In the persona games ng+ gives you access to all your old personas. It allows you to steam roll the early game so it's different depending on the game/rules 🤷
Persona is weird like that, the game is not supposed to be completed at 100% on first try, at least I believe it so. Some other games make you wait for getting access to your previous items. Some let you only the LP and SP etc etc...

He ain’t steam rolling early game. He is steam-rolling end-game shit. I just think that we should see how it works for players that do the NG+. It just might need some adjustments.

I dunno maybe it's more the messenger than the message but shit looks weird. And I will repeat something again. Nobody is sacrificing anything. Legacy Character is a choice.

I thought the Seraphim was more like a tool to dissuade players against yours. A cool bodyguard that can intervene or scare NPCs. But it’s different to sit and watch as they cut through everything.
It’s a free RP tho. So at the end of the day, it is what it is. 🤷🏾‍♂️

That's a different subject, that the ''Hard Mode'' isn't hard enough? But if that's your concern, that's something to bring up for the GM team to re-evaluate them and make them level 100s, etc.. But the idea was not that. Because that's not ''hard'', that's ''end-game''. Which is next level.

It being called ''hard mode'' and me being level 25 has nothing to do with each other. Fact of the matter is I'm using a level 80 NPC to fight level 60, 65 and 70 NPCs. So I don't see what I'm doing wrong. If your argument is that the NPCs are not strong enough to justify the naming ''hard mode'', that's a different subject altogether.

As for saying it should be illegal to ''ride the coattails of your NPC'', that's again a different subject altogether and has to do with what you can buy with your DC gained from legacy-ing a character. I bought a legal item and am using it legally lol.

If ya'll wanna make the argument that you shouldn't be able to buy DC NPCs that are higher level than your PC, that's an argument you can make, but again, different subject altogether and I bought it fair under current rules. Though if your argument is that it's ''cheap'', it'll be very hard for you to make that argument, because keep in mind the cost of a new level 25 PC is legacy-ing your maxed out PC, which is the biggest price you could possibly pay lol.

I gave up a maxed out, end-game character that was years in the making, had like 500 bill worth of items and like 500 DC worth of DC, and I gave that up for 100 DC lol. So the new PC having a bit of a headstart is barely an issue imo.

As for Arlong dying, if that's your problem, I already said I most likely won't manage to beat him, nd even if I did, it wouldn't be a kill, because you're not allowed to kill NPCs unless it's for a DF. So worst case, Arlong gets collected for bounty and ends up in Impel Down, which gives him all sorts of future potential for story.

So iunno what the issue here is at all. It's like I'm dealing with an emotional Arlong fanclub or something. >_>

So what, no transfering of DF either? Seems to be a spit in the face of starting at level 25, if you can just start off with a Logia and all of your equal level opposition has no Haki.

You're not understanding that the new PC is MEANT to start off with a bonus, cause you gave up your entire previous maxed out PC lol. If you wanna start off as level 25 with nothing, then just reset your PC normally?

Cause what you're insinuating is a slippery slope, half of the stuff in the DC shop would then need to be banned for purchase for the new level 25. For example, instead of a Seraphim, I could have also bought Zunesha for my level 25, and just crush islands on my way. So what, no Seraphim, no Zunesha, no Logias, no to half of Paramecias (cause having Diamond paramecia will make you unbeatable against other level 25s), no to genetic beast, no to super robot, etc etc..
@Einsauer see, I told you you were arguing wrong. I literally told Kaka to kill himself, and yet you get the novel length rebuttal.

I personally have no issues with it. Just like how prestiging works in all games starting over from start should give something to incentive it imo. Otherwise no one in their right mind would go for it. In the end even if it is a choice you still sacrifice something. Whether or not is is voluntary a sacrifice is a sacrifice lol.

I feel the main issue actually is Kaka using the doku which even at low level is at the tier of almost being broken. If he had no df or even a logia he wouldn't be having an allegedly 'easy' time. Haven't read the thread so can't comment on it.

It's just a high dps char using his npc in a tanking role from what i feel. Doesn't really break any rules imo.

No, it's not. I've been reading it, Doku hasn't really played a role at all; he's used it once (low-level poison due to his mastery). Like I said earlier, a level 25 with a DF wouldn't get very far in solo hardmode. It's 100% the Seraphim.

Not even saying it should be a rule-break, per se. It just seems to spit in the face of "starting at level 25" if you're using a level 80 puppet.
And by the same logic, it seems to spit in the face of "hard-mode" to solo the island with the level 80 puppet.
In defense of Hard Mode, this is East Blue. Just like East Blue has lvl 30 and New World has lvl 90s, the Hard Mode in East Blue is supposed to be weaker than a Hard Mode in New World. It’s a weaker blue. I intentionally let it be a weaker Hard Mode than what New World would be. Even tho Arlong is lvl 80 with Energy Steroids, which effectively makes him level 90+ when ingesting steroids…

Seraphim dosen’t have haki. It should not be able to beat an actual well-RPed lvl 80 NPC with Energy Sterioids. Guren had an endgame character in Blood Lord Castle with the second most broken DF, against level 100 NPC with Larsi as host - ask Guren how that went.

I haven’t read Conomi Islands, but accepting what everyone is saying, this is as much on the host than the player. Players have different skills as RPers and different strengths with characters. Hard to penalize RPers for having skill to get the job done. You have to host accordingly and make the island live up to its challenge. That’s the issue, not the Seraphim with no haki.

I once had endgame Spada try to bully lvl 70 Ivankov and @Dream threw fucking Dragon at me, who was not even an island NPC. Dragon, for god’s sake. Dream literally inspired a rule.

I dropped this point because it seemed like I was combatting the players more than the rules (and truthfully, I do think Seraphim is bit broken for a fresh New Game+ character at least compared to the other options). I don't think it's a Kaka specific issue. But--
you're hosting for an experienced player and GM who (from my perspective) seems to be comfortable allowing you to be unintentionally more lenient than you should be.
This isn't to say Lamby isn't a big boy that can think for himself- But it takes two to tango and one of the people tangoing just so happens to be a gold-medalist veteran dancer that also helps decide the music we're all dancing to. 👀

I'm doing what Kaka wants to be done, in the most logical fashion I can. :tmm: So even if it comes down to the host, the host is following the story issued by the player

And I totally get that btw, didn't mean to brush by that, it wouldn't make sense for Arlong to be level 100. It's hard-mode relative to the location.
