A new experiment, a new result. With a new experiment to test out the limitations of The Maker’s ability, Shaka is able to further observe what are the results. The first two parts of the experiment seems to be working as intended. However, on the third part of the experiment – it failed somewhat unexpectedly. Shaka wasn’t sure why, though the reasons are unclear as to why it failed. That said, Shaka notice the paradoxical nature of the fruit. It wouldn’t be easy, well at least to figure a way to utilize the fruit for science.

“Seems like your fruit cannot expand in size with anything that is too small, and it seems that at the very least the limit is something as small as a hair. However, the fact that you cannot manipulate molecules directly, only indirectly with general objects means that your ability is paradoxical in nature.”

Shaka noted after the failure to increase the size of a small hair. Being unable to change the speed of water isn’t necessarily a problem as The Maker as already confirmed that he could on his own. But now the problem is that for the manners in which The Maker wanted to work with his ability for scientific use becomes much narrower.

“This might be quite limiting to utilize your fruit for creation purposes, well at least scientifically speaking.”

Shaka commented on the difficult nature and limitation of the ability. However, Shaka quickly continued on.

“However, even though you can’t manipulate certain things directly. It is possible to create something indirectly. But in order for us to see how you can create something indirectly, we need to know if an increase in size changes more than just its physical size.”

Shaka paused for a moment. Chemical reactions would be harder to test, and at this point perhaps chemistry is not the right idea to work with. Another way to test is if something can indeed change from just a physical alteration. But here, there aren’t many things one can use to test in a simpler manner.

“For example, if you increase the size of a battery, would the amount of voltage in the battery increase as well? Can a 5-minute battery turn into a 5-hour battery?”

Shaka pondered loudly. Have The Maker attempted something like this? Shaka would turn his attention towards several drawers where he would seem to search around for something he could use, and perhaps lucky enough – several objects could be found and used. With this, Shaka would pass a couple of them to The Maker, one in which is a small battery, and the other – a small magnet.

“For the time being, hold on to the magnet but do amplify the size of the battery several times. A large magnet might be particularly dangerous if you increase its size.”

Shaka would then touch his helmet where the antenna is normally located.

“Could you bring some magnetic materials and a multimeter to the chemistry main lab?”

Shaka spoke seemly to no one, but in truth – the communicator in his helmet allowed him to communicate with others like a walkie-talkie. It would take some time, but eventually – someone would open the door into the building in which Shaka and The Maker is currently at. A voice followed by a large pear-shape like mechanical robot – vastly different from the Pacifista. Red and cream in colour, the word “PUNK 04” could be seen on the chest where the heart is located.

“I have brought the multimeter and several magnetic materials, Shaka.”

"Thank you Pythagoras."

Pythagoras, the other Vegapunk satellite has arrived. Here, the two satellites would come together to help run the experiment, with the very first thing they would test for, is the voltage of the presumed larger battery that The Maker would have amplified. Shaka would then take the Multimeter from Pythagoras and place it on the battery with its testing tips.

The Maker stood quietly, reflecting on the previous experiments. The results had been both enlightening and frustrating—success in the first two phases, but an unexpected failure with the third. His attempt to amplify the hair had fallen short, and despite his best efforts, there was no clear explanation. The nature of his Devil Fruit powers seemed to hold the answer, but it remained elusive.

Why did it fail?” he wondered, absently turning the hair between his fingers. “Is it my mastery… or something deeper about the fruit itself?

The paradox gnawed at him. He could amplify objects he could see, but something as small as a hair or a molecule—those eluded his grasp. Was it a limitation of his current control, or something intrinsic to the fruit? Either way, the failure bothered him.

"Looks like I can't amplify anything too small for me to perceive... but why?" he muttered. "If I can increase the size of water, what’s stopping me from manipulating its atoms? Is it my control? Or the fruit’s limitation?"

These possibilities swirled in his mind, a frustrating blend of curiosity and self-doubt. He realized his power might be more suited for larger-scale physical manipulation rather than intricate, molecular-level control. It wasn’t the answer he wanted, but it wasn’t a dead end either. There had to be another approach, something indirect.

