Nowhere in the manga does it say consuming a fruit increases your strength, speed, vitality, etc.. So I dunno why they do here. Take those boosts away, instead of an actual canon one.

hmm but say Aokiji has sea stone cuffs on or is in the sea. I'm sure he still can get gold. He can just also turn into ice.

I don't really see a problem with it other than snow being able to make ice cold. But if you think about it just like snow making the person cold instead and not the ice then it makes sense imo.

I think for the specific example of ice and snow ice is always going to be colder than snow so it is weird for sure. But take magma and fire. Either magma could be hotter than fire or fire could be hotter than magma IRL. So it is also element dependent.

We could go into detail with each devil fruit and say how it works against each other DF, but that would be a large matrix. It's probly just better to do a specific thing to the specific ones we find.

If we want to give ice a +1 resist to snow then that kinda does make sense to me. But I don't want to generalize it. Either way works imo.

if anything we should buff Yonko to 95 and another store upgrade :catakainu:
