So not sure on abilities for those roles yet, but the characters would be filler types if not all the kids are present, or maybe the safe claims . There's the father who never approved of anything the kids did and dickishly kept vanya from reaching her full potential. Vanya would then be the ticking time bomb that *spoiler* is the cause of the apocalypse. The monkey is a genetically modified talking chimp named Pogo who turned butler to Mr. Hargreaves and has been with him since the beginning. The bird watching Lady becomes the love interest to Hazel (time bad dude) and becomes his Achilles heel. Oh and then there is Mother. Forgot her, she's a robot but was the nanny to the kids.

Seems to me that Innocent child reveal is part of a role. There's a similar role in other games where someone's identity is revealed from the outset in exchange for something else so to not die straight away.
