle nor a mansion for it is dwelled by barbarians who knew nothing but fight, feast, and fight.; no one couldn't even tell if they ever had bathed even once in their entire lives. But, in terms of hospitality, they are second to none.

The Vikings started heading to the stables where the sheep, poultry, and piggery are. They will slaughter dozens of them in preparation for Thors' arrival. Meanwhile, the other Vikings who knew how to dress the table quickly attended to it. They also lit the torch located at the entrance of the base in celebration of his return.

Meanwhile, Thorkell was still standing at the port, placing the back of his left palm on his left waist while crouching partially, his right index and thumb are formed in a circle as he placed the same in front of his right eye, seemingly using them as a sniping glass. He was spotting carefully how the Admiral deflected his throw. He was impressed. "Oooooooh! Not bad at all. I like him. And he's big!"

The leader of the Southwest tribe of the Vikings is tall enough at 7'7''. Thors' on the other is 6' flat. Looking at the Vice-Admiral, he boasts at approximately 8-9 feet.

But is he strong enough to accompany Thors'? I would want to test the depths of his might. He thought, scratching his chin.

And at last, Thors' finally approached the port. Hopping off the bow of his boat to the dock, he stood still, staring at the Towering Thorkell. Soon, the marine's vessel would dock as well. He would be expecting Kallavan to display the same manner as it's a foreign land even for Thors himself - having been an exile for almost two decades.

About five seconds of Mexican stare down would about to befall as the multiple gusts of Nordic breeze blew past the port area.

"It's been a while, Uncle Thorkell."

"You aged pretty well, Thors'. How's Helga?"

"She's fine."
, he responded. And assuming that the marines set foot on the Vinalndic soil, Thors will begin to introduce the head of the exploration to his uncle-in-law. "This is Vice-Admiral Kallavan of the Outside World Government. They came to offer their assistance to free the land."

"Free the land? You think, I, Thorkell the Tall would allow such assistance from strangers? You grew soft, Thors'."

"I don't see any issues nor troubles with that. Your people came to me, seeking help. Here I am with added force."

"We'll see about that."
, Thorkell commented staring at Kallavan. "Eat as many as you can. For after the feast. A due-"

"Uncle!!!! Stop!", Thors halted.

"Why? Aren't they strong enough to hold their selves against your Uncle? I thought you bring an added force, aren't you?"

Thors turned to Kallavan immediately. He wouldn't speak. He would see if the Admiral was able to read the situation they are in at the moment. And should the Admiral acknowledge the harsh introduction, a duel is about to spark.

"You don't have to do this.", is the only comment Thor's was able to butt in.

The remainder of Kallavan's travels was quite uneventful. No hidden surprises or ambushes from nearby warriors. For now, it was smooth sailing until they'd reach the shore. Eventually, they'd reach the shore and dock where there was enough room for their massive ship. The Admiral would disembark his ship accompanied by his two officers. Kanda and Yuu followed closely behind him as they'd observe the tense stand down between Thors and the man who'd be called Thorkell. Kanda would give a glimpse to Kallavan after observing Thorkel, he'd convey the message to Kallavan without speaking. But the admiral knew the message loud and clear.

This man was the one who had thrown the spear earlier.

The discussion between Thors and Thorkell would almost instantly turn into the reason for why Kallavan had joined him and why Thors allowed it in the first place. Remembering the words of Thors and the basic information of his people he had a suspicion where this would eventually lead towards. Strength as a warrior was absolute and Kallavan would have to show his mettle sooner or later. But he figured it'd come in the act of war itself, not a duel between two men. In all honesty, it didn't really change nor matter that much to the Admiral. Secretly he enjoyed a good honest fight every now and then.

"It is alright Thors. You said so yourself didn't you? The strongest shall rule? One way or another I figured it'd lead to this. Let him have his duel. Simple words will not reach this man. That much I can see with these eyes of mine." Kallavan said boasting broad shoulders and a path straight ahead. A simple smirk on the Admiral's face for he was confident in his abilities. There weren't many who could fight Kallavan blow for blow.

"His mind's made up Thors. I'm afraid you won't be able to convince him otherwise." A deep and low voice interjected. Trevor gave his own comment on the situation at hand. Kanda, however, remained silent. Clearly not at ease within enemy territory.

