Aolai Campaign #30 @Kaka​

Moments after Shitala returned did Zeus decide to appear, proudly announcing himself to the two of them. With great confidence he challenged both of them, unleashing a spray of lighting to bear down on all the figures below. Shitala, having sensed the cloud follow wasn't surprised to see him, but he was surprised that it immediately attacked upon reaching them. Immediately he pushed himself to his knees and focused power into his staff and flexed as he hoped to unleash his counterattack in time to stop the attack.

However, before his staff had even began to glow, Svahi lifted one of their hands upwards and waved it dismissively horizontally above their head. The tip of their fingers unleashed a massive wave of flames and pure light interwoven together. In the span of an eyeblink the entire clearing was covered in golden fires that repelled the lightning strikes. In addition it bathed the clearing itself in a more even light, so that what was in it was more visible. Even as the lightning faded, the flames lingered.

Under the glow the six frozen statues that were arrayed around Svahi seemed to shatter, but it was an outer layer cracking and falling to the ground. Shitala recognized them all, his friends from centuries ago, frozen in time by Durga during their fateful battle. Yet it seemed time had changed them, and not for the better. Shitala stepped to the side as Yami, Gayatri, Narmada, Sati, Ganga and Bhramari approached, twitching and growling, not a word escaping their mouths as they knelt before Svahi. Arrayed like a half moon, they waited for their lord to respond.

The light that hung above them slowly faded, as did the glow that Svahi had been releasing also vanished, the last bits trailing towards the great statue known as the Evil Oni Statue to the younger denizens of Aolai. Svahi turned, touching each of the six humandrills briefly, each of them glowing starting to glow faintly, their fur starting to dance like grass in the wind. My dear friends, I am sorry that I took so long.

As one, the six turned as the trees were buckling in the distance. Although they didn't move, they all screamed in bestial fury towards the oncoming enemy.

Svahi! Brahma emerged from the forest, their large body breaking down several trees in their stride, trailed by Hanuman, Sasaki and the others. The Guardian was flush with rage, yet it grew even deeper as they laid eyes upon statue beyond Svahi. What is this? What have you done to Durga's body?

The question and demand thrown at them, Svahi only smiled. He, no they, looked like any ordinary humandrill. Dark fur was largely covered by a set of black and golden armor, a long red cape streaming from their shoulder. Resting on their shoulder was a golden staff with a strange figurehead adorning its end. Brahma, welcome. It has been too long. Sasaki, you have my thanks, I could not have done this without your help.

Behind Svahi the statue that Brahma had referred to as Durga's body shook, dust and leaves thrown to the ground as light emerged from its eyes and fissures across its body.

Zeus, grown into a full sized, massive stormcloud, filled up the skies above with darkness, casting a shadow on the area below. Purple lightning crackled and flashed throughout the stormclouds, gathering up in clusters before raining down on the forest below - a powerful thunderstorm, a barrage of lightning bolts. However, none would reach their desired targets. Svahi swung his arm and with the swing of his arm, he unleashed an enormous wave of fire and light interwoven. The mighty energy of Svahi's attack clashed with and repelled the barrage of lightning bolts, casting them away. The powerful gale that stemmed from the clash cleared the stormcloud above, including Zeus, who reverted back to his normal, small cloud form, flung around through the skies by the powerful winds.

Embers of fire lingered from Svahi's attack, illuminating the forest below. Brahma strode through the trees, mowing them down in his path until he reached the clearing where Svahi was. Roaring with anger, Brahma demanded an answer. What had Svahi done? Behind him was the Oni Statue, an omen of trouble for generations. Now, its true identity was revealed. Durga, frozen in time. Svahi, a Humandrill of dark fur and golden ornaments, welcomed them with evil in his eyes. Truly a Humandrill that looked like the embodiment of chaos and suffering. Sasaki, who arrived right behind Brahma, was standing a few meters off to the side of the Guardian. Zeus flew over, reuniting with Sasaki and disappearing into the Monkey King's staff. Svahi thanked Sasaki for helping bring him here, a notion that was immediately met with Sasaki's own words.

You lot sure have been thanking me a lot today.

Let's see how long that lasts.

Tell me... Svahi... what has happened here since I left? Aolai... was a haven of prosperity before. Flung into chaos by none other than... you.

For what?

Sasaki questioned Svahi's absurd motives of destruction and madness.

Aolai Campaign #31 @Kaka​

Chaos... Svahi let the word linger in the air, tasting and savoring it. Yes, you are right, I brought chaos to this land that had known nothing but peace ever since its founding. Here among the clouds, a haven hidden from the world below.

Yet you have walked the earth and sailed the seas, like I have! Svahi pointed their scepter at Sasaki, and for the first time during their conversation Brahma reacted, sucking in a gust of air in shock and recognition. You know as well as I that chaos is the lifeblood of the world. Yet here they sit on their ancient thrones, content at playing gods, looking down upon the fleeting lives of others with a smug sense of superiority!

Hypocrisy. Svahi snapped, the word dripping with derision, eyes snapping to Brahma for a split second. When I feared for the safety of Aolai four centuries ago, I was ignored. When I questioned the status to Protector given to Rama, given what I saw as lacking in ability, I was ignored. They could not ignore my actions against Rama, when I showed how wrong they were.

For what you ask? Svahi seemed to calm down, resting the butt of their scepter on the ground before them. I intend to bring Aolai down to the seas below, to take our rightful place among the nations of the world. No need for secrets or hiding. Did you know why this is called the Forbidden Forest? It predates both me and you, but just before my exile I learned the truth that-

ENOUGH OF THIS!​

Brahma's voice drowned out all else as the Guardian swung its staff wide across treetops, seeming to draw the very air with it, launching them forwards towards the renegades. Forces of the sky bore down on the Forbidden Forest, bending trees with all its might and washing over the influence of Svahi's power. Yet the zenith of its power laid on Svahi and the other humandrills. While Shitala's face took on a mask of fear, and the six crazed humandrills screamed in confusion, Svahi stood firm with a smile on their lips even as the wind seemed to swallow them whole, a blur of movement surrounding them.

