Olympus #9

"Perseus' foolishness had soon come back to bite him. As to travel to Mount Olympus one must be thrown by the Hydra, a simple means of travel but difficult since not many can understand the beast. Hydra's intelligence was not comparable to a human being but it was trained to understand certain jestures and to diffreciate between certain movements, Perseus prodding the beast was something he did out of boredom. Conditioning the creature to hate him and thus isolating Zeus and Hera in the Mount for their evil to reside only in the divine but things have taken a drastic turn--""Perseus was a fool for tormenting the beast, he knew full well that it was their only means of reaching the divine. Who knows as to why he poked the beast to anger, in such a way."
"It seems Perseus was holding out on Kurai--"
"Dammit- I shouldn't have pooked the beast till it waxed hatred against me, an outsider requests to head up the mount to meet the Olympians and I'm not even sure if we'll be able to get through without it trying to eat either one of us. It definitely doesn't like me and it definitely won't adhere to the ritual now it's shaken, guess I'm taking a terrible gamble."
"Thought Perseus, he walked along the edge of the crater pacing closer and closer to the Hydra with Kurai following him."
"I'm hoping he can't tell that I am uneasy- either way it's a mystery until proven otherwise."
"He reassured himself, his shoulders tense and subtly jitters flickering along his frame."
"The men came upon the Hydra, shy 20 feet away from where it had currently laid. Perseus was extremely hesitant and his anxiety spiked ferociously as the moment of reckoning came."
"Kurai, there may be a chance that the Hydra angrily lashes out against us. That is fine, all we need to do is subdue the beast without harming it, it doesn't need to be beaten into submission but calmed enough to understand a message."
"Perseus stabbed his spear into the ground, he cupped his hands and formed a cone around his mouth. He took a deep breathe in, swallowing his anxiety and hoping that this- that this may not be his last."
"Μεγάλο Φίδι!"(Greek for, "Great Serpent/Big Snake!")
"The Hydra immediately awakened from it's rest, it's heads rising up and then turning about to see the source of the great noise. The surprise and awe in it's face quickly turned into anger and malice, a loud gutteral hissing emmanated from it's direction and slowly it turned about seeing Perseus, the pest that had tormented for days on end!"
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
"It screeched, upset and seeking revenge it charged for the two!"
