I agree with lamby on this. I recommend maybe the assassin somehow placed a tracking a device on marin or on her belongings. I wonder if such a device exists in the One Piece world. Maybe Marin finds said device and uses it against the assassin with a plan from her crew.

We started on Zou but we didn't finish that story, which ever island finishes first directs your canon storyline; that's if you want it in that way.

We can get into Zou after Rubeck island, I kinda need this since I have to finish my story for Gerald so I can get to my next island.

some of them are fruits that were never added, and since the places they would be at have been cleared it is unlikely people will go to them again. So it makes more sense to use them elsewhere and have them be useful, rather than just be at their canon locations for no real reason

plus it is more fun to use them for more major NPCs, rather than minor characters that don't do much
