Aokiji stepped forward, his eyes only on Sephiroth as the pirate prattled on. He spoke of killing the admiral, as well as boasting of having killed special admiral Fujitora. Having seen the stranger's powers in action, the words were only confirmation of what he had feared once he arrived. Issho was dead, it was a hard blow to the marines, and they were already suffering before this. Even Kuzan could not allow this man to roam free like this after today, it would forever stain the name of the World Government. Whatever name that was these days.
Aokiji held his left hand up before him, palm facing up and fingers curled inwards as if grabbing the air itself. The ground around Sephiroth would rapidly freeze despite the heat from the lunarian, while the admiral placed his right hand above in the same position but palm facing downwards. Around them all the snow in the air grew thicker, drawing even closer to Sephiroth before melting.
Both hands held before him, Aokiji rapidly pressed his fingers inwards, until the tips of each touched in the middle. Ice Maiden.
Like the ancient torture device that encased and impaled its victim, the ice and snow burst forth towards Sephiroth from all directions. The ground, in front, to the sides and behind, even above. Feeding on the water that had been evaporated by the pirate, the spikes seemed to grow out of nothing, black as the night, seeking to impale its target and bleed him dry.

Admiral Aokiji stepped forward, the gaze in his eyes as cold as the powers that he was known for. He stared into Sephiroth's soul, unwilling to engage in pointless conversation. This was exactly what Sephiroth wanted. That was why he used Admiral Fujitora's name as provocation. This was a fight that Sephiroth needed - for his goal and dreams to become one step closer to reality. It was still a mystery, what exactly Sephiroth's play was. But perhaps, this battle would shed some light on it. From here on out, this would be a brutal confrontation, without a doubt. Aokiji motioned with one hand, then the other, and the attack was coming. Almost instantly, massive spikes of ice, many in numbers, formed out of nowhere and all collapsed in on Sephiroth's position, aiming to skewer him from all directions. The ice would collide, forming a makeshift prison of spikes. However, an attack like this was not expected to bring Sephiroth down - and it would not. Suddenly, the spikes of ice would start to crack, as well as melt, both concussive force and heat working together. In the middle of the icy prison of spikes, Sephiroth was seen, having erected a barrier of both powerful gravity, and fire, lacing the outside of the spherical barrier.
A sphere of purple and hot, burning orange. The barrier of gravity and fire suddenly expanded outward, breaking the prison of spikes, while the barrier itself also faded, equal in stride.

Sephiroth pointed the blade of his sword up toward the sky, and from the tip of his blade, massive rings of purple energy suddenly erupted, shooting up toward the sky. The rings of gravitational energy disappeared moments thereafter, nothing happening. Sephiroth then pushed off of the ground, charging toward Admiral Aokiji. He kept Vice Admiral Doll in his peripherals, but he would not focus on her at this point in time. She was of secondary importance.
Admiral Aokiji watched as his attack was dispelled, cast aside by a torrent of flames that surrounded his foe. Even as the spikes melted, stopping a short distance from their target, he swung his arms out, as if reaching out towards the cold ground around him. Commanded by his presence, frost spread across his body rapidly. Crystals turned to ice that quickly shaped into armor, coating his torso and limbs, extending from the tips of his hands like blades.
Seeing that his foe had charged forwards, Kuzan mirrored the move, rushing forwards to meet the pirate. Before they even reached close, the admiral thrust his right arm forward, unleashing a flurry of ice with the aim to pierce Sephiroth’s torso from the front. Even as he did, he held his left hand back, ready for whatever follow up his foe presented him with.

Meanwhile Doll moved to position herself to Sephiroth’s left, so the two marines wouldn’t be in each other’s line of fire. About fifteen meters away, she thrust her right hand forwards, finger aimed towards the pirate. The flying shigan aimed to hit Sephiroth from the side, just as he was dealing with the attack from Aokiji, so one of them might pierce through. Aimed for the middle of the pirate’s torso on the side, it hopefully would cause some damage to him.

