Nah, i will object to pitching it as Mera will be deemed not so special anymore. Maybe aside from what we mentioned, develop a single characteristic or a feature of one's flame may do. For example, Gambit may transpose his flame onto his weapon and keep it steady like an ember or fortified lava.

Doesn't make the Mera any less special whatsoever lol. The Fiero attacks are much smaller in scale (you can't make nowhere near enough fire to imitate a Hiken or an Entei), on top of no control + no direction change + no intangibility + no flight and so on.

I think we get a discount for +20 in Str which is a Main Stat.
For scientist, I'd rather craft a weapon to get me there. Roshi's tea pot idea is an example (for Medicine).

Well, it is in fact much inferior to the Awakening item.

Because 120 in strength only affects DPR (awakening affects speed of attacks too), and it's easy to get to 101 strength so 120 is just one up, whereas with DF, your max is 100, so 120 is two up. And awakening gives an ability on top. xD

Dragon Pirates boost your paycheck certainly and it's hard to connect into a story but should be a good prequel while you traverse towards the story-oriented island, like Dressrosa, and meet your ancestors.