As the wind faded, perhaps the first thing Sasaki would notice was that the blanket that were smothering his senses was now lifted. The light that blinded his haki was blown away. Yet following that, he would probably notice that all eight of their presences hadn't moved from Brahma's attack. In fact there was an ninth source of power, yet it wouldn't feel like that of any living being.

As the dust settled and vision cleared, the stone shape that had been Durga had risen from its sleep. Leaned forward over the eight, its large arms shielded them from the winds. Svahi's head was barely visible over the top of the limbs, the same smile plastered on their face.

Time to see if I was correct all along. If I was wrong, it will be because you defeat me, because Aolai is strong enough.

Sasaki questioned Svahi's motives. Aolai was a Kingdom in the Skies, home to all Humandrills. For many centuries, preceding even the Void Century, Aolai rested up above the clouds in its glory. Peace. Devoid of turmoil. Safe. Never a danger. A paradise. All flung into chaos, to settle one man's curiosity, and satiate one man's hunger for change. Preposterous. There was no need for secrets and hiding, Svahi claimed - and yet, that was not what Aolai was doing. Aolai simply remained neutral, for it did not need to compete with the nations in the Blue Sea below. That was a fortune that the Gods had bestowed upon Aolai, isolating it from the turmoils that pestered the rest of the world. Now, Svahi wanted to plunge Aolai into that world below - a world where Aolai could no longer be itself, be what it was all these centuries. There was no parardise down in the Blue Sea. Svahi went on to speak about the Forbidden Forest, stating that he had discovered its secrets. But before Svahi could reveal it, Brahma roared, his voice drowning out all that was. A mighty gale descended from the heavens, blowing through the forest. The mighty wind was powerful, bending trees to its will, and blowing away the shroud that locked Sasaki's senses.

A new door was opened in Sasaki's mind. Like before, information flowed into his Mind's Eye, taking everything in. Truly a Sage Humandrill that had reached his pinnacle, near omnipotence.

Taking a deep breath, Sasaki exhaled, speaking.

It is time to deal with this danger.

Brahma-sama, Hanuman-kun... since it's my first day back on the job, surely you won't make me deal with all of them by myself. How are we doing this?

Aolai Campaign #32 @Kaka​

As the veil that had shut out his senses ever since they had arrived to the Forbidden Forest was washed away, Hanuman finally felt fully in control again, despite the developments that happened before him. And now he finally notices the deep anger and hatred that was emanating from Brahma. It was a shock to sense, in all these centuries the Guardians had only ever projected control and calmness. Yet he could not blame them, seeing the corpse of their dead friend used by the person who had robbed them in the first place.

Svahi is mine, Brahma said through gritted teeth, to which Svahi themself only grinned, suddenly bending forward and starting to grow rapidly in size. Keep your distance from us!

In one lithe move the Guardian leapt forward, winds swirling around their body and their staff raised. Swinging their weapon horizontally, Brahma slammed it straight towards Svahi's chest as their figure now was almost as large as the Guardian themself. However in the very last moment Svahi raised their scepter and blocked the strike, yet it was then that Brahma unleashed the full force of the attack. All the wind that surrounded their body flowed into their staff and assailed Svahi, sending them flying backwards over the stone corpse of Durga.

Continuing their flight, Brahma settled down on the ground a few hundred meters away, not far from Svahi. Now fully transformed in the visage of their power as Brahma now wore constantly, Svahi had the face of falcon, a striped headdress with a metal symbol adorning their head. The center of their chest was a glowing core, and their hands were sharp like the talons of a bird.

Did you know Brahma, our powers derive from the same mythos? The aspect of Ra said to the aspect of Amun, a grin on their face. The latter did not respond, instead striding forwards as the air drew inwards all around them.

The stone body that had been Durga pulled its arms back and stood to its full height, as tall as those two that now battled behind them. Its eyes made of energy fell on the greatest threat that was left, Sasaki. Moving forwards, the ground shook with every step and the humandrills scattered before its advance. The six rabid humandrills rushed forward, trailed by Shitala. Seeing this, Hanuman gestured at his four subordinates, and together they rushed to meet them.

The stone golem raised its arms, lifting a pillar of stone as if it were a staff, slamming it down towards Sasaki, aiming to flatten the smaller creature.

The mighty gale had descended upon the forest, washing away the strange energy that had muddied Sasaki's senses. Brahma then strode forward, charging Svahi. With a swing of his staff, Brahma summoned another powerful gale, and Svahi rose his scepter, taking the attack head on. The attack blew Svahi hundreds of meters away and Brahma followed after - the two deities settling a good distance away for their fight. Durga, the legendary Humandrill that had been turned to stone, set his eyes on Sasaki, charging forward. Every step was heavy, shaking the ground - and Shitala and the remaining six Humandrills followed closely behind. Hanuman motioned to his disciples and they met Shitala and the six Humandrills head on, leaving Durga to charge through and reach Sasaki. Raising his staff, which was more like a large stone pillar, up into the air, Durga, towering over the much smaller Sasaki, swung it downward, aiming to crush him under the mighty weight.

