Akira decided to delegate the task of dealing with Uvogin and his group of Scabbards to X and Prometheus, while he would find an alternate path to their goal, which is the Beast Pirates. With the confirmation of the duo as they made their way towards Flower Capital, Akira stayed in Ebisu Town – taking the opportunity to read the letter. But before he could open the letter, the wind unravels its contents as Hera would work much like an assistant, a reminder that Hera is still watching him. The boy did not flinch, instead he would quietly read the message that the Scabbards have seem to left behind.

The letter revealed what Akira originally may have somewhat thought of, a different group of Scabbards. Though in truth a fake group of men posing as the Scabbards to draw them out, not only that but a symbol that Akira would recognize, Uvogin’s symbol is in the letter, is he trying to do something traitorous? A ploy to find the Poneglyph? Or… someone used the Mayhem’s authority. Only Uvogin could answer that these questions. It was unfortunate, this letter would have been far more useful for X and Prometheus than him. But since it is a different group than the real Scabbards themselves, the duo would more than likely figure things out when a confrontation would be met. The boy himself would have to find out who managed to send the letter to them. His first thoughts were the Gifters, that appeared just by the outskirts of the town chasing the girl.

The girl.

Akira suddenly had the thought. Why is she being chased? Akira have two ways, for the time being to chase his own leads. Finding the girl might take long, or so he would have thought. Before long, the very same girl would come running towards the kunoichi whom was in prayers. The use of the word ‘sensei’ indicates connection, but that’s not what Akira care much for.

Walking up towards Shinobu and the young girl, Akira decided to find out if the young girl would lead him to the Beast Pirates. The letter addressed to the Beast Pirates is kept inside the pockets, probably for the best that Uvogin's involvement isn't mentioned too much.

“Fortunately for you, it seems like those Scabbards aren’t the real ones.”

Akira directly spoke to Shinobu, for without making too much of a conversation, the boy immediately switched his attention to the girl, wanting answers.

“You, little girl. Why did the Beast Pirates attack you just awhile ago?”

The lich guards stood before X and Prometheus, their presence intimidating yet hollow. X stepped forward, exuding confidence and authority.

"We're here to see Uvogin. The Red Scabbards have something he needs, and we intend to ensure he gets it," X declared, his voice firm and unwavering.

The liches exchanged glances, their expressions inscrutable, before begrudgingly allowing X and Prometheus passage into the castle.

As they navigated the dark corridors, the anticipation of the impending confrontation hung heavy in the air. X and Prometheus could sense the fear of the Red Scabbards ahead, heightening their resolve.

But as they neared their goal, a new opportunity presented itself. X had heard rumors of a powerful pirate in Wano, one who possessed a Devil Fruit he coveted: Page One, with the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Spinosaurus.

X's grudge against Uvogin simmered beneath the surface, but his pragmatism prevailed. He needed both the Devil Fruit and Uvogin's resources to find it. And so, he devised a plan to offer a temporary alliance, leveraging their mutual interests.

Stopping at a corner, X's smile turned sly as he leaned in to speak to Prometheus.

"We need to be strategic about this. Uvogin's a beast driven by rage and a thirst for revenge. Offering him a simple alliance won't be enough. We need to dangle a juicier carrot. We'll tell him we have a way to deal with Kage permanently," X whispered conspiratorially. "We'll paint a picture of La Spada growing weary of Kage's volatile nature, perhaps even hinting at her desire to see him out of the picture. A poisoned chalice. We send him after Kage, knowing they'll likely destroy each other."

"And once that's done, there's more,"
X continued, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "I plan to make you the new ruler of this place if you're interested. But it involves you playing along and supporting me in the future."

"My ultimate goal is to be one of the Mayhems, and if there is no spot available, I plan on making one soon. What is your answer to my offer?"

A Grim Punishment - #17
@God_Usopun @Sea

Ebisu Town - Overlook
Ebisu Town had seen the execution of its leader at the hands of the Red Scabbards. Akira would be the only one who knew that such display was merely a ruse to draw out the real Scabbards, though the reason would be unknown. Treason was a regular occurrence in the Spada Pirates - The Shadow was living proof of that Grim fact. Perhaps by chance or off chance, Akira would hold valuable information. Information he chose not to share at that time. Instead, his eyes narrowed when he saw the girl. Oto, the purple-haired girl he met outside town, ran into her sensei's arms, the latter troubled by the Scabbard's actions.

As the plaza cleared, only Akira, Toko, Shinobu, Tama, and Onimaru remained.

[Tama] "Oh! Mr. Bad Man! S-s-s-sure, I-I-I-I'l tell you. I overhead them talking about my abilities, wanting to use them against the Spadas."- the girl said, answering over fear than anything else. "You see, I can control any beasts, even those under the influence of a homie, with these bal-"-said the girl, before a voice interupted her

[Shinobu] "Tamaa-san! Watch your tongue! That "bad man" is none other than La Spada's right-hand-man! Watch your surroundings carefully - I know I taught you that."- said the portly woman, locking eyes with Akira "That's right. I know who you are. I also know you could have killed us if you wanted to. What do you want? Your people have done enough - even turned the Red Scabbards into dishonor!"

The seasoned veteran knew better. She intervened from her young apprentice speaking too soon. Signaling to Onimaru, the still transformed monk grabbed Yasuke's corpse and the still laughing inconsolably Toko. The Hero would have a burial fit for a Shimotsuki. However, the grim reality of the Red Scabbards, their only hope, burned a hole through the heart of the people of Wano.

Flower Capitol - Castle Rear
The Liches stood guard at the gate. However, the stature and spirit of the two men made them buckle, allowing them passage. The dark corridors set the stage for the grim encounter. The Spadas thrived in dissent, constantly plotting to betray one another and seize higher mantles. In this world, only the strong would survive. X offered an alliance to Prometheus, whose grin turned into manic laughter. The two were like peas in a pod. X had been a keen observer and noticed Prometheus' desire to take Uvogin's place and his hate for Akira.

An alliance forged in desire and treason.

[Prometheus] "You got yourself a deal."- answered Prometheus. "Well, until I turn on you next. Promethahahahaha!"- warned the Firebringer, casting a cloud on the allegiance
The corridors split into four paths. The decision was made for them. The sounds of clashing metal, grunts of pain, and shouting came from the middle path. This path cut through the base of the tree that housed the castle, with showering water accentuating the sounds of battle. The two rushed towards the light at the end of the tunnel, coming to a halt at the mouth of a large courtyard at the back of the castle grounds.

