Brooke's "betrayal" amounts to hesitating against Hawkins when he learns how his powers work. Hawkins will probably have voodoo dolls infused with both allies and enemies alike, leaving things too unpredictable for Brooke, who's unable to sacrifice any allies to whittle down Hawkins' extra lves.

Going back to Luffy, asalluded before, he's gonna refuse to exploit some distraction engineered by Kidd, prob Yamato showing up to fight, only for a desperate Kidd to take her hostage, surprisingly leading Kaido to hesitate. Cue Luffy PUNCHING KIDD for threatening a friend + Luffy notwnating to win this way. So much for being a pirate, where cheating's fair game.

Kaido, the Calamties, the Tobiroppu...all have Fishmen blood to some extent. All have other exotic bloodlines too, as is already evident with oni-types like Black Maria and Kaido, for starters, King's ( Tengu ) race...doesn't end there, but for now, the big reveal will be how they all embody the Way of the Ocean ( one translation of Kaido's name ).

Coming up during one of the next Wano Intermissions: the complete eradication of the Doors of Justice and the complete annihilation or flat out mysterious vanishing of Impel Down. Chaotic times are ahead. Who's the culprit? Need I say it? Blackbeard riding the recently unearthed Pluton...and maybe also a certain flying Pirate

Or perhaps old Dogtooth and stand-in for the Monkey King's nemesis Erlang Shen, Katakuri ( imho Oda's fusion of Erlang and his famous Celestial Dog companion ). Notice the similarities between Erlang Shen and his battle with Sun Wukong and Katakuri and his fight with Luffy

However it plays out, to summarize, I expect these happenings: Doors of Justice destroyed; Impel Down destroyed or completely uprooted from the ocean floor; Doffy allying with his liberator; his crew getting eventually slaughtered for their devil fruits; Doffy showing up in Kano; Doffy losing a finger or two to somebody.

Weebil won't be the only suspicious "Son/Daughter of "Insert Famous Pirate Here" to randomly appear out of the woodwork. I suspect we'll be seeing quite a few more cropping up shortly, courtesy of Shiki's Strongworld-style hyper-evolution/possible cloning experiments. See all my previous ramblings about Shiki, Weebil, and the resurgent ROCKS war machine in Kano

May also into my "SANJI GONNA DIE" theories. In short, Sanji's body is literally going to expire at some point due to plot, but Pudding's going to awaken her latent power and seal his spirit. Enter Judge with some convenient spare "clone" bodies for Sanji's spirit to plug back into, revealing the big cold bastard actually did have a soft spot for Sanji,..having once considered cloning him lol
    Ghidorah Guy
It's been pointed out that Oda's drawn a lot of various silly what-if versions of Sanji from time to time for shits and giggles. But perhaps it's simply another cheeky hint of what's to come? An unveiling of several goofy-looking Sanji "clones" with wildly varying appearances. Instant comedic furor, as Sanji for one would NOT be amused for sure.

I've mentioned that Wano as whole itself may have once been a "leftover" town itself in the past, perhaps a gestalt of various other ghettoes collected from around the world by some large oni, as per popular theory. It's purpose: to serve as a dwelling for various misfits, criminals, those who count amongst the lowest dregs of society
    Ghidorah Guy
Everyone's gotta eat something. Sadly, as with most any society, there's always somebody ending up the bottom. Many would argue it's an inescapable fact of life; there's winners and losers, survival of the fittest and all that jazz, somebody's going to inevitably play that role, HAS TO occupy that position in order for the overall social mechanism to function...
    Ghidorah Guy
I speculate that's how things ended up as these civilizations evolved, with someone getting left behind...the leftovers. Hippo people, Crustacean people, or just anyone who didn't "fit in" like say half-breeds born of unions from what were considered different races, e.g. say a Fishman/Human or Fishman/Giant Hybrid. These are the sorta people who ended up in Wano.
    Ghidorah Guy
In a way, one could describe Wano originating as one big bowl of Oden cooked using leftover ingredients. The same can be said to apply to Oden and the Scabbards themselves. A collection of social outcasts, criminals, and refugees...the unwanted. And as such, many of Wano's current citizens may actually possess some very interesting, varied ancestry. May need to reclassify certain "races."
One name that I haven't really seen turn up in much Wano-related discussion? Hyo's apparent antagonistic rival and instigator of the Mountain God incident which led to Oden's exile to Kuri. Quite curious that said character has yet to turn up or garner further mention. That or Oda's simply biding his time to spring another surprise.