Sephiroth charged toward Admiral Aokiji - the Lunarian fire burning on his back, as well as cladding the blade of his sword. Keeping his Kenbun-shoku no Haki active, Sephiroth kept an eye on the positions of both of his opponents, Vice Admiral Doll included. He sensed her flanking him, while Admiral Aokiji was preparing an attack on his own. Both Navy soldiers fired their attacks simultaneously, Aokiji unleashing a powerful flurry of ice from the front, while Doll fired a flying Shigan from the side. Sephiroth skid to a stop and bent his knees. Utilizing the powers of the Zushi Zushi no Mi, Sephiroth cancelled the weight of gravity on his body and then pushed off of the ground.
He shot off of the ground with incredible ease and speed, performing what looked like a supernatural leap, with gravity not holding him back at all. Ending up high above the battlefield as the two attacks missed and hit each other, Sephiroth went onto the offensive. Two massive dragons of fire formed from the Lunarian fire on his back. Clad with Busou-shoku no Haki, the massive dragons of fire descended, opening their large maws. One of the dragons of fire went for Doll, while the other went for Aokiji, the two fiery beasts aiming to engulf the two Navy soldiers.
However, this was only the first part of Sephiroth's assault. As Aokiji and Doll were dealing with the two dragons of fire, the heavens above would suddenly split open, the snow storm up in the sky vanquished. A massive meteor ripped through, descending down toward Aokiji and Doll. A mighty attack capable of wiping out an entire village, and an attack that only the likes of the Zushi Zushi no Mi could bring to life.

As both Doll and Aokiji converged on Sephiroth, neither one of them were surprised when he avoided the attacks, but it didn’t stop them from being impressed by the speed and height he rose towards the sky with. The powers of gravity was truly one of the most awesome powers on this strange earth.
Suspended in the air above the battlefield, Sephiroth channeled the power innate to him as a lunarian beyond what he had displayed before today, perhaps not in power, but insteads as a spectacle. Several dragons made from fire surged forth, one bearing down on each of the two marines, aiming to engulf and incinerate both of them.
This alone put this fight on a level above most that took place in these tumultuous seas, yet what followed after was even more ominous. Even despite the thick snowfall that filled the air all the way up to the heavens, the meteor that appeared above them was clear as a sunny day. Splitting the skies with its awesome force, the enormous object threatened to pulverize a large part of Punk Hazard. The snow around them momentarily melted, fading away before the double onslaught unleashed by Sephiroth, leaving the arena fully clear, at least for the moment.
Yet neither Aokiji nor Doll were deterred, quite literally leaping into action in face of the destruction that bore down on them. Kicking the air, both climbed upwards as if using invisible steps to guide them.
Faced with the dragon head on, Kuzan thrust his left arm forwards while spinning it in a circle. The shards of ice that were borne from his arm shot forwards as they had from his other hand moments before, except in a wider spray. Ice collided with fire and both attacks fizzled away, the cold and hot equaling out to a steam that washed over the admiral.

Doll, you take care of that stone. The admiral said, climbing further towards Sephiroth.
The Vice Admiral approached her own fiery beast in a similar fashion, yet more simple. Her right fist clenched, thrust forward. Embodied in her strike were the essences of tekkai and rankyaku. Strength and solidity came together with the power of utilizing the air itself as an attack. Just before the dragon swallowed her whole she unleashed a shockwave into its gullet, blasting it apart from the inside, allowing her to pass through the maw unscathed.

Roger that. She responded to Aokiji’s order, continuing her ascent. Her eyes were on the meteor as it fell towards the combatants and the fleeing marines on the ground below. It was large enough that she knew most of the people on Punk Hazard would die from the impact, at least those below her own rank. So she knew she would have to neutralize it until the outfall was far less deadly.
She climbed higher and higher, until she nearly reached the rock. The air was thinner up here, yet it was less cold. She was unsure if that was because of the heat of the meteor or her distance from the admiral. Banishing all other thoughts, she only focused on the task before her. Pushing both hands forward, meeting in the middle, she unleashed a devastating force directly towards the center of the meteor, a shockwave that used all six parts of rokushiki and her armament haki to dive into the core of the stone and tear it apart from the inside.
Rokuogan! She shouted as her attack made contact, penetrating deep within the meteor. Then, just as the skies had split a moment ago, the stone shattered from inside out, breaking into thousands of smaller, far less devastating objects that now fell towards the earth below.

