Some of your reason are bad do you guys really dont want activity in manga threads. All i see bunch of rpg games where limited people play.
Which reasons are bad? Anime and Manga section is actually linked in the frontpage.(its just the link which is outdated and leads to the wrong place)

All I am saying is that there is no need to put Anime Manga discussions above Community activities.

Or do you refer to that I am not a fan of shipping and powerlvl discussion, because its often leads to toxic fanboying?

I don't play RP and stoped playing Mafia, I am only here for OP discussions. But for me there is no need to put OP discussions above Community activities to push activity.

nessos tell me something why was this forum created??

you wanna downplay it now??
Damn it start reading my posts.
I want the Text of the frontpage continue to highlight Mafia and RP.

For me it is just a style thing. For me the frontpage is overloaded the introduction text is in my opinion enough. No need to mention Mafia and RP twice.

Leave your ideas and leave it at that, the thread is already clogged enough.

  • Community Events: Move to the top of "Official Activites"
  • Discord: "Official Activites" -> "Main Categoty"
  • Creativity Corner: "Entertainment" -> "Official Activites"
  • Theories: "Entertainment" -> "Series Gallery"
  • Forum Games: "Miscellaneous" -> "Official Activities" (between RP and Creativity Corner)
  • Fan Clubs and Groups: "Chitchat" -> "Miscellaneous"
I just highlighted the parts I would agree with. For Creativity Corner though I do see it as entertainment and not an official activity. There are events running but personally I would let it stay in the Entertainment Section. The forum games are as well not really official activities but only free to do stuff where you neither gain posts count, salty doubloons or anything else, so I don't quite get the thought behind it.

Renaming Sections and Subforums
I agree with all your name suggestions, it would look more structured and welcoming.

Think about removing Mafia and RP banner (less is sometimes more)
I can't say that this is a good option. Portraying the main aspects of the forum is definitely important so visitors know what's going on. But another solution would be to make them a bit smaller (since a lot of it is just images and the widespread text is making it difficult to read), maybe next to each other, and add the Series Gallery at least as a third option, even if it is the last one.

If manga isnt main focus this forum will not last long. All i see is rpg games nobody really plays it anymore.
I see it somewhat similar but I am pretty sure this change is not open for discussion to the mods and in general the members. The forum is officially a Mafia and Roleplay forum, which uses One Piece as a ground base. I see it as important though to bring more activity into the Manga and Anime section so people might join for discussion and thus also join Mafia and RP. But that has been discussed before already.

Creativity Corner though I do see it as entertainment and not an official activity.
The reason I would put Creativity Corner to activity is because Entertainment subsection is for me a discussion subsection with subforums like "Movies", "TV", "Computer Games" and "Sports". But Creativity Corner is actually to promote self written text and selfmade art and there are also the avy and banner shops. Thats why for me "Entertainment" is the wrong place for tue "Creativity Corner". Another place could be the Miscellaneous section.

Forum Games I am not sure. Definetly doesn't fit with "Official Activities", but they definetly fit with "Community Activities".
But Most of them are soamming games so I also agree with "Forum Games" keep staying in "Miscellaneous".

Here is my 2 cents:
1. The mods are running things similar to OJ despite this not being OJ. Relax a bit not every single thing needs to be on topic, its actually one of the reasons why I didnt really discuss stuff in One Piece section of OJ. You say XXX when the topic is YYY your post is insta deleted. Forum isn't that big just chill out guys. That's why forums like narutoforums still going strong because people like being there, I am sure members who signed up early quit this place because of how strict it is...im just saying.
2. I suggest we leave the section order as it is this was supposed to be focused on mafia and RP and I don't know about RP but mafia struggling hard.
3. Maybe add more featured series and a section where people can just troll. Sometimes people gotta let off steam somehow.

So we can spam and talk absolute garbage and have non-sense posts and trolling in there without worries? :yay:

Alright another thing I wanna discuss. Everyone is saying the Mods need to "lighten up" and stop deleting posts. But no one is sayin they had their own posts deleted, that they just heard about it. Essentially it's become rumor we delete all posts that are off topic.

Look guys, I've spent the last 2 days going through and looking at deleted posts on our site in the anime and manga section. So let me lay some facts out:
One Piece General discussion where our original One Piece thread was: 4 deletions in July. All deletions were related to spoilers of a specific chapter.
One Piece Chapters: 2 deletions (out of all those chapters), and these were in the same chapter back in August. These deletions were acknowledging likes recieved.
Various One Piece Topics: 4 deletions. Single emoji or gif reactions do not add to the conversations, we encourage y'all to post with words too so there can be discussions. That accounted for 1 deletion. Another 2 were for trying to start Zoro vs Sanji stuff. And the last was indeed off topic and inappropriate.
So One Piece section had 10 deletions total.

Onwards then. My Hero Academia: 0 deletions.

Other manga and anime: 11 deletions total. Of those 4 were for broken post by members who left us, it was before the bug got fixed and our only option was deletion. 4 more deletions were for posting spoilers and raws. We have the no spoilers and full images rule in place because of those new international laws and they could open us to the same problems OJ was facing. The last 3 were deleted because they were just repetitions of saying they were dropping the manga.