That's not to say Shiki's the only suspect; we know of two other black-clad, flight-capable characters -- one of which is theorized to be, any rate -- associated with Kaido/Orochi - King and Karasu ( possible Underworld broker and double-agent spy ). Did Kurokoma go on to adopt a new identity and join the Beast Pirates? Knights can easily slip behind enemy lines in chess...

Of course, Kurokoma could potentially be revealed as an entirely new character we've yet to ever see. But in any case, seeing as Oda has been blatantly portraying Wano as metaphorical hell in various ways, only natural then that we'd see a character representing one of the two infamous guardians of Hell in Japanese Buddhism - Mezu aka Horseface. http://yokai.com/mezu/

If Kaido can be said to play the role of Mezu's partner, Ox-head, it's only stands to reason then that whoever's playing the part of Mezu would occupy a lofty position in the overal hierarchy. Even if Kurokoma doesn't turn out to be Shiki's alias or something, expect him to be a major surprise factor.

What is One Piece? Got a few different ideas, but one major theory I have right now is that it's the Story of All Things; some kinda log similar to that of Oden or even the poneglyphs. But it's not just some dry historical ledger, but perhaps an elaborately crafted tale or theatrical production that can make audiences both laugh and cry...sorta like that of Roger and Oden's adventures, ya?
    Ghidorah Guy
True dat about the Noland story and such. I also suspect Robin won't be the only character hitting the literary scene; Carrot's revealed herself to be quite an artist with a particular shoujo manga style...I wouldn't be surprised if she and/or others were to become mangaka, re-telling the true story of Sora and the Germa, for example ( albeit in the "girly" shoujo style lol )
    Ghidorah Guy
It'd be Oda's tribute to Sailor Moon author Naoko Takeuchi, whose mini self-insert portrait was a bunny rabbit. We've seen such before; as has been pointed out, Masira from Jaya was basically Oda's nod to Lupin III's author, Monkey Punch.

Lots of Death and Hell symbolism permeating the entire Wano arc, even as it pertains to Captain Rocks. While I'm not 100% deadest on it, I'm beginning to think there's a strong chance that Blackbeard's inevitable 3rd devil fruit will be one related to death ( and NOT Cerberus ) - Hito Hito no mi model: King Enma/Yama/Shinigami, ie an actual death god or King of Hell

S’why I’m leaning towards a King of Hell like the Buddhist Yama/Enma, it allows the Oni-like visage with power over death. And seeing as I believe BB will play the role of Evil Messiah to Luffy’s Good Anti-Christ...well, 3 notable events occurred when Jesus died on the cross: an earthquake, the darkening of the sky, and saints rising from the dead.
    Ghidorah Guy
Maybe one of the BB pirates steals Katakuri’s df to become BB’s personal Stay Puft Marshmallow Man too lol. Oda’s familiar w/ Ghostbusters.

The saints rising from the dead is insane as thought. It would be some naruto EoS shit but it would help conclude alot of open character plots. Maybe thats what Moriahs awakening might be like
Assuming Wano does consists of several islands relocated by an Oars giant, it begs the question: what's keeping them afloat? Answer: below the literal skull that encompasses Onigashima is an entire skeleton...the remains of a colossal Titan that continues to stand and hold up the island of Wano to this day. This being holds up Wano same as Zunisha does Zou. Parallels.

Blackbeard may be a literal mutt whose diverse family tree includes Minks ( of the dog/wolf variety ) and possibly much more ( Tengu, Three-Eyed Tribe...). As mentioned previously, good chance of more subdued Sulong-type, lycanthropic transformation happening under a full moon.
Who is Ussop's mentor, Heracles? Shot in the dark: a descendant of a past Tontatta warrior who dressed in samurai armor crafted from a beetle's carapace, having been inspired to travel to Wano and developed an interest in botany thanks to Norland - a man who came across both the dwarves and Wano during his travels.