Meanwhile, Aokiji was allowed to focus all his attention towards Sephiroth. Ranged attacks had constantly failed him, it was time to get close and personal. The ice that had spawned around his arms had regrown and now he decided to approach the pirate even closer to see what he would do then.
The two mighty dragons of fire were born in the heavens, bearing down on the two Navy soldiers below. Rocketing downward through the air with blistering speed, the two dragons of fire sought the two Navy soldiers' lives, aiming to engulf them and set them ablaze. Both of the Navy soldiers, Admiral Aokiji, and Vice Admiral Doll, decided to deal with the attacks head on. Taking off of the ground with Geppou, they climbed the air, approaching the two descending dragons. Admiral Aokiji swung his arm, clad with frost, snow and ice. From the swipe of his arm, a blast of ice erupted, meeting the descending dragon head on. Fire and ice, equal in strength - a thick mist of steam and obscurity was born. Vice Admiral Doll had an answer for the dragon as well, combining the art of Tekkai and Rankyaku, strength and solidity gave birth to a powerful shockwave, which Vice Admirl Doll rammed into the dragon's maw, blasting it apart. However, the two dragons of fire were but a distraction. As soon as the dragons of fire were cast away from blocking the Navy soldiers' sights with their large bodies, they would see a meteor plummeting from the heavens. The meteor flew past Sephiroth, who was high, high up in the air, and descended toward the shoreline of Punk Hazard, where the battle was taking place. The meteor's size, power and speed, which would all translate to impact, had the potential to terraform all of Punk Hazard. The power of gravity, truly terrifying and unique to itself.
Vice Admiral Doll was to take the task of obliterating the meteor, which was so large that it would obscure the view of Sephiroth behind it, to both the Vice Admiral and the Admiral. Vice Admiral Doll further climbed the air through Geppou, approaching the impending, apocalyptic blazing rock. As soon as she was upon it, Vice Admiral Doll swung both of her arms forward, fists next to one another. At the pinnacle of the double fisted punch, a mighty shockwave erupted, ripping into the meteor. Admiral Aokiji aimed to further climb to meet Sephiroth in the sky, but Sephiroth was gone - having used the massive body of the meteor as a tool to cloak his whereabouts.
And that's when it would happen. The powerful Rokuougan struck the meteor down the middle, causing a fissure to spread vertically all the way up and down the body of the meteor. Then, a thousand other fissures spread to the left and right halves of the meteor, and in an instant, the mighty rock shattered. And through the shattered debris, Sephiroth came roaring in with mighty speed. He had subjected his own body to an unparalleled amount of gravity, which had caused him to start rocketing downward right after his own meteor, with incredible speed. As soon as the massive rock was shattered in front of Vice Admiral Doll, Sephiroth came blitzing past the debris and past Vice Admiral Doll. Swinging his sword, Sephiroth aimed to cut Vice Admiral Doll down in one decisive blow, masked by his two prior attacks.
Space shattering cut...!
Black Busou-shoku no Haki. The crackling lightning of Conqueror's Haki. The blade roared with immense gravity, pulling Vice Admiral Doll in toward the cut, on top of the surprise factor and timing of the attack - making evasion incredibly difficult. The show of advanced Conqueror's Haki, as well as cutting the Vice Admiral down. Sephiroth aimed to make a mark here and now, in front of Admiral Aokiji.
While Vice Admiral Doll had had her focus on the oncoming meteor, Admiral Aokiji was focused on the real threat. Sephiroth himself. Doll might not have been able to notice the pirate’s deception, but her superior was more attentive. Sensing his adversary every move, he hung back for a moment, a bit behind her, waiting to see what would happen.
Immediately as the meteor was shattered by Doll’s attack, Aokiji felt Sephiroth make his move. Moving forward, hidden by the debris, he was amassing a great amount of power in this technique. Too much, too soon! Doll would not be able to overcome this. She wouldn’t even be able to realize what was going on until it was too late.
Kamisori. Aokiji whispered as he tapped his foot on thin air, seemingly disappearing. A split second later, it was as if a wind washed over Vice Admiral Doll, just as Sephiroth was emerging into view before her. She was unable to react as the tremendous power in the assailant’s blade cut into her and through her, drawing her in. She seemed to drift for the blink of an eye, largely unaffected, before shattering into thousands of pieces of ice.
Aokiji emerged from a blur behind Sephiroth, holding the real Doll in his left arm, his right hand straight as a blade and pulled back. With a quick thrust, he threw his hand forward, a spear of ice shooting forth from the tip of his fingers, aiming to pierce the pirate from behind, emitting a wide swath of frost in its path.
121 speed during kamisori, 2 tiers above sephiroth reaction speed.
The meteor shattered from Vice Admiral Doll's attack, but as soon as it did, Sephiroth appeared in front of her, already mid swing. Powerful gravity swirled around the blade of his sword, pulling her in toward the sword as he swung - almost impossible to avoid. The mighty gravity sword ripped through Vice Admiral Doll in the blink of an eye. But, there was something wrong. No blood. No aura - Sephiroth was, after all, a master of Kenbun-shoku no Haki, his ability of awareness especially potent. Vice Admiral Doll shattered into ice and Admiral Aokiji appeared behind Sephiroth, holding Doll.
As soon as Admiral Aokiji appeared behind Sephiroth, he struck. Unparalleled speed, it would be almost impossible, if not impossible, to avoid. But, there was one saving grace. Admiral Aokiji's attack, or rather the speed of it, was not as quick as his Kamisori itself. As for Sephiroth, he had a way to defend without moving at all - a defense as quick as his thoughts could fly. When Aokiji threw his hand forward, unleashing a spear of ice accompanied by a wide swath of frost, the Lunarian fire on Sephiroth's back, mixed in with powerful Haki, erupted in an inferno of fire and Haki, colliding with the incoming spear.