The last thing that could be seen, before the stone pillar hit the ground, causing dust and debris to be blown into all directions, was Sasaki's body turning into lightning. He shot up into the sky like a lightning bolt, using his Speed of Lightning to avoid Durga's attack. Essentially, a lightning jump. Now up in the air, a fair distance above Durga, Sasaki pointed the palm of his right hand up toward the sky. A cluster of lightning gathered and Sasaki spoke.

Look at you... horrible crimes have been done to you, to make you what you are today.

El... Thor...!

Sasaki said, testing out the efficacy of his lightning on a creature of stone. A massive bolt of lightning shot down from the sky, intending on engulfing Durga as well as the entire area around him.

Aolai Campaign #33 @Kaka​

Brahma clenched their fists and the air itself seemed to curl around their hands as they drew close to Svahi. Raising both arms up to the side while their foe stood firm and clutched their scepter in their hands Brahma drove their hands against Svahi's torso. Even from where Sasaki was standing he should feel the wind draw towards the battle of the two deities, and just before the god of the winds made contact the god of the sun swung his staff to meet the onslaught. The weapon glowed like the fiery orb that hung in the skies above them, even as the clouds themselves seemed to draw down towards their battle.

The two attacks clashed, sending a wave of wind and light expelling outwards, even so far that it washed over the ancient body that had once been Durga, though by that point most of the force had dissipated. Both deities growled at their attacks met, both of them pushed slightly backwards by the force they created. Svahi laughed, seeing the anger in their foe. You truly are a hypocrite, are you not?

Not far from where Durga and Sasaki had engaged in battle did Shitala and Hanuman meet, they weapons ringing in sharp sounds as they snapped against one another. Although the former of the two had just emerged from a fight, he was not so spent that he could not match that of the new Protector. And not to mention that Hanuman was angry which made him not think as clearly as he fought the enemy. Angry at being sidelined. Angry at the invasion. Yet he was the most angry at the disrespectful treatment of Durga. He was angry at himself that he would not be able fight the shell that had been the former Guardian, since he still saw the deity that he had revered from a young age, destroyed at the hands of the foul creature that now fought Brahma. Once more he swung out and struck the wooden staff of Shitala, yet he made no progress against the foe.

Durga, or the stone formation that had once been them, slammed their great weapon carved from stone into the ground where Sasaki should have been. Yet the former Protector escaped the attack as if it was nothing, materializing again in the air around the same height as Durga's head. Speaking words of sadness seeing what had been done to the former Guardian, Sasaki seemed to transform the very clouds themselves. As if hearing the words spoken to them, Durga turned their eyes towards Sasaki, then opened their mouth as if to speak an answer. Yet what came out from its earthen jaws were not words, it was a glow of light, trailed by an inhuman roar of fury. What had been Durga was well and truly gone, this was nothing but a creature of destruction, a puppet guided by the will of Svahi.

The sky above seemed to open like a maw to unleash its wrath down on Durga, a large flash of lightning bearing down on the golem like a waterfall of destruction from the heavens. The creature didn't even rear its head to take in the view as it swung its enormous weapon up to meet the attack from Sasaki. It seemed like an afterthought, its weapon coated in darkness as it seemed to bat aside the attack as if it was nothing but an annoyance. Yet it was what came next that was more important. Using the swing of their weapon, Durga directed their strike forwards, putting even more force into the strike as they aimed to strike Sasaki with the butt of the pillar they used as a staff. The size of the weapon was so much that it would fully encase the body of the former Protector should it successfully strike him.

The cluster of lightning gathered up above and Durga opened his mouth, unleashing a furious scream. His mouth was filled with evil light, it was clear that Durga was no more. The lightning descended, but Durga's stone staff came upward, meeting the lightning bolt head on. The swing of Durga's weapon collided with the lightning bolt and redirected it, casting it off to the side. Durga then unleashed a follow up attack, aiming the pommel of his staff toward Sasaki and aiming to ram it into him. The stone staff was large, as was its giant wielder - and the blunt side of the pommel was as big as Sasaki's whole body, so getting hit by that would be akin to getting hit by a truck. Sasaki quickly reached for the Monkey King's staff on his back, dismounting it and wielding it with his right hand - the moment Sasaki's hand was laid upon the Monkey King's staff, it reverberated with powerful vibrational energy. Slamming it forward, Sasaki's Monkey King's staff, or rather the pommel of it, imbued with Busou-shoku no Haki, collided with the pommel of Durga's staff. The size difference was there, but the power was on Sasaki's side.

Durga would be pushed back by the stronger attack, but that was not all - the Hasshouken shockwave energy would travel down the length of the stone staff and even into Durga's staff wielding hand, aiming to reverberate through the staff and the hand and cause them to shatter. Whether Sasaki would be successful remained to be seen.

Aolai Campaign #34 @Kaka​

Hypocrite? I? Brahma asked, their voice incredulous as they slid to a halt following the clash with Svahi. You know not what you speak of...

Oh, but I do... I very much do. Svahi answered, advancing across ground littered in trees that had been flattened by their clash. Hefting their staff, the figurehead reflecting sunlight from above, the invader swung their weapon horizontally. Trailing fire that pushed it along its path with great ferocity, the scepter aimed to slam into the side of Brahma's torso. You keep your power, your knowledge to yourself, yet demand subservience and respect from those around you!

Brahma raised their hand just before impact, releasing a burst of wind from the palm of their hand. Meeting the strike head on, the power of Amun stopped the attack dead in its track, then repelled it back. For a moment Svahi was knocked off balance and Brahma took their chance. With their other hand the Guardian thrust forwards, a twister conjured around their wrist and surging forward. Flying forth from Brahma's grasp the torrent crashed into Svahi's body, cutting into their skin and throwing backwards. The only thing we demand is that they keep the peace and protect Aolai with us. Against those like you.

