Isn't that what the mods are for? To warn people to not do that? You can have fun and open discussions without being toxic as well. Having fun isn't only toxic.

Okay if TB was to be allowed to grow how would you guys want it to grow?

quality over quantity, especially for mafia and RP + stronger advertisement, for example over google, discord and amino

it doesnt help to just take members from other forums by giving out more freedom and possibilities

think about it, TB ain't the only forum suffering from this problem, there is many, also high quality ones

Rejecting something out of fear of the unknown leads often to failure. Rejection because you think you know is just as bad.

Being open about trying things in new ways can always help. But staying the same forever won't bring us anywhere. if someone just said "yeah I am okay with living in cave, that's good enough", we wouldn't be living in houses today, that are heated, and comfy, and with light, electricity and entertainment. The same just goes for everything else. Go with the flow and change, explore new things, and don't hesitate to do mistakes.

What is worse?
Staying like this, quiet, boring, and no change? No new members?
or
Trying out new ways to make this place more welcoming and exciting? And if that crashes, fine. But at least we tried. If this way we try to suggest and convince about doesn't work, we will find new ways. That's how you figure things out. Not by staying the same until all eternity.

I loved Oj as much as anyone else and I was never under the impression that this would be a rebranding. I think people want Oj reborn so badly that they are trying to push for more of it on TB. TB was created for Mafia and RP, with everything else to be a side topic. I like it the way it is. There is no room for people being asshats and degrading others for not sharing the same thoughts and opinions. Can there be more topics, yes, but it's more to manage. I would love to see some jojo, but hey, it's OK. I am still getting used to this place myself, but see no overall problems. But... That's just my opinion

Saying town of Salem means town of Salem doesn’t explain anything. For a newcomer all of this is confusing.

They had a simple idea for a site and want to expand in their own way. They had a simple idea for a site and want to expand in their own way. I commend you for bringing up change, because at the very least, It will show them what the community is feeling and then figure out if they want to add more features.

Of course the creators and mods have their own view on things but it's important to ask all of us and not just let them do... especially when they don't put visible effort into new content or bringing forward ideas to attract new people. Of course I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but it just looks a bit sad to me. Everyone who is satisfied with how the forum is running: Move on and continue what you do, that's great. But some people just want a bit more space and I hope to just make those voices heard a bit.

Like Larsi has pointed it out earlier, we are gonna adress this all soon and discuss with you guys. I also made the notice forum wide so everyone is aware of this thread and point their suggestions so we can look.

The bolded part is so untrue and really hurtful since we made a lot of adjustments and added more stuff for the enjoyment of everyone.

We made One Piece, My Hero Academia and Kingdom their own sections instead of a single thread. We made Groups and Fanclubs after people asked for it, we made a Theory Section when asked because it was originally inside Creative Corner. We made a new brighter theme after people asked tons of times for a brighter one.
Other new content? I made the Trick or Treat games, which most people only signed up for the trick and treat part, but didn't give the time of the day for the treasure hunt. There were an OW tournament, we made Game Giveaway as well and are on the standby because we're waiting for the people who wanted to host contests didn't respond anymore. So yeah, it's hurtful to hear we are not putting visible effort when we did plenty of stuff and now we have to hear this.

With that I can understand a bit more to get new members and topics to keep people involved. I have tried Mafia and I suck, but I still enjoy lurking around here. There are so many from Oj that are here and I love seeing what's going on with them. I just just don't want a vision of TB to become overrun with things it wasn't supposed to be, unless of course that's the direction they decide to go. I am all for new, but not taking over.

In one point I totally disagree with @stala_dynar the OP section is fine like it is now(maybe add a spoiler thread). But there is a need to offer discussions for more series.

Which causes the problem that there will also be the need of more Staff members keeping an eye in multiple subforums. And also create threads to push activity.

I am all for new, but not taking over.

Thats why I am against pushing OP section, but I am standing for more diversity in Manga/Anime section by getting a few more featured series.

And I would also add Forum Games to "official activites" but changing the name to "community activities_ to not scare off visitors who are actually interisted in discussions.

Okay, I am sorry. I don't mean to be disrespectful but I just felt that also ideas were rejected a lot, especially in the beginning about making the OP section larger and it needed quite some time until that happened. I saw @Roogy suggesting a game once, and I liked the idea, but nobody else saw it even though he asked for feedback. It could have gotten a notice as well so people actually noticed he has an idea and wanted feedback. It looked really interesting. @Waindo had a game idea and all it received was "put it as a forum game down below", which shouldn't be the case when someone offers an idea and the first feedback they are looking for is kind of negative.

You're doing something when people really ask for it. But when it comes to the actual stuff that could help the forum grow as one, it looks a bit different. I can see you all want a Mafia and Roleplay forum. I get it. It is one. Alright. But letting other sections and topics grow shouldn't be much of a problem. The Mafia and Roleplay Section won't suffer under it, if we get a bit more space for other things, and possibly new members from it as well. We already made steps, of course, but those took longer than needed (at least from my feeling, I could be wrong).

As for the contests and contents you said, you are indeed right, I may have missed out since I don't take part in everything. I tried your trick and treat and failed miserably. About OW and Game Giveaways though, they are "events" but are more or less announced here and done somewhere else. It is nice for the community which is definitely a plus, I think they are good ideas and all!!!, but it doesn't really help pushing activity on Thriller Bark itself, which I told to be the main problem in my original post.

What I ask for is just content that could attract new people to come and stay here and be active here. Not only content that is for people who are here since the beginning. I hope you see the difference. I don't mean you're not trying, I mean it feels like you avoid the issue to find a way to get new members. I am sorry to have hurt you.

That's exactly the point. Bringing up topics to get new members and they can also join Mafia and RP!

I don't want to change everything either, I just hope for a way to improve TB and hope that my ideas help and bring the forum forward. I myself joined here without ever joining Mafia or Roleplay, but I think it's a bit sad that despite those two options there isn't much activity in other sections of the forum, and even in Mafia and RP the activity is dropping as others already said.
