Captain Kuro: The Battle Begins! - #10

Captain Kuro was cornered, and he showed his claws. The man turned from innocent butler to mischievous pirate in one gentle stance. The aura the man presented made Rafiki’s blood boil. A man worthy of the name A Hundred Plans Kuro. Finally, the claws came out.

Kuro cut the vines, using a technique Rafiki had seen before. Indeed, Kuro had used the same technique earlier. As before, Rafiki’s body seem to trace Kiro’s movements. The right eye of Rafiki twitched, a signal of his body copying.

Quickly, Rafiki pulled out his weapon of choice that was strapped to his back: Sarutobi. a long thick wooden pole almost as big as Rafiki. Sarutobi literally meaning “Monkey Jump”.

Captain Kuro wasted no time, spinning like a madman with those claws, effectively becoming a small hurricane of claws, aiming to to overrun the duo. Again, Rafiki’s right eye twitched. The Monkey King took a step forward, stepping in front of Shin, and raised Surutobi above his head. His stance was eerily familiar.

[Rafiki] “Cat Swipe!!”
Cat Swipe: Captain Kuro swipes with one of his hands, using the five katanas to cut down a target.
Requirement: 21 Mastery, 21 Strength, 21 Speed
Rank: C

DPS: Strength [41-60: 3. Wall/Tree Level] + C-Rank [+1] = 61-80: 4. Small Building Level

Attack Collision: (Kuro) 41-60: 3. Wall/Tree Level vs. (Rafiki) 61-80: 4. Small Building Level = (Rafiki) 1-20: 1. Below Street Level

In an identical movement than Kuro had done, Rafiki swiped down with pole in hand, using it to replace the claws. The movement was the same, but the power was greater; simply put, Rafiki was stronger. The tip of the pole would intend to collide with the tornado, the strength behind Rafiki’s attack hopefully stopping it cold and remaining impact traveling through Kuro’s hands.

Assuming, but not deciding, it was successful, Shin had an open look.

All Right! Here Comes Shin! Part 6
Black-Cat Kuros!

(@Ichimonji @kakashi19283 )

Focused on Kuro's movement, Shin looked closely at move that he made. Seeing how he handle himself against the Venus Flytrap, the skyman was in awe. He was amazed, and quickly understood that he needed to take him out quickly. As Kuro made his way towards the duo, Shin smiled as he prepared himself to counter him.

"You're not as weak as you seem"

Just as he was about to make his move, he stopped moving as he saw Kuro's Cat Spin. Due to the spinning, Shin knew that his regular moves would't cut it. Fortunately for him, Rafiki stepped forward. After swinging his staff around, the humandrill started to spin, just like the Black Cat Captain. The blue haired gunman was surprised and extremely happy. Seeing his comrade about to clash with their opponent, Shin didn't want to disappoint, so made up his mind on what do.

Shin held up his blowgun and dashed towards the pair. However, he moved diagonally to keep a safe distance for his target. Blowing into his blowgun, 3 rapid air compressed bullets were shot right at Kuro. Contrary to before, this time Shin activated his jet dial to increase the speed of his attack. If Rafiki's counter is successful, the attack would hit his foe's chest.

Removing his blowgun from his face, Shin stopped movement as he waited to see how the attack impacted him. He also was curious to see what his friend had in his "bag".

Dead-Eye - High:
This is the upgrade version of Dead-Eye. The increase in speed from the jet dial makes the damage on impact much greater. He generally aims for the arms or ribs. DPR: B (3 x bullet) (Requires 41 mastery)

Spinning madly with his Cat Claws, Captain Kuro sought the lives of the two individuals in front of him. A polite butler, turned into a mad pirate. The change in facial expression, behavior, and bloodlust was like night and day, and Kaya was lost for words, incapable of doing anything but watching on as things unfolded. The Cat Claws collided with Rafiki's fighting staff, which shared most of the same movements with Captain Kuro's own technique - a detail that he did not miss. Putting his all into the Cat Claws, Captain Kuro aimed to push through, but to no avail. Rafiki was physically stronger, a consequence of his inhuman physique, and Humandrill physiology. Captain Kuro's spinning attack was broken, and some stress even reach his hands, though not much due to the length of the katanas that he used for claws. As he took a few steps backward uncontrollably, due to Rafiki's overwhelming attack, Captain Kuro, at a loss for balance, was hit in the chest by a couple of air compressed bullets.