The eruption of Sephiroth's Lunarian flames would engulf both Sephiroth, as well as Admiral Aokiji and Vice Admiral Doll. Moments later, Sephiroth was seen freefalling from the explosion up in the air. He impacted the snowy terrain down below, resulting in a large cloud of obscurity kicking up. By the time it cleared, Sephiroth was seen getting back up, multiple bruises on his body from the attack, as well as the impact with the ground. Looking up at Admiral Aokiji, who at that point was still higher up in the air, Sephiroth spoke.
This is surprising... are you stronger than Fujitora?
Sephirtoh asked, tightening the grip on his sword.
Admiral Aokjii, still carrying Doll in his arms, descended towards the ground below. His Geppo had reached his limit, and he needed a pause. Below, Sephiroth fell towards the ground, eventually crashing into the frozen wastes below. Aokiji was satisfied to see that the other marines had managed to get a distance away. He had not been contacted by any of the other groups of marines again, so he felt fairly certain that this man was working alone. And with the threat he posed, he should be dealt with as soon as possible.
Tokikake, could you make your way here? The Admiral spoke into his den den mushi, as he quickly approached the ground below.
Roger that, sir. The voice of the oldest of the vice admirals present replied, his voice still cheery despite the circumstances. Satisfied, the admiral put the phone away in his coat and dropped Doll the last distance to the ground. Landing in the white blanket next to her, he leaned forward and placed his hands on the snow, taking in the words that Sephiroth had spoken.
I am not very familiar with Issho, Aokiji said, his voice as cool as the air, and I never fought him myself.
The frozen wastes started to shift, and rise slowly around the three of them.
But I will use all my might to bring you to justice, and find out who is behind these… “hunts”.
Admiral Aokiji spoke, surprisingly stating that he was not very familiar with Admiral Fujitora, nor had they ever fought. While this information was not strategically or otherwise important in any way to Sephiroth, it was still interesting to him. He figured the strongest of the Navy were closer to one another, in a sense - comrades working together. But it seemed they were all just there to do a job, and while some got along, others didn't, nor were they asked to. This brought up an interesting question, one that was incredibly relevant to Sephiroth's goals. And so, it was time to ask it. As the frozen wasteland shifted around the battlefield and Admiral Aokiji announced his intentions, Sephiroth spoke, the sword still gripped tightly in his hand, the fire on his back burning ferociously.
I see... it appears even though you were allies, you were not really comrades.
Is it fair to assume all of you Admirals have different goals? Different senses of justice?
If that is the case... what is yours, Admiral Aokiji...?
Sephiroth asked, his eyes glaring. What was the Navy really?
Kuzan was surprised to hear his foe willing to engage in conversation. After all, he assumed the pirate would have heard the conversation from moments before, and realized that yet another combatant was on the way. Was he overconfident as he wasn’t afraid to extend the battle until yet another combatant entered the fray, or was it a genuine curiosity that led him to this? Either way, a short breather was fine for the admiral.
We were acquaintances. Aokiji admitted loudly, even as the ice rose even higher around them, curling like walls that arced inwards like a dome. Issho is- was a newer addition to our ranks. Drafted into his current position not long ago, I didn’t have much of a chance to get to know the man. But yes, us marines are all different individuals with different purposes and sense of duty and justice
From what I gathered, his way was that of Humane Justice. He saw the protection of innocent people as paramount. Aokiji’s words had a bite to them at the end, his anger taking hold. Yet that was the life that you seem to have snuffed out? Some would call that unforgivable.
My sense of duty is Lazy Justice. It seems that rarely the effort of pursuing justice is worth the cost, that you should pick your battles better. The admiral let the words hang in the air for a moment as nothing but frosted breath came from his mouth. Yet when what I would pursue come straight to me, the evil that has cause great pain, even I will be moved to act.
The walls of ice had almost entirely enclosed, trapping the three combatants inside. Another few seconds and the hole at the top would close.
The walls of ice started to rise and conversation continued, despite reinforcements on the way. A surprising move by Sephiroth, one that piqued even the Admiral's interest. This was nothing but a testament to the weight of the conversation - Sephiroth place the importance of these questions higher than the importance of strategy in battle, at this moment in time. Of course, Sephiroth was not oblivious to the situation, and so as the dome of ice was about to finish closing up, Sephiroth pointed the blade of his sword up toward the sky. Rings of purple gravitational energy shot through the hole in the ice right before it closed off. The rings disappeared into the skies above.
And then there's Absolute Justice...
Sephiroth said, lowering his sword again.
Humane justice, where the protection of innocents is paramount.
Absolute Justice, which would sacrifice an innocent's life in the blink of an eye, if it was to help achieve a strategic goal of the World Government.
How are these conflicting senses of justice meant to work together.
If an innocent Lunarian crossed paths with Admiral Fujitora and Admiral Akainu, what would happen?
Sephiroth asked, trying to decipher the workings of the World Government. An institution that deemed itself the bringer of justice, and yet, an institution so very flawed.
Aokiji watched as just before the ice sealed them inside, Sephiroth raised his sword towards the sky. From the tip of the blade shot multiple purple rings of strange energy, escaping into the air above just in time. A strange technique, he wished he had learned more about his former colleagues’ power before, but now it was too late.
Keep that in mind. Aokiji nudged his head upwards as he spoke quietly to Doll. The woman nodded, but kept her eyes on Sephiroth himself. The admiral then turned his attention back to the pirate as the man finished speaking.
Just like there is no one answer to any question in this world, there is no one method that can be applied to all situations. Aokiji said, finally stepping forwards as the ice had sealed them inside. He extended his arms to the side as one sword formed in each of his hands. Both were of brilliant ice, reflecting the light that still made its way through the ice that surrounded them.
If a lunarian crossed paths with Akainu and Fujitora, I think Absolute Justice would prevail, as Issho is dead. The Admiral bit down on the words as the strode towards Sephiroth, trailed by Doll.
As he reached closer to the pirate Aokiji swung his left sword horizontally, aiming to cut Sephiroth across his mid torso. At the same time he curled the fingers on his right hand while holding the sword, causing the ice behind the pirate to burst forth in the shape of multiple spikes aimed at his back. Not expecting this to be able to finish the man off, Aokiji held his right sword at the ready. Behind him, Doll stood ready to assist.