A recognizable voice made the earth tremble.
[Uvogin] "Y-Y-You bastards! Y-Y-You've think you've won?! Ugh...."- the voice of a true giant shook the airwaves, the pain in his voice evident. "If you won't reveal the location of the Poneglyph, tthe Red Scabbards will find their end here!"- the giant declared, struggling to his feet
Directly to the east stood Uvogin, the Oars Giant corpse infused with his soul. Towering at 60 meters tall, his frame loomed over even the castle. However, the imposing First Mate of the Flagship had seen better days. A large gash nearly split his right leg in two, and several sword slashes marked his body. Across from him to the west, three samurai stood, breathing heavily. Kin'emon lead the pack, gripping his sword with intent. Ashura Doji held his broken left shoulder. Raizo was on one knee, catching his breath.

These were the real samurai of Wano—the Red Scabbards.

[Kin'emon] "Dishonor on your house! You use our crest to commit murder!- angrily responded the Kin'emon, confirming those in Ebisu Town were impersonators. "You wanted to draw us out? Here were are to silence your deception!"- said the samurai

Across from X and Prometheus, north, the three masked men they had seen in Ebisu and followed to the castle lay face-down, defeated. The symbol on their exposed faces revealed their affiliation with the Beast Pirates. Blood dripped from Kawamatsu's sword, held fixed above the fallen Beast Pirates. Uvogin had used the Beast Pirates to draw out the Scabbards, but the group proved stronger than anticipated.

X and Prometheus had walked into a battleground.

" This is an exchange of favor. If you decided to turn on me, I would not mind it. I am focused on my goal and solely on it. Shaking hands with you is just part of the journey there. Whether or not you stand with me at the finish line will depend on your goal."

As this scheme was being discussed, a loud noise that sounded like a battle attracted X's attention. He rushed towards it to investigate.

As he reached the origin, X assessed the chaotic scene, his mind working swiftly. The battle was between Uvogin and the Red Scabbards. It was fierce, with both sides worn and desperate. This was the perfect moment to intervene and set his plan in motion.

X leaned closer to Prometheus, his voice a low, conspiratorial whisper. "This is the moment we've been waiting for. Stay close and follow my every move."

With deliberate steps, X advanced into the fray, his presence commanding immediate attention. His voice sliced through the din of battle, resonating with dark authority. "What do we have here?" His gaze locked onto Uvogin, dripping with sinister amusement. "Look at yourself, Uvogin. Once a feared giant, now barely holding your ground."

X's eyes burned with a dangerous mix of ambition and malice. "It seems reinforcements have arrived," he continued, his tone mocking and threatening. "But the real question is, who among you will beg for our assistance?"

He paused, letting his words hang heavily in the air, his sinister grin widening. "Decide quickly. Kage is not far behind, and if he joins this battle, it will lead to your annihilation. Who is ready to make a deal for survival?"

Turning to the Red Scabbards, X added with a dark chuckle, "And perhaps, in exchange for your cooperation, we might restore peace around here by replacing Uvogin. But first, do any of you have information on a certain Page One?"

Akira asked Tama regarding her involvement with the Beast Pirates, in particularly the Gifters in which she would respond in panic, fear overtaking her rationale to keep quiet. This is a mistake, not from Tama – but from Akira. Her answer in which she could control any beasts is dangerous – in particularly her powers are in direct conflict with La Spada’s powers in Wano Kuni. Because this meant that there is a possibility some Homies are not under the control of La Spada, and that is how perhaps the location of the Poneglyph is being concealed, outside of the fact that she could sort of wrestle away the Grim Reaper’s powers to some extent which could lead to her death. Shinobu immediately interrupted her, where Akira realized, hopefully – La Spada or Hera did not catch on to that fact.

With the shift in topics as Shinobu directed the focus towards Akira’s identity, the boy followed the conversation along. Though he would have to lower the hostility from Shinobu before he could gain more information. Shinobu made note of how they have turned their own people, the Red Scabbard against them, but the boy himself know that is not true, and has even mentioned that fact once.

“As I have said, those aren’t your people. Is your trust in the samurai honour that fragile? That you would believe the Red Scabbards have turned against your people?”

Akira questioned Shinobu on the Scabbard’s loyalty to them. One can say it is more than likely given that they are under La Spada now, but to act like this outside of the Mayhem’s orders, or to believe that they wouldn’t attempt to trick Uvogin can be quite unlikely if they are truly as honourable as some may have believed.

“I’m here to search for the location of the Beast Pirates and deal with them.”

Akira declared, Shinobu’s distrust of him made him somewhat impossible to have them tell him the location of the Poneglyph, and she is more likely to lead him into countless dead-ends or die than to show him the way, if she knew. There is a better chance of asking Tama directly and figure its location out, or find a lead to it but Shinobu’s grip onto her made it unlikely. A working relationship is easier to deal with.

“So. Did you know where are the Beast Pirates or see where they came from?”

Akira shifted his focus towards Tama, though his face masked – his slight head motion towards Tama indicated for her to provide the answers. Hopefully, the answer would be given, but if Shinobu remains unwilling, he would have to use the letter.

Ebisu Town - Overlook
Ebisu Town lay fragmented by the death of their hero. Standing in the pool of blood,

[Shinobu] "It's been more than 20 years since Oden-sama sacrificed himself. And still..."- barked the woman, bearing emotions on her chest. "Tch! Why waste my breath? You don't understand what suffering in silence and being betrayed feels like..."- the woman snarked

The kunoichi bore her emotions, not knowing the Shadow would indeed know the plight. Trust. The bigger the trust, the deeper the sense of betrayal. It had been a long 20 years in search of light. The Beast Pirates' reign had ended. Though the people of Wano saw their suffering lessen, for the Spada Pirates were rulers by apathy, freedom still escaped them. The Nine Red Scabbards were their last hope. Suddenly, they had turned on their own people. Shinobu was shaken.

She turned to leave, but Tama spoke out of place once more, pulling at her cloak.

[Tama] "Sensei! Sensei! I saw the "bad man" making the Beast Pirates flee! If we show him the underwater passage, maybe he can dispatch on the Beast Pirates there! That's how they're getting in the capitol"- the young girl said
[Shinobu] "You're worried about the people, Tama. You've grown."- the woman responded lowly. "However, we don't ask a wolf to clear out the sheep den."- the woman openly said

Shinobu was a woman of complexity. This underwater passage seemed to be crucial to the Beast Pirates. However, the veteran kunoichi harbored hatred in her heart for pirates, even those who helped defend Ebisu Town. Akira faced an enemy that swords alone could not slay. He'd need to find the right words or threats to proceed. Not all prophecies are carved with a sword.