Shin's DPR: 41-60: 3. Wall/Tree Level + B:+2 = 81-100: 5. Large Building Level

Captain Kuro's Durability: 21-40: 2. Small Building Level

DPR 1 higher than dura: quite effective

Skidding backward from the blow, Captain Kuro came to a stop. His chest was bleeding, and some blood trailed from the corner of his mouth - but luckily, the bullets were air and not metal, and as such the wound was not deadly, for now. Realizing that Rafiki was physically stronger, and Shin was a ranged fighter, Captain Kuro found himself in a severely disadvantageous fight, outnumbered. However, he had an ace up his sleeve. The technique that allowed him to defeat an entire ship of Marines. A technique so deadly, that even the great Captain Kuro himself could not fully control it.

But, he had no choice. A glare of his glasses hiding his eyes behind it, Captan Kuro suddenly slumped. His arms fell beside him, limp, and his body started to sway. Something was happening, and Rafiki and Shin better be ready for it.

Shakushi...

With teamwork, they duo had landed a considerable blow. Kuro, pushed back, took a minute to compose himself. Rafiki watched as Kuro’s aura changed, as he for into a whole new stance, of a man possessed. This time, Rafiki took a step back.

[Rafiki] “W-W-Watch out! This is one of the highest bounties men in East Blue!”
As a “bounty hunter”, the Humandrill would know. His eyes were glued to Kuro. Pole at the ready, he dared not to make the first move. It was a mix of fear and caution. As a close-range fighter, he’d have to wait.

Rafiki planned to use Kuro’s techniques against him for one reason; he did not want to reveal moves with WG allegiance. Though Rokushiki is a secret martial arts, the agent didn’t want to leave things to chance.

[Rafiki] “W-W-Watch out! This is one of the highest bounties men in East Blue!”

Hearing loud and clear, Shin swiftly took out a pop green that he inserted into his weapon. The jet dial still active, the skyman didn't wait to shoot his ammo. Understand the type of enemy he was against, Shin decided to go on the offensive. Moving fast, the ammo released mid air 5 star shaped plants. If successful, the attack would cut Kuro's arms. By using the increase speed gaining from the jet dial, Shin designed this move to be the most valuable one from his pop green collection.

"This should slow him down"

Yelling back at Rafiki, Shin kept his eye on his foe. With what he saw and Rafiki's warning, Shin knew better than to turn his back to his target.

Swaying back and forth as if he was in a trance, Captain Kuro had the attention of his two opponents. Rafiki decided to stay still and observe for now, his watchful monkey eyes constantly prying on every movement Captain Kuro made. Shin, on the other hand, went onto the offensive. As he put his blowgun into his mouth and was about to fire, Captain Kuro suddenly accelerated. The set of Shuriken ripped through the air, but Captain Kuro was gone. He had literally disappeared from in front of his opponents.

Suddenly, slash marks started to appear on different spots on the ground, sporadically and impossible to predict. Captain Kuro was hard to see, but one could assume wherever the slash marks appeared, Captain Kuro had just disappeared from. Some of the slash marks appeared on the wall next to the doorway where Kaya was standing. Dangerously close, but it seemed it was not intentional, for Kaya was safe, and Captain Kuro was gone as quickly as he had cut. Suddenly, a set of five katanas swiped from behind Shin. It was Captain Kuro.

But as soon as he swiped, he was on the move yet again. Next, he came for Rafiki, the five katanas slashing from his right, aimed toward his right thigh. And yet again, as soon as he slashed, Captain Kuro was gone. A powerful, seemingly perpetual, and unresting onslaught. Even after he had attacked the two men, more and more slash marks started to appear on various parts of the ground, the trunks of nearby trees, the rocks and stones in the area, among other.

Captain Kuro was going all out.

Deathmatch with Kuro - #12

Hundred Plans Kuro swayed back and forth like a demon. Shin heeded the call, shooting to maim. With no warning, the man blurred and disappeared. What came next was a state of panic.

Cuts and slashes appeared on various places in the terrain. Kuro appeared for a second, before his trance took him again. Rafiki looked around, not knowing what to do, where to look. Suddenly, blades cut against his right leg. Rafiki took a knee and grunted. Blood damped his hairy leg.

The Humandrill looked around intensely, before jumping. High in the air, Rafiki looked down at the ongoing destruction. Before he began falling down into the air, Rafiki kicked his legs. Bouncing on the air itself, the agent stayed afloat through Geppo.

[Rafiki] “D-D-Damn it!”

