If I were you, I'd just take the speed aspect away from Awakening.

Speed is speed. It shouldn't make fire faster. Just stick with increased power / DPR + a new ability for Awakening.

i think its because everything else like MAs give an increase in speed, so it seemed to just make sense to add it to Awakening too