Sephiroth, a man otherwise relentless in battle, and one not to hold meaningless conversations, had stopped the battle in order to talk. And there was a reason for it. The questions that Sephiroth posed, were questions that he sought answers for. And the answers to these questions, would shape Sephiroth's end goal. Sephiroth expected to find out more here - and that was the only reason why he had decided to go after Admiral Aokiji. What was the World Government TRULY about? As little as the likelihood was, in fact in Sephiroth's mind, the likelihood was close to zero, but it was not quite zero. Perhaps, just perhaps, Sephiroth was mistaken about the evils of the World Government. For that, he wanted to make sure. And for that, the questions that he posed were paramount.
An answer of utter sarcasm. Darkness fell on Sephiroth's face. He grith his teeth and clenched his fists. And then, the anger.
What absolute horseshit. I see now.
You people... ARE NOT THE ONES TO DELIVER JUSTICE TO MY PEOPLE.
Sephiroth roared as Admiral Aokiji charged toward him.
Thud. THUD. THUD. THUD.
A beat similar to a heartbeat resonated with every step Admiral Aokiji took as he approached. And then it happened. When Admiral Aokiji blinked, the entire battlefield would shift. A moment ago, they were in a prison of ice. The moment thereafter, the prison of ice was gone.
Awakening. The Zushi Zushi no Mi affected the world around it, like all Awakened Paramecias do. The ice prison, along with the entire battlefield was transformed into a world ''constructed'' by the powers of the Zushi Zushi no Mi. Inside the barrier, the natural laws start to break down - extreme gravity, Awakened. A spatial collapse. The icy ground, visually, turns into matter akin to outer space, and large chunks of debris and other structures inside the barrier turn, visually, into celestial bodies, each with a gravity of their own. A true new world inside the Zushi Zushi no Mi's Awakening - a climate of harsh gravity and great forces at work.
If Admiral Aokiji continued with his attack, Sephiroth would jump away, avoiding it. The ice that Admiral Aokiji was going to use to follow up with his attack, was gone. He could create new ice in this world, of course. If Admiral Aokiji looked up at Sephiroth, who had ascended higher up, he would see multiple meteors descending from above. In a matter of seconds, they would hit the battlefield.