Flower Capitol - Castle Rear
X and Prometheus had walked into a battlefield. The Mayhem Giant, Uvogin, was engaged in a deadly battle against the Red Scabbards in a four versus one encounter. The imprint of a fierce clash was evident on the ground and the back of the castle, where a gaping hole yawned. Despite the numerical advantage the samurai held, both sides seemed weary. The ones who executed Yasuie were felled, revealed to be Beast Pirates. Kin'emon's words shone a light on the dim mystery: Uvogin had used the Beast Pirates to draw out the Red Scabbards, those who knew the location of the Poneglyph.

Prometheus commented on the incredible feat of playing the Beast Pirates and matching the infamous Red Scabbards in battle, but it was clear the battle was turning against the Giant. The FIrebringer nodded as X called to him, drawing his scythe weapon, the flame of the blade flickering in his eyes. All heads turned to the newcomers as X spoke.

[Uvogin] "I-I-It's you! Prometheus! What is this?! Don't tell me you're here to betray me?!"- the giant responded, genuinely shocked at X's appearance, once in Udon.

[Kin'emon] "More interlopers..."- Kin'enom whispered to his allies, before his eyes widened upon X's suggesting they beg. "Beg? You are speaking to samurais! The soul of Lord Oden coarse through us! We are prepared to lay down our lives for this country and its people! Bring them all on."- said Kin'emon with passion, casting the other samurai to cheer and get up with renewed motivation
The samurai stood tall, finding their second wind. Kawamatsu moved next to his samurai brethren, shoulder-to-shoulder with the other three Red Scabbards. Their overwhelming strength seemed inevitable. True samurai, their honor knew no limits. Mere words could not satiate them. They were ready to fight all who threatened Wano and its people, determined not to take Yasui's death lying down.

Suddenly, a giant shadow was cast over the battlefield as Uvogin stood up, towering menacingly. His immense frame loomed over the castle, his wounds ignored in the face of battle.
[Uvogin] "Tch! Isis' dream is on the line, I won't falter..."- the giant whispered to himself, finding love to overcome pride. "I'll hand you Paige One on a silver platter, X. A sect of the Beast Pirates are under my command. I'll lead you to them... through the underground passage."- the giant begrudgingly said
Uvogin put his pride aside. The giant's declaration that he would deliver Page One was as much begging as X would get from him. The behemoth prepared himself for battle, his fists clad with black Haki. Whether it would be enough to sway the newcomers, fated to alter the course of this legendary battle, would be a bookmark on Wanos history.

On the other side, there was a marked reaction to Uvogin's words. The mention of the "underground passage" elicited widened eyes from the Red Scabbards as they looked to Kin'emon. Their reactions revealed that this path meant more than just a passage. What were they hiding?

[Raizo] "Kin'emon! If the Beast Pirates have found the passage, that means... We must g-!"- said the shinobi, before being interrupted

[Kin'emon] "I know. We must protect Lord Oden's legacy. Give no quarter!"- screamed Kin'emon, his spirit draped over the battlefield, signaling the start of battle
The battlefield crackled with tension as the two sides prepared to clash, each driven by their own motives. The secrets of the underground passage, the honor of the samurai, and the chaos brought by Uvogin and his allies would soon collide in a confrontation that would decide the fate of the Flower Capitol.

The Red Scabbards' response was more than just passionate. It was a symphony of defiance and honor. Like a chorus of steel, their voices echoed through the courtyard, a resounding testament to the samurai's unyielding commitment to their country and its people.

Uvogin, however, saw an opportunity. Swallowing his pride, his voice boomed, "I'll hand you Page One on a silver platter, X. A sect of the Beast Pirates is under my command. I'll lead you to them... through the underground passage."

The Red Scabbards' reactions to the mention of the underground passage were immediate and explosive. Their eyes widened in alarm, and Raizo's urgent words were abruptly cut off, underscoring the passage's grave significance. This did not escape X's keen eyes.

X turned to Prometheus, his voice a low, sinister whisper, "We accept Uvogin's collaboration for now. Once La Spada's wishes are fulfilled, your reward will come. Angering her would be suicide. Since the Scabbards have no intention of helping us, we should team up with Uvogin."

Prometheus' eyes flickered with understanding and a hint of trepidation. X pulled out his weapons, which seemed to thirst for a bloodbath due to the twisted manipulation they had undergone. The weapons gleamed ominously in the dim light, symbolizing the power shift about to unfold.

X paused, his expression darkening with a vicious smile. "The Poneglyph is what La Spada wants," he continued, his voice dripping with calculated intent. "We'll offer it to her to gain favors. In return, we'll request a territory we can control, free to do as we wish."

"For the time being,"
he paused before continuing, "we can dispose of the nuisances."

As he finished his sentence, X opened fire toward the Scabbards using his weapons, which seemed to laugh maniacally. A single round from both guns simultaneously declared his hostility to the group, the shots ringing out like the opening notes.

Shinobu made her reasoning rather vague, which for some reasons continued to held on to the idea of betrayal despite the boy’s insistence that she is wrong. The boy could only presume that she selectively ignored those words, something which she should consider not doing so. Nevertheless, Akira’s main objective is to acquire information on the Beast Pirates. Though Akira asked Tama on the whereabouts of the Beast Pirates, the conversation took a slight detour as both Tama and Shinobu engages themselves with a conversation of their own with Tama hoping to send Akira to deal with the Beast Pirates, though her idea is promptly shut down when Shinobu disagreed. The boy wasn’t pleased with that, the boy silently crossed his arms as Shinobu presents herself as an obstacle.

Perhaps he should get rid of her
. The boy’s thoughts crossed the line for a moment. Something that Akira would typically not think of, a change so subtle Akira never doubt that thought – yet the boy maintains the non-violent ways. After all, at this point – the boy has made note that the only way to succeed is to gain their trust. The boy would have no choice but to at the very least, change Shinobu’s perception of him. From an enemy to a neutral entity. An impossibility to say the least since Shinobu is aware of his identity. But unlike her, Akirai s willing to bet on the Red Scabbards. Trust. Despite what many may think. Akira’s perception is trust differs from the norm. Trust is a weapon. And he used it against La Spada, albeit that failed. While he has quite a different look on betrayal, considering he is solely responsible for ‘killing’ La Spada – Akira understands the other thing. Suffering in silence. A large part of his life is built upon that suffering.

