Info Explanation Regarding Recent Events

Hello members of Thriller Bark,

We're making this announcement due to some recent events that have happened in the moderation team and have affected the forum as a whole. With this message, we would like to give out the story from both perspectives as well as the outcome. This is in an effort to be as transparent as possible, and have you all draw your own conclusion with all the facts. We would like to preface by mentioning that this incident happened over on Discord, in a private chat, unbeknown to the rest of the team members and thus not something that should have spilled over and affected TB.
In respect to this involving the private life of the involved parties, we will be vague in some parts but leave enough for you guys to know the context of the story.

Prior to the opening of TB, two of our team members, Zemmi and Beky, were in a relationship that came to an end a few months ago. This led to disagreements that spilled over and ended up involving another member of TB against their wishes, and friend of one of the mods. A certain incident during this time period led to a heated exchange between both, which left Zemmi feeling threatened and unsafe and ultimately led to her deleting her own account after we refused to comply with her demands, and ultimatum, of permanently demoting Beky without questions. After having heard both sides and reviewed screenshots of several conversations, we reached the conclusion that each bears some of the blame. Both their behavior in this saga to have been unbecoming and disappointing for different reasons. Zemmi for her attitude towards a member of TB unbecoming of a moderator, and Beky for his reaction and subsequent behavior towards the former as retaliation.

This leads us to now. Unfortunately, the conclusion reached hasn't been satisfying to both parties. Zemmi is unable to accept her share of the blame, and finds her self unable to continue working alongside Beky, as such her account will remain deleted and we're sad to see her go. On the other side, Beky has accepted his part of the blame and apologized for his behavior. He will be reprimanded and has been stripped down of his moderating duties for two months.

People can view it however they want but I would prefer people to not take sides when they know just one side of a story, because that brings bias. heck the team hasn't taken any side either, we came to a mutual conclusion from all info provided that both would be to blame and equally punished (removed from the team for a moment and solve their private issue). It was zem's own decision to delete her account and in turn make it seem like we have taken beky's side on this matter.