Then the idea of amplifying a battery caught his interest. Could he increase more than just its size? What if the charge inside increased too? If size and energy output were linked, this could be a breakthrough, a step toward mastering his abilities.

Maybe I can change more than just its physical structure... maybe there’s more potential here,” he mused, sharpening his focus on the upcoming experiment.

Pythagoras soon arrived with a small battery and a magnet. The Maker took the battery in his palm, glancing at the magnet resting on the side, aware of the potential dangers it posed if amplified. His thoughts drifted briefly, but he quickly returned his attention to the battery. This was the next test—a chance to push his abilities beyond what he had already proven.

"Alright, let's see how far I can push this," The Maker muttered, activating his powers.

He began amplifying the battery, concentrating not just on its size but on whether its internal energy might also increase. This experiment wasn’t just about testing limits; it was about understanding the full scope of what he could accomplish.

It had been months since Sephiroth and the crew had disappeared. A man who kidnapped Celestial Dragons, killed Vice Admirals, fought Admirals and even killed one of them, a man who was on the front page of the news just about every day - gone without a trace. The World Government itself had lost track of him, a concept that in and of itself was unbelievable. Little did the world know, Sephiroth was not hiding. Simply, he had stumbled upon something unfathomable. Something so large, so important, so mysterious, that it occupied all of its priorities. A mysterious creature, hundreds of years old, and just as large as it was ancient. And now, Sephiroth, together with this mysterious creature, made a reappearance. Clouds and mist rolled along the surface of the sea surrounding Egghead Island. Appearing from amongst the rolling clouds and mist was an enormous silhouette. As it came into view, its true nature was unveiled. A moving, massive island - or rather, an enormous turtle, with a whole island on its back.

It was floating, moving, as evident by the displacing waters around it. A few kilometers away from Egghead Island, the ancient creature stopped. From its back, a purple shooting star ascended high up into the sky, before descending onto Egghead Island. On the outskirts of Egghead Island, the purple shooting star crashlanded. What was it?

"That's odd," calmly commented Shaka. His eyes peered along their monitoring software, he turned over to his left, Stella a fellow satellite of the esteemed Vegapunk answered his comment with a bit of curiousity.

"What is it Shaka?"

"Today's forecast is taking an unprecedented shift, additionally, look," he said pointing off at the massive formation in the distance. He brought it up, a holographic display showcasing the massive beast. "Is that a new island?!"

"AH! It must be, a new window of discovery has walked right up to our doorsteps!" Excitedly exclaimed Stella.

"Don't be so naive, this isn't something we can take lightly. Mobilize Lilith and have her make a perimeter around the outskirts of the island at the shoreline closest to the massive beast. The Mechanical Sea Beasts must be mobilized as well, approach with caution." Ordered Shaka.

"You're too serious, as if I would put myself in harm's way. I will call Lilith and see if she can escort me to the island to investigate, atlas and the Mechanical Sea Beasts can monitor the shoreline." Stella replied.

Shaka hesitated to reply but nodded showing his compliance.

On the shoreline of Egghead Island, a large dust cloud was settling. As it was clearing, the silhouette of a man was coming into view - and as it cleared completely, the identity of the man was revealed. He was floating a few meters above the ground. Between the ground and his feet were three purple rings of gravitational force, having been used to cushion his landing. The three rings fizzled out and the man dropped softly to the ground, his feet hitting it with a soft thud. His long white hair fell down on his back and his sharp eyes gazed into the distance. A man known throughout the world. A famous Lunarian, and an Admiral slayer. Sephiroth had landed upon Egghead Island.

Let's see if the informaion I received is correct.

Sephiroth thought to himself, taking the first step forward. He started to walk inward.