As Aokiji rushed forwards, the world shifted all around them. The ice that they were entombed within was suddenly gone, and the frozen wasteland was replaced by something from quite literally out of this world. Torn asunder, the surrounding started to float strangely upwards, as if the very laws of nature no longer applied here.
The Admiral focused on the task at hand, trying to cut through the pirate despite the change in environment, however his foe was too quick. Escaping upwards, he flew far above the sword swing, then even higher. Silently Aokiji watched as Sephiroth rose ever higher, bringing down more death and destruction on the marines below. Meteors were falling at immense speeds, threatening to crush them whole and break them just as the land had been.
Stay close to me. Aokiji said calmly as frost spread on the strange surface they stood on. Doll nodded and stepped closer to the admiral. As the barrage of meteors drew ever closer, one seemingly intent on crushing them whole, Aokiji raised his sword and pointed directly towards it and Sephiroth on the other side.
Spear of Skadi. Aokiji muttered as his ice sword seemingly exploded, expanding upwards and outwards. The hilt spread like a small dome, covering both of the two figures and seemingly shielding them. The tip of the blade shot upwards, piercing and expanding up until it was at least a meter wide but sharp at the tip. Colliding with the meteor, the point of the ice would pierce through the center, then break it as the thicker portion of the massive spear-like creation traveled through. The shattered pieces of the big stone would fall to the side of the two figures, though to Doll’s eyes, Aokiji was now frozen as the ice he had created.
The spear would continue its ascent as the landscape around was devastated by the other meteors, seeking out the source of all this destruction. As if it had a life of its own, it changed its trajectory to truly aim for Sephiroth, aiming to pierce the pirate through his chest and to end all of this.

Tokikake had been a few minutes away when suddenly the entire area before him changed. The frozen wasteland was no longer visible, instead something like a dark wall of energy lay before him.
What the hell? The Vice Admiral thought to himself as he scratched his head just under his hat. He knew that Aokiji and Doll were likely somewhere within, but now he had no idea if approaching them was safe.
Ah dammit, I told em I’d come! He drew his sword, still standing a dozen or so meters away from the strange anomaly. Raising his blade above his head he drew a deep breath, then swung. From the tip of his sword he sent out an airwave, wide in its path as he sought to cut the energy from ground level and several meters up along the edge. What would happen he had no idea, but only one way to find out.

Sephiroth ascended up toward the starry sky, inside here he felt himself The Creator. Complete control. Gravity had no shackles on him, able to move and jump freely as can be. Something that could not be said about his opponents, who were at the whim of gravity whenever Sephiroth desired. Now up in the starry sky, Sephiroth gazed down upon Admiral Aokiji, behind Sephiroth a meteor shower emerging. The many meteors descended onto the battlefield, Admiral Aokiji urging his subordinate to get behind him. From there, Aokiji rose his arm up toward the sky. From his frozen arm, a massive sword of ice was unleashed, expanding upward and outward, flying up toward the meteor that was descending toward them. The meteor was pierced through and shattered by the sword of ice as the rest of the meteors pummeled the battlefield - an apocalyptic scene. The sword of ice cut through the air on its way toward Sephiroth, but weakened. Sephiroth rose his sword up into the air, black Busou-shoku no Haki cladding the blade of the sword, while powerful purple gravitational energy whirled around it. Black lightning of Conqueror's Haki crackled around the blade of the sword, and Sephiroth swung it.
Sephiroth swung the sword vertically downward with both of his hands. Suddenly, from the swing of his sword, a barrage of flying slashes was unleashed - black and purple in color, grand in size and numbers, borne of powerful gravity. ''Connecting'' the slashes to one another was a web of Conqueror's Haki lightning. The barrage of gravitational flying slashes would blitz down, slashing through Admiral Aokiji's sword of ice and coming down onto the battlefield.
As Admiral Aokiji and his subordinate gazed upon at the descending attack, they would find themselves in the middle of what looked like an asteroid belt.
The meteor that they had destroyed, as well as the many meteors that had impacted the battlefield, had all been blasted into many smaller asteroids, recoiling off of the battlefield. Sephiroth clenched his fist, increasing the gravitational pull of both Admiral Aokiji and his subordinate many fold. This would attract the flying slashes, as well as the many asteroids, toward them, causing everything to collapse in on them from all directions at once. The Awakened of one who could fight a Yonkou. Power supreme.