Svahi was thrown almost fifty meters, the ground shaking as they landed and somehow managed to remain on their feet before sinking to their knees. Blood flowed from several cut across their torso, though bright glows suddenly appeared and seared the wounds shut. With a grin on their face despite the bird like features Svahi met Brahma's eyes, climbing to their feet once more, marks scarring their skin.

Hanuman and Shitala split apart for a moment, both of them letting out a breath of exhaustion as they looked to the two avatars of gods battling. Each clash felt like a deep shock within their bodies, sending shivers down their spine. The other grand battle that took place even closer felt similar, though Sasaki versus Durga didn't stir anything within them in the same way. Bestial cries surrounded them as the followers of Svahi and subordinates of Hanuman battled each other, a far more primal engagement. Gathering one more breath the Protector and Svahi's second in command closed the distance once more and slammed their staves together in rapid succession. One hit struck Hanuman's arm, another cracked the ribs of Shitala, yet they fought on.

Durga's weapon shook from the counter attack, yet the force between the two attacks were nearly equal. Yet even so Sasaki's strike was the victor, brushing aside the golem's power, though at a loss. Its attack overcome, the corpse of the Guardian seemed to realize it had lost the clash and the darkness that coated its weapon spread to its hands and up its arms. And so the weakened force that traveled along its weapon and into its limbs would barely leave marks, only small cracks that largely didn't affect Durga.

Letting out a grunt as the force of the clash sent the behemoth backwards, Durga eyed the former protector. That is if using eyesockets leaking glowing energy to look towards Sasaki could be called eying him. It was almost as if the creature was annoyed with its opponent, like it was a fly it could not hit. Grabbing its staff with both hands the creation slammed it into the ground in front of of them.

As if triggering a trap, the ground below and behind Sasaki would shake and flip up as if it was a springboard, aiming to crash into him from behind. Around them several of the feral and other humandrills cried out in fear as their footing was thrown off and used as a weapon against the former Protector. Meanwhile, Durga swung their weapon horizontally, aiming to strike Sasaki head on and sandwich him between the ground and a stone pillar, darkness still enveloping it.

The other battles raged on - most of the combatants failing to edge out their opponents, and the fights seemed to be at a deadlock. All but one. The legendary Guardian of Aolai, Brahma, roared, his blood pumped by the outrageous and arrogant remarks of Svahi. Amassing his legendary power, Brahma overwhelmed Svahi for a moment, sending him reeling and riddling his body with deep cuts. However, bright glows suddenly appeared and seared the wounds shut. The battle raged on.

Sasaki, seeing Brahma take the upper hand, continued to play with his foe, sensing no urgency or danger. This was a characteristic of Sasaki - he was playful by nature and enjoyed contest. His attack pushed Durga back, but the stone goliath quickly followed up with more attacks, enraged by Sasaki's elusiveness. Durga slammed the pommel of his stone pillar-esque staff into the ground, causing the ground to rumble. Sasaki's eyes glowed a bright red and he peered into the future, seeing a slab of earth rise up from the ground behind him. Using Geppou, Sasaki pushed off of the air and performed a high backflip, essentially reverse somersaulting over the slab of earth, avoiding it altogether.

Sasaki pushed off of the air once again with Geppou, propelling himself toward Durga's incoming attack. This time, however, Sasaki would hold back less. His free left hand reached for the hilt of the sword sheathed on his right hip. He unsheathed the sword and swung it in one fluent motion. The moment Sasaki had grabbed the hilt of the sword and had swung it, the sword turned black with Busou-shoku no Haki, and rumbled with the lightning of Conqueror's Haki.

The pinnacle of swordsmanship and Haki, Sasaki aimed to have the flying slash of Haki cut straight through Durga's weapon and his whole body. Sasaki wanted to see if Durga could regenerate as well.

Aolai Campaign #35 @Kaka​

Collecting themselves, Svahi hefted his staff once more and approached Brahma. A strong glow appeared in their hand free hand, growing to a fiery blaze. The light flickered and across the visage of Ra and the ground around, creating a spectacle to behold. Meanwhile Brahma raised their hands up into the air, the winds drawing inwards from all around.

This is fate, do you realize? Svahi said as they were drawing close. Amun and Ra, a rebellion. I knew you would be the one to face me.

Shitala and Hanuman meanwhile fought on, both were bruised and bleeding, yet neither were ready to give in. Staffs slapped against one another, blood and sweat trickled down both bodies, drenching their fur. Burns marked the Protector, the power gifted from Svahi giving Shitala a bit of an edge.

Among the other skirmishes, a few humandrills had collapsed, both sides suffering losses. It had devolved into chaos as the bestial followers of Svahi refused to adhere to any combat structure, instead ganging up and switching from battle to battle.

Last but not least, Sasaki and Durga fought on. Faced with a two pronged attack, the former Protector unleashed his might, taking the behemoth on head on. His attack overwhelmed that of his opponent, and although weakened, it still had enough force to shatter half of the stone pillar.

The darkness that had covered Durga's weapon rapidly spread down from its hands and down its arms, covering the whole body in less than an eyeblink. Letting go of the staff even as it disintegrated, Durga swung their afms in a horizontal arc, blocking The attack with its haki reinforced stone limb.

Yet even though the limb was as strong as the body of a god ought to be, infused with the spirit of its predecessor, even a weakened attack from Sasaki head on was too much. Durga's arm shattered from halfway down the upper arm, large pieces of stone scattered against their body and the surrounding ground.

Yet Durga didn't cry out in pain, didnt falter before the shock. Its body had been shielded, and light glowed from the stump of its severed limb as the cracks knit themselves together. Even as they fell to the forest floor around Durga, the pieces of the arms started slowly move towards the main body. Those that had hit the body seemed to be absorbed into its mass, and slowly the stump seemed to grow. If given enough time, Durga would reform, though it was a slow regrowth.