Thorkell The Tall immediately turned his back from Thors after provoking the Kallavan to have a duel against him. He walked about a couple of meters away from the conversation, quite slowly as he rest his clasped palms at the back of his head. He would halt the moment the Vice-Admiral spoke with such determination and angst.

"Hmmm...", Thorkell murmured, gently gliding his eyes to the left side and slightly tilting his head leftwards, enough for him to have a glimpse of what's behind him. He listened.

Thors also listened to the man's response to the invitation. He would give a bit of scowl on his face. This might have meant against Thorkell or Kallavan himself, but that remained a mystery for now. Only the outcome of the battle would unravel the truth.

Thors was about to say something until a man behind him subtly pass an unwelcomed notion even before he spoke. A solemn, guttural voice from the quite taller rough youngster with unkempt hair and a beard. Quite ragged and lazy demeanor. He turned to him and then to Kanda - the same marine Thors had a negative impression on.

They all watched Kallavan as he braved the path towards Thorkell.

"You probably traversed the Nordic Seas for about 30 hours without a significant amount of rest. You sure you'd take me on? I just prepared a feast for everyone.", Thorkell said, still at the same position.

"Or perhaps, you'd want me and my Vikings feast on your wake instead, soldier?", he continued, mocking the admiral.

"Follow me...", he said, directed to Kallavan. "Let's see what you're made of. Muahahaha!"

Thorkell would walk further without looking back until finally settling on the vast open field, a place where his Vikings do their training and daily duels. There, he would pick up a pair of titanium axes - both about the length of his arms. He waits for the challenger to face him as the greenery surrounding them fluttered along with the foreign breeze coming from the east.

"Don't gloat just yet Thorkell The Tall. We'll enjoy this feast soon." Kallavan closed as he follow Thorkell

The Admiral would follow the Viking Leader to a vast open field. What greeted the two men was a daily training ground and where Thorkell would be at his best and most confident. The home advantage some would believe. The ground and field itself betrayed to Kallavan that these men and perhaps women train on this field every day, from dawn to dusk. Thorkell would equip himself with large titanium axes while Kallavan would undo his coat and toss it to the side. Now with just a plain shirt and his combat trousers, the man would stretch his hands and arms. Ending his little warm-up exercise by cracking his knuckles and lastly his neck.

Kallavan would, at last, take his steps towards Thorkell. A slow approach but one that'd show there was no hint of fear in Kallavan. His expression also shifted from, perhaps, overconfidence to 100% concentration and seriousness. And while the admiral approached Thorkell would feel an ever-present pressure slowly coming closer and closer. Kallavan's haki was out in a full blast, contained but tempered. The ground would feel its push as any nearby wooden structure would be chipped off every so slightly. Thors would also finally be able to see Kallavan's own kings haki. Which would answer his suspicion earlier as to why his own hadn't really affected Kallavan all that much.

"Now then Thorkel, show me the true Viking spirit. And not the ambush kind like you did before." Kallavan said softly, which to some might come across as a taunt. But the man was honest and genuine. He really wished to see what made a Viking tick in combat.

He hoped there was more to this warrior tribe than simply aggression and combat.

Feast has begun

"Gloat, you said? Muahahaha! Don't make me laugh soldier. We, Vikings survive all calamities this godforsaken world has thrown upon us."

Thorkell looked at the approaching Kallavan as he waited inside the demonstration field, located just across the dwelling of the Viking. He sized the Vice-Admiral based on his demeanor, walking pattern, and facial expression.

This man is quite intimidating. I am the tallest Viking but this one is huge. He is confident. Just like Thors..., he thought as he wielded the two battle axes. Suddenly, a strange aura burst open from Kallavan that rampage across the field and towards Thorkell. It erupted alongside the Vice-Admiral's cold personality. Thorkell's eyes widened as the surrounding suddenly unleashed a distinct sound that resonates from those who possess such willpower.

That is the same as Thors' power. This man., he uttered before smirking maniacally.

Thors on the other hand stared closely, impressed with what the admiral displayed. It put a smile on his face. "As I thought.", he murmured but enough for Kanda and Trevor to hear.

