The original is better no doubt, but Korra gets way too much shit. It was amazing too. It's just not better than the original, because you can't beat Sokka's comedy, and you can't beat the epicness of the other chars, like Uncle Iroh, etc..

I'll be real, I liked season 1 of Korra. But as a story, it totally falls off and loses my interest super fast after season 2 starts.
I hated the whole evil Avatar thing, I hated the revival of Airbenders (in the way they did it) and the destruction of the Avatar line. I liked the story of the first Avatar (Wan), that is one of things of merit in Korra imo.
It wasn't a complete mess or anything, but I mentally retcon it from Avatar canon tbh. I pretend it doesn't exist. lol

I'm convinced if they wanted to focus on a badass female Avatar they should've went back to tell the story of Kyoshi. It would've been far better received (and just all around better imo).

They did and its miles better lol, can't even compare the two.

Problem is that no enemies would have been on par with Ozai or Azula. But they did the best with what they had. The way I see it it's like Star Wars with the prequel and the main trilogy.