Safe in the air, or so he thought, Rafiki waited for an opportunity. He would wait till Kuro finished before counterattacking. Unfortunately, he had no way of helping Shin down in the ground at the moment.

Shin was completely taken aback from Kuro's Shakushi. As he foe disappeared and reappeared, Shin started to wonder how he was able to move faster, after all he took. He knew that he wouldn't go down that easy, but he wasn't ready for his power up. Seeing the different slash being made, the skyman quickly looked towards Kaya to see if she was safe. In the same time that he saw that she survived the attacks, Shin was hit by Kuro's slash in the back.

"URGHHH...."

Grunting as he felt the pain, Shin fell on his knees. He almost dropped his blowgun, luckily he caught just as he was about to drop it. Feeling quickly his wounds. It hurt but it was bare able. Getting up, Shin quickly took out another pop green. Looking around, Shin saw at that moment Rafiki being also a victim of Kuro's rapid attacks.

Looking at his comrade as he used his Geppo, the blue haired marksman smiled, he loved witnessing unique fighting style. The humandrill was starting to grow on him. Unable to clearly see where his enemy was, Shin decided to shoot his ammo nearby. If successful, a Rafflesia flower would sprout up and release a foul smell capable of disabling Kuro's senses.

Midori Boshi: Rafflesia (緑星・ラフレシア , "Green Star: Rafflesia"): The user throws a Pop Green at his enemy, not aiming for them specifically but a place near them. The pop green reveals a rather large Rafflesia flower. The flower then excretes a foul smelling odor, disabling the enemy's senses with its stench. Stunning enemy for 1 turn. (21 Mastery)

Captain Kuro went into a frenzy, swinging his body left and right a number of times hypnotically before disappearing from sight. The entire area was now at his mercy as his Cat Claws ravaged anything and everything in sight indiscriminately. Both Rafiki and Shin found themselves at the mercy of the Caw Claws - the former suffering a slash on his thigh while the latter suffered slashes on his back. However, it seemed like Captain Kuro did not have full control of his attacks, which explained the shallowness of the wounds. Rafiki moved up into the air, using Geppou to sustain his airborne position and stay out of range. Shin took out another Midori Boshi and shot it at the ground nearby. As Shin was busy doing that, he would have found himself at the mercy of the Cat Claws once again, this time his shoulder. However, he would have gotten his shot off successfully. The Midori Boshi spawned a large flower that suddenly started to unleash a deathly stink. It took a few seconds, and a few slashes cut down the flower as well, but before long, Captain Kuro had to breath in and the foul smell got to him. His Shakushi was cancelled, and he reappeared, coughing.

Ngh... what is this...!

Captain Kuro said, his eyes blurring and watering due to the foul stench. Shin's brilliant idea to get Captain Kuro out of his Shakushi trance, now offered an opening for the two to strike.

The minute Kuro broke his Shakushi due to the effect of his Midori Boshi: Rafflesia, Shin didn't even wait a second before this golden opportunity. Shin swiftly activated his jet dial in his blowgun and blew 3 air compressed bullets at his foe. This time he aimed for the chest. Removing his weapon from his face, Shin smiled as he watched the scene. If successful, the attack would cause heavy damage due to the increase in speed with the jet dial.

"You're quite the interesting fellow.."

Holding his blowgun, Shin kept the jet dial activated in case his enemy was still up for more. After all he went through, Shin knew better than underestimate Kuro.

Deathmatch with Kuro - #13

Hundred Plans Kuro was in a frenzy. Rafiki keep afloat, waiting for his chance. Shin let out a flower, it emitting an odor most foul. Rafiki stayed outside of the fumes, until his eyes traced Kuro; the pirate had come to a stop, dizzy.

Rafiki did not waste a breath. He immediately used Geppo to propel himself diagonally downwards at his top speed. He had his wooden pole cocked back, his eyes brimming with energy. With a shout heard in the town nearby, Rafiki came down on Kuro like a meteor.

[Rafiki] “Shigan: Cue!”

The wooden pole came down on Kuro’s head with the speed of a Shigan, like a large gunshot. Rafiki aimed at Kuro’s upper back from above, the impact point such that it would create a Large Building size crater. With his dexterity and skill, Rafiki would use Geppo to re-aim should Kuro move, noticing Shin’s attack. A twin attack aiming to knock out Hundred Plans Kuro.

In the crater, Rafiki would be caught in the fumes. After he came down, he felt much like Kuro, disoriented and lost.