Going back to Thorkell, as he smirked, the hairs on his body stood on its end. This was the first time since he and Thors fought to death ages ago. He couldn't explain what he felt at this point but one thing is for sure, he would die or kill. This is pure excitement.

Gripping the weapons tightly and in a low position, he kicked off, leaving a dent in his wake. Off to the admiral, he dashed like a ray of light as he swung his axes upwards, plowing the Vinlandian soil in the process casting a couple of crescent-shaped projectiles of earth and compressed wind towards Kallavan. Aside from these projectiles, when Tall landed closer to the opponent, he would swing the axes down, attempting to cut the marine.

"Welcome to Vinlandia!!!", he roared.

Two attacks were used here.

Kallavan's outburst of will would subside when Thorkell initiated his first attack. With a quick dash, the man would unleash the first set of his two-step attack. Kallavan's concentration would result in a red flash of his eyes, mantra allowing for a quick reaction. "Rankyaku." He said as he released a horizontal kick, launching a powerful air blade of his own.
81-100: 5. Large Building Level + S:+4 = 9. Mountain Level

Clash

9. Mountain Level VS 9. Mountain Level = no leftover DPR

The two attacks would meet and cancel each other out, resulting in a cloud of smoke on the area of impact. Thorkell, however, would push through and found himself in striking range. Two strong downward swings were delivered aiming to cut up the Admiral in one brutal attack. Kallavan would raise his arms as invisible haki coated them in response, aiming to block the strikes with each of his arms. "Tekkai." He'd say another strange word as he flexed his muscles to their limit.

Durability: 90 + 20(tekkai) = 101-119: 6. City Level + 2(Haki) = 8. Island Level

VS 9. Mountain Level

Result = DPR 1 below dura: somewhat effective

Thorkell's strikes would hit Kallavan's forearms dead on with incredible force. A force that was easily capable of dismembering many foes, only a few would be able to withstand such an attack. When the momentum of the attack had faded both combatants would be able to observe the results. Kallavan would smirk as Thorkell's axes drew only the smallest amount of blood. An impressive feat but perhaps shocking to the viking. "Impressive, but I'm not surprised." The Admiral would add as his tekkai had been pierced through.

After his comment the admiral would push up his arms allowing him to deflect the axes upwards into the air, opening Thorkell's guard. After that he'd launch a very powerful, flicker-like jab towards Thorkell's face. Invisible haki coating the jab.

"Jugon."

81-100: 5. Large Building Level + B:2 + 2[Haki] = 9. Mountain Level

So far the two men had engaged in a destructive warm up, for neither of them had started out full throttle.

Battle of the Talls Continue...

Thorkell compressed flying air blades parried equally with Kallavan's mighty tempest kicks. Specks of dusts covered each other line of sight but this terrain is governed by Thorkell himself, he pressed on and continued his plan to slice through the admiral with his dual ax as soon as he get the attacking distance.

As he channeled his might, to his surprise, the admiral invoked a spell by the word 'Tekkai' and the Viking felt the steel-like sensation as he rammed his weapons against his arms. "?!!!"

It might have been steel-made but the blade went through somewhat. Kallavan bled while acknowledging the potency of the primitive warrior. Both grinned like demons on land.

What would happen next would be rather impressive. The marine off the ax strike pushed his arm upward, deflecting the weapons. Thorkell's arms along with his weapon had been swung upwards and almost backward until he saw his opponent's right arm punching through the air like an arrow! It was fast, but thankfully, he capitalized on the deflection created by Kallavan himself. Using that push and the weight it bestowed over his upper body to go for a rather acrobatic body bend.

Thors who was watching the fight widened his eyes as he saw Thorkell bent his body so swiftly, evading the admiral's attack. "Uncle. When did you learn this?", he murmured again, but then again, enough to be heard by the two subordinates of Kallavan.

In the process of the evasion, he would further outstretch his right arm backward, still firmly holding the ax. The process of stretching his arm and weapon seemed like forming a complete circle, counter-clockwise. He was aiming to land another home to the foe's upper body. But this time, the attack was infused with what he calls "Thor's Blessing".