“You had better be off cleaning out the sheep’s den. But I can tell you, the ‘sheep’ is also a wolf underneath. Life is miserable under the Spada Pirates is it not? The appearance of the Beast Pirates is only going to make it worst. And that’s not considering La Spada herself have yet to tore this place apart to search them out.”

The boy did not mince his words. After all, from one suffering to another. There is no need to provide an ideal solution for their escapism.

“Either you deal with two pirate crews grinding you into dust, or just one that's actively killing off your people. With La Spada, her apathy means she will sooner leave you alone to die. With the Beast Pirates, they are going to take revenge on you people until the last person – just like the fake Scabbards and Yasuke.”

Was it a lie? Who knows. Only La Spada herself can even make that judgement. But Akira have seen how La Spada would quickly leave most things out of her hands once she has achieved her objectives. She would rather have prisoners that she could torture and entertain her rather than an empty soulless ‘home’. Akira decided to show the letter after all, as he passed the letter towards Shinobu. While unlikely that she knew of the Mayhem symbol, either situation did not truly matter for Akira. The boy sooner or later would have to confront Uvogin.

A Grim Punishment - #18

Ebisu Town - Overlook
The death of Yasuie left deep scars on the people of Wano. The Red Scabbards, once seen as beacons of hope, had made a distinct declaration that cut deep into the hearts of the people. For twenty years, they had clung to hope, only to see it abruptly taken away. The very soul of Wano was in peril. The infamous kunoichi, Shinobu, was particularly alarmed. The trust she and the people of Wano had in the Red Scabbards made for an especially rash reaction. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. Tama's suggestion to have Akira clear the Beast Pirates from the underwater passage was shot down—Akira was the Big Bad Wolf.

Suddenly, the Wolf spoke. Shinobu's eyes widened upon hearing his words, alleging the Red Scabbards were impostors. A distinct silence followed, stretching what seemed like an eternity, as Shinobu tempered her mind and pondered over the decision. Was the Wolf telling the truth, or was he hiding under the blanket of trust, ready to bare his fangs?

[Shinobu] "Fine... I'll take you to the underwater passage to Ancient Wano."- decided the woman, turning to the Wolf. "If your words ring true, the people's heart will be mended. If your words are lies, the Red Scabbards will pay."- the woman snarked

“Eat, Grandma.” The reasoning was sound. With the very soul of Wano on the line, their only ray of hope rested on Shinobu if he could confirm what Akira alleged. Her testimony could give the country a fighting chance. If Akira lied, she could set the wolf on the Red Scabbards, known to peruse the underwater passage, and restore their honor. The sanctity of Ancient Wano was forgone—this was a fight for survival. She would take the Wolf to the passage. Huff, puff, and blow the house down.

Tama seemed content with the decision, eager to help the people of Wano. The kunoichi took the lead, guiding the group through the impoverished streets of Ebisu Town towards the gate. In a surprising turn of events, Shinobu pushed the left door of the giant gate inward, causing it to recede perfectly into the wall. Hidden beneath the gate was a narrow set of stairs leading into darkness. The sound of rushing water echoed from below, like distant waves crashing.

[Shinobu] "Absolutely not, Tama!"- said the kunoichi, after Tama asked to accompany them. "The Beast Pirates are looking for you. It's too dangerous. You'll stay behind. We'll be back soon."- the woman ordered

Tama's shrill voice echoed in the background as Shinobu gestured for Akira to go down first. The Wolf faced a crucial decision. Could this be a trap, where being trapped underwater could spell doom even for the Big Bad Wolf? Ancient Wano awaited, its secrets buried deep within.

Flower Capitol - Castle Rear
A confrontation that would decide the fate of the Flower Capitol. Alarmed by the revelation that the underwater passage to Ancient Wano had been discovered, the Red Scabbards braced for battle with newfound fervor. X and Prometheus had temporarily aligned with Uvogin, turning the tables on the Red Scabbards. Deals were struck out of self-interest rather than cooperation. Prometheus, impressed by X's cunning, expressed his approval before launching himself into the fray. With a nod to his weapons, Colt and Beretta, now floating beside him, he fired the starting gun.

The battle for supremacy of the Flower Capitol had begun.

[Kin'emon] "You and I have some unfinished business, giant."- Kin'enom said, running up Uvogin's right arm
[Uvogin] "You read my mind, Kin'emon! I'll give you the glorified death you've been seeking!- the giant responded, going in for the attack.
Similar exchanges came from Prometheus, whose fiery chains clashed against Ashura Doji's blade. Colt and Beretta cast their aspersions in the background, exhuming a manic atmosphere in the battlefield. It was as if La Spada's was ever watchful through those muzzles.

X drew the short straw. Call it hazing. Two Red Scabbards cut off the gunsmith. Raizen and Kawamatsu dwarfed him in both size and girth. The Japanese puffer fishman held his sword in a reverse style, its blade vibrating with haki that X had likely never seen before. In a sumo stance, the very earth shook beneath his feet as he slammed them into the ground. The oddly dressed ninja, equipped with shuriken and all, unrolled a scroll from his wrist that grew to match his height. His blade, held in his left hand, also vibrated with the same peculiar haki that Kawamatsu displayed. The tension between the two was heavy and palpable as they prepared for battle.

[Kawamatsu] "You remember our combination attack, Raizen? Or did you forget with age?"- quipped Kawamatsu, turning towards Raizen

[Raizo] "You just worry about hitting your mark, Kawamatsu! Hold nothing back."- said the shinobi confidently

Akira’s words manage to convince Shinobu, though only for a short while as all his words manage to shake is her prior convictions regarding the Red Scabbards, and thus she would deign to ensure that the words of Akira are indeed true. After all, as she would say, the Red Scabbard’s loyalty is paramount to the honour of the people of Wano Kuni. To Akira, this is all that is needed, for the events here as well as the letter – if presumably not some kind of extreme manipulation from Uvogin, though perhaps unlikely for him should be enough of a reason to consider his own theory to be more likely to be the case since if the Red Scabbards’ loyalty is indeed lie in with the Spada Pirates, Uvogin wouldn’t need imposters and the Poneglyph would have long been found.

Shinobu would indeed take Akira to the waterway passage as she said she would. Following her down the gates of the town where in which a hidden pathway is revealed once the kunoichi pushed the left door of the gate inwards, where a stairway followed by rushing water could be observed.