With its remaining hand Durga whipped the remants of the stone staff through the air. As if pulled taut, the stone stretched thin and became a long but now slimmer staff. Holding the weapon out to its side, the stone monster stood and waited for Sasaki's next move, while its arm slowly returned and the battle between Svahi and Brahma raged on behind.

The flying slash of pure Busou-shoku no Haki and advanced Conqueror's Haki materialized, ripped through Durga's defenses and into its body. Durga stumbled backward, a large part of its arm destroyed - boulders of stone hitting the forested ground with loud crushing sounds. Sasaki peered over Durga's shoulders, looking at the fight that was going on in the distance behind. The fight between Svahi and Brahma. When Sasaki's eyes moved back toward Durga, and he saw the stone creature slowly starting to regenerate, Sasaki's eyes narrowed in concern.

Hmm... this might be dangerous. Lightning doesn't work on stone, and it can regenerate. If the battle between Svahi and Brahma-sama goes awry, Durga's presence could be the deciding factor. I need to get rid of this thing now...

Sasaki concluded. Rings of lightning formed around Sasaki's arms and legs - from his fingertips all the way up to his shoulders, and from his toes all the way up to his thighs. He put the Monkey King's staff back on his back, while still holding his sword with his left hand. Sasaki would tap into the Speed of Lightning and attempt to overwhelm Durga's regeneration with an intense barrage of high speed attacks. With no warning and suddenly, Sasaki disappeared from his position.

He appeared behind Durga, between its shoulder blades, where he would be very tough to reach for the large opponent. As soon as Sasaki appeared, his free right hand, imbued with powerful Busou-shoku no Haki, moved forward, unleashing a rapid barrage of punches. The punches were performed with the Speed of Lightning, and each punch reverberated with powerful Hasshou-ken energy. In other words, a barrage of lightning speed Hasshou-ken punches. Every punch would unleash a powerful, reverberating shockwave, which would aim to travel through Durga's stone body, the crushing waves travelling throughout the Giant and spreading the damage.

However, this was only the first attack in many that Sasaki would unleash to overwhelm this opponent's regenerative abilities.

Aolai Campaign #36 @Kaka​

The two ancient humandrills seemed to both draw the power of the heavens down into their hands as Svahi slowly approached. Two spheres of primal energy formed, both letting out a wild sounds that blended together like the sounds of roaring animals. As one the two avatars of gods brought swung their arms forwards. A spiraling force of wind and a small sun clashed together, blending together and sending an expanding ring of flames from the point of impact.

The heat washed over both of them and Brahma cringed at the sensation, being unused to such burning sensations. Svahi on the other hand quite literally was fueled by the sun and did not balk at the inferno. Instead they made use of the impact, allowing the force of it to swing themselves around and force it into its scepter, thrusting it forward even through the fires as they erupted. Caught off guard, Brahma did not react until the figurehead slammed into their abdomen, piercing flesh and drawing blood. Yet the red liquid did not flow towards the ground, instead it was pulled towards the weapon. The carved head atop the staff was no longer visible to they eye, now buried in Brahma's stomach, the head that gave it its name. The Scepter of Osiris.

Ah yes. Your dear Durga had the same reaction all those years ago. Svahi said, his demeanor calm and superior now. Can you feel it? Your power draining away?

No! Vishnu suddenly yelled, rising to their feet from their seat among the four. Across the plaza Shiva raised their head in alarm, but Vishnu only screamed louder. NO!

Hanuman and Shitala both stumbled back against the heat and shock from the clash of the two great humandrills. Yet their reactions could not have been more different to what happened next. Shitala grinned as Hanuman let out a scream of agony, if any words were said they were incomprehensible. His opponent gone from his mind, the Protector tried to rush towards Brahma to help. Yet he was stopped as he fell to the ground, a sharp burning pain in his lower leg as Shitala struck out and he stumbled onto the ground, unable to escape his foe.

Even as Durga was partially reformed and prepared to battle, Sasaki almost vanished from sight with how fast he moved. Yet even in its state the former guardian was able to partially react to the speed of its foe. It was however difficult to move such a large, heavy and injured body, so its body had barely turned around by the time the barrage unleashed. Weapon coated in armament haki it struck out to meet the onslaught.

The butt of the staff clashed with the first few punches, staving off the power, yet the continuous fire of attacks proved too much. Thrown off balance by the force the stone golem's body was exposed to the brunt of Sasaki's punches and Durga was unable to withstand it all. Cracks started to appear across its torso, leaking light and splitting apart faster than it could repair itself.

A mighty gale of wind and a powerful, burning miniature sun clashed, the wind, flames and primal energy washing over the area as well as Svahi and Brahma. It was a clash of enormous proportions, one truly worthy of the two who fought. And yet, what happened next, was unfathomable. The flames that washed over Brahma stunned him momentarily, the mighty Guardian unused to pain or damage. After all, for all of this life, he stood unsurmountable to all his foes. Svahi took control of the flames, striking forward with his scepter. Next, an explosion of blood. The scepter ripped into Brahma's abdomen. Before the blood could go flying, it collapsed back toward the scepter, getting absorbed. And with it, Brahma's power.

Far away, at the Plaza of the Guardians, Vishnu roared.

No! Vishnu suddenly yelled, rising to their feet from their seat among the four. Across the plaza Shiva raised their head in alarm, but Vishnu only screamed louder. NO!

The sky darkened as electricity sparked around the body of the guardian, a rumble carrying across the sky as thunderclouds appeared above, spreading outwards rapidly.