Situated in Punk records, behind the safety of the Frontier dome, all six Vegapunks laid. Each occupied by their own interests, Shaka and Stella were the first two which were introduced with the brief inclusion of Lilith. Sephiroth had made his landing upon the island, officially intruding upon world government property however had yet to be detected. The hustle and bustle, the natural and preserved flora provided an astounding and welcoming view. The soft kisses of the warm tropical rainforest greets the admiral slayer for his time of peace is here.

Stella, still inside the confines of the massive Vega-structure (Not canon), happily pranced through the corridors of punk records. Closing in on Lilith, who had just prepared to embark of an adventure of her own, she too was entranced by the swimming island that had approached them.

A brief broadcast befell the Vegapunks, a message from Shaka.

"To all satellites present and intrigued by this discovery, do not venture in without the proper security protocols. There was an unprecedented shift in meteological system surrounding the island, it's only a matter of time until I investigate and find out what it is- is going on, therefore be advised and on high alert until further notice."

And so it had ended.

Walking through the rainforest setting, Sephiroth was looking around, taking in information of the island.

A winter island... a tropical island... what is it?

Sephiroth said, wondering why the climate on this island was somewhat confusing. Before long, he would make it out of the forest and into the open. Some distance further, he would enter the city. In front of him spanned the City of the Future. Bustling, full of technology and wonder. But Sephiroth was not the type to be impressed. His silver eyes simply gazed upon the city, he was here on a mission. A certain something to accomplish. He had to summon attention. Briefly, Sephiroth unsheathed his sword and pointed it up toward the sky. Multiple purple gravitational rings erupted from the tip of his sword and flew upward, disappearing into the sky. He sheathed his sword once more.

Sephiroth was scheming. How would the City of the Future welcome him?

The Vegapunks were taken aback by Shaka's broadcast. Each offering their own takes and potential speculations on what exactly triggered his precautionary response, Stella and Lilith had met and both heard Shaka's broadcast. Lilith was intrigued by the island however she had to exercise caution as per her fellow Vegapunks warning, "Come let us go to the new island at once! We'll gather the Pacifistas- heck for extreme security I reckon we employ the Seraph."

Stella lifted his left hand to his ear, activating his comm-link and contacted the holding lab for each Seraph, "S-Hawk and S-Bear, do you copy?"

Booted to life, their authority chips chimed in perfectly and thus they were under the orders of Stella.

"Once you do, meet us down at the front of the lab. We need an escort to the unknown island parked at the outer shores of the island. Whilst you're on your way assemble the other Pacifistas." Commanded Stella.

"I don't think you should be giving such authority to the Seraph, to activate some Pacifistas without supervision is extremely risky." Interjected Lilith, concerned about the route of Stella's childlike enthusiasm.

The two conversed and they travelled, however neither party was aware of the imminent threat present upon their island. At least not yet--

Shaka was the first to find out, an anomaly spotted amidst the city through the surveillance, a silver menace with a nack for destruction.

Egghead Chapter 1: The Reawakening
@Gambit

The sea churned beneath him as strong currents tossed his small ship like a toy in a storm. The sky above Egghead Island was a slab of iron, clouds pressed together so tightly that even sunlight seemed to fear piercing through. Yet Cletus leaned against the bow, letting the freezing winds rip through his hair, savoring the silence after the chaos of the Sovereign War.

It had been two years since those three days and nights of fire and blood. Two years since he’d fallen, limping away from the ashes of the Silver Vampirates, carrying guilt heavier than any armor. And now… now, he was coming back.

3D2Y During the Pirate Festival said:
A shiver ran down his spine from anticipation. He flexed his fingers, feeling the familiar pang of old injuries that had stubbornly refused to fully heal. His right arm was still weak, but his mind was sharp.

Egghead Island loomed ahead, a jagged silhouette against the storm-dark sea. The island’s mountains rose like black towers, while the giant structure above it was dotted with strange flashes of metallic light that reflected in the waves below. Even from this distance, the air seemed to hum with energy. Artificial, alien even. A place built by human hands, but infused with something beyond. Technology. Science....

"Vegapunk."

Cletus’ gaze hardened. Every ounce of grief, guilt, and fury was distilled into single purpose: the World Government had to pay. And it would start here. No more silly pirate games. Just taking them down once and for all.

