It’s becoming a chore to read with same old storylines just different coat of a series.

the only few series I’ve decided to keep are strictly seinen series like berserk and kingdom (though kingdom is feeling like a shounen slop on occasions)

That’s why I dropped most if not all of them.


Or maybe im getting old and at the stage to move on lol

Been replaying Pokémon Scarlet after selling the game and the Switch, only to purchase it back lol

Just got two Team Star members left the fighting and fairy ones, then Elite 4, Champion, Nemona, Area Zero, the whole DLC 1 (Teal Mask), DLC 2 (Indigo Disk), DLC-Post story, Gym Rematches, Catching Legendaries and then Raid Battles left to do.

Then after that just go around breeding Pokemon and catching. Just like i did before lol

Once done, then its time for some games to pick up

I have started a second playthrough of scarlet but havent gone further than leaving the academy as I want to use a shiny but have yet to hatch one even though I must have done 100s of eggs lol

My team is varied depending on who's next (so gym, titan, and team star type)

But i have been using the three starters with their hidden abilities, Clodsire, Gyarados, Garchomp (i ended up getting a 2nd one in preparation for the DLC - Indigo Disk), amongst some others that i never used in my original run, including a Level 20 Ogerpon lol

I still got to find a way to IV then EV train many that includes resetting the EVs for the playthrough pokemon and not forgetting to breed many of them.

I started looking for natures that compliment the personality of the pokemon i want to use. I recently started a few themed runs. A bug only run of Sword with spy themed names for the pokemon, with my character's backstory being that he's a spy sent to infiltrate the Galar league to find out what Rose is up to. When i sent over a few Ralts from my other savefile, they were HR Agents sent from Headquarters to help find the right recruits for the team.
I started a fresh Scarlet run with only water types named after naval ranks and equipment, with my character being a military brat, of the same rank but in a different branch of their organisation as the Sword protagonist. I then bought Violet, with the protagonist using more evil coded pokemon because they and their family are on the run from the spy organisation. I haven't fully decided on that team yet.

Most of my pokemon time is still spent of my shiny living dex. I still need that damn family of three Maushold (and a few regional variants of meowth) before i have every shiny form available in the Paldea base game.

The only time i ever get to a theme-playthrough its based on what gym or elite 4/champion i will be facing. The only other times i did something similar then break it immediately with a capture of Starly and Swellow in Platinum and Emerald right off the bat. Only to realise what i did right after i beat the champion lol

I try and not get members just to counter gyms or other bosses, but sometimes you kind of naturally do it early game. I also try and plan teams before I play the games; and am usually annoyed/disappointed when a pokemon I would use is locked to post game lol (the most recent example of this is Slither Wing and I hated how they locked all but one paradox behind Area Zero)

On my first playthrough of X/Y last year I had to hack to evolve and put in the mega stone for the mega I wanted to use (Scizor)