The powerful stench of the atrocity that Shin had unleashed caught Captain Kuro by surprise. Disoriented and his senses overwhelmed by the foul smell, Captain Kuro was left at the mercy of his enemies. Strange weapons, poisons, a Rokushiki user and a monkey that could copy almost anything, the strange abilities - as well as the numbers - left Captain Kuro overwhelmed. The air bullets hit him, and Rafiki's attack came crashing down on him. When the obscurity from Rafiki's crushing attack cleared, Captain Kuro was seen in the crater, defeated. Kaya, who had been holding her breath in sheer suspense, suddenly found the ending of the battle leaving her weak. She fell to her knees, finally exhaling. It was over. She did not know what to think of her saviors. She did not know what to think of Captain Kuro. All of it was too much, and Kaya would need some time to think it all through. But, immediate danger was gone for now, thanks to the efforts of the two strangers, Shin and Rafiki. What these two men would decide to do now, and whether they would become friends, foes, or part as strangers, all remained to be seen. But one thing was for certain.

The days of the menacing Captain Kuro were a thing of the past.

Deathmatch with Kuro - #14

Hundred Plans Kuro lay defeated by the teamwork of the Humandrill and the Skypiea. Two people of distinct backgrounds coming together for a common goal.

In the crater, Rafiki waited for the after-effects of Rafflesla to wear off. He bent down, grabbing Kuro by his coat. The pirate still alive. With a heave, the large Humandrill placed the pirate over his shoulder and jumped out of the crater.

Rafiki turned to Shin.

[Rafiki] “Excellent work, friend. We should make sure the girl is ok.”

Rafiki turned to Kaya a few meters away. He nodded to Shin; Rafiki would not go near her as he had Kuro over his shoulder, the benefactor of her fear. It seemed the Devil Pirates, Frayz and company, had left during the commotion.

Rafiki waited for Shi. He kept Kuro, for as the “bounty hunter” or he purported to be, Kuro’s head was valuable.

Hearing Rafiki loud and clear, Shin follow his lead. Seeing that he apprehended the dead Kuro, the blue haired skyman didn't think twice. Approaching Kaya, Shin smiled at her and offered to help her, by offering his hand.

"Don't need to worry. We took care of him.
Are you ok ? None of his attacks reached you ? "

Smiling at her, Shin tried his best to reassure her. However, it's not an easy task since Shin has a resting sinister-face.
Looking right at her, the skyman was amazed to see that she lived in such a huge house. This new world was really interesting, and he was fascinated.

Farewell But Not Goodbye - #15

Syrup Village had been saved from the monster that was Hundred Plans Kuro. The man had planned for much, but not for an alliance of Humandrill and Skypiea. Who could have seen that coming?

Kaya was ok. After the ordeal, she had thanked them and fed them. It was clear now why the streets were empty before: the town was scarred by Kuro and fear history would repeat itself. Today was the dawn of something new.

Rafiki turned to the horizon to leave, Kuro sling over his shoulder and tied up. He spoke to Shin one last time.
[Rafiki] “Thank for your everything, friend. I hope to see you again and call you friend again.”

[Rafiki] “I hope your adventures are full of life. Goodbye, Sky friend.”

Rafiki offered his hand in a goodbye. He smiled wide. Indeed, while a spy, Rafiki did not stray from friendship. He knew how powerful bonds were. Today, he hoped to have made a strong one to last in these seas.

With the same calm strut he came to Syrup Village, Rafiki disappeared over the horizon. He was to jail Captain Kuro in Impel Down.

The Rise of the Unknown

Over a year has passed since Syrup Village was claimed the territory of a notorious pirate crew. Since then, peace and harmony were never observed in that place. Many would attempt to conquer the said village but a mere Skypiean, with the help of a feisty Humandrill has made it at last.

Another year has passed, the legendary captain of the most dynamic crew in all of the blues, Larsi the Quake has announced his retirement. In line with this, the crew partly disbanded and part ways to make peaceful lives; however, Landayan Morrow, aka The Gambit, who was the last person Larsi journeyed within the New World was named the new captain of the crew and paved his way to recreate the brand and rediscover the world. He, along with his trusted lieutenants that he has yet to gather would be conquering the world. But in order to gain their trust and loyalty, he must be formidable enough.

Shortly after the meeting, Gambit rang his den den mushi, reaching one of the most stealth members of the crew. This man has been hiding in the midst of solitude and has yet to unravel the mysteries surrounding his identity. If this person answered Gambit's call, certainly, the Vampirate would have the most dangerous force across the seas.

"Join us in the new world. But before meeting up, make sure the world knows about you. You've been invisible for far too long, my friend..."