As Aokiji's spear shot towards the stars above, aiming its tip towards Sephiroth, the latter swung his blade. A great power gathered within the sword, positively crackling with raw energy. As he swung the blade down, he unleashed a devastating power onto the tip of the frozen pike, shattering its tip and continuing its advance. However the force would come to a stop only a few meters away, dispersed by another counter attack.
Rokuogan.Aokiji whispered, his hands thrust before him having unleashed the attack that dispersed the force of gravity. Having traveled through the ice he created at immense speed, he was now only a few meters away from Sephiroth. The admiral was still visually obscured by the clash of ice and energy. As the pirate moved to bring the meteors down on the now frozen figure of Aokiji and Doll below, the real Aokiji leapt into action.

Having saved the spire of ice from destruction, he now used it to propel himself the last distance towards his foe. As he burst forth from the frosty mist, he aimed to take advantage of any opening left by his foe focusing on guiding the meteors on the field below. Again Aokiji struck his arms forward, yet instead of the energy of martial might he now expelled another creation of ice, yet this was more iconic to the admiral.
Ice Block: Pheasant Beak. Aokiji shouted as ice shot forth from his hands, shaping into a massive bird that seemed to posess a will of is own. Its beak, already very close to Sephiroth would seek to pierce the pirate through his chest, as well as freeze him thoroughly. At the very last second, Aokiji grabbed ahold of the tailfeathers of the bird to allow himself to be carried towards the pirate even closer.

Below, Doll realized that the Aokiji next to her was not the real him anymore, and cursing herself kicked through the ice that was protecting her. Stepping outside, she realized two things. The first was that the frost from the ice was slowly spreading outwards in all directions, a more determined grow than the sudden bursts that Aokiji usually performed. However, it was instead far more pervasise and determined. She felt the cold deep to her core, even as only her feet touched the surface. Frost particles would spread like a disease, through touch and through the air, slowly making its way across the battlefield. It the ground was torn asunder, it didn't stop its advance.
The second thing she noticed was the meteors bearing down on her from above. Cursing herself again, she let out a battlecry as she leapt into the air. Her feet collided with the first meteor, shattering it on impact just like she had before, but she was sent flying down towards the ground. Another meteor followed, and she was not going to be able to destroy this one in time. Instead, she tried to move out of the way, but too late did she realize she wasn't going to make it. She stumbled and fell on the frozen ground, letting out a cry from her impending doom.
An airblade soared through the air, cutting the meteor in half, sending each part to the side of Doll. A hand appeared above her, offering to lift her up. Turning to see the new arrival, Doll felt a wave of relief upon recognizing her savior.
Ain't nothin' like savin' a young lady in the nick o' time. Tokikake said, a sly smile on his face. Nodding, Doll allowed herself to be pulled off the ground, then used him to pivot herself up into the air to deliver a decisive kick to the next meteor. Together, the two of them were able to defend themselves against the meteor shower.

