Aolai Campaign #40 @Kaka @Infinity

Svahi raised their gaze upwards, seeing the energy flowing upwards from Sasaki to the clouds above. In similar ways, energy seemed to flow both back and forth between Svahi and the small sun above, as the core increased its intensity and the tendrils glowed brighter as they danced around the humandrill. Slowly, they inched forwards, like snakes swimming through the air, in the general direction of Sasaki.

Svahi lowered their eyes again as Sasaki made light of the situation, mocking the pause in combat and room for conversation. Svahi chuckled at the comment, stepping closer to their opponent.

Hardly. Svahi said, raising their right hand up before him, then thrusting it towards Sasaki. As if puppets pulled by strings, several of the tendrils shot forwards, aiming to pierce his foe through the chest.

Surely you are able to talk while having this dance? Svahi said, waiting to see how Sasaki would react to the attack, while more tendrils gathered around their body. You were forbidden from this forest, because it is where Aolai as you know it first began, eons ago. Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu and Durga all came to their godhood here.

Sasaki chastised Svahi for stopping their battle for the sake of conversation - but it seemed Svahi had something important to say. Nonetheless, he continued his onslaught. Motioning with his hand toward Sasaki, Svahi directed the tendrils of plasma toward Sasaki. Sasaki swung his free arm as well, unleashing a number of large spheres of lightning toward the incoming tendrils.

The spheres and tendrils clashed one for one, erupting into powerful explosions of fire and lightning. The forest continued to shake - perhaps even die off. After all, a forest, as divine as it was, could not stand in the face of a battle between the God of Fire and the God of Lightning.

You were forbidden from this forest, because it is where Aolai as you know it first began, eons ago. Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu and Durga all came to their godhood here.
Svahi said, Sasaki now facing the palm of his free hand toward Svahi. A powerful cluster of lightning formed at the center of Sasaki's palm and then fired. The massive beam of lightning, imbued with Busou-shoku no Haki, ripped through the air, aiming to engulf Svahi. The El Thor variation, namely the El Thor Maximum, was large enough to engulf Svahi whole.

Why would they forbid me from the cradle of Aolai?

Sasaki questioned, Svahi's words nonsensical to Sasaki.

Aolai Campaign #41 @Kaka @Infinity

There is nothing gods fear as much as one that would stand among them as one of their own. Svahi said, the voice of the magnificent being easily heard even over the explosions of fire and crackle of electricity. Even as the air filled with violent energy, the would be tyrant of Aolai stepped closer towards Sasaki, a self satisfied smile on their face.

Following the initial clash, Sasaki followed up with a classic, named for the deity Vishnu mimicked. Lighting appeared in his hands, expanding outwards before shooting forwards towards Svahi. Despite their field of view being concealed, it was hard for Svahi to not sense the energy as it flew towards them.

Lifting their left arm with and open palm before them, Svahi spun the hand clockwise then thrust it forwards. It was a simple technique, but it carried with it the strength of the two gods held within. Shooting forth from their strike a wide blast of air, empowered by their haki, crashed into the oncoming surge of electricity, diverting it to either side of their body.

Svahi will tell him the truth, we must stop this! Vishnu raised their arms towards the sky, lightning once more gathering in their limbs and rising in intensity at rapid speeds. Sasaki, I am sorry, but-

No, old friend. Shiva’s massive hand fell on Vishnu’s shoulder, and the other humandrill trembled from the shock of electricity that traveled throughout their body, but even so they stood firm in their conviction. We must trust that Sasaki will do the right thing. He has earned that at least.

Vishnu sneered at the words, but still paused. Nodding, the Guardian of Storms let their arms fall, the lighting dissipating around them.

This is the place, as fledgling humandrills the four of them found a home long ago. This is where they founded the start of what would later become the civilization known as Aolai. Svahi still walked ever closer, even as the energy cleared between the two fighters. Several tendrils now flowed down, curling around their arms, like both a guard and reinforcement.

This is where those humandrills, regular mortals like you and I once were, found powers from which they ascended to godhood. These were the trees that bore the fruits of legends, which you and I know as Devil Fruits.