Being a Devil Fruit user, perhaps this is a dangerous pathway towards his goal. But considering this is the only other way for him to follow through, the boy did not hesitate. There is not much choice in it though Akira ironically made such choice himself. Tama would be ordered to stay behind, for which Akira himself had a slight mixed feeling towards. Since the Beast Pirates are looking for her, leaving her out of his watch might cause her to be hunted down whilst the two of them are underneath this waterway, but having her follow them also meant pretty much handing a golden chick on a silver platter. Either way, Akira choose not to voice his thoughts, it is more likely that she might be able to hide herself better while they are gone than following them to somewhere dangerous.

Akira would take the stairs down to where Shinobu would eventually lead when being gestured to go down first, he would use Haki to try and gauge the waterway surroundings periodically, though his primary concern seemed to be more of a possibility a flash flood. Should there be a pathway walkable not requiring Akira to step into the water, the boy would do so.

X tightened his grip on Colt and Beretta, his eyes narrowing as he assessed his adversaries. The tension between the three was palpable, each waiting for the other to make the first move.

"Alright, you two," X muttered to his guns, "let's give them a show."

In an instant, X fired a volley of bullets, each infused with his armament haki.

Reaction/Movement Speed: 100 Massively Hypersonic+ Speed

Bullets DPR: A( 100 Gunslinging Mastery: 5 S+ rank bullets. Unlimited A-rank bullets. )

Attack Potency: Level 3 + A( 3 ) + 1 (Haki)= Level 7

X kept his distance, circling his opponents and firing shots from unpredictable angles. He knew he had to stay on the move, using his speed and agility to keep the Scabbards on their toes.

His eyes flicked back and forth, tracking their movements. He had to keep them separated, using their size and girth against them. With a swift motion, he reloaded Colt and Beretta, the guns glowing with the dark energy of his haki.

"Time to turn up the heat," he muttered.

X unleashed a devastating barrage, each shot packing more power.

Ebisu Town - Overlook
Ancient Wano awaited, its secrets buried deep within. Leaving Tama behind, the duo went down the dark ominous stairs, leading only to darkness. The stairs were numerous and steep. One could barely see their hand in front of them, cast in a narrow descending catacomb. The sound of rushing water jettisoned a feeling of danger with every step. The two braved the darkness and continued the path. It must have felt like hours in the downward slope, before Shinobu’s voice broke the silence.

[Shinobu] “I am a Devil Fruit user as well. The concern is shared, Wolf. We’re just to the entrance of Ancient Wano, buried by an ancient flood.”- said Shinobu, as light appeared at the end of the path

Light beamed from the crevices of a stone doorway. When opened, it would reveal a sight ancient. A massive chamber seemed to be birthed from the stairway, showing the ruins of a massive city. The chamber was so large, it could fit several Oars giants standing on each other’s shoulders. The city was similar to the Flower Capitol in architectural style, carved in ancient stone. Water dripped from the chamber’s ceiling, suggesting the chamber was an underwater cave surrounded by the ocean.

Suddenly, loud booms echoed in the chamber. To the west of the chamber, off the central city ruins, two figures could not be missed. Two Oars’ sized giants flung whole buildings in search for something. The Numbers.

The Beast Pirates were already here.

Flower Capitol - Castle Rear
The battle had begun. The gunslinger X faced off two Red Scabbards. Towering over the man, they got into position. Suddenly, the two took off, zig-zagging each other in their combined approach. Scrolls unraveled from Raizo’s body, unrolling and growing large, taking flight above them. The first bullets were dodged by Raizo, who dexterously vaulted above them. Kawamatsu parried some of the bullets, but found them too powerful, them grazing his shoulder and stomach, blood squirting from the open wounds.

With a satisfied grin, Kawamatsu continued, his blade behind him, brimming with Haki. He seems to make a bee-line towards X, undeterred by the next volley - a madman. Neither dodge nor parry, Kawamatsu dashed directly towards the bullets, getting in range of X.

Suddenly, the scroll that flanked Kawamatsu appeared in front of him where the bullets were set to impact. Upon making contact with the scroll, the paper closed, disappearing the bullet itself in a cloud of smoke. Raizo was flanking the left, hands in a ninja seal.

[Colt] "The Maki Maki no Mi. It gives the user the ability to create and manipulate scrolls telepathically, able to store anything inside. Quite a useful defense."- quipped Colt, relaying on the intel the Spad Pirates gathered

[Beretta] "It was said that Raizo‘s once absorbed Kaido’s legendary fire breath attack. But, there must be a limit…"- finished Beretta, noting the other open scrolls
From the smoke that occurred, Kawamatsu appeared before X by an iai sumo move, blades swung towards X, water dripping from his blades menacingly. The samurai aimed to cut the man’s abdomen from his right shoulder to left hip. A large shark of water covered his blade, appearing to attempt to take a “bite” of his opponent. The water would explode in a watery blast, a haki delayed blast, cracking the ground beneath them.

[Kawamatsu] “Kappa Style: Shark Cutting Blast!”- the Fishman declared, utilizing the fishman affinity for water

Raizo kept his distance, controlling the scrolls above them, around Kawamatsu, and in front of him. The scroll in front of him cut him from X’s line of sight during Kawamatsu’s attack, the sound of smoke light but present.

The Red Scabbards. A lethal duo forged through years of fighting side by side.

= normal damage to Kawamatsu

Kawamatsu DPS: 9. Mountain Level

Note: Kawamatsu’s movement speed is 101-119 bracket during this iai technique. Otherwise, it’s in 81-100 bracket.

Akira followed Shinobu into the waterway, though the dangers of the waters puts Devil Fruit users at risk considering the dark and unknown pathway within the sewers, at any moment in time, a flash flood could easily turn the situation into a fatal one, not counting the fact that damaging the waterway will inevitable not just cause commotion but also that it would collapse upon them. Though Akira himself still have the capability of dealing with something like a flash flood if it comes down to it. Perhaps also somewhat thankfully that Shinobu, presumably isn’t lying is a Devil Fruit user herself, thus making it far less likely to be thrown into trap. No matter the case, Akira have to follow through the dark waterway with Shinobu, despite the potentially perilous journey of being attacked by the Beast Pirates in such situations.

However, perhaps by luck that the journey within the waterways remains safe for the duo manage to reach a stone doorway, with light seeping in from its exit. If Shinobu did not open the door, Akira himself would do so, revealing a large open chamber, much like a cave’s birth canal. Beyond the stone door is an underground city ruins, a massive area located underneath Ebisu Town, or rather, the heart of Flower Capital with the similar architecture but carved in stone. The sight is an awe even for someone like Akira, though his facial expressions are hidden – the adventurer within him does spark something incredible. But before he could process what he sees, and before he could ask Shinobu of the Beast Pirates, they have already come up to them.