It was those two roars that snapped Sasaki out of his own mind, which was focused on his rapid, barraging attack. Sasaki could, after all, hear everything on the island, and Vishnu's sudden, piercing roars stood out among everything. Sasaki's eyes widened in shock as he was punching away, but his eyes quickly narrowed once again as he grit his teeth, tightened the grip on his sword, and continued to punch away.

Tsch... d-damn it...!

Sasaki thought. However, he would not falter. Durga had to be put away NOW. As Sasaki's barrage of shockwave punches started to overwhelm Durga's body and caused it to start to break down, powerful lightning flowed from Sasaki's left hand. The lightning flowed into the blade of the sword, surrounding it and then flowing further, creating a lightning sword that was ten times longer and bigger than the physical sword at its core. Hasshouken shockwave energy reverberated around the large lightning sword, and Kitsunebi-ryū flames clad it. The red lightning of Conqueror's Haki crackled, and Sasaki swung his sword, unleashing a mighty combo attack.

The Goro Goro no Mi's lightning created the large sized sword needed to perform a technique of the Giants.
Kitsunebi-ryū and Hasshō-ken added the flames and shockwave energy.
Advanced Conqueror's Haki gave it King's power.

All of it flowed together, to a technique that Sasaki had copied from Yonkou Big Mom herself.

Monkey King's... IKOKU!!!

The beam of fire, shockwave, lightning and Haki aimed to engulf the falling apart Durga, aiming to disintegrate him completely. If Sasaki was successful, he would turn around with haste, reaching out with his right hand toward Brahma's location, and shouting.

Brahma-sama...!!!

Aolai Campaign #37 @Kaka​

The very atmosphere across all of Aolai seemed to shift, the noises of animals and humandrills alike fell silent as the air around them stilled for a split second. Then as if a drain was opened and water was rushing towards the hole the air was pulled inwards by a great force. Spiraling towards the Forbidden Forest, the winds were strong enough to pull stones and break trees in its path. Yet it was quite literally overshadowed by the thunderclouds as dark as the night that gathered above the same location. Where the winds sounded like water rushing, the clouds sounded like a thousand rocks barreling down a hill. What would happen when they reached the bottom?

Did you know Brahma, our powers derive from the same mythos?

In the center of what now had become a clearing in the ancient forest two behemoths battled, the words spoken by one of them seeming to echo on the winds that drew inwards into the body of the other. A weapon of ages was dug into the stomach of the latter, forced there by the hands of the former.

This is fate, do you realize?

Svahi twisted the scepter, ripping further into the flesh of Brahma. The Guardian opened their mouth in pain, but their voice seemed lost to the winds. In fact, instead of speaking any words or crying out in agony, the winds that burst forth from Brahma's mouth traveled down, swirling around the scepter and traveling towards Svahi, just like the blood that wound its way across towards the rebel.

Amun and Ra, a rebellion.

Svahi laughed, they couldn't help themselves, feeling the power flowing into them from their adversary. The winds were roaring all around them, flowing through Brahma, across the scepter and into Svahi. In the distance the rebel saw Sasaki fight nearly concluded, Durga's ancient body spent and broken. Svahi spoke words that spread across the area, their voice amplified by the winds themselves. After the rebellion of Thebes against the Hyksos the gods of Amun and Ra became one...

The air above lit up, pure energy was unleashed.

Durga had battled hard and well, but their foe was too much for this shell to handle. Sasaki cracked and broke its body, stones falling to the ground far faster than the reanimated corpse could reconstruct itself. Yet all of that was nothing before the attack that the formed Protector summoned once he saw the dire situation Brahma was faced with. A wave of lightning, fire and his haki was unleashed towards the unprepared stone golem. The force was so great that the body of the Guardian was ripped apart into tiny pieces, no bigger than pebbles, scattered into the air and trees. Laying there unmoving, they would show no sign of movement. Sasaki was victorious, but at what cost? He was too late. The body of Brahma was losing all its color, transforming into the twin of Durga's, a cast of stone sealing the Guardian's fate even as the former Protector called out.

Brahma failed! We should have known better! Vishnu yelled, raising their arms towards the sky. A spark of electicity flew upwards into the clouds and disappeared towards the air above the Forbidden Forest. I will end Svahi now, while exposed, before it is too late!

If it is not too late... Shiva muttered, a sad tone on their voice.

Hanuman managed to wrestle free from Shitala's grip, striking the other humandrill across the face with their staff. Sent reeling, Shitala was unable to stop the Protector for the moment and Hanuman saw their chance and took it. Even before Sasaki had finished off the body of Durga, Hanuman had been able to cross half the distance towards the two avatars of divinity. He felt helpless as he saw the life and color drain from Brahma, before he could even reach close. The winds drew him inwards, yet they also made his path treacherous.

Then it was as if the heavens themselves had opened up, the thunder clouds above unleashing a beam nearly a hundred meters wide down on the two gargantuan figures. For a split second Hanuman thought he could see Svahi raise his head towards the electric glow, moving their free hand in some motion. Then the lightning crashed into the ground. It was as if the wrath of gods were unleashed on the battlefield. And in reality it was. Vishnu's attack tore into the ground, almost reaching Hanuman himself. The ground heaved and exploded outwards with huge chunks of earth thrown like dust by a storm.

Thrown off his feet once more, Hanuman shielded himself with his arms, even if it was too late and he was untouched by the attack itself. Sitting up, he turned his eyes towards where Svahi and Brahma had stood only moments before. Surely they were both gone now. Yet as the smoke and dust cloud cleared it revealed a barrier in the shape of a dome. Within it stood Svahi, next to the now fully transformed body of Brahma. As if crafted perfectly out of stone, the face of the Guardian was lifeless, yet it showed great pain that they had experienced in their last moments.

