The mighty El Thor Maximum ripped through the distance toward Svahi - a blast of electricity truly so large that it could wreck an island whole. And yet Svahi, his arms wielding the powers of a God, unleashed a mighty gale which dissipated the lightning with equal power.
There is nothing gods fear as much as one that would stand among them as one of their own.
Svahi will tell him the truth, we must stop this! Vishnu raised their arms towards the sky, lightning once more gathering in their limbs and rising in intensity at rapid speeds. Sasaki, I am sorry, but-
No, old friend. Shiva’s massive hand fell on Vishnu’s shoulder, and the other humandrill trembled from the shock of electricity that traveled throughout their body, but even so they stood firm in their conviction. We must trust that Sasaki will do the right thing. He has earned that at least.
This is the place, as fledgling humandrills the four of them found a home long ago. This is where they founded the start of what would later become the civilization known as Aolai. Svahi still walked ever closer, even as the energy cleared between the two fighters. Several tendrils now flowed down, curling around their arms, like both a guard and reinforcement.
This is where those humandrills, regular mortals like you and I once were, found powers from which they ascended to godhood. These were the trees that bore the fruits of legends, which you and I know as Devil Fruits.
Fear is what drove them to forbid access to these groves. Fear that the truth of their divinity would come to light. But also fear that another tree would sprout fruit that would elevate one of us to their level. Even after centuries and millennia, despite no such fruit having appeared, they denied us.
They didn’t even trust you, their loyal Protector. I know, because I found their texts, wherein they wrote their darkest secrets.
Sasaki questioned Svahi's words, but the destroyer of Aolai knew the truest of secrets. Those buried in the history of Aolai, that even Sasaki did not know. Sasaki, his godlike body rumbling with the lightning of Amaru, remained stoic, listening to Svahi's tale of a past long gone. The birth of Aolai as a nation and as a culture, at the hands of the Guardians, who birthed the nation, and then ruled it as Gods for thousands of years. Indeed, a sickening story, to one with aspirations such as Svahi. Bearing great jealous and resentment, Svahi loathed the fact that some stood above him, ruling over him. And so to Svahi, the Guardians' actions were unjust, impermissible and unforgivable. Svahi expected for this to resonate with Sasaki.
In fact, Vishnu was worried about the same. Sasaki's answer, however, would come as a surprise.
This is where those humandrills, regular mortals like you and I once were, found powers from which they ascended to godhood.
And fortunately so... it was them who found it, and not I.
Sasaki said, likely shocking Svahi to the core.
Svahi... you seem to misunderstand. Godhood is not a blessing... but a mighty curse. A role truly unselfish, where every decision made is for the greater good.
A selfish person like I... would not fit the role.
Sasaki said, smiling.
My godness... if I had the power of a God, and something happened to my Lady Yoshitsune... I can see it. The images of the world burning.
I have no such aspirations Svahi... but you do. You seek godhood, for your own selfish gain. To satiate your jealousy and greed for power.
And for this reason, Svahi...
YOU DO NOT QUALIFY!
Sasaki roared, lightning erupting from his body and shooting up into the lightning storm above. Zeus, or rather, the massive storm that he had become, rumbled with powerful thunderclaps, loud enough to reach every corner of Aolai. Svahi would be stopped here. The was the grand finale.
