I think one of rej/jo tried to contact me and tried role fishing. And I don't see a reason for the town to do that tbh. I don't know who it is though among those two, cause only they know my obsession about tsukki.... I'm confused to be honest

I just watched the movie. I love it and I'd like to add on what Salah has said. 3 picks on lynch candidates = 3 families who are prime suspects for the death of the elderly. 3 observers = 3 detectives who are there to do the job. It makes sense why we need to pick 3 now. None of the family members who attended the ceremony are scums and there are actually 2 potential killers in the story - the nurse and the black sheep. It was later revealed that either of the two are actually the culprit and it was evident to all towns that we have to find the only one.

If I'd say that the movie itself reflects the game, then we are only dealing with a single scum. I dunno how mafia will be fit for this setup but it can be implied that there are multiple 3rd parties here who shared different motives and interests towards the death of the patriarch.