Even as the smoke cleared, Hanuman stumbled to his feet and moved forwards, unable to believe his eyes. The area around the two combatans had been utterly destroyed, yet they were untouched due to this strange technique. Even as he stepped towards the edge of what now contained a large chasm, he saw that Svahi was changing.

Became one... Became Amun-Ra! Svahi shouted, their body suddenly growing even larger.

Svahi's leaned forwards with their free hand, their body large enough to even dwarf that of the Guardians. Injured as he was, Hanuman was unable to react, the fingers wrapping around his body and lifting him up.

Now, I am become the God of the Wind, the Sun and Creation itself. Svahi said, holding Hanuman up towards the sky, before turning their eyes towards the last threat on the battlefield, Sasaki.

Despair fell upon the Land of Gods, Aolai. Svahi's scepter ripped into Brahma's flesh, twisting and goring. Brahma's very power started to be drained from him, along with his life force. The color of his skin, the vibrancy that represented living flesh, was starting to fade. Brahma was starting to turn pale, and his skin started to wrinkle. He was aging in real time, his life force leaving him. The Protector Hanuman, whose role was to protect, but was unable to protect in this moment, was watching helplessly. He pushed off of the ground, abandoning his battle with Shitala and rushing toward the scene. But, before he could even get closed, the heavens roared. From the heavens, a pillar of lightning descended, enormous in diameter, and unparalleled in power. The pillar of lightning engulfed the entire section of the now cleared forest, wiping Svahi and Brahma from sight. However, soon enough, the helplessness of Aolai would be felt. The lightning faded, and Svahi was seen inside a barrier, still alive. Brahma's body had been squeezed of life completely at this point, the once great Guardian now nothing but an empty shell. Svahi's body started to grow even larger, his massive arm swiping, the hand reaching for the stunned Hanuman. Swept off of his feet, Hanuman found himself in the grasp of a giant. He did not resist, Hanuman's spirit broken in the face of such unparalleled might, power and dominance. Svahi truly was the Demon of Aolai, he who would destroy it, he who would plunge it into darkness.

Suddenly, the crackling of lightning could be heard. Loud and whipping, it resounded for kilometers far and wide. Svahi's eyes would shift toward the source of the crackling lightning. Sasaki.

With cold, deep, seemingly controlled rage in his eyes and around his person, Sasaki was glaring at Svahi. A deep beast from hundreds of years ago, awakened.

Zeus, come out...

Sasaki said, holding his Monkey King's staff in his right hand. Zeus came out of the staff, materializing in thundercloud form next to Sasaki. Zeus' cloudy body was already darkened and crackling with lightning, he too enraged - perhaps due to Sasaki's own mood.

Sasaki, with his free left hand, reached into his clothing, pulling out what looked like a rope with three knots. He swung his Monkey King's staff up toward the sky. Three eggs shot out, launching up into the sky, where they cracked. From the three eggs, massive stormclouds were unleashed, filling up the entire sky. Lightning started to rumble in the sky, flashing inside the thunderclouds. Sasaki swung his Monkey King's staff two more times, unleashing a barrage of Heat Balls and Cool Balls into the sky. The powerful Heat Balls and Cool Balls destabilized the atmosphere, causing powerful rainfall. Finally, Sasaki undid the three knots on the rope. Like an apocalypse, powerful gales came. A world ending storm, summoned by the God of Storms. The former protector of Aolai.

Zeus shot up into the sky, disappearing into the storm. Sasaki spoke, his voice booming, resounding, even louder than the storm.

Svahi... as former Protector of Aolai, I cannot overlook your transgressions. What you have done has plunged a peaceful Kingdom into chaos. That is an act... that you will pay for with your life.

Sasaki said, his body starting to rumble. Lightning started to crackle, surrounding Sasaki as his body started to grow in size. He tightened the grip on his Monkey King's staff, the weapon starting to grow together with Sasaki. In a matter of moments, God of Lightning Amaru graced Aolai, floating in the middle of the storm of all storms.

Shiva-sama, grace me with your power.

Sasaki said, his voice echoing around Aolai. Whether that was but a prayer, or an actual request, was anyone's guess.

Aolai Campaign #38 @Kaka @Infinity​

We have failed... Shiva sunk back into their seat, holding their bowed head with their hands. Speaking slowly, as if trying to find the next word every time. Was Svahi... correct? Were we fools to hide Aolai from the world below?

Contain yourself. Vishnu said, stepping towards the center of the plaza. Raising their hands towards the sky, the Guardian started to glow for a moment before being engulfed in a mass of energy.

Hear me, Sasaki! Vishnu shouted, knowing that the former Protector would be able to hear his words, given the gift he had given. Take this blessing, made for you. Use it as you will, to cast this scourge from our lands.

Then as a massive wave, the energy built up within the Guardian surged up into the sky, illuminating the dark clouds as if they were alive and flowing forwards a serpent across the sky.

Hanuman was like a mouse caught in the hands of a human, such was the impressive size of Svahi. He struggled against the hold, but the massive fingers didn't budge, nor did his captor give him any attention. No, Svahi's eyes were locked on Sasaki. Sensing the power gathering within his predecessor, Hanuman ceased his struggles and turned his head towards back around.

Sasaki was doing things Hanuman thought no one other than the Guardians should ever have been able to do. The skies above were like an embodiment of Aolai's anger, rumbling its threat down upon Svahi from above. What he had done was unforgiveable, and the skies themselves were ready to mete out divine punishment.

The former Protector looked like an avatar of a Guardian unto himself, his body engulfed in massive electrical powers. His shape was growing rapidly, and although it wasn't as large as Svahi, it gave the actual Guardians a run for their beri.