Loud booms echo the massive chambers as two giants appeared to be looking for something. Whether this is where the Beast Pirates are found, or is an area in between their hideout remains to be seen.

“….. We should see what they want.”

Akira’s tone tuned serious as he looked to see what they are up to before attempting to confront them. Given their size comparison, sneaking around – or at least hiding from something that big should be a little easier especially in a more ‘urban’ like area. Shinobu should most likely agree to that, considering her status. But even if being sneaky failed, dealing with the giants shouldn’t be too hard – yet he would hope that the giants would reveal some information before Akira would attempt something else.

X's eyes narrowed as Kawamatsu closed in, the fishman's movement speed nearly blinding. But X wasn't caught off guard. With his Observation Haki in full effect, he anticipated Kawamatsu's iai sumo move just in time. The haki-enhanced foresight allowed him to predict the trajectory of the attack. He managed to avoid the worst of the watery blast with a quick sidestep, though the shockwave sent him skidding backward, his boots scraping against the rough terrain.

The air was tense as X's sharp gaze locked onto the two Scabbards. His heart pounded in rhythm with the battle, each beat a reminder of the stakes. He couldn't afford to falter. He fired another volley of bullets, the muzzle flashes lighting up the battlefield rapidly.

Reaction/Movement Speed: 100 Massively Hypersonic+ Speed (reaction speed is 101-119 bracket while using CoO)

Bullets DPR: A (100 Gunslinging Mastery: 5 S+ rank bullets. Unlimited A-rank bullets.)

Attack Potency: Level 3 + A(3) + 1 (Haki) = Level 7

X knew he couldn't let them get too close. He needed to keep his distance, using his speed and agility to his advantage. He fired shot after shot, each infused with armament haki, aiming to exploit any openings in their defenses. His movements were a blur, a dance of deadly precision as he navigated the battlefield.

"Come on, you two," X muttered, reloading Colt and Beretta with practiced ease. His fingers moved with mechanical efficiency, the cold steel of the guns a comforting weight in his hands. "Let's see if you can keep up. Otherwise, I'll drop you and engage in hand-to-hand combat."

Each bullet he fired was a calculated strike aimed to disrupt their rhythm and force them on the defensive. The bullets, glowing with haki, tore through the air with a menacing whistle. X's eyes never wavered, tracking every movement of his opponents. He could feel the strain of the battle, the sweat trickling down his back, but he didn't let it slow him down.

The ground beneath him was littered with spent casings, a testament to the relentless barrage he unleashed. His breaths came in controlled bursts, his focus unyielding. He was a force of nature, a master of his craft, and he wasn't about to let anyone get the upper hand.

Underground - Ancient Wano
The Numbers. The Beast Pirates were already here. The humongous chamber held Ancient Wano in its grasp, right beneath where the Flower Capitol would be. A lost city. Secrets beckoned every corner, and the Beast Pirates sought the prize. The Numbers tossed the city apart, literally, digging through the ruins in search for something. Akira stealthily approached. Shinobu followed, her footsteps quiet as night.

As they got in closer, one of the Numbers, the male, held his hand up. The female Number turned. The shrilling laughter of the male Number echoed. Quick digging maneuver revealed a giant-sized stone entrance with the symbol of Wano embedded at the top.

Suddenly, a voice cut the laughter.

[“Red Scabbard”] “Kept the secret even after torture.“- said the voice, revealing a Tengu-wielding mask holding a bloodied samurai. ”However, your heart raced when we arrived to this location. You can’t fool my “special” ears. Jeheheheheh!”- the man laughed

Next to the Numbers, on the roof of the nearest building, a figure with the same clothing as the self-proclaimed Red Scabards spoke. By the neck sleeve, he held a beautiful woman in a loose samurai clothing. The woman was heavily wounded, blood trickling from her body. Her raspy breathing could be heard through the silence. Shinobu had disappeared, masking both her presence and aura, even from Akira. She had recognized the woman. Akira could tell who she was from the intel of the Spada Pirates.

One of the Red Scabbards, Kikunojo.

Flower Capitol - Castle Rear
The Red Scabbards dodged and weaved to get close. Kawamatsu unleashed a shockwave attack, narrowly missing the gunsmith. Behind Kawamatsu, Raizo came from behind his scroll, blade drawn. Raizo ran towards the new barrage of bullets, flapping a several page scroll in front of him. For each bullet, a page of the scroll swallowed it up.

Suddenly, at the end of the volley, then scroll tore open. Oddly enough, Kawamatsu stepped in to block the bullet, causing two bullets to dig into his left non-blade wielding shoulder, causing him to shriek in pain.

[Colt] "Keep up? How. Dare. You. Listen, hussy! You’re the one who is attacking blindly with no rhyme or re-"- quipped Colt, comically snapping at X

[Beretta] "Kids, kids, can we focus? Did either of you even notice the scroll tore? It could not handle more than ten bullets! It also doesn’t make sense Kawamatsu took the hit. Is he trying to protect Raizo? They’re up to something!"- interrupted Beretta, smoke billowing from his muzzle
X had landed hits, taking the advantage, yet none determinative. Colt and Beretta comically clamored in the background, providing intel on what they saw.

[Raizo] “You ready, Kappa?! It’s now or never!”- clamored Raizo,
[Kawamatsu] “Let’s make Master Oden proud!”- the Fishman declared, his muscles bulging

A smoke bomb dropped in front of Raizo and Kawamatsu, between them and X. In a high-speed movement, a ninja-move, the samurai circled and moved behind X, boxing him in between the two samurais, scrolls flying above them. Raizo madly threw himself towards X, spinning with his blade in an attempt to throttle the gunslinger. A desperation attack, Raizo seemed to risk his very body to slash X.

Kamamatsu approached from the front, staying out of arm’s length.

= normal damage to Kawamatsu

Ninpo: Enton no Jutsu ("Ninja Art: Smoke Escape Technique"): User throws a smoke ball into the ground and quickly moves to a new location while being obscured by the smokescreen. The technique was first used on Zou as part of a demonstration of Raizo ninja abilities. Later, it was used by Shinobu against Yamato which allowed her to escape, not believing the latter claim to want to help her protect Kozuki Momonosuke.

Ninpo: Daisuki no Jutsu (Ninpō: Daisuki no Jutsu?, literally meaning "Ninja Art: Loveable Technique"): Raizo leaps into the air and offers a hug. He can spin with blade in hand to slash his opponent within a typhoon.