Outside the Manga and Anime sections I'll admit to deleting posts that are single emojis or gif reactions with no words added on. I'd rather y'all say ":pepemusic: digging it because xyz reasons!" than ":pepemusic:" we have a multitude of likes available on our posts so we don't have to quote people to laugh emoji at their posts or to tell em you absolutely agree with them using a heart emoji or "this" reaction gif. (You'll also notice more discussion points are brought up when you say WHY you agree or like something and lookie there :D an increase in topic discussion which is the number one goal).
As for the Admin deletion methods here is what they say:
People generally tend to underplay their posts and overplay moderators actions when talking in private with others, its natural, you want to be seen in a good light, i dont judge for that. But when i see a one liner that targets the thread title but blatantly ignores the big paragraphs that makes up the title, i will delete them. I trust our moderators in their decisions, and yoill just have to trust us that you're maybe not seeing the whole picture, however if you feel as if your own post was deleted incorrectly, you are free to contact one of the admins or S-mods and we'll look into it.

It happened in RP and Mafia
Once my post was deleted cuz I posted a reaction gif don't you think that's unnecessary, it was a game I was hosting anyway
I don't see the need to write paragraphs for everything

Again it feels like being too serious

As somebody who has had posts deleted for the very same reason, I don't see it as a problem at all. Sure it was a little annoying at the time but I can see why the mods do it, a line should be drawn somewhere and it was basically the same way back on OJ. It's only happened when it's been just a picture or completely off topic. I'm sure you can find a middle ground without needing to write whole paragraphs lol

Okay thanks for the overview. I just brought it up since Nana mentioned it to me and as I am not active in all parts of the forum myself I couldn't judge well if that was the case. I always felt a bit like holding back though with posting because even if I wanted to answer I sometimes felt like "mmhh so I have to actually write something so it doesn't get deleted".

I'm sure you can find a middle ground without needing to write whole paragraphs lol
Yeah I think that might take time for some people to get used to. In general I can understand the rule but I feel a bit of freedom restricted since everone likes to react differently to some posts.

I honestly don't know how the "we delete everything" got started, to delete everything off topic we would have to read every single post. :blobconfused:
and I mean I love y'all but I've got maybe 4 hours a day to spare for all the activity around the forum.
Which is why we need you guys to report stuff if you see off topic things/inappropriate things happening (in case y'all didn't know there is a report button there on the bottom left of a post )Screenshot_20191212-021257_Chrome.jpg

Looking through other sections through the day only deletions I have seen are mainly from deleted members who had broken posts or those single reaction gif/emojis, and to be fair the most recent deletion I saw for that was late September.

As I said I don't know much about it but put it in there since it was brought up during discussion. And if it doesn't really happen I am relieved. So all good

Hello, I logged in to give my thoughts on this topic. I have also voted on the poll. In my opinion, The age of forums is over. It is the era of instant messaging services now. I don't see forums making a comeback anymore and the activity of a forum will remain low. My interest in forums has rapidly declined and I am currently active only on a gaming server on Discord. I think the best thing to do in this situation is to post quality content which will attract the guests to register. A system should be implemented where a user will get x amount of SD currency on posting. This would encourage people to post more, earn money and buy cool items from the shop. If possible there should be more items in the shop. It is also important to not get discouraged by low activity. If everyone remains hopeful, positive and active, the activity of the forum may rise again. This is my advice and I hope it helps. Best of luck.

Whole lot of you are presenting this as this was a several years old forum which plummeted in activity and expect it to be as active as OJ when the forum just started few months ago, and as someone who had a lot of experience with administrating forums back in my day,
, TB is quite active for the number of active users we currently have, and for the purpose it was opened (primarily Mafia/RP fun followed by manga discussions), and I'm sure it will exponentionally grow, in time.

I agree that we should make more interesting content, contests, activities and such, but I'm the first guy that won't push those ideas when there are not many ppl interested, primarily for example photo contest ideas and recipe/cooking/food contest ideas cuz there is almost no one posting in Photography Gallery and TB Kitchen threads. I do believe that those and other parts of the forum will be more active when TB becomes more popular on the forums scene.

I'm not sure about forum era but OJ was kicking till it ended...many opened the new account to just say goodbye..
TB is just few month baby and will grow more in the future , but can't grow with Mafia/RP centric audiance...
So in the end we will have to do something to attract more anime/manga fans , that's why there should b place for One Piece in "Home" front page of the forum below Mafai and RP section.

Also there r some rule which don't required for now..
For ex : In Kingdom thread we can't discuss spoiler before chapter out..
OFC i can creat different spoiler threat (which is not allowed i guess)
But we have only 4-5 people who discuss kingdom , and all of us read spoiler , but we can't discuss in the thread !!
Why this rule ? When those who r active don't have problem getting spoiler , for whom this rules r made ?
Post get delet when we discuss about spoiler but unlike one piece , Kingdom spoiler (including pages and full summary) come 3-4 days before . By the time chapter out we read Raw and full summary..
Nothing much to discuss afterward..

Just to let you guys know, we're gonna be adressing all the suggestions tomorrow afternoon. In the meanwhile we added new emotes (and fixed some sizing problems) for you guys to enjoy.

Just as One Piece has a Spoiler PM I think there could be the option for Kingdom to have one as well if the mods can manage it. It just needs to be addressed.

Of course but we would like to work on it and build the forum well. It takes time, I am aware of that but it sometimes just feels really silent here so I hope that some new fresh ideas will help the forum grow.

I don't like to discuss spoiler in PM , that's why i left the OP PM , i read it on Reddit..
Anyway what's the point of having thread , if we can not discuss there..
This rule can b apply when we get 50 members , and majority don't want to discuss spoiler..
Right now we have 6-7 members , such rule does not require for now..