Like a bullet, Kallavan's fist traveled through the air. And in a most spectacular fashion Thorkell would evade by snapping himself backward, an almost superhuman feat. Bewildered Kallavan observed his opponent. It was the first time that someone had evaded his trademark jab. With a slicing woosh, it traveled above Thorkell's head, nearly slicing it through the sharpness of it alone. Both Thors and Kallavan's subordinates looked on in equal awe.

"Pheew." Trevor would whistle out loud, impressed by the Vikings reflexes.
"Not bad. Not bad at all." He'd continue, a smirk on his face. Clearly enjoying the spectacle.
"Why are you so impressed about that? The Commander is clearly holding back. An odd decision." Kanda would interject
"You're the oddity here. Enjoying a fight from time to time isn't a bad thing you know. "
"Besides. It isn't an everyday occurrence the Big Boss finds someone he can test himself against."
"We'll see."
"So Thors. Being the seasoned warrior here. Who do you think will win this duel?" Trevor would ask trying to measure their ally for himself.

Meanwhile, the fight between Kallavan and Thorkell continued onward. With his incredible acrobatic display, the viking would immediately counter from his dodge. Through quick thinking, Kallavan would exhale deeply as he relaxed, a polar opposite of his previous technique.

Nearly mimicking Thorkells own move Kallavan would bend his body backward as well, allowing the ax strike to woosh past him. The ax whiffed its target and Kallavan would immediately snap his back forward, transitioning into a sideways dash to Thorkells right side. Now in extremely close range. Kallavan hoped to capitalize on his opponent being unable to launch a weapon strike from his still outstretched right side. The Admiral would bring up his own right arm, muscles bulged, hand clenched and fist tempered to the extreme. Kallavan sought to deliver one brutal punch to his opponent's chest.

"
Tekkai Kenpo Genkai: Smash! "
120*: 7. Town Level + A:3 + 3[Haki] = 13. Small Continent Level
Tekkai Kenpo Genkai (Tekkai Kenpo - Limit) -> A more advanced version of tekkai gou but instead of flexing the entire body the user flexes one or both their arms. Upon activating their biceps expand exponentially, increasing their strength far beyond their normal limits. The resulting blows in this form leave hand imprints into the area they punch. A side effect of buffing one's muscles to their limit is that the user needs to rest for several turns before being able to use tekkai again. - A Rank - tekkai buf goes to strength instead of durability, 2 turn CD(71 Mastery, 61 Strength, 61 durability )

*100 base strength + 20 from tekkai = 120 attacking power

Defensive Mechanism: Bors' Grace

Kallavan's raging right fist cut through the air, whistling in baritone. All of that simply blew past a little above Thorkell's face while his body's perpendicular to his legs. A feat only natural to someone of his skill set. Thorkell's evasion caused Kallavan's attack to blast the brick walls meters behind the former, devastating it.

As this transpired in Vinlandia, Thors and the duo are having a conversation. The former would respond to Trevor, "Both are monsters. But the greater predator claims the victor."

Quickly, Thorkell followed with an upward swing of his right ax after it stretched out almost counter-clockwise. However, his opponent summoned another spell called 'Kami-E' and did almost the same technique he just did, dodging his ax at the last minute. Thorkell saw this coming but he remained steady, holding on his grip to his weapon at that very position and tightening up his footing on the ground while doing something unnatural from within.

In Kallavan's and the audiences' eyes, Thorkell would catch the entirety of his foe's gigantic armament fist as it descended upon him.

*CRASH!!!*

Thorkell smashed his back, cracking up the ground itself.

Thors couldn't believe what he saw. He knew that his uncle was hit cleanly but looking at him, he seems unharmed. Is he acting up? Or something did really happen during that sequence.

A few seconds ago. Before the punch hit him, Thorkell grew his upper body hairs at will, hardening them like a bunch of steel converted into chainmail with spikes protruding upwards or directed to the fist itself. In this process, he would not only provide protection to his body but counter-launching a strike simultaneously. Both disciplines were fortified with what he calls 'Thor's Blessing' or Haki to the foreign land.

"Bors' Grace: Chainmail", he uttered.