Raizo DPS: 6. City Level

Note: Kawamatsu’s speed is 81-100. Raizo is 101-119 during Ninpo technique. 81-100 otherwise.

X braced himself, his Observation Haki buzzing with warnings. He needed to act fast. The bullets he'd fired had done some damage, but now he faced a coordinated assault from two highly skilled warriors. The smokescreen added an element of uncertainty, but X's sharp senses and quick reflexes were his greatest assets.

With Colt and Beretta reloaded and ready, X prepared for the incoming storm. His eyes darted between Raizo and Kawamatsu, calculating his next move. He knew he had to exploit their openings, use their momentum against them, and maintain his distance to keep the upper hand.

Realizing his dire situation, X felt the urgency to break free from their encirclement. The smoke bomb had clouded his vision, but his Observation Haki still gave him glimpses of their movements. He needed to act swiftly and decisively.

As Raizo spun towards him with his blade and Kawamatsu approached from the front, X decided to unleash a technique they wouldn't expect. He took a deep breath, focusing his strength and speed for a decisive counterattack.

"Texas Smash!" X roared, directing the powerful, straight punch at the ground beneath him.

The air around him seemed to crackle with energy as he delivered the punch with incredible force. The sheer wind pressure generated by the Texas Smash cleared the smoke and created a shockwave that radiated outward. The impact was so intense that it caused the ground beneath him to crack and shatter, sending debris flying in all directions and forming a protective circle around him.

Akira stealthily kept up to the Numbers, wanting to see if there is anything they could have revealed, and perhaps his decision has allowed him to gleam some information titbits from what appears to be from the Beast Pirates as a voice would came to interrupt the giants’ laughter, here the fake Red Scabbard presumably not just a wielding a mask, but also dressed like a samurai – would reveal information that Akira could contextualize. The fake samurai would mention this location as a place which holds secrets dear to someone else, presumably the samurai in which he held – an actual Red Scabbard Kikunojo. While Akira has never met the Red Scabbards in much capacity, the boy did recognize them, for they are ‘allies’ during their first landing in driving the Beast Pirates out.

This place might be what La Spada is looking for. As the boy recalled the words of Hera, that the Red Scabbards knew of the location of the Poneglyph, and this time it would seem that based on the words of the fake samurai that here is where they would find the stone monument. If not, then at the very least this is a good place to start looking for. Regardless of whether this place is indeed the location that La Spada is looking for, things have rapidly progressed. Here Akira have 2 choices, one is which Akira allowed them to utilize Kikunojo to bring them closer to its secret, or to save her now. Shinobu have long disappeared as Akira makes his decision, no amount of observational sensing could detect the kunoichi.

The boy made his choice. Shinobu is watching after all, even though she is no longer here. If he wanted to gain some form of trust with the citizens of Wano, then at the very least Akira needs to save Kikunojo instead of letting things play out. Even though letting them search out its secret is better for him overall, and saving her meant that there is a chance they may not willing share its secret, potentially the Poneglyph with him afterwards. But that is a risk that Akira has decided to take. But before Akira would reveal himself, he needed to be sure that an opening exists for Kikunojo to be saved. The reality is that there is a chance that they would simply use her as a hostage, but given Shinobu’s presumed relationship with the Red Scabbards, she may have an opening where she could simply save her, and that is what Akira is banking on.

Continuing to stay quiet, Akira wanted to wait till when the Numbers have their backs turned, before Akira would transformed into his hybridized form and attempted to strike down the Numbers at the back of their neck, using his bladed wing. If the surprise attack is successful, the confusion should create openings or at the very least turn the situation around and against the Beast Pirates.

Name: Blade Wings (Passive)
Rank: B (True Hybrid) | A (Hybrid/Beast)
Description: When he is in his Human-Beast or Beast Form, Akira is able to use his Pteranodon wings like swords, allowing him to release powerful air blades by swinging them. These slash attacks can deal massive damage, and he can launch them in rapid succession. Akira is also capable of using the wings to attack normally, as the wings are both strong and durable enough to utilize it in melee. Doesn't stack rank bonus with other techniques using the bladed wings.
(Normal attacks: 41 Mastery, 41 Strength | 61 Mastery, 61 Strength)
(Air blades: 51 Mastery, 51 Strength | 71 Mastery, 71 Strength)

Akira's DPR: 6. City Level (121+, Zoans only) + A: +3 + Invisible Haki: +2 = 12. Large Continent Level

A Grim Punishment - #21
@Sea @God_Usopun

Underground - Ancient Wano
One of the Red Scabbards, Kikunjo, lay defeated at the hands of the masked man. His proclamation was as boastful as it was loud, declaring they’d found the path to Ancient Wano’s secrets. With two Numbers flanking him, the unknown man was determined to press forward. The alliance with Uvogin and the Beast Pirates began to gave fruit. It was unknown where Uvogin‘s allegiance truly lay, threatening to obtain a key bargaining chip: the Road Poneglyph.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, the Kunoichi made herself disappear, worthy of the ninja name.

The male Number kept digging, effectively giving his back to Akira. The woman Number was positioned looking the opposite direction. The blades slashed the male Number’s neck, though narrowly missed the female, who turned her head away just in the nick of time. The body of the male Number hit the ground, face just next to the stone entrance.

[“Red Scabbard“] “KILL THE INTRUDER!”- the masked man screamed, pointing at Akira, “Through the door!” Uvogin will be waiting for us! Let’s haul ass!”- the figure said, quoting towards the stone door

The shadow of a humongous club fit for an Oars-size giant descended upon Akira, him at the epicenter. The club descended at speeds that would make little sense for a monster that size [81-100]. The sheer size of the club made dodging especially difficult. The subsequent explosion from the impact ravaged the area, showing the haki embedded into the club.

Meanwhile, with Kikunjo strapped to his back, the masked man punched the large stone entrance, the door beginning to crumble.

Flower Capitol - Castle Rear
A desperation attack, Raizo seemed to risk his very body to slash X. At the last second, X’s observation haki would deduce Raizo seemed “hollow”. The young marksman, throwing Colt and Berreta’s caution to the wind, punched downward, making the ground erupt. Raizo, already too close to X, was ravaged by the attack. The explosion of debris would morbidly pierce his body. No hint of desperation was painted on Kawamatsu’s face, who deftly avoided the debris.

Suddenly, Raizo’s body turned into a scroll that erupted in a torrent of water.