The meteor shower rained down, some of the meteors destroyed prematurely while others collided with the battlefield, blasting into many bits. A mischievous gravity was at play, and the remnants of the destroyed meteors, now reminiscent of smaller asteroids, surrounded the battlefield in what looked like an asteroid belt. A powerful gravity was assigned to Doll and the asteroid belt collided in on her, bombarding her continuously from all directions. She managed to evade some and destroy others, but before long, she was overwhelmed. Roaring with a battle cry, Doll was almost broken in defeat, at the mercy of the gravity. That is, until help arrived. Some of the asteroids that were about to bombard Doll were destroyed by the newly arrived help - Vice Admiral Tokikake. With newfound resolve, Doll continued to fight alongside Tokikake, surviving the asteroid belt implosion.
Admiral Aokiji, who had evaded the spectacle all together, flew up toward the starry sky, using his own icy attacks to fend off Sephiroth's attacks, while travelling through the ice and appearing not far from Sephiroth, who still towered above, higher up. As Admiral Aokiji approached, he hurled his arm upward, unleashing a massive wave of ice in the form of a pheasant. A powerful amount of fire and gravitational forces whirled in the palm of Sephiroth's free hand. He hurled his hand downward, and from the palm of his hand, a beam of fire and gravity, enhanced with Haki, was unleashed.
A mighty technique that Sephiroth had invented on his own, as opposed to having picked it up by observing it from Admiral Fujitora in their fight to the death. The infernal Ignition flames were clad with a powerful gravity, giving the blast of fire unparalleled concussive force. The beam of fire and gravity collided with the icy pheasant, the two attack pushing against one another for supremacy. Sephiroth, who rested in the sky above the spectacle, had a follow up attack in the works. A mighty dragon of Ignition flames formed, and an armor of gravity surrounded the dragon, stabilizing and reinforcing it, giving it physical form and concussive force. With a swing of his sword, Sephiroth commanded the dragon's descent, it aiming to engulf Admiral Aokiji and violently drive him all the way down to the ground in a grand show of power.
Cold on the heels of his frosty creation, Aokiji watched as Sephiroth managed to summon a wave of flames to meet him. As the fires washed over the icy creature its wings buffeted, dispersing the heat and shielding Aokiji himself from the most of it. Even as the bird was melting, it was smothering the flames.
Below on the ground, the two Vice Admirals finally broke through the barrage, cutting down the last meteor that aimed to crush them. Looking up, they saw the battle taking place in the strange air above. Nodding to one another they both kicked off the ground, climbing rapidly as Aokiji's ice spire crumbled next to them. Kicking their way up through the air, the two officers rapidly approached the duel in the alien sky.
As the pheasant melted away, passing into vapor together with the flames, Aokiji pulled himself forward while there still was something to hold on to. As the last pieces of the ice melted away, ice sprung from the admiral's back, shaping into massive wings of his own. Like a mirror image of Sephiroth's fiery mirage he rose further upwards. Extending his right arm ice burst forth from his hand, extending outwards several meters, before he clasped it tightly.
As Sephiroth summoned a great beast of fire and primal energy, then directing it towards him, Aokiji sprung into action. His wings slammed down, sending him up above the dragon, while swinging the long piece of ice like a massive sword along the spine of the dragon. The tip of the ice exploded even further, sending a myriad of shards aiming to pierce the dragon, if not cutting it in half, at least hindering it greatly.
His wings beating yet again, Aokiji soared forwards, swinging his ice blade once more, directly from the front of Sephiroth. Then, to the pirate's right appeared Doll, a fiery kick aimed towards his torso. Meanwhile Tokikake emerged and swung his sword horizontally against Sephiroth's torso. What would land first, however was Aokiji's attack. His ice blade extended several dozens meters as he approached, swinging it from below, up through the center of the pirate's body, freezing and cutting his flesh.

The mighty dragon of fire and gravitational force collided with the icy pheasant, the two shows of power erupting up in the galactic sky. Vice Admirals Doll and Tokikake saw Sephiroth and Admiral Aokiji face off in the sky and made haste to join in on the fray. As the remnants of the icy pheasant were cast away by the dragon, Admiral Aokiji pushed off of the ice, while also growing a pair of icy wings, flapping them and ascending higher up into the air. He would be the first to reach Sephiroth by a mere few moments, growing an extending sword of ice and slashing upward. Black Busou-shoku no Haki clad Sephiroth's sword and whirling gravitational forces erupted from the blade as Sephiroth swung downward, meeting Aokiji's slash head on. The two swords collided powerfully and equally.
At the pinnacle of the clash, both Vice Admirals, Doll and Tokikake, appeared on Sephiroth's sides, one coming in with a kick while the other with a slash. A decisive moment, here is where Sephiroth would counterattack the weak links. He let go of his sword while an incredible implosion of gravity suddenly pulled both of the Vice Admirals in toward Sephiroth. This would cause the distances between them and him to instantly collapse, giving them little room to fully follow through on their attacks. Sephiroth's free left and right hands collided with their necks, grabbing them. Doll's ''half-kick'' and Tokikake's ''half slash'' would collide with Sephiroth's body, the former cracking a rib and the latter drawing blood, but neither attack had the room to fully push through. Sephiroth's Lunarian durability and mighty black Busou-shoku no Haki would serve to limit the injuries. The moment Sephiroth's hands grabbed their necks, a large prison of gravity would form around them, cutting them away from Admiral Aokiji.
Prison...!
Inside, crushing, piercing and slashing gravitational forces would be unleashed onto the bodies of Vice Admirals Doll and Tokikake, aiming to lacerate their bodies in mere moments.