The user shapes his hair into layers of chainmail with spikes protruding upwards or directed to the incoming attack to support his body and attacking simultaneously. It provides a defense output of 3 DPR against Haki-less attacks, 2 against Invisible Haki, and 1 against Hardening.
Requirements: 81 Mastery, 61 Strength.
Destructive Potency Rank: A

Kallavan's DPR: 13 - 1 = 12. Large Country Level
Thorkell's Durability: 6 + 1 + 2 COA: Large Country Level

Caught off guard or so Kallavan tried to take advantage of his opponent's awkward position. But surprisingly most of it was bait or appeared to be as such. Kallavan's massive smash would hit home into Thorkell's chest, digging in deep and blasting him towards the ground with incredible force. But moments before the actual hit would take place the Viking had taken up a type of defense that perhaps went beyond his normal tekkai.
Thorkell's spike counter-attack:
120: 7. Town Level + 2 COA + A: 3 = 12. Large Country Level

Kallavan's Durability: 81-100: 5. Town Level +3 Hardening(fist is still primed from that strike after all) = 8. Island Level
Result = DPR 2 or higher than dura: super effective.
"URGH!"

A quick shout in reaction to the incredible pain Kallavan felt. It'd force the man to back off a few steps while holding his right hand with his left as he observed the damage. His right hand was visibly shaking as blood nearly covered it completely. He'd take a quick short few breaths as to recompose his body from the shock it had received. It wouldn't take long for the man would get back to his usual self, bloodied hand continued to drip onto the ground below him.

On the sidelines, both Kanda and Trevor would be observed with visible shock on their faces. Thors would see it in the young men their faces. A first perhaps for them. To see someone who could fight on equal terms with their Admiral and perhaps even win a close-quarters bout was something they couldn't fathom. They had seen his prowess time and time again. His overwhelming might and unmatched potential. To see that someone who could match that in such a remote place as this baffled their minds.

"Unbelievable..." Trevor said, speechless for the first time in his life.
"Are all Vikings like this?" Kanda said, finally speaking up fear of what would happen if the Vikings were to turn to them.

"I applaud you Thorkell the Tall. You've got me outclassed as a regular human. It gives me joy. Knowing that I can still grow. But..." Kallavan would say as he'd place his right fist into his left hand, boasting confidence.

Thors if he peered into the future would see that Kallavan was about to demonstrate in full what he had only shown a glimpse of back at Icelandia. A grimdark shadow would take a hold of the Admiral as his entire body shifted into a reptile-like monster. Scales would cover his body as he gained a dark green tint. Claws would take place for his regular nails as his teeth became more fang-like. The already huge Admiral also increased in size, almost half a meter to be exact.

"I'm done playing around." Kallavan would say, having reached his Human-Beast form. Granted if Thors didn't prevent or halt their dual right then and there.

The Rise of Jormungandr

Thorkell's spiked chainmail that he conjured on his chest managed to sneer through Kallavan's mighty knuckles. Pain inflicted, the admiral coursed back a few, observing the damage incurred. As drops of blood rolled down the ground, Thorkell got back his stance up. He stared at the other, raising his left eyebrow as he keeps his lips closed while raising only one side of his mouth to form a half-smile.

"Ohhhh! That was close!", he commended the admiral before stretching and cracking his body left and right. Then back on his usual dual ax stance.

Thors from afar saw everything before his eyes. He was amused to see how his old comrade rivaled against the admiral in that fashion. "That's something new to me, too. Only a few could muster such a technique. He's been busy this past 16 years."

He kept on looking at the two but for long, he would witness quickly what was about to befall. "?!!"

An interjection covered his face when he slightly looked into the future, seeing how the marine took the form of the beast he demonstrated back in his homeland. But much to his surprise, he would unearth a more heightened version of this evolution. He put on a scowl on his face. He would further observe.

Back to Thorkell, he wouldn't imagine how a man is capable of transforming into such a creature. "Child of Loki!...", he cursed in awe. In his enthralling, he would feel a certain fear, he never encountered for a very long time. What is this feeling? he asked himself.

But this is Thorkell the Tall we are talking about, his fear eventually was converted into excitement. "If you're not playing around, why don't you give a taste of that, Jormungandr?"

"Yes! you heard it right, it's a Nordic beast similar to yours, serpent child of Loki!"

The Tall awaits for his opponent's offense.