[Colt] "It’s a trap! He must have made a clone back then! That’s why that blasted Fishman protected him from the bullets!"- said Colt, voice piercing through the rushing water

[Beretta] "He’s above us! Incoming water!"- interrupted Beretta, finding himself trapped
At the same time Raizo erupted into a scroll of water, the scrolls floating above X also erupted into water. From one of the scrolls above them, Raizo appeared.

Raizo kept his distance, controlling the scrolls above them, around Kawamatsu, and in front of him. The scroll in front of him cut him from X’s line of sight during Kawamatsu’s attack, the sound of smoke light but present.

[Raizo] “You ready, Kappa?! It’s now or never!”- clamored Raizo,

[Kawamatsu] “Let’s make Master Oden proud!”- the Fishman declared, his muscles bulging

Ninpo: Bunshin no Jutsu (literally meaning "Ninja Art: Clone Technique"): Raizo unrolls multiple scrolls on the ground below him, and drawings of himself manifest from the scrolls, becoming lifelike clones which move around him and thus confuse opponents as to where the real Raizo is. The technique was first used on Zou as part of a demonstration of Raizo's ninja abilities.
The water, rushing from both sides, almost point blank, would aim to create a sphere of water around X. Not a moment after, Kawamatsu, entering the sphere, grabbed the water like a cloth and spun, creating a flying slash in a circle shape horizontally around him. The water bent to his will, becoming a powerful giant water slash that could rival the size of Kaido in his dragon state, enough to wound even the fallen legend. It was Kawamatsu’s strongest attack.

[Kawamatsu] “Mizugokoro: Amani-gawa!!!”- the fishman’s voice echoed, expending a considerable amount of stamina and strength

A brilliant combination attack honed over decades of use. Should the guns be doused in water, the gunpowder would be useless.

OCC: Assuming, but not deciding, the guns get wet, you may RP Colt and Berreta telling you they still work. The guns can expel ice-based bullets similar to La Spada’s Soru attacks. However, only 2 shots for each of them. A third will “kill” them by using up all their soul (which you can do if you wish). They’re S rank bullets.

Mizugokoro (literally meaning "Water Heart"): The primary technique of this style that the user initiates by first performing a bowl-shaped gesture with his hands (one hand over the other) while underwater right before giving the water itself around him a mighty yank. This allows the user to physically grab and redirect currents as if he were manipulating cloth. In the anime, Jinbe collects the water into a glowing, blue-white orb in his hands, he then swims off at high-speed causing the orb to form a spiraling water current which he then throws to the surface.

Amano-gawa (literally meaning "Wild Ocean River"): Kawamatsu jumps above his opponent, holding the blade behind him, then releases a powerful frontward flying slash attack that expands in a circle-shaped pattern horizontally. It was first used against Kaidou.

Raizo DPS: 5. 120 Town Level (underwater boost +1 bracket strength) + 2 (CoA) + 5 (S+ Rank) = 12. Large Continent Level

X felt the pressure mounting. The combined assault from Raizo and Kawamatsu was pushing him to his limits. He needed to act quickly, or he would be overwhelmed.

As the water sphere closed in, X’s Observation Haki gave him a fleeting glimpse of his enemies' positions. He knew he had to escape the encirclement and reposition himself before launching a counterattack.

"Don't worry, X. We can still fire ice-based bullets. Two shots each," Colt said, the determination clear in his voice.

"Make them count. A third shot will use up all our soul," Beretta added.

With a powerful leap, X propelled himself upwards, evading the initial rush of water. He gathered all his strength and haki in mid-air, channeling it into his fists.

"New Hampshire Smash!" he shouted, propelling himself towards the upper edge of the water sphere with tremendous speed. His body weight and haki's force created a shockwave that disrupted the water's cohesion and sent ripples through the sphere.

The disruption gave X the split-second opportunity he needed. However, as he escaped the encirclement, the edges of Kawamatsu’s water slash grazed him, leaving deep gashes across his torso and reopening previous wounds. Blood flowed freely, and pain shot through his body, but X gritted his teeth and pressed on.

Landing with a hard thud, X quickly assessed his injuries. They were severe, and he knew he had limited time before his body gave out. He needed to end this fight fast.

With Colt and Beretta drawn, X focused on the water-soaked assailants. He took a deep breath, ignored the pain, and prepared for his next move.

"Colt, Beretta, ice bullets!" X commanded.

X aimed carefully, his Observation Haki guiding his shots. He fired a volley of ice-based bullets at Raizo and Kawamatsu, aiming to freeze them in their tracks. The ice bullets shot through the chaos, precisely targeting the water-soaked enemies.

Akira struck the Numbers, aiming to catch the Beast Pirates off-guard, in which his plan would work up till a certain extent. In one fell swoop, Akira took down the male Number by the neck due to a surprise element to Akira’s attack, but failed to defeat the female Number as she would turn at the last second that would ultimately prevent her own defeat. Nevertheless, the Beast Pirates are quick to act, as the fake samurai would order the Number to kill Akira as he made note to escape through a stone door. With one of the Numbers still alive, the boy saw the need to follow the fake Scabbard through the door but was quickly met with an incoming club from the giant. At the same time, the samurai made his way into the stone door, but not before attempting to collapse the door to prevent others from coming in.

Having missed the female Number, Akira see not much choice but to follow the Scabbard, but with the incoming club from the massive giant, Akira could not just move out of the way. Instead – the boy saw a split second opportunity. Imbuing his wings with Haki, Akira blocked the attack but did not put too much effort into actually blocking it. This cause the club to slam straight towards the boy, but that with Akira’s slightly weaker defense, blood would have been drawn from the wings as well as the momentous impact that shook his body’s core, damaging him slightly. But what is important wasn’t that Akira ‘failed’ to block the attack, as it is purposeful. The boy made use of this giant momentum from the giant to propel himself straight towards the direction of the stone door.

The boy aimed to be sent blasted down into the stone doorway before it could fully collapse down and prevent entrance. Which if successful should allow Akira to get in, whilst at the same time the powerful impact of his ‘crash’ should fully collapse the stone door that should prevent the Number from getting in easily presuming the door’s size is able to fit such a powerful giant in the first place. Once inside, Akira would recover from the crash relatively quick – allowing him to chase down the ‘Red Scabbard’. Akira have no clue where Shinobu could be, but he would presume that someone like her might have already gotten in. Either way, chasing down the fake Samurai is top priority, and Akira aims to do just that, as once recovered from the crashing impact, the boy would give chase.