Fear is what drove them to forbid access to these groves. Fear that the truth of their divinity would come to light. But also fear that another tree would sprout fruit that would elevate one of us to their level. Even after centuries and millennia, despite no such fruit having appeared, they denied us.

They didn’t even trust you, their loyal Protector. I know, because I found their texts, wherein they wrote their darkest secrets.

The mighty El Thor Maximum ripped through the distance toward Svahi - a blast of electricity truly so large that it could wreck an island whole. And yet Svahi, his arms wielding the powers of a God, unleashed a mighty gale which dissipated the lightning with equal power.

Sasaki questioned Svahi's words, but the destroyer of Aolai knew the truest of secrets. Those buried in the history of Aolai, that even Sasaki did not know. Sasaki, his godlike body rumbling with the lightning of Amaru, remained stoic, listening to Svahi's tale of a past long gone. The birth of Aolai as a nation and as a culture, at the hands of the Guardians, who birthed the nation, and then ruled it as Gods for thousands of years. Indeed, a sickening story, to one with aspirations such as Svahi. Bearing great jealous and resentment, Svahi loathed the fact that some stood above him, ruling over him. And so to Svahi, the Guardians' actions were unjust, impermissible and unforgivable. Svahi expected for this to resonate with Sasaki.

In fact, Vishnu was worried about the same. Sasaki's answer, however, would come as a surprise.

This is where those humandrills, regular mortals like you and I once were, found powers from which they ascended to godhood.
And fortunately so... it was them who found it, and not I.

Sasaki said, likely shocking Svahi to the core.

Svahi... you seem to misunderstand. Godhood is not a blessing... but a mighty curse. A role truly unselfish, where every decision made is for the greater good.

A selfish person like I... would not fit the role.

Sasaki said, smiling.

My godness... if I had the power of a God, and something happened to my Lady Yoshitsune... I can see it. The images of the world burning.

I have no such aspirations Svahi... but you do. You seek godhood, for your own selfish gain. To satiate your jealousy and greed for power.

And for this reason, Svahi...

YOU DO NOT QUALIFY!

Sasaki roared, lightning erupting from his body and shooting up into the lightning storm above. Zeus, or rather, the massive storm that he had become, rumbled with powerful thunderclaps, loud enough to reach every corner of Aolai. Svahi would be stopped here. The was the grand finale.

Aolai Campaign #42 @Kaka @Infinity

Vishnu was sitting on their throne, face buried in their hands listening to the two combatants speaking to each other far away across the lands of Aolai. Still doubt lingered in the ancient creature, their body trembled but not because of their powers of the storms. No, instead it was the betrayal of their people’s trust all these years, now laid bare to Sasaki at the hands of this demon.

Then Sasaki replied, and a wave of relief washed over Vishnu, as well as Shiva who stood nearby. They both looked at each other and smiled, both knowing the other felt the same way.

Thank you. They both said at the same time, hoping that their sentiment carried to Sasaki. They might see themselves as selfish and fearful, perhaps even tyrannical, as Svahi had claimed, but they had at least tried. Even gods were fallible.

Svahi frowned as Sasaki seemed to accept the accusations at face value, then cast them aside. They stopped their advance, pausing for a moment to take in the words. Above, the clouds and sun battled for supremacy, spreading their influence in several directions. The dark thunderclouds spread across all of Aolai, passing even the two remaining Guardians. Svahi instead focused his sun and its reach in a cone aimed towards the two godlike figures below. Steadily they spread further and further, countless tendrils well past halfway towards the two of them.

Ah well. Svahi said finally, a smile spreading across their face. It was worth a shot. Alas, the old lapdog is too loyal.

The issue of my qualifications are on test right now, you mutt.
Svahi shouted the last two words, a dig at his half human half humandrill heritage, not that they expected the former Protector to fall to such a cheap taunt. However, once the words left their mouth, Svahi once more advanced on their foe.

The ground beneath Svahi’s feet exploded as they kicked off their charge. Where before they had been walking slowly, now the avatar of the deity charged forwards with all the speed their body now possessed, leaving a trail of brilliant light that whipped wildly.