Random bonus thoughts: size-manipulation, beetles, mythological figures, giants, the super-strength of beetles and Tontattas alike....taken altogether, what're the odds that a One-Piece equivalent of Atlas -- the Greek Titan tasked withed holding up the Sky -- is somehow connected to the Tontattas, if not a fucking Tontatta w/ growing powers ( and obligatory Atlas Beetle armor ) or something along these lines?
    Ghidorah Guy
Bonus Thoughts part II: I'm pretty certain Giant Jack the Beanstalk will be revealed to be a pop green. Consider too popular theories related to Ussop's kabuto weapon eating a beetle zoan, and it just further cements the Usopp-Tontatta-Beetle-Giant connection.

    (B) ...one of the protag's allies, Warsman, being a cyborg born from the union of an adroid and a human woman through natural birth lol. Fuckin absurd, but I'd trust Oda to concoct some more sensible scifi explanation behind a child being born from such a pairing. Conception by means of blending of haki? Either way, I think there's a good chance there's an automaton or what not in his family tree..

Further Strawhats-to-Kano fuel: note the Chinese kung-fu vibes inherent in Sabo's dragon-claw fighting style. The Rokushiki school is likely located in Chinese-themed Kano, and the Happo Navy's Hasshoken style derives from there as well..Strong chance Dragon picked up his skills there too. Add a likely Martial Arts-themed Ryokogyu debuting in Kano imo, and you've got seeds for a kung fu battle royale.

The battle against Bullet in One Piece: Stampede could Oda's cheeky lil preview of what's to come in Wano/Kano: a pile-on battle against a metal-armored foe, a big man/small man ( not Orochi ) team of villains, Crocodile/Lucci/Buggy/Hancock/Smoker joining the fight, weak lil Usopp making a significant contribution of his own in the final battle.

Orochi wormed his way into becoming Shogun by convincing people he was Sukiyaki's lovechild with a mistress or whatever. Wondered if it might be true ( unbeknownst even to him ), but that'd put his pursuit of Komurasaki in a creepy Luke-Leia-kissing kinda light. So I got to thinking, well, people've pointed out his similarity to late-life Yasu...perhaps Orochi is actually a relative of his?

The whole reason Yasu took him under his care and tolerated his presence, Orochi's means of becoming a servant to even the Kozuki household...maybe Orochi is in fact Yasu's forbidden lovechild with a lowly courtesan or citizen of Ebisu, again, unbeknownst even to Orochi. Cue the dramatic reveal when Orochi finds out and suddenly realizes he killed his own father.

Alternatively, could be Yasu's younger half-brother under similar circumstances, background-wise. I'm fairly certain he's a relative of either Oden or Yasu at this point, but again, that'd make his whole interaction w/ Hiyorisaki kinda icky in hindsight. I know Oda loves his Greek mythology, but do we really need some Oedipal shenanigans all up in here?

Granted, if its turns out Orochi's mom was a prostitute, and Yasu ( or Oden ) his dad...well, from a certain perspective, it would kinda follow the Oedipus complex concept in that he hated his father and fell in love with a woman LIKE his mother ( courtesan ). Ehhh. Musings over.

What’s the significance apart from any symbolic one? Fuck if I know. Maybe it allows Minks to reach A LEVEL BEYOND Sulong. Or allows those with less control in said state to maintain the power to regulate their power or keep it without potentially losing control...I dunno.

Zoro 1-ups Sanji once again ( in a dumb way ). If Pudding can be said to possess 2 different sides to her personality, Zoro's potential love interest Komurasaki ( possibly like her mother before her ) will show THREE different faces throughout the arc.
    Ghidorah Guy
Number 3 ( or 1 as in the original, depending on one's perspective and how the story plays out ) would probably Hiyori/Komurasaki when she's wearing the mask and playing her music...ie the "true" face she seeks to hide. Needless to say, it will come off mid-performance at some point, revealing the sadness underneath it all. Sad + Happy + Angry.

lmao at "complicated nature of women and their range of emotional states " & "Oda’s more misogynistic habits " I have to say that Oda handles women rather mediocre & stereotypical, but it's similar with men, though he has a broader spectrum for them imo.

Former Rocks such as Shiki haven't simply been building up an army in the past decades. By that I mean Karasu -- a double agent working for Kaido, as per an older theory not my own -- is someone who's devoured several SMILES of the same variety; crows in his case. As long as the SMILE's based on a social animal that can form packs and such, one can eat multiple SMILES to basically become a veritable zoan "logia."
