Resolved Forum and Thread Ideas to push activity

I don't like to discuss spoiler in PM , that's why i left the OP PM , i read it on Reddit..
Anyway what's the point of having thread , if we can not discuss there..
This rule can b apply when we get 50 members , and majority don't want to discuss spoiler..
Right now we have 6-7 members , such rule does not require for now..

As far as I understand is that they would have to deal with cooyright issues, if they allow spoiler discussion.

But I still doubt that you will get Copyright issues, if you are not the provider of the spoilers and if spoilers are always posted with source. In my opinion all 3 featured Manga series of this forum need need a spoiler thread.

The forum structure would change to this format:

Thriller Bark

• Suggestion/Support

• Discord

Featured Sections or Hot Talk?

• One Piece
• MHA
• Kingdom
• League of Legends (it's the current thread with more activity without it's current section)

Community Activities

• Mafia
• One Piece Roleplay
• Forum Games

Entertainment

• Anime & Mangas
• Theories
• Thriller Bark's Lounge (sort of café for news, challenges and the sorts)
• Creative Corner
• Movies & Tv
• Gaming

- Adding OP, MHA and other featured series in the Home Page
*We will update the whole home page and add more stuff actually.

- Allowing shipping groups*
*This will be inside Clubs & Groups section, which will be moderated by @Shion and @Chris Mic.

- Allowing spoiler threads*
*Spoiler threads will be allowed but with a few restrictions:
1. No linking or full scans (half scans are fine tho)
2. No emoji only responses, since those don't contribute to anything really. We might allow one or two image only, however if done in a constant pace we will delete.
3. Spoiler threads will be created in their respective sections (OP, MHA, Kingdom) but for Manga & Anime will be a single thread for all spoilers released.

Those will be moderated by @Shion, @novaselinenever and @Beky (after he is integrated again in January)

- More Manga/Anime threads is something you guys have to do yourselves too, it's not only us that have to bring new content.

- More Casual/Spam threads can be made, however those will have to be approved by us first as to not allow super spamming to reach higher ranks in one week.

- Shitpost thread can be made in General Chat, I don't see why it can't be done there since we don't mod that thread.

- We will upgrade to a new and better server host sometime in January, and it may then be possible to return alerts or push notifications or both.

- New items in the shop

- SD given for contribution throughout the forum (1 SD per post and 10 SD per new thread)

- Every month in the announcement section we will start a thread to inform whats going on in the forum, events to look forward to and other things.

- Some of the medals are now in effect. You can see them here Medals. There are some Mafia / RP medals still in the works, and there will be 8 general medals for the whole site. They will be in effect sometime before new year.

The new forum structure looks interesting? I can see that it makes sense of some sort, so I am excited to see it being given a try. I am pretty surprised though that you changed the order and put the featured series above Mafia and Roleplay. I thought it is something the Mod Team wouldn't ever do!

I hope some people will like that, as a lot have been wondering about spoilers. I ain't a spoiler reader myself but if I ever ask for some I am happy it will be possible in the future.

I hope some people will like that, as a lot have been wondering about spoilers. I ain't a spoiler reader myself but if I ever ask for some I am happy it will be possible in the future.

A community/forum is built around its members. We started as RP/Mafia and will continue with that but we can't ignore the requests and wishes of members who aren't part of them.

We need an influx of players for mafia and RP, best way besides actively promoting in sites that allow advertising is to have people who are completely new to the concept to join by seeing that we allow anime/manga discussion here too.

I am glad this went through. As business finance major and starting to start my own business, I can tell, for better or worst, change is needed to growth and survive. While this might not be a business (That I know of) it is an organization and community and some of the same rules apply. Nothing in here is supper innovative because is not new but it is innovation in a sense that changes are been made with purpose of improving the forum and increasing traffic.

For those skeptical about the changes, Anime and manga don't have to be the main focus if not a funnel into Role Play and Mafia games. If the forum is looking to increase the presence of anime and manga threads without sacrificing its focus on RP and Mafia, it should start thinking how to convert people that initially came looking to discus anime into RP and Mafia players. Is the same as marketing and trying to convert clients to sales.

There is multiple ways this can be done out of the top of my head, prizes, titles, player statistics, competitions within the games i.e. The one who post more per game, MVP, The one with the most kills, The biggest baddie, best wining as town or mafia or both ratio and so on and so on. As well making big events each 3 month or so, some big mafia competition. Other ways are giving it good promotion to the games beyond just posting the thread. Btw this are just random ideas that could be polished or just serve as a starting point to start brain storming ways to convert.

I hope the new policies do increase traffic for the forum, and activity picks up, if not becomes a starting point to pay attention to traffic and improving the forum. In Spanish we have a saying "Camaron que se duerme se lo lleva la corriente" "Shrimps that sleeps gets taken away by the current" Don't sound as good in English but it means that who stops improving, evolving, changing, try to be better will stay behind. And before that happens I hope this forum tries everything in its power to stay afloat!!!