Gambit paused momentarily, wanting to hear what the person on the other line has to say. If he's reasonable, the newly named captain would continue, "We need to bring forth peace and harmony to the Village of Syrup. After all, your ability sounds like it."

Here Comes Muk and the Hidden Pirates !
@Gambit

" Don't worry, I'm on my way. I'll gather up everyone on my territory. I'll call once we've all assembled and on route.

Morrow.... Nice to hear from you. "

S
miling as he ending the call, Muk aka General Cough Syrup has been monitoring the East Blue territories. Hidden from the public eye, it enabled him to join secretly the Black Market scenery. At first, it was to serve the Silver Hair Pirates and to pass his boredom, but he quickly started relish in it. He even got his devil fruit through the organisation. Joining Gambit in his quest was still primary, but now he had personal goal to achieve.

Walking out of the establishment he was in, Muk made his way towards a tavern to collect his primary team. The ones who've been patiently waiting for the time to move, and this time was now. As he entered, Muk just said Time to go! We've been called to join the crew in the New World.

As those words was spoken, several people dropped what they drinking or doing, and walked towards the exit. Each revealing a huge grin on their face. Already outside, Muk waited until everyone was out.

"Oh my! Seems that the Captain is finally ready to call out the A-Team. Good for him to come to his senses ! OHOHOHOHO"

Coming out from the middle of the crowd that was forming in front of him, Frieza, one of the two lieutenants seemed to be the first to express his thoughts. The loudest of the crew, Frieza was known to be most vocal one, and it seemed that his words resonated with the rest.

Looking around, it seemed that only one was missing. Janemba, the second lieutenant. Known for his trolling antics, he knew that he was nearby. It was a habit for him to constantly be hidden. It's one of his most annoying trait, of never being at the right place at the right time, although thankfully it does come in handy in a battle.

Making their way towards their ship that was hidden from the public. Muk and the crew walked nonchalantly towards the vessel, when a red streak jumped out from the trees right next to them. Some of them jumped a bit, but Frieza and Muk didn't even flinch or stop their movement. They all knew that it was Janemba.

" Jijijijiji ! So ready to set sail, gents ? "

Looking back at him, Muk just simply sighed and nodded gently to follow them. As Janemba joined them, the leader finally started to explain them the call and the new leadership in the crew. Hearing the information, they all kept quiet, and smiled, knowing that all this patience was worth it.

Hearing what Muk had to say, Gambit smiled, knowing that he gained the trust of one of the most formidable members of the old crew led by Larsi.

"Very well. After you raised our flagship on that island, KG and the rest of the NBA warlords from the East Coast and West Coast will be joining your parade. A new ship I recently built will be coming for you, as I believe that your personal raft will no longer accommodate you and the others."

Gambit lit a cigar, puffed it before exhaling a thick smoke across the wind. A wind blew past him which quickly dispersed all the smoke he breathed out.

"Tell Freeza that I already surpassed him from being a racist. Hahahahahaha!"

And finally, before ending the dialogue, "Zeff is expecting you. He is more than willing to share his technique and some of his recipes for our crew. I shall be seeing you soon, my friend."

Here Comes Muk and the Hidden Pirates !
@Gambit

Walking towards the docks, Muk and the troupes were all move with great pride. You see, they weren't just waiting for their time to come.
In the last few years, Muk, Dr.Over-Shot, Janemba and Frieza were quietly planning something that could put them into Yonko status. Knowing that Captain Larsi didn't have the vision, they preferred not to tell the rest of the crew what they were doing or planning.
At that time, it was just an idea that came from Frieza. The other three then added their own two cents on the matter. Today that idea, now became the most valuable item that the crew had. So much that those four became important players in the underground.

Arriving at the dock, the new ship was waiting for them with Dr.Over-Shot right next to it.

" Well. If it isn't the rest of the troupe. I got everything ready, General. By the way, I already secured "the apples". We're ready to set sail to the Baratie restaurant. "

Smiling as he listens to Dr. Over-Shot, Muk who was leading the troupes, just nodded as he entered the ship. Followed by Dr. Over-Shot, Frieza, Janemba, and then the rest.
As for the rest of crew, they all were over-joyed. During the years, they didn't stay patiently in the East Blue becomes of their loyalty to the pirate crew. They stayed because they believed in Muk and the Heretics. Heretics, is the name that Janemba calls Muk, Dr. Over-Shot, Frieza and himself.

Next post in the Baratie