Svahi turned their body to face Sasaki fully, then raised their free arm up towards the sky, though nothing seemed to happen. At the same time, in the distance the blessing of Vishnu was moving forward at blinding speeds. Once it was above and just behind, the energy would seem to dive down from its own volition, shaped much like a dragon at its head.

The massive amount of power would open its jaws as if to swallow Sasaki whole, but instead it fed itself to the power he surrounded himself in, granting him for the moment a surge in power.

Svahi smiled, and Hanuman felt his body move rapidly as his captor threw him aside as he prepared for the main event. His body violently crashed into a tree a good distance away, breaking the trunk with his body. Falling to the ground, he laid there unable to rise, groaning in pain. All he was able to do was open his eyes and look on the impending battle, though he had a sense he was too close to be safe.

A light above Svahi pierced the storm clouds, not lightning, but instead a pure ray of light shining down on the massive figure. With a smile on their face, the would be god faced down Sasaki, hand still held towards the heaven. And the heaven broke, the light pushing aside the storm clouds in the area immediately over. A sun, several hundred meters wide, pushed its way down slowly.

Once more the area was bathed in sunlight, but the sudden heat was palpable, sweat evaporating directly from Hanuman's skin. Svahi took a step forward, the ground shaking as their foot touched down.

Very impressive, let us see if you are more than a bright light in the night.

Svahi swung his arm, casting the current protector of Aolai, Hanuman, off to the side - a dark moment and a dark realization for the current Protector of Aolai, and his current lack of strength. His body rocketed into a tree in the distance, with enough force to bring the tree down, and Hanuman was left conscious, but unmoving, on the outskirts of the grand finale. Svahi displayed supreme power, while Sasaki's body rumbled with power equaling Gods. Piercing though the storms, Vishnu's power came down in the form of a dragon of pure energy. The dragon opened its maw and swallowed Sasaki - but soon, the energy that made up the dragon was absorbed by Sasaki's Amaru form, bolstering with the powers of a Guardian. Zeus had disappeared into the storms above, while Sasaki floated in the air, his enlarged and elongated Monkey King's staff in his hand. Svahi spoke, stating that he would be interested to see what Sasaki was made of. Whether he was a true Guardian, or just a small little light in the endless dark night. With his hand raised up toward the sky, Svahi started the grand battle.

A powerful sun descended from above the stormy clouds, piercing through the storm and settling itself firmly up above the battlefield. The sun was now the center of the sky, having split the storm - but the vast stormy clouds were filling up the entire sky around Svahi's sun, the two phenomena battling for supremacy up in the sky. Zeus, who had merged with the storm, commanded it. The stormy clouds rumbled, clusters of lightning forming. The clusters of lightning suddenly discharged, shooting massive lightning bolts toward the sun, aiming to destabilize and perhaps even destroy it.

On the battlefield below, Sasaki and Svahi, in their masive avatar forms, would fight. Lightning started to crackle around Sasaki's Monkey King's staff. Cocking the staff backward, Sasaki imbued it with powerful black Busou-shoku no Haki. He then struck forward with it, in the form of a stabbing motion. From the tip of the staff, a powerful, piercing laser of lightning shot forward, roaring with black Busou-shoku no Haki. Sasaki aimed to pierce Svahi from a distance.

Aolai Campaign #39 @Kaka @Infinity​

Svahi stood firm even as Vishnu’s power invaded the battlefield, flowing into Sasaki as a gift, empowering the former guardian against the intruder. Up above, the small sun started to exert its influence, tendrils of plasma spreading outwards in all directions, as well as down towards the battle below. Snaking their way into the storm clouds, the seeking fires would test out the storm, burning it away in its path. The storms might be a force of nature, but a sun, a star, was life itself. It only bowed to time itself.

Many of the tendrils that trailed downwards sought out their creator, Svahi. They almost seemed to have a life of their own, curiously swimming through air itself down towards the massive humanoid figure.

Even so, the battlefield was ready, a new fight beginning. Sasaki began the hostilities, pulling back his staff before thrusting it forward in a point. From the tip of his weapon he shot a powerful beam, aimed directly for Svahi’s torso.

Beneath the golden hue, the skin of Svahi’s arm darkened, empowered by his haki. Already in his form his strength was beyond that which was attainable by even most elite fighters even in the seas below, so it was casually he struck out. Their arm shot forwards, fingers extended to a point as if they were the tip of a blade that was their forearm. Fingertips clashed with pure energy, matching strength matching power, pushing the attack back with a simple strike.

As the forces clashed, the tendrils from above reached Svahi, and the humandrill was seemingly lifted above ground for a moment as the streams of light struck his back, connecting him to the sun above.. More tendrils sprung out from his shoulder blades, piercing the earth and hanging threateningly above.

Sasaki… now that Brahma cannot silence me any longer… Svahi said, their feet touching down once more. Did you never wonder why even you were forbidden from this forest?

Sasaki, in his mighty Amaru form, granting him the power of the Lightning God, struck first. Wielding the enlarged Monkey King's staff, Sasaki struck it forward, unleashing a piercing beam of lightning - an attack that could only be described as a thin, focused, piercing El Thor. Lightning that could pierce the heavens. Svahi, in his mighty form, his body bolstering and rumbling with power, clad his arm with Busou-shoku no Haki, swinging it at the incoming bolt of lightning. The bolt of lightning collided with the armored Humandrill god's hand, before being swiped away, colliding with the ground in the distance and erupting into fire and heat. The Humandrill god was seemingly lifted above ground for a moment as the streams of light struck his back, connecting him to the sun above. More tendrils sprung out from his shoulder blades, piercing the earth and hanging threateningly above.