In the manner of a split second, half the distance between the two foes was crossed and Svahi rapidly pulled back their right fist, then punched towards Sasaki. The air around their fist sparked with lightning for a brief moment, then the air in front of their fist exploded. Shooting outwards like a wide cone, the attack aimed to catch Sasaki in the center, crushing him together with the rest of the area caught in the blast.

Once having unleashed the attack, Svahi slowed their own advance greatly, allowing himself a chance to see how his foe would react to the attack. In addition, the tendrils that trailed behind were allowed to catch up, as well as pass by the humandrill, so search out in the direction of Sasaki, prepared to strike or defend against a possible counter attack.

Svahi's cheap tricks bounced off of the proverbial wall that was Sasaki's loyalty to Aolai, as well as its Deities. Whether Svahi was angered by his failed attempt was anyone's guess, but words and further conversation seemed abandoned by the evil Humandrill, who charged forward, engaging in the finale. Zeus rumbled with great power up above, his stormy clouds spreading about Aolai. Soon, he would be at his strongest. An incarnation of storms, named after a God.

Svahi hurled his fist forward, unleashing a wide cone shaped attack that aimed to engulf Sasaki, who stood ready in his Amaru form. Sasaki stepped forward in sync with Svahi, hurling his free left hand forward in the form of a punch as well. From Sasaki's fist, an enormous shockwave of Haki and Conqueror's Haki was unleashed, however, it was filled with an incredible amount of lightning - as were all attacks performed by Sasaki in his Amaru form.

Amaru's... Galaxy punch...!

The two enormous attacks pushed against one another, battling for supremacy. And yet, supremacy did not come. The two seemed equally matched, a struggle of the Gods. Sasaki's voice roared, echoing far and wide. The Deities would hear it.

If Aolai is to withstand this war, it needs to finish now.

My masters... I WILL BE GOING ALL OUT SOON. IF I AM WORTHY, SUPPORT ME!

Sasaki's voice said, he not found. If Svahi was able to feel for Sasaki's presence, he would find it scattered all over the storm above. Where has Sasaki gone?

Svahi watched intently as his attack flew forward and Sasaki responded immediately, unleashing an equally devastating attack. Meeting in between them, the forces tore at each other, twisting and mixing like primal forces. In doing so, the two combatants were visually obscured from one another, despite their massive size. Even so, the would-be Guardian of Aolai could still sense their foe. Only that the essence of Sasaki seemed to shift, transform and spread upwards.

For the regular denizens of Aolai it would be strange and confusing to see, but for Svahi who had traveled and battled on the Blue seas below for four centuries, the appearance of a Logia power was far from surprising. And so, as the voice of Sasaki filled the air, emanating from all around the battlefield and above. Svahi thought they could see the energy that was the former Protector rise into the clouds above, disappearing into the storm itself.

Vishnu listened to the words shouted by Sasaki, and moved without a word in response. If the Guardian had been glowing before, now Vishnu shone like a beacon that could be seen for miles, stretching upwards in the sky. Then, like an explosion all the energy shot upwards and traveled forwards towards Sasaki, aiming to engulf and empower him. It was so much that even the former Protector should feel some pain from the power that surged into his being, even despite his current form.

give your next attack +1 DPR

Svahi raised an eyebrow at the spectacle above, though it seemed their opponent had not made any moves yet. Not wanting to give Sasaki more room to breathe than necessary, Svahi lifted off the ground, moving upwards rapidly. Surrounding their creator, the fissures of pure light moved like snakes, seemingly searching ahead. Above, the small sun continued to slowly increase in size, now having reached 100 meters in diameter, yet still growing bigger. And now as Svahi rose to the sky, the sun would start to move forwards, towards the center of the source of Sasaki's being.

Svahi's very being seemed to glow, though whether it was from light or flames was hard to tell. The glow seemed to emenate from Svahi's chest, then twist its way around their body and out across their limbs, before gathering in even stronger luminance at the tip of their feet and hands.
