I'm not gonna lie, I feel like everyone is ignoring the elephant in the room. Yeah, there are obvious issues with activity being crazy low,
but I mean look outside.
There is a pandemic fellas, personally speaking I'm not feeling super duper motivated to RP; I'm kinda sad, I can't get my meds, I haven't seen a lot of my friends in months. I bet many people feel the same way.
And to tell the truth,
NOTHING is more demoralizing than seeing everyone give up and complain about there not being enough activity. How do you expect to have new players join or old players stay when all we do is whine about inactivity?
How is erasing everyone's progress good? Lol
To play devil's advocate:
1. There are currently level gaps that cannot be bridged by a solo player who isn't devoting 100% of their time to the game (and has a host equally dedicated). In other words, a new marine will NEVER catch someone like Larsi ever.
2. We are legit running out of islands.
3. A good amount of characters are either passed their end-game or nowhere near it. Stalling won't accomplish much.
4. The REVOs have been in purgatory for, (what?) 2 years now?
5. Our only marine is a pirate in denial.
6. It gives GMs time to iron out any kinks in the system and even add more.
At the end of the day, I'd prefer a different solution
or everyone just being patient during the time of a pandemic but if it comes down to a reset or the death of the RP. I'll go with reset every time.
Obviously restarting right here won't do shit. That's why I said you do it in a different place or advertise to other OP communities. I much prefer do it in a different place idea. By different place, I mean different forum. Move everything over.
Not super into that idea simply because it feels like a giant kick to the face of all the people who helped make this community for all of us, and all the people who donated to help TB get off the ground.

Sorry, I've been thinking about it for a while.
