The only thing I wouldn't really approve of at this point is moving the RP off of Thriller Bark, there's plenty of tools available to run it properly here. I am curious of how many of the remaining RPers here would be willing to continue if they had to learn a whole new system, or start over again, etc

there are two main ways i can see this going

Get off your lazy ass and make some MA/Techniques yourself. Not that difficult, just be creative and imaginative but not overly too much.
I created a load for my NPC's / Possible Rivals and many others but i've lost interest over time

Starting over is not a problem.

You could try asking the current roster/alumini of the members here and WashedUPRP?
Maybe giving members a taster of each other's RP style then taking it from there so a consensus of what's what like a feedback questionnaire.

Or having said GM's/Mods get their heads together and iron some stuff out then bring out a consensus together with the RP roster of players, with maybe a feedback type taking place.

i feel we would need the players to provide suggestions, help etc too; combining them would not be easy and would probs require too much work for just the GMs/mods

If we go forward, i would suggest ironing out a lot of stuff though most of it would be how will RP be ran. Then either we stay at our current levels from both places but that would likely confuse many people. So maybe a restart archiving all current adventures and threads then creating new ones from scratch.

from a quick look you can already see both have different levels. our max is 100, i saw multiple people at level 500 in their rp

then revert the RP back to scratch would be best but this would be the final reboot of the RP so that way we can work things by closing New World again for the time being for new members until a year after the RP reboots

At first, I just wanted to see if there was interest - which I see there is - so ironing out all details could be the next step. But we've done a merger before (between nwanime and AC) and it was a smashing and years long success, so merging communities is definitely possible, and I think it'd benefit all of us.

Would you guys say it's fair to take the ''planning'' and ''discussions'' of the merger over to our Discord? That doesn't mean you will be migrating over to where we are or anything like that, it's just that all of you probably do have Discord, whereas none of us have an account here. Discord is also a live chat which is probably a bit better for discussions. Lemme know

I would limit the bonus' to certain item(s), quest(s) and etc. depending on what said player/roster currently possesses pre-reboot (should it happen)

eg: I have the Phoenix Devil Fruit then that i could have an arranged Story Quest where i have the chance to obtain the DF. But in order to do so i must pay a min of 100 (not something too high) million beri but i have to meet the requirement of a certain level to have it available for myself. Whereas if anyone has a custom DF they instead are rewarded something else, since we are prioritising canon DF's first then movie/game/plays and other media property of One Piece that include Devil Fruits or abilities.

I wouldn't have Higher Level as an option for a bonus, as we can leave that for Self-Assessment Reviews and EXP purchases. Also we could try something where we have a RP calculator as an option that helps players know how much EXP one gets from S-A Reviews. Something similar to what Pokemon Showdown have with the BattleCalcs.

Interest is there its just a matter of who's still available and around. Though if there's a merger we have to iron out the RP as we have different RP's in general. As in like @Ziosa pointed out you guys can go all the way up to Level 500 yet in the RP here we max out at Level 100.

I would state that only Discord gets used for "Discussion / Planning" the next step between those in charge of both RP's in how we move forward. Like i am sure that WashedUPRP members have interest similar to us. It's just a matter of which RP we use moving forward, which features do we keep and remove. Or we could try seeing how we merge them or start a RP from scratch so all members can get use to the new RP.

You know how we have DLC's and Story Quests in RPG's and other similar genre games in video, mobile and etc. type of games. We could have something similar, though like how you wanted the Yuki Yuki no Mi (Snow Logia). Maybe create a Story Quest for yourself that is there only for yourself. But should anyone else go for it they can go for it though you'll get a compensation of a said amount of beri. Though not sure how the Phoenix DF will be used since it was not a canon DF but used via Event since the WB don't exist like the SHP's.

It took longer than I was expecting to get past this creative wall, must have been my birthday being on my mind, and various other things.

Anyway, I'm surprised that activity has been low these past few weeks (not even any clearing, I keep having to post merge).

And while I find the talk of shaking things up interesting, I don't know if I could continue if I had to start over. I've come so far on the basis that everything I've put time into so far is going to result in something. I want to keep going with what I'm already doing, at the very least have the opportunity to conclude ongoing threads.

Hello!

I share your sentiments completely. Some of the chars I've had for half a decade, and they are also currently involved in stories. I don't see why a merger would have to force you to stop an ongoing story. I also don't think we'd need to reset anyone's chars, maybe just adjust certain statistical things depending on what kind of system the community decides to adopt at the end of all the discussions.

I'd love it if you joined the above-linked Discord channel and help us see how we could do the merger without negatively affecting anyone. The idea is to help everyone by bringing more people together.