He stepped forward, letting the deck beneath his sandals creak under his weight. The ship responded instantly, tilting slightly as he shifted. He felt alive. The wind carried the scent of the island to him: metal, ozone, and something faintly like burning oil. Cletus pulled his hoodie tighter, letting the hood fall back over his shoulders. The Egghead of legend was silent. For now. Cletus knew it would come alive the moment he stepped ashore. And when it did… he would be ready.

The Son of Science had resurrected. And Egghead had no idea what was coming.

Egghead Chapter 1.5: The Island That Thinks
@cletus

The sea surrounding Egghead was not natural water anymore.

As Cletus’ ship crossed the perimeter, the color shifted subtly--from deep blue to a refractive sheen threaded with faint hexagonal patterns beneath the surface. Electromagnetic fields hummed through the waves, stabilizing currents, redirecting tides, regulating temperature with clinical precision. The ocean itself had been modified to obey.

Above it rose Egghead Island, not as land but as a colossal experiment left running for decades.

Towering spires of alloy and reinforced polymer pierced the storm clouds, their surfaces crawling with embedded circuitry that pulsed in asynchronous rhythms. Suspended highways curved through open air, held aloft by invisible force fields, mag-rails glowing softly as autonomous transports streaked along them in silence. Vast mechanical arms folded and unfolded along the cliffs, assembling, disassembling, reassembling structures in constant iterative refinement.

Every surface moved.

Drones swarmed in layered traffic patterns, some no larger than insects, others the size of small boats, each projecting holographic readouts into the rain--weather simulations, power flow diagrams, live threat assessments. The sky itself was partitioned into invisible zones, air pressure adjusted dynamically to stabilize flight paths and prevent turbulence near critical installations.

Beneath Cletus’ ship, something immense tracked his approach.

A Sea Beast surfaced, no longer a creature but a platform--its skeletal frame reinforced with armored plating, neural ports lining its spine, artificial musculature grafted into living tissue. One eye had been replaced entirely by a rotating optical array, lenses cycling through spectra beyond human vision. Data streamed directly from its gaze into Egghead’s central network.

[EGGHEAD PERIMETER SYSTEM]
Vessel classification: Unknown
Subject: Single occupant
Physiology: Human baseline, extensive trauma markers
Right arm: reduced output, chronic damage
Threat probability: pending
The beast submerged on command, its role fulfilled.

The island adjusted.

Energy flowed visibly now--light racing through conduits embedded in the ground, walls, and towers. Platforms unlocked and shifted elevation. Defensive systems recalibrated, barrels rotating into standby positions without fully revealing themselves. Somewhere within the central structure, quantum processors rerouted priorities, carving computational space for a new variable: Cletus.

A voice reached him, transmitted directly through the air via localized vibration, crisp and distortion-free.

???: “You crossed our perimeter without triggering automated annihilation. That alone places you in the upper percentile of interesting visitors.”
The voice carried no threat, only evaluation.

???: “Your neural patterns show long-term stress adaptation, combat conditioning, and unresolved psychological load. Impressive survivability metrics.”
On a hovering platform near the shore, a figure materialized as hard light condensed into solid form. Humanoid, but unmistakably artificial--synthetic skin stretched perfectly over a reinforced frame, eyes glowing with layered data projections that never stopped updating.

A Vegapunk Satellite.

SATELLITE: “Egghead Island is a closed research environment. Unauthorized entry normally results in immediate erasure.”
It tilted its head slightly, sensors flaring.

SATELLITE: “However, your involvement in the Sovereign War has been flagged as statistically significant.”
The platform descended, its gravity field compressing the rain around it into neat, falling lines. All around, Egghead continued its endless calculations, indifferent yet attentive, like a god that processed instead of judged.

This was not a fortress.

It was a mind given geography.

And as Cletus stepped closer, every machine, algorithm, and artificial intelligence on Egghead began asking the same question:

What does a broken survivor want from the future?
